        This paper investigates the waveform analysis of voltage and current waveform from CRDI engine. It is on developing on analysis method of waveform CRDI Diesel engine. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope are employed to measure current and voltage waveform of solenoid injector from CRDI engine. The one normal and two abnormal solenoid injectors are used. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. A summary of the important results are as follows. 1) The area of the voltage and current waveform of the abnormal injector becomes larger than the that of normal injector. 2) The area of the current waveform can be obtained more accurate results than that of voltage waveform.

        In general, polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and ductile cast iron pipes are widely used in the water supply pipeline system. However, they have some disadvantages such as reduced durability due to material degradation, defects in connections, breakage of pipelines, and difficulties in continuous maintenance. To mitigate such problems, recently, research on durable and outstanding corrosion resistant glass fiber reinforced polymer plastic (GFRP) pipe is being actively conducted. GFRP is classified into the flexible pipe and when soil pressure and live load act on buried GFRP pipe, the load acting on the pipe is transferred to the surrounding soil. So, it should review the structural behavior and interaction between buried pipe and its surrounding soil because pipe will support the load with the surrounding soil together at the same time. To apply GFRP pipe for the water supply pipeline system, the structural reliability of GFRP water supply pipe buried underground should be investigated by examining the mechanical properties of GFRP pipe as well as the soundness of the pipe under buried state. The field test of buried pipe is conducted and the results are analyzed and discussed.

        This study analyzed by measuring the voltage waveform of the injector intended for operating CRDI diesel vehicle. The cases of the EGR trouble and a EGR normal is considered. 1) The voltage waveform in the case of the normal and trouble, the difference between the maximum voltage was not large, decrease in the number of voltage gated pulses with the increase in engine speed, sustained current remained for this period. 2) The voltage waveform, comparing the case of the normal case and trouble, the size of the maximum voltage, no large change in gate pulse voltage is to be generated than in the case of a defective irregular longer opening time of the injector factor it was possible to know the bad influence on the fuel efficiency.

        Pultruded fiber reinforced polymeric plastic (PFRP) has many advantages such as high corrosion resistance, high specific stength/stiffness, light weight, etc. Pultrusion is a manufacturing process for producing continuous lengths of reinforced polymeric structural shapes with constant cross-section. The mechanical property of PFRP is usually regarded as an orthotropic material. The pultruded structural shapes are usually composed of thin-walled plate element. Because the composite material has relatively low elastic moduli, the design of pultruded compression members may not be governed by the material strength limit state but by the stability limit state such as the local buckling. Therefore, the stability limit state must be checked to design pultruded thin-walled compression members. In this paper, we present the analytical study results of elastic buckling strength of PFRP orthotropic plates with different fiber volume ratios. The local buckling analysis of pultruded compression members was conducted for various composite materials using the closed-form solution. From the study it was found that if E11/E22 is increased then the plate buckling coefficient, hence the plate buckling strength, is decreased.

        In the water supply pipeline system, pipes made by cast iron, PE, PVC are generally used. However, the structural performance of these materials can be declined when used for long periodsof time because of corrosion, creep, deterioration of the material, etc. while glass fiber reinforced polymer plastics (GFRP) have many advantages such as light-weight, corrosion resistance, smooth surface, etc. For these reasons, GFRP pipes are good for construction when it is buried underground and are increasing trend in applying the water supply pipeline system. Therefore, more optimized structural design methodology should be developed. In this paper, we confirm pipe stiffness (PS) of GFRP pipe in which the pipe stiffness indicates the load-bearing performance. We compared data of parallel-plate loading test and theoretically predicted PS by the classical elasticity theory and the finite element method (FEM).

        Generally, antiseptic synthetic woods are used in septic environment because of their durability and relatively fine view. However, they have problems such as a failure of connection between the members under the septic conditions. In this study we investigate a fiber reinforced polyurethane foothold to be used in the wet environment to replace the synthetic wood. The fiber reinforced polyurethane foothold is consist of 2 different layer of materials. First layer is a glass fiber reinforced polymeric plastics (GFRP) which is located at outer surface of the foothold. This GFRP outer layers carry most parts of load. Second layer is a polyurethane layer which transfers the load to each outer layer. Flexural tests for this foothold are conducted. From the flexural tests it is confirmed that the structural performance of foothold test specimen with different number of GFRP layers and density of the polyurethane.

        In this paper, we present the result of analytical investigation pertaining to the structural behavior of steel-concrete composite plate girder with arch-type web stiffener. In the arch-type web stiffener located in the compression side of web, infill concrete is cast to strengthen the arch-type stiffener and also to exert resisting force against compression force. This type of composite steel-concrete plate girder bridge is built and is in service. To understand the behavior thoroughly, analytical parametric study was conducted by using the finite element method. As a result it was found that the effect of arch-type stiffener with infill concrete is considerable for the design of such type composite girder bridge.

        This study developed a portable extinguishing equipment that can extinguish A-class, B-class fire. This equipment is made of Water Mist Gun, controlling board, decelerator, pump, engine, and etc,. This equipment is formed mist water when pressurized water with high pressure flows through a radial shape nozzle. As a result of several efficiency tests, it is developed nozzle and equipment that are not clogged, and improved the extinguishing efficiency. This developed equipment indicated a excellent effect of initial extinguishment of fire in a vulnerable area where it is difficult to approach such as temple, and traditional market.

        The several experiments of Diesel vehicles using EFT were completed. The experiments were performed on chassis dynamometer and road driving test using test mode such as FTP-75 and LA-4. The experiments were employed to measure the effect eco-friendly EFT additives on exhaust emissions and fuel consumption efficiency. In this experiment, the following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between exhaust emissions and EFT additives. The value of exhaust emissions such as NOX, SOX, CO2 and PM were improved as Diesel mixed EFT additives at th ratio of 200:1. The improvement of resulting data value was best PM, NOX, SOX, CO₂and fuel consumption rate in the order named.

        FRP members which have light weight, high specific strength and stiffness, and good corrosion resistance are used widely in the electrical transmission system. Recently, FRP instead of steel, wood, and concrete tower is installed and in use. In this paper, we investigated the feasibility of replacement of traditional materials (steel, wood, and concrete) in electrical transmission towers by the fiber reinforced polymer plastic (FRP) members through the literature review. It was found that the FRP electrical transmission towers were applied in many countries due to its various advantages.

        GFRP (glass fiber reinforced polymeric plastic) composite members are superior construction materials because they have higher specific strength and stiffness than steel and concretes. In addition, they also have high resistance to chemical corrosion. However, in many existing researches it reported that GFRP members have less resistance to ultra-violet ray (UV-ray), so they may cause critical structural problems due to changes of mechanical properties when the material is long-term exposed under UV-ray. In this study, we investigated whether these reports are reliable through two processes. First, we reviewed existing researches on the FRP members’s resistance to UV-ray, and then we conducted tensile strength test for GFRP sample exposed to UV-ray for 30 months (900 days). These two processes showed that mechanical properties of GFRP members do not change under long-term UV-ray exposure and they have enough resistance to UV-ray.

        The two experiments of gasoline vehicle using eco-friendly treatment(Ecoburn) were completed. The experiments was done on traveling using the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer and road driving test. The experiments were employed to measure exhaust emissions and fuel consumption. In this experiment, the correlation between CO₂and fuel consumption were found in gasoline vehicle. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between exhaust emissions and additives. 1) If the value of exhaust emissions such as CO, HC, NOX, CO₂were improved as gasoline mixed additives at th ratio of 300:1. The value of fuel consumption were worse compare to those of exhaust emission. The improvement of resulting data value was best CO, HC, NOX and fuel consumption in the order named. 2) The value of CO₂ were to be nearly proportional to the fuel consumption value.

        Gudeul is traditional heating system of Korea that contains the much wisdom of Korean ancestors. It is a radiating heating system with a solid heat source. Recently, there has been a preference to Huangto and traditional gudeul heating in lawn houses, environment friendly house, healthy houses, and eco-houses. There is a reemphasis on the uniquely Korean traditional gudeul heating technique. Past researches have been on gudeul structure, terminology, development, and research on the efficiency of traditional gudeul has been continuously conducted. The gudeul has many parts and these parts work in close association with each other in order to successfully function as a heating system. The slightest bit of disassociation can lead to the decrease in efficiency or failure. Therefore there is a need find an exacting formula for the relationships between the parts. Therefore, an exacting survey on the sizes of gudeul need to conducted on traditional gudeul in order to preserve and develop traditional gudeul. However, there are very few surveys conducted on traditional gudeul in Designated Treasures and newly excavated sites and most of studies are conducted based on literature. In contrast to previous researches, this is an actual survey and research of the hamsil gudeul found in Mucheomdang, which it Designated Treasure No. 411.This survey was conducted by dismantling and restoring the gudeul in Mucheomdang. It was found that the goraejaejari was about 15~20cm smaller than the usual and though there was no gultukgaejari the agunggi was placed lower so that the fire went in easily, inline with the heat principle. In order to maintain and further develop traditional gudeul, gudeul survey and actual measurements must be taken at excavation sites and whenever there are restoration processes taking place in designated treasure. It is suggested that gudeul professional be included in this process because without their input it is easy to miss important aspects. If professionals are not included there is a great chance the cultural value of gudeul maybe lost forever in the near future. Gudeul is layed differently by function and region, therefore there is no one gudeul that is exactly the same, therefore, it is suggested that national, state and city government, whenever restoring or dismantling a Designated Treasure, call upon a gudeul professional. Furthermore, more traditional gudeul should be dismantled and actual measurements and surveys should be taken to collect more exacting data.

        말벌은 숲속 상위 포식성 절지동물로, 숲 생태계 유지 및 초식성 곤충류 등의 밀 조 조절에 기여한다. 최근 숲속에 서식하는 말벌류가 도심지에도 출몰하면서 공포 와 불안을 야기하고 있다. 본 연구는 미래과학자양성 프로그램의 일환으로 경북 영 주 도심지 내에서 말벌 트랩을 활용하여 말벌류의 종구성과 계절발생패턴을 파악 하였다. 말벌속 곤충으로 총 7종이 나타났다. 그 중 말벌의 개체수가 가장 많았고, 꼬마장수말벌과 좀말벌 순으로 나타났다. 숲속 서식 특성을 보이는 장수말벌은 전 체 채집 개체의 5.8%로 낮게 나타났다. 또한 최근 외래침입종인 등검은말벌(Vespa velutina nigrothorax)의 경우 침입지점인 부산이나 인근 대구 등 대도시에서 도심 출몰 빈도가 매우 높았으나, 영주 시가지에서는 거의 나타나지 않았다. 또한 털보 말벌, 검정말벌 역시 한두 개체만 채집되었다. 영주 지역에서 말벌류의 출현은 5월 10일 경이었으며, 초기 여왕벌 발생 이후 밀도는 체집 개체는 낮은 수로 유지되었 으나, 본격적인 발육기인 7월 중순 이후 그 채집 개체수가 급증하고 추세이다. 각 조 사 지점의 특성에 따라 발생 종과 그 구성이 다르게 나타는 것으로 파악되었다. 이 정보는 향후 영주시의 공중보건 정책 등에 반영되어 시민참여 모니터링 프로그램 으로 확대 가능성을 보여 주었다.

        The two experiments were done on stationary car at 800rpm, 1500rpm and running car on oscilloscope and chassis dynamometer at the speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h. In this experiment, the relativity between waveform, exhaust emissions and fuel consumption through two experimental methods were measured in case of cars with failures in MAP sensor, O sensor, spark plugs. The following results are obtained by analyzing the data relativity between two experimental methods, such as stationary and running tests. A simple stationary test under the maintenance of a decrepit gasoline vehicle would be realistic possibility to predict the fuel consumption and the exhaust emission comparable to results of running test with a chassis dynamometer.

        The experiment was carried out during no-load condition for analysis of the relativity between MAP, hot film, oxygen, the secondary ignition and injector waveform. The experimental methods using oscilloscope were employed to measure waveform. The relativity between several waveform and the secondary waveform coming from ignition coil were measured in case of three decrepit vehicles. From these results, a summary of the important results are as follows. 1. Through fast acceleration experiments, the response time values of hot film sensor and oxygen sensor was faster than the those of the MAP sensor and oxygen sensor. 2. The values of spark line duration time was largest A, C, B type in the order named. And discharge energy of the secondary ignition waveform was largest A, B, C type 3. The value of effective discharge energy is to be nearly proportional to the spark line duration time. 4. The value of effective discharge energy directly increases as revolutions per minute increase, and the value of spark line duration time decreases as revolutions per minute increase.
