Temperature effects on diapause termination of Paratlanticus ussuriensis eggs were studied by measuring embryonic development and hatching rates at various conditions of indoor chilling and overwintering temperatures. Diapausing eggs of P. ussuriensis did not hatch at continued incubation at 25℃ and even after chilling for once at either 5℃ or 10℃ for 30, 45 and 60 days. In addition, double chillings at 5℃ with a 90 days interval at 25℃ did not induce hatching of diapausing eggs. However, double chillings at 10℃ induced hatching at 3.6~26.7%. When eggs were incubated at 25℃ after chilling for once at 5℃ for various periods, those weights were not changed but those chilled at 10℃ gradually increased to approximately 1.5 times. When 60-days-old eggs were artificially deposited under the soil at three different mountain sites in September 2007, the hatching rates of the first-overwintered eggs were 11.3, 3.5 and 4.1% and those of the second-overwintered eggs were 25.1, 21.6 and 0.4% at Hoepori, Bitanri and Hwasanri, respectively. Most eggs were hatched from mid-March to mid-April but little bit earlier in southern regions. During the hatching period soil temperatures in three tested locations were around 8 to 12℃. In overall, diapausing eggs of P. ussuriensis were greatly influenced by chilling temperature conditions and those repeated cycles, and may required overwintering for one or two times to hatch for the post-embryonic development.

2001년 이전 갈색여치는 주로 산림에 서식하는 것으로 알려져 있었고, 농업 에 별다른 피해를 주지 않았다. 하지만, 지난 2006년과 2007년 영동군을 중심 으로 한 충청북도 일원에서 갈색여치가 대규모로 발생하여 농작물 피해를 입 혔다. 2006년과 2007년 갈색여치를 방제하기 위해 사용된 농약으로 인해 영동 군의 청정이미지가 실추되어 농산물 판매에 어려움이 많았다고 한다. 본 연구 는 친환경적으로 갈색여치를 방제하기 위해 농가에서 쉽게 사용하고 있는 비 닐막 및 끈끈이 트랩의 효과적인 이용 방법에 대해 조사를 하였다. 갈색여치 가 야산에서 과수원으로 서식처를 옮기는 5월 초순 전에 비닐막을 설치하여 1차적으로 갈색여치의 이동을 막을 수 있다. 또, 비닐막 지지대에 끈끈이 트 랩을 반드시 부착하여 지지대를 통해 넘어오는 갈색여치를 2차적으로 차단할 수 있으며, 비닐막을 넘어 과수원으로 이동한 갈색여치는 기어서 나무위로 올 라가는 습성이 있으므로 나무 밑둥지에 끈끈이 트랩을 부착하면 연령에 관계 없이 갈색여치를 방제할 수 있다. 끈끈이 트랩 설치 시 과수나무 전체에 끈끈 이 트랩을 설치하는 것은 노동력, 경제적 측면 및 익충 밀도 유지를 고려하면 바람직하지 못한 것으로 조사되었다.

질감, 모양, 색채 등 내용기반 영상검색(CBIR)의 기능을 이용하여 한국의 지리산 국립공원과 영국의 케이른고럼스 국립공원의 자연 경관에 있어서의 차이를 판별하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 먼저 각 국립공원의 자연경관을 디지털 사진영상으로 촬영한 후, 전형적인 경관사진을 선별하였다. 사진영상의 저단계 기능(Low-level function)이 계량화되어 수직적으로 회전된 다섯 개의 요인으로 축약되었다. 이 중 유의한 차이를 보이지 않은 물 관련 요인이 제외된 나머지 네 개의 요인에 근거한 판별선이 케이른고럼스 경관과 지리산 경관 사이에서 도출되어, 판별함수가 두 그룹을 유의하게 분할하였다(2(4)=61.433; p〈0.001). 고유치 2.417과 월크스 람다 0.293에 의하여 전체 변이가 두 그룹의 판별함수 평균의 차이에서 대부분 산출되었음을 확인하였다. 또한, 네 개의 독립변수가 종속변수 전체 분산의 70.7%를 설명하는 것으로 추정되었다. 경관에 대하여 가장 큰 효과를 나타내는 변수는 원거리관련 변수(r=1.073)이며, 다음으로 근거리관련 변수(r=0.896)였으며, 전체적으로 90.7%가 타당하게 분류되었다. 이는 케이른고럼스 국립공원과 지리산 국립공원 자연경관 사이에서 사진영상의 근거리 요인뿐만 아니라, 원거리 요인이 보다 경관 차이에 유의한 판별력을 보이는 것으로 해석되므로, 국립공원의 경관정체성과 관련한 원거리 스카이라인의 시각적 중요성을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.

The study focuses on analyzing the situation how 1) to precede a sentence, 2) to structure the dialogue, and 3) to acquire conversation frame by the learners. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to examine whether common discourse errors exist on the way of structuring the dialogue and if they exist, the tendency of errors comes from universality and individuality. The result of this study is to show the tendency of errors in order; connection investigations, surplus, style, tense, the point of view, defect, conjunction, direction, and sequence. Through this study, it is proved that essential language factors mentioned in the discourse structure are required on developing writing skills. Particularly, More than half of learners shows the common errors in the connection investigations, ellipsis, tense, style, conjunction, the point of view, addition. As a result, those language factors should be set up as essential language factors to be trained.

The main habitats of diving beetles in agricultural ecosystems were identified as ponds, irrigation channels, and reservoirs, where the water system is maintained throughout the year. Four species, Cybister japonicus, Cybister brevis, Hyphydrus japonicus and Noterus angustulus, were selected as biological indicators which can be used to evaluate the healthiness of the agricultural ecosystem. The species number of 4 indicator species, the species number of diving beetle species, and the diversity index were used as factors for environmental evaluation. The evaluation was classified into grades Ⅰ~Ⅳ. The non-fertilizer and non-pesticide agricultural practicing area and the sustainable agricultural practicing area were evaluated as grades Ⅰ~Ⅱ, and the general agricultural area to be relatively fine with a grade Ⅱ. However, the analysis indicated the agricultural areas near a residential area and an industrial complex to be poor with a grade of Ⅳ, suggesting that immediate improvement in the agricultural environment is needed.
