        In this paper, the cause of mortar baseplate breakage was analyzed by diving into cross-section, material, process, and design aspects. As a result of observing the fracture surface and non-fracture suface using optical equipment, it was possible to confirm changes in the shape of disconnected line and metal surface at a specific area. In addition, a number of linear defects due to overlap were found. Flow analysis was performed using the Deform program to verify changes during the production process. According to the result, a drop test was performed on each of the lap detection baseplate, undetection baseplate, and removed product to verify the presumptive cause of the rupture of the poplite.

        태풍 내습 시 신속하고 정확한 해일고 예측은, 연안재해 대응에 필수적인 요소이다. 이러한 해일고의 예측을 위해서 기존에는 태풍예측정보를 수치모델에 적용하여 예측자료를 생산하는 것이 대부분이였다. 이러한 방법은 대용량의 컴퓨팅 자원과 시간이 소요된다는 단점이 있다. 최근에는 인공지능 기반으로 신속하게 예측자료를 생산하는 연구가 다양한 분야에서 진행되고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 인공지능 기반 해일고 예측을 수행하였다. 인공지능 적용을 위해서는 많은 수의 학습자료가 필요하게 되며, 기왕 발생태풍은 개수가 한정되어 있어 본 연구에서는 TCRM(Tropical Cyclone Risk Model)을 통하여 합성태풍을 생성하고, 이를 폭풍해일 모델에 적용하여 해일고 자료를 생성한 후, 학습자료로 활용하였다. 인공지능으로 예측한 해일고와 실제 발생 태풍에 대한 비교 결과, RMSE(Root Mean Square Error)는 0.09 ~ 0.30 m, CC(Correlation Coefficient)는 0.65 ~ 0.94, 최대 해일고의 ARE(Absolute Relative Error)는 1.0 ~ 52.5 %로 분석되었다. 특정 태풍/지점에 서는 다소 오차가 크게 나타나고 있으나, 향후 학습자료의 최적화 등을 통하여 정확도를 개선할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality characteristics of white pan bread added with wheat sprout powder without treatment (WP) and wheat sprout powder with only enzyme treatment (WPE), only lactic acid bacteria treatment (WPL) and enzyme and lactic acid bacteria treatment (WPE&L). The three different powder concentration levels of 1%, 3%, and 5% were added to flour to produce the white pan bread. The bread volume and specific volume of the WPE&L group were the highest among all the addition groups. The bread weight, a-value, and b-value of the WP group was highest among all the addition groups, but the bread baking loss and the L-value of the WP group was the lowest among all the addition groups. The texture measurements indicated that the hardness, gumminess, and chewiness values of the bread were the highest in the WP group. The sensory evaluation test showed that bread in the WPE&L group with 3% wheat sprout powder was the best among all the samples studied. Based on our findings, we suggest that the enzyme and lactic acid bacteria pretreated wheat sprout powder is an effective ingredient for improving the overall quality of white pan bread.

        Numerous chemical modifications on activated carbon such as acidic conditioning, thermal treatment and metal impregnation have been investigated to enhance adsorption capacities of micropollutants in water treatment plants. In this study, chemical modification including acidic, alkaline treatment, and iron-impregnation was evaluated for adsorption of 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP). For Fe-impregnation, three concentrations of ferric chloride solutions, i.e., 0.2 M, 0.4 M, and 0.8 M, were used and ion-exchange (MIX) of iron and subsequent thermal treatment (MTH) were also applied. Surface properties of the modified carbons were analyzed by active surface area, pore volume, three-dimensional images, and chemical characteristics. The acidic and alkaline treatment changed the pore structures but yielded little improvement of adsorption capacities. As Fe concentrations were increased during impregnation, the active adsorption areas were decreased and the compositional ratios of Fe were increased. Adsorption capacities of modified ACs were evaluated using Langmuir isotherm. The MIX modification was not efficient to enhance 2,4-DCP adsorption and the MES treatment showed increases in adsorption capacities of 2,4-DCP, compared to the original activated carbon. These results implied a possibility of chemical impregnation modification for improvement of adsorption of 2,4-DCP, if a proper modification procedure is sought.

        The battle vehicle has six types of indicators attached to the instrument panel in consideration of the special battlefield environment. However, many problems of moisture occurred during the operation of combat vehicles. These moisture phenomena can adversely affect aesthetics and functionality. Moisture is generated on the instrument panel due to the inflow of external moist air, the desorption of the moist air inside the parts, and the fluctuation of the dew point temperature. In this paper, we try to derive the root cause of various moisture generation and provide an improvement measures for moisture control. Therefore, the failure mechanism of the instrument panel may be analyzed and the design may be changed depending on the failure factor. Furthermore, the effect of the design change is verified, and the humidity performance is evaluated.

        The premature failure of the universal joint connecting the drive gear box and the cooling fan caused a deterioration in serviceability and operability. Universal joint is a device that transmits engine power to a cooling fan. Internal pin breakage and shaft separation can cause secondary damage such as cooling fan malfunction and radiator damage caused by component failure. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the damage phenomenon of universal joints caused by bundles in SPVs and to improve them. In order to verify the improvement, a single part test and a system conformance test were conducted, and durability test was conducted to confirm the improvement effect on the improved prototype. Through these, the effects of increasing the durability of the improved product were estimated.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physicochemical components and antioxidant activities of wheat sprout powder prepared by the enzymatic hydrolysis and lactic acid bacteria treatment. The four kinds of pre-treatment were: no treatment (WP), treated with enzyme (WPE), treated with lactic acid bacteria (WPL), and treated with enzyme and lactic acid bacteria (WPEL) were applied to the wheat sprout powder. The WPEL had higher total free amino acid and essential amino acid content than the other samples. As for the volatile aroma of the wheat sprout powder, 29 types of compounds were identified in the WP and WPL, 28 types in the WPE, and 27 types in the WPEL, respectively. The total polyphenols and flavonoids contents, in the wheat sprout powder was enhanced with the enzyme and the lactic acid bacteria pre-treatment. The WPEL had highest DPPH radical scavenging activities. The overall acceptability was the highest at 6.24 points in the WPEL. Based on these observations, it was confirmed that the enzyme and lactic acid bacteria pre-treatment could improve the antioxidant activities and active component of the wheat sprout powder.

        축산 폐수는 고농도의 영양염류와 중금속을 함유하고 있어, 배출될 때 수질을 악화시킨다. 기존 처리 기술과 비교하여 bioremediation은 축산 폐수 처리에 유능하다. 특히, 미세조류는 오염물질 제거에 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Ankistrodesmus bibraianus를 이용하여 축산 폐수 내 영양염류 (질소 (N), 인 (P))와 중금속 (구리 (Cu), 아연 (Zn))의 제거 가능성을 평가하고, A. bibraianus의 최적배양조건을 확립하였다. 연구결과, 최적 배양조건은 28°C, pH 7, 광주기는 14 : 10 h로 설정되었다. N과 P의 단일 처리구 (500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 mg L-1)에서 제거효율은 각각 22.9~80.6%와 11.9~50.0%였다. 또한, N과 P의 복합 처리구에서 제거효율은 각각 16.4~58.3%와 7.80~49.8%였다. Cu와 Zn의 단일 처리구 (10, 30, 50 mg L-1)에서 제거효율은 각각 15.5~81.5%와 6.28~34.3%였다. 유사하게, Cu와 Zn의 복합 처리구에서 제거효율은 각각 16.7~74.5%와 5.58~27.5%였다. 또한 영양염류 (N 및 P)와 중금속 (Cu 및 Zn)의 성장 및 제거효율을 축산 폐수에 적용할 수 있음을 나타냈다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면 A. bibraianus는 축산 폐수 내 영양염류와 중금속 제거에 이용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        Salmonella are widespread in humans and animals worldwide and are public health concern as causative pathogens of food poisoning. The aim of this study was to survey the level of Salmonella contamination in a chicken slaughter plant and to analyze the characterization of Salmonella isolates by serotype, antimicrobial resistance and phage type. Among 170 feces of transport box from 17 farms and 100 carcasses originated 20 farms, Salmonella were identified in 54 feces (13 farms) and 29 carcasses (11 farms). A total of 150 Salmonella isolates from feces and 73 isolates from carcasses were analyzed. One hundred and forty five isolates (96.7%) from feces and 68 isolates (93.2%) from carcasses were Salmonella enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) and 3 isolates and 2 isolates from feces were S. isangi and S. blockley, respectively. Three isolates from carcasses were S. blockley, and S. isangi was not detected at carcasses. The most common phage type (PT) of S. Enteritidis was PT 1, followed by PT 1c, PT 21, PT 24var, PT 6a, and PT 7. Antimicrobial resistance testing was performed by disk diffusion method using 19 antibiotics. The highest percentage of antimicrobial resistance of isolates from feces and carcasses were found to the following antibiotics: trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (Sxt, 83.3% and 93.2%), tetracycline (Te, 40.0% and 15.1%) and ampicillin (Am, 16.0% and 20.5%). Also, the most frequent multiresistance pattern of isolates from feces and carcasses were Te-Sxt (34.0%) and Am-Sxt (19.2%), respectively.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of phosphorus acid (H3PO3) addition to the horticultural bed soil on the initial growth of red pepper (Capsicum annuum L. cv.), cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv.), and kimchi cabbage (Brassica campestris L. ssp. pekinensis (Lour.) Rupr. cv.). The stem heights of red pepper and cucumber were 46.1% and 23.0% greater in the 50 mg/L of phosphorus acid treatment than the untreated (control). Further, the stem diameter of pepper and cucumber were 48.7% and 23.0% greater in the 50 mg/L of phosphorus acid treatment than the control. In addition, the number of kimchi cabbage leaves was 47.5% greater in the 50 mg/L of phosphorus acid treatment than the control. The dry weights of red pepper, cucumber and kimchi cabbage were 72.9%, 16.5%, and 30.4% heavier in the 50 mg/L than the control, respectively. Cations (K, Ca, and Mg) and total phosphorus (T - P) were quantitatively analyzed for these three horticultural crops. The concentrations of K, Ca, and Mg, and T - P were higher in the 50 mg/L of phosphorus acid than the control, respectively. Based on the results obtained in this study, it appears that treatment of phosphorus acid in horticultural bed soil enhanced the growth of red pepper, cucumber and Kimchi cabbage.
