A 13-year-old, male mixed breed dog was presented to Veterinary Medical Center, Chungbuk National University for diagnosis and treatment of enlarged mass in right inguinal region. On hematological test, monocytes and neutrophils were slight increased, but other hematological values were normal. On radiological finding, opacity and size of mass in right inguinal region were increased. The mass and testis were removed surgically. Removed mass was oval-shpae and bulky with 5.6×7.6×5.2 cm. Histopathological finding of the mass revealed large and round to polyhedral cells and it was diagnosed as malignant seminoma. That was diffuse type seminoma near to malignant tumor without metastasis. During the follow-up for 13 months, patient showed normal contition without recurrence.

섬 크기와 육지로부터의 거리가 상이하면서 해안사구가 잘 발달된 서해 중부의 3개 도서(옹진군 덕적도와 굴업도, 보령군 원산도)를 선정하여 사구성 곤충의 다양성을 측정하였고, 도서간의 종다양성 차이를 비교하였다. 조사는 2007년 봄과 여름에 걸쳐 1차와 2차 사구를 조사 대상으로 하였다. 3개 도서의 사구 서식곤충은 총 12목 43과 78종으로 조사되었고, 진정한 사구성 곤충은 4목 15과 26종으로 확인되었다. 채집종의 분류 결과, 진사구성으로 거저리과의 Phaleria atriceps (Lewis)가 한국 미기록종 임이 밝혀졌다. 지역적으로 보면, 사구 서식곤충(진사구성 곤충)은 덕적도에서는 9목 21과 34종(3목 10과 13종), 굴업도 7목 19과 28종(4목 12과 15종), 그리고 원산도 12목 37과 60종(3목 14과 23종)으로 나타났다. 3개 도서의 지리적 여건(면적, 해안선길이, 육지로부터 거리)과 사구 서식곤충의 출현 종수를 비교해 본 결과, 육지로부터의 거리(원산도 11km>덕적도 75km>굴업도 90km)가 사구서식 곤충 종의 출현종수(원산도 59종>덕적도 34종>굴업도 28종)와 연관성이 가장 높은 것으로 판명되었다.

식물검역이란 식물에 해를 끼치는 병해충의 국가간 · 지역간 이동을 차단함으로서 자연 환경과 농림업 생산 환경을 보호하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국립식물검역소에는 전국 공항만을 중심으로 499명의 직원이 근무하고 있다. 수출입 식물류에 대한 국경겸역, 국가간 식물검역 국제협력, 격리재배검사, 외래병해충 발생조사, 소독 및 방제 동의 업무를 수행하여 식물병해충 유입에 따른 피해를 적극 차단하고 있다. 한편 세계 자유화의 큰 흐름에 따라 농산물의 국가 간 교역이 활발해 지면서 우리나라의 검역수요가 매년 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 국립식물검역소에서는 2003년 인터넷 민원처리 시스템을 시작으로 빠르면서도 정확한 식물검역을 수행할 수 있는 식물검역처리시스렘을 구축해 나갔다. 이러한 노력의 결과로 수출입 식물검역 전 과정이 시스템화 되어 언제 어디서든 검사 신청과 결과조회가 가능해졌으며 검사현장에서 실시간으로 처리할 수 도 있게 되었다. 현재 식물검역의 99.8%가 인터넷을 통해 이루어지고 있으며, 약 50% 이상의 업무 효율성이 증가된 것으로 나타나고 있다. 현재 농산물 시장개방 확대 등 급변하는 여건변화로 인해 새로운 대내 · 외 도전요인이 끊임없이 발생하고 있다. 검역대상 물품 및 수입국의 다양화 · 다변화와 병해충 발견빈도 증가 등 해외 병해충의 국내유입 위험성 한충 고조되고 있으며, 식품안전에 대한 국민의 욕구 증대로 수입농산물에 대한 검역문제가 사회적 주요 관심사로 계속 부각되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 국립식물검역소에서는 현행 식물검역 전반에 대한 체계적인 점검과 분석 · 평가를 통하여 국민의 기대수준에 부응하고 미래를 대비하는 단기 · 중장기적 관점의 식물검역정책을 개발 · 제시하는 식물검역발전 10개년 계획을 마련하여 시행하고 있다. 국립식물검역소는 앞으로도 식물병해충의 피해로부터 농업과 자연환경 보호를 위해 국제사회와 공동으로 노력해 나갈 것이며, 전 세계에서 가장 모범이 되는 식물검역기관이 될 수 있도록 지속적으로 개선하고 혁신해 나갈 것이다.

개 난자의 체외성숙율을 높이기 위하여 다양한 방법들이 시도되고 있지만 여전히 그 효율성은 낮다. 본 연구는 개 난자의 체외성숙 시, 성선 자극 호르몬인 황체형성호르몬(LH)과 난포자극호르몬(FSH), 상피세포성장인자(Epidermal growth factor, EGF) 그리고 시스테인(cysteine)을 각각 첨가하여 72시간 동안 체외성숙시킨 후 핵성숙율(GV: germinal vesicle, GVBD: germinal vesicle break down, MI: metaphase I, MII: metaphase II, UK: unknown stage)을 확인하였다. LH와 FSH를 첨가하였을 때 첨가하지 않은 군과 GV, MI 및 MII율에는 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 하지만 GVBD율은 첨가군이 유의적으로(p<0.05) 높았다. 성선 자극 호르몬을 첨가한 배지에 10 ng/ml의 EGF를 첨가하였을 때 MII율이 첨가하지 않은 군보다 유의적으로(p<0.05) 높았다(4.54% vs. 7.06%). cysteine을 첨가하였을 경우, 핵성숙율에 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았지만 전반적으로 핵성숙율이 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 개 난자의 체외성숙 시, 10 μg/ml의 LH와 FSH, 10 ng/ml의 EGF 그리고 0.57 mM의 cysteine을 첨가하는 것이 핵성숙율을 향상시키는 것으로 사료된다.

구조물의 거동에 대한 파사드리거의 보강 효과를 검토하고 파사드리거의 최적위치를 추정할 수 있는 수치해석방법이 제시되었다. 구조물 상부의 수평변위를 최소화할 수 있는 파사드리거의 최적위치는 파사드리거의 구속효과에 의한 수평변위 감소량을 극대화함으로서 구할 수 있으며 가새골조와 파사드리거의 휨강성과 전단강성에 의해 크게 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 3가지 형태의 하중, 즉 등분포하중과 삼각분포하중 그리고 구조물 상단에 작용하는 집중하중이 고려되었다. 파사드리거의 최적위치는 무차원 강성변수 의 함수로서 표현되었으며, 1개부터 4개의 파사드리거를 갖는 구조물을 대상으로 최적위치에 대한 도표를 작성하였다. 비록 본 연구에서 제시된 해석방법이 몇 가지의 가정을 기초로 유도되었으나 고층건물의 초기설계단계에서 파사드리거의 최적위치 결정을 위한 비교적 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있다고 사료된다.

2년령의 암컷 비글개에서 교배 후 7일째에 혈액장액성 질 분비물과 외음부 종창의 주증을 보여 이를 진단하기 위해서 질 도말 검사, 초음파 검사를 실시하였다. 초음파 검사 소견상 양측 난소에 10mm 이상의 낭종성 구조물이 다수 관찰되어 양측성 다포성 난소낭종으로 진단하였다. 또한 질 도말 검사에서는 각화 상피세포가 90% 이상이었으며, 수컷의 허용 반응을 확인한 결과 수컷의 허용은 물론 정상적인 교배가 이루어졌다. 이상의 소견을 종합해 본 결과 본 증례

본 연구는20005년 3월부터 약2개월에 걸쳐 후쿠오카 지역에서 짧은 기간에 발생한 12개의 지진으로부터 관측된 154개의 지반진동 자료를 이용하여 지진원 및 지진파 감쇠와 관련된 값들을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 구하고자 하는 모든 값을 동시에 비선형적으로 분석하기 위해 LM(Levenberg-Marquardt) 역산방법을 적용하였고 전단파 에너지를 이용하였다. 분석결과 12개 지진의 응력강하값의 평균은 약 79.2-bar이고 부지 하부 지진파 감쇠값 \kappa의 평균값은 0.043으로 분석되었다. 또한 광역적인 지진파 감쇠를 나타내는 Qo 와 {\eta}값은 각각 248.1 및 0.558로 분석되었다. Qo 과 {\eta}값은 지진파의 경로중 일부가 동해를 거치기 한반도 남동부의 지진파 전파의 특성뿐만 아니라 일본과 한반도 사이의 지체구조의 차이로 인한 불균질 특성도 포함하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 특히 관측소부지 하부의 지진파 감쇠값 K의 평균값은 미국 동부지역 대표값 보다 훨씬 크고 미국 서부지역 대표값보다 거의 유사한 값을 보여 주었으며 각각 관측소 부지 고유의 증폭에 대한 정확한 정보가 있으면 보다 의미있는 결과를 얻을 수 있다고 판단된다.

In Korea, nation and nationalism are undeniable justice, absolute virtue andmoreover system of desire. From the late Chosun Dynasty when the Korean Peninsula hadto survive from the critical situation of being the arena of competition, and through thecolonial period under Japanese imperialism, nationalism became stronger as a logic ofsurvival. The policy of seclusion under closed and exclusive nationalism that didn’trecognize the world situation well enough, eventually gave more pain to the nation.Nationalism in colonial Korea which was as reformed nationalism and on the other hand,as intransigent, resisting nationalism. Since the purpose of this writing is not for clarifyingthe argument raised on Korean nationalism, there is no use mentioning how it went withthe change of time. But we have to focus on the fact that the word‘nation’whichappeared under the influence of popular revolution and capitalism meaning‘a group ofpeople’, was translated and understood as a racial concept for strengthening the unity of‘single-race nation with five thousand years’history. First of all, there is nationalism used to fortify the system. ‘The Charter of NationalEducation’and‘The Pledge of Allegiance’were ornaments to intensify the ruling ideologyand dictatorship to militarize entire South Korea for‘settling Korean democracy’professednationalism. Also, another ruling ideology armed with‘self-reliance’put North Korea intothe state of hypnosis called nationalism. Nationalism, claiming‘nation’outwardly, but inreality, being an illuminating, instructing ideology isolating each other was indeed a bodywith two faces. This discussion of nationalism as a resistance ideology was activein 1980s. In 1980, democracy movement against the dictatorship of 5th Republic originatedfrom military power which came out suppressing the democratic movement in Gwangju,spread out from the intellects and the students to the labors, farmers and the civilians. It is well known that the‘Nation-People(Minjoong)’s Art Movement could come out under thissocial condition. Our attitude toward nationalism is still dual in this opening part of 21st century. Onone hand, they are opposing to the ultra-nationalism but are not able to separate it fromnationalism, and on the other, they have much confusion using it. In fact, in a single-racenation like Korea, the situation of being nationalism and jus sanguinis together can causedual nationalism. Though nationalism is included in the globalization order, it is evidence that it’seffective in Korea where there are still modern fetters like division and separation. Inparticular, in the world where Japan makes East Asia Coalition but exposed in front ofnationalism, and China not being free from Sinocentrism, and American nationalism takingthe world order, and Russia fortifying nationalism suppressing the minority race after thedissolution of socialism, Korean nationalism is at the point to find an alternative plansuperior to the ruling and resisting ideology.

A valve open/close degree measuring device is used for an indicator of a valve actuator. This device indicates an opening and closing of a valve or throttle in a hydraulic actuator. In ship, equipments requires safe and robust because of a rough environment and a specific condition during a voyage. Thus, the open/close degree measuring device must be developed which can be used at an outdoor environment. This study developed the open/close degree measuring device using a volumetric measuring method(25㎖/100㎖). The housing of the open/close degree measuring device was made by a stainless steel with surface painting after an anodizing coating.

The purposes of this study were to measure price elasticities of menu items of a family restaurant, identify differences of price elasticity between subgroups, and provide a comprehensive understanding on price elasticity. 3 menu items of a salad buffet family restaurant in Seoul were selected for analyses, and a questionnaire was developed through literature review and modified after pilot test. The questionnaires for main survey were distributed to 250 customers on their visit to the restaurant, and a total of 139 questionnaires were used for analyses (55.6%). Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS Win (12.0) for descriptive analyses, t-test, ANOVA, and the main results of this study were as follows. The demands were expected very elastic to the changes in prices of all 3 menu items, and there were significant differences between groups of different company types. In addition, the changes in use were less affected by the changes in menu price when customers were satisfied with each menu item. On the basis of these results, it was concluded that price increases of menu items should be companied by quality improvement of products and services, and differentiated marketing strategy for each segments of customers would be helpful to profitability of the restaurant. Overall, measurement of price elasticity could help to predict customer behaviors on price changes, and give much useful information for managers and marketers of foodservice organizations in development of price strategies.
