이 글은 南冥學의 본질과 특색에 대해 재조명한 것이다. 南冥은 16세기 사화 기에 현실정치의 참여를 포기하고 학문에 전념한 인물인데, 25세 때부터 孔子 를 배우고자 하여 顔回의 克己復5를 통해 근본을 확립하는 구도의 길로 들어 섰다. 남명학의 淵源은 남명이 학문을 전환한 뒤 孔子·周敦頤·程Ⅱ·朱熹의 초상 을 그려 봉안해 놓고 참배한 데서 단서를 찾을 수 있는데, 주자의 博文約5의 학문과 程明道의 揚休山立의 氣節과 周濂溪의 光風霽月의 흉금을 추구하고, 나 아가 안회의 克己復5를 통해 공자의 경지에까지 거슬러 올라간다. 남명학의 요체를 敬·義라 하는데, 이는 󰡔주역󰡕 ｢坤卦-文言｣의 ‘敬以直內 義以 方外’에서 나온 것으로, 주자도 학문의 요체로 삼은 것이다. 따라서 경의학의 연 원은 주자를 통해 󰡔주역󰡕으로 거슬러 올라간다. 경의학은 마음을 眞實無妄하게 하는 공부로, 敬은 마음을 고요하고 또렷하게 하여 긴장감과 경건함을 유지하 는 것이고, 義는 마음이 발한 뒤 판단이나 조처를 올바르고 합리적으로 하는 것 이다. 남명학의 본질은 남명이 남긴 3편의 賦와 󰡔學記類編󰡕의 ｢誠圖｣·｢易書學庸語 孟一道圖｣·｢心爲嚴師圖｣·｢幾圖｣ 및 ｢神明舍圖｣를 통해 확인할 수 있다. ｢原泉 賦｣에는 근본을 중시하는 사유가 근저에 깔려 있으며, ｢民巖賦｣는 나라의 근본 을 백성으로 보고 정치의 근본이 임금에게 달려있음을 말한 것이며, ｢軍法行酒 賦｣는 나라의 근본은 禮義라는 점을 역설한 글이다. 또한 ｢誠圖｣와 ｢易書學庸 語孟一道圖｣는 남명학의 본체에 해당하는데, ｢誠圖｣는 眞實無妄의 誠을 목표로 그 공부방법과 실천요령을 적시한 도표이며, ｢易書學庸語孟一道圖｣는 惟精·惟 一의 공부를 통해 誠을 추구하는 것을 형상한 것이다. ｢心爲嚴師圖｣·｢幾圖｣ 및 ｢神明舍圖｣는 남명학의 작용에 해당하는데, ｢心爲嚴師圖｣는 心을 嚴師로 삼아 存養·省察을 나타낸 것이고, ｢幾圖｣는 省察과 克己에 초점을 맞추어 그린 것이 며, ｢神明舍圖｣는 극기복례하여 至善의 경지에 이르는 것을 드러낸 것이다. 남명학의 특색은 ｢神明舍圖｣의 ‘天德’과 ‘王道’에서 단서를 찾을 수 있다. 천 덕은 하늘이 부여한 본성을 얻어 나의 인격을 완성하는 것으로 內聖에 해당하 고, 王道는 그 덕을 현실사회에 펴는 것으로 外王에 해당한다. 천덕을 추구하는 것은 人道를 닦아 天道에 배합하는 誠을 추구하는 것으로, 남명학의 특색은 居 敬行義의 공부를 통해 󰡔中庸󰡕의 大旨인 誠을 추구한 데 있다. 이는 퇴계가 󰡔소 학󰡕·󰡔대학󰡕을 근본으로 한 것과는 다른 시각으로, 󰡔중용󰡕을 所依經傳으로 삼은 것이다.

Background : The natural stable isotope ratio of common bio-elements like carbon (C), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), or sulfur (S) varies with diverse isotope fractionation processes in nature. Therefore, measuring the variation of these stable isotope ratios in ginseng roots can be a feasible tool to discriminate the geographical origins of ginseng in Korea. Methods and Results : The 3-year-old six Korean ginseng cultivars were cultivated at the five regions in Korea, and then used for measuring the stable isotope ratios of C, N, O, and S by isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS). The mean C, N, O, and S stable isotope ratio values in the ginseng roots significantly differed according to the cultivation regions (p < 0.05). However, these isotope ratios in ginseng roots had relatively weak discriminative power against to the ginseng cultivars at each cultivation region. The interaction of the cultivation region and ginseng cultivar type also significantly affected to the C, N, O, and S stable isotope ratio in ginseng roots (p < 0.0001). The two-dimensional plots associated with the N stable isotope ratio can effectively separate the ginseng roots in Jinan compared to those in the other regions. The partial least squares-discriminant analysis showed more significant separation between ginseng geographical origins compared to the principal component analysis. Conclusion : Our findings improve our understanding of how the isotope composition of ginseng roots varies with respect to cultivation regions and cultivars, and suggest that the analysis of the stable isotope ratios combined with chemometrics can be used as a feasible tool to discriminate geographical origin of ginseng in Korea.

Eliot and Valrie’ ashes are interred in the church, with the inscription, “In my end is my beginning.” After three hundreds years Eliot returned to the home of his forefather, Andrew Eliot, who left East Coker for the Massachusetts Bay Colony of America in 1660. Eliot received the Christian sacraments of baptism and confirmation in Holy Trinity Church at Finstock on the 29th and 30th June, 1927 that belongs to the Church of England. He was made a member of the Holy Catholic Church that belongs to Anglo-Catholicism. Eliot has a doubting belief and finally became an Anglo-Catholic who believes in the doctrines such as Incarnation and Holy Trinity that differ from that of Unitarianism inherited from his family. His conversion was the result of a lifetime skepticism and progression accepting confession, pray, and contemplation for practice not a leap of faith. Eliot underwent a kind of gradual dialectic of reasons for his adopting ideological position throughout one’s earthly pilgrimage. At last Eliot found a historic and religious community of an Anglo-Catholic in East Coker to have certain admiration for the religious belief, for the life of prayer and contemplation, and for those who attempt to practise it.

Prevalence of the coronary artery anomaly is approximately 1% of the population who undergo coronary angiography. The anomalous origin of the right coronary artery (RCA) as a branch of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) is a very rare variation of single coronary artery. The anatomic variation has no clinical significance. However, some patterns of congenital coronary artery anomalies can cause clinical manifestations of myocardial ischemia, reducing myocardial perfusion. We report on a case of a 78-year-old man who had anomalous RCA arising from the proximal part of the LAD, which probably caused chest pain.

The objective of this study is to estimate the relative importance of food labelling on organic and country-of-origin of tofu. The relative importance of three Tofu attributes shows that the country-of-origin is the most important and an organic labelling and price are followed in order. The result is that if two attributes, an organic labelling and the country-of-origin are taken into account, organic soybeans produced in Korea gets the highest value and non-organic soybeans produced in Korea, organic soybeans produced in USA, and others are followed in order. For respondents who have children under 6 years or under 18 years, the importance of an organic labelling increased compared to those whose children do not fall into that age. The results of this study show that the country of origin, especially domestically produced products, is more importantly recognized than the organic labeling to consumers.

An augmented state feedback controller for a Wheeled Inverted Pendulum (WIP) is proposed in this research. The augmented state feedback controller is able to keep the WIP returning to the origin. Generally, the WIP has both stable and unstable equilibrium points. To keep the WIP over the unstable equilibrium point, the WIP consistently is being controlled. A simple state feedback controller is letting the WIP out of the origin when the center of gravity of the WIP locates out of the schematic center line. In some case of applications, it may not be desirable that the WIP is drifting out of the initial location. The proposed augmented state feedback controller is able to keep the WIP at the initial location whether its center of gravity lies out of the center line or not. Numerical simulations are carried out to show the validation of the augmented sated feedback controller.

The spatial variability in the food chain structure of an estuary environment (Nanakita estuary, Japan) was investigated using fatty acid. Potential organic matter sources (terrestiral plants, macroalgae, benthic microalgae, dinflagellates and bacteria), sedimentary organic matters and benthic invertebrates (Nuttallia olivacea and Nereidae) were sampled in four locations with different tidal flat type. The main objective of the present study was to determine the origin of sediment and the food sources of N. olivacea and Nereidae along with small-scale spatial variability. The origin of sedimentary organic matters were mainly the fatty acid of bacteria and benthic microalgae. Especially, The organic matter of terrestrial plant origin was found the highest in station C. The diets of N. olivacea and Nereidae were found to be dominated by diatoms and terrestrial plants. Whereas, macroalgae and dinoflagellates showed little influence to benthic invertebrates. Moreover, according to principal component analysis, it is showed that benthic invertebrates in the same region are using the same food without relation with species. On the other hand, the N. olivacea and Nereidae of station D clearly contrasts with station B in terms of main food sources. From these results, it is suggested that food competition of benthic invertebrates revealed high a connection between small-scale spatial variability and food source in estuary.

본 연구에서는 학생들의 생활체육참여 정도관련 변인과 학교폭력 및 학교생활적응의 관계를 규명하는 것이 주된 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상으로는 서울에 속해 있는 인문계 고등학교 남학생 504명을 최종 모집단으로 설정하였고, 생활체육참여 인원은 279명, 비 참여 인원은 225명이였다. 통계적 기법은 요인분석(Factor analysis), 신뢰도 분석((Reliability analysis), 빈도분석(Frequency analysis), 다변량 분산분석(MANOVA), 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA), 상관분석(Correlation), 중다회귀분석(Multiple Regression Analysis)을 사용하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 생활체육참여 유무가 학교폭력행동과 학교생활적응에 있어서 참가집단과 비 참가 집단에 차이가 나타났고, 생활체육참여 정도관련변인과 학교폭력 행동 및 학교생활적응 관계는 여러 참여 정도관련변인들과 부정적 또는 긍정적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 생활체육참여가 비참여자 보다 학교폭력은 부정적 관계가 있고 학교생활적응은 긍정적 관계가 있으며, 생활체육을 간헐적이라도 꾸준하게 지속적으로 참여하는 학생들은 학교생활폭력과 학교생활적응에 있어 직‧간접적으로 부정적 또는 긍정적인 관계를 미치므로 스포츠센터에서의 규칙적인 생활체육참여가 아니라도 학생들에게 시간이 허락하는 범위 내에서는 교내의 점심시간, 방가 후 신체활동, 공휴일, 수업이 없는 2,4주의 토요일 그리고 일요일에 신체활동을 적극적으로 하도록 권고하고 제안한다.

晩醒 朴致馥은 定齋 柳致明과 性齋 許傳, 두 문하에서 수학하여 江右(慶尙右 道) 지역을 대표하는 퇴계학파의 학자의 한 사람이 되었다. 그래서 그는 당시에 유행하기 시작하던 한주학파의 새로운 학설로부터 師門을 보위할 것을 자임하 였다. 한주와 만나 太極動靜의 문제를 토론하고 만성은 바로 그 이듬해인 무인 년에 太極動靜辨을 저술, 한주의 태극설을 반박하였다. 여기서 만성은 태극이 홀로 동정할 수 없고 반드시 음양이 함께 있어야 하니, 음양을 떠나서 태극의 동정을 말해서는 안 된다고 했다. 따라서 氣를 떠나서 理를 말하면 理가 공허하 고 추상적인 것이 될 우려가 있다고 반박했는데 이는 퇴계학파 전통의 心說인 合理氣說의 논리적 근거가 되는 것이다. 만성의 명덕설은 스승 정재의 설을 그대로 이어받아 한주의 설을 반박한 것이 다. 만성의 명덕설에서 중요한 특징은 氣의 역할을 매우 강조하고, ‘맑고 밝은 것도 명덕이요 맑혀서 다시 밝게 하는 것도 명덕’이라 하여 明明德까지 명덕의 개념 속에 포함시킨다는 점이다. 이는 만성만의 매우 특이한 것이라 아니 할 수 없으며, 工夫論의 차원에서 나온 견해로 이해된다. 태극설, 명덕설을 이어서 心說에서도 만성은 理와 氣의 불가분의 관계를 강조 하였으며, 특히 氣의 역할을 매우 강조하였는데 이는 역시 理만으로 심을 정의한 한주의 心卽理를 논박하기 위한 것이다. 만성의 心說 전반을 관통하는 심의 主槪念은 시종 合理氣일 뿐이다. 즉 합리기를 근간으로 삼은 위에서 경우에 따 라 즉기·즉리를 말할 수는 있지만 심의 개념 자체를 달리 정의할 수 없다고 생 각했던 것이다.

도심에 위치한 탄산염암 석조문화재는 주로 대기 오염으로 인하여 흑색층이 형성되어 있으며 심하게 손상되어 있는 상태이다. XRF, XRD, SEM 등의 분석을 통하여 도심에 위치한 석탑 표면에 형성된 흑색층의 화학조성, 구성광물, 미세조직에 대해 연구하였다. 또한 흑색층이 원암에 끼치는 영향을 밝히고, 나아가 안정환동위원소분석법을 적용하여 흑색층 내에 함유되어 있는 황성분의 기원을 밝혔다. 석탑 원암의 구성광물은 방해석이지만 흑색층은 석고와 소량의 석영을 포함하고 있다. 흑색층을 구성하는 다량의 석고는 석탑 내부에 균열을 생성시키는 원인 물질이며, 흑색층과 원암의 경계면은 흑색을 띠는 것은 아니지만 그 특성이 흑색층과 유사하여 대기오염 물질을 쉽게 흡착하여 흑화될수 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 안정황동위원소분석 결과 흑색층에 함유되어 있는 황의 주 기원이 다를 수 있음이 밝혀졌다.

이 글은 조위의 학문연원과 시세계 가운데 특히 조위가 김종직 문하에서 차지 하고 있던 위치와 무오사화를 전후로 하여 달라지는 시세계의 두 국면을 중심 으로 논의를 전개하였다. 조위의 이복누이가 김종직에게 시집을 감으로써 조위는 김종직과 처남ㆍ자형 의 지친이 되었고, 이것을 인연으로 김종직의 제자가 되어 도학을 강론하였으 며, 김종직이 죽은 뒤에 그의 처남이며 문집을 수찬하였다는 이유로 갑자사화 때에는 김종직과 마찬가지로 천양지화를 당하였다. 당시에 수많은 제자를 길렀던 김종직 문하에는 여러 부류의 사람들이 있었는 데, 조위는 여러 부류의 제자들 가운데에서도 문학으로 이름이 났고, 결국 문학 으로 입신하여 성종의 지우를 받아 ｢호당기｣를 짓고, 󰡔두시언해󰡕를 편찬하고 그 서문을 쓰는 일을 맡게 되었다. 그런데 성종 사후 연산군이 즉위한 뒤 유자광 등이 무오사화를 일으켜서 승승 장구하던 그의 벼슬길이 급전직하하여 귀양길로 이어지는 시기를 당해서는 글 에 대한 그의 생각과 철학이 바뀌었다. 그는 무오사화 이전에는 김종직의 문학에서 다진 도학을 바탕으로 문학으로 발양하였고, 이 시기의 그의 시는 벼슬살이 가운데의 한가함을 노래한 것이 주 조를 이루었다. 그러나 무오사화를 지나면서는 실의에 빠지고 문학에 대한 관심이 도학으로 회귀하였음을 볼 수 있다. 이 시기의 그의 시는 귀양살이 속에서의 한가함을 노 래하는 가운데 고향으로 돌아가고자 하는 마음을 노래한 것이 많다.

원예식물 530종류를 과수(36종류), 채소(55종류), 초본화훼(227종류), 목본화훼(98종류), 관엽식물(114종류)로 구분한 후 이름의 유래와 음절수에 대해 조사하였다. 이름의 유래를 어종에 따라 구분한 결과 채소, 초본화훼, 목본화훼는 한국이름에서 유래된 비율이 각각 51.7%, 43.4%, 60.0%로 가장 높았다. 반면에 과수는 중국이름에서 유래된 비율이 46.5%로 가장 높았다. 관엽식물은 한국명의 경우 학명이나 속명에서 유래된 비율이 29.3%, 17.1%로 높았으나 일본어 이름은 일본어에서 유래된 비율이 53.1%로 가장 높았다. 원예식물 이름의 유래를 의미에 따라 구분한 결과 유래원은 과수의 경우 원산지 (43.3%)와 언어명(29.7%)에서 유래된 비율이 높았으며, 채소는 언어명(32.7%)과 형태(16.3%)에서 유래된 비율이 높았다. 초본화훼는 형태(38.3%)와 생육특성(12.3%)에서, 목본화훼는 형태(38.3%)와 색깔(21.1%)에서 유래된 비율이 높았다. 관엽식물은 형태(46.7%)와 언어명(26.7%)에서 유래된 비율이 높았다. 원예식물 이름의 음절수는 과수와 채소는 1-2음절이 각각 71.4%, 68.9%로 비율이 높았다. 반면에 초본화훼와 목본화훼는 3-4음절이 각각 57.5%, 65.7%로 높았으며, 관엽식물은 44.3%가 5음절 이상이었다. 음절수와 어종의 관계를 조사한 결과 한국어, 중국어, 일본어 이름에서 유래된 이름은 음절수가 4개 이내가 90% 이상이었으나 학명에서 유래된 이름은 음절수 5개 이상인 것이 70%이상 되었다.

The essential oils were isolated by hydrodistillation and their composition determined capillary GC method with standards. The essential oil content showed significant differences between the two populations on the vegetative organs. The essential oil level of the leaves and roots was considerably higher in the Korean population at full flowering and waxy ripening stage but essential oil content of the roots was significantly higher in the Hungarian taxon at leaf rosette stage. We observed the essential oil accumulation tendency was mianly dependent on plant organs and intra-specific taxon during the vegeation period. Butylidene-phthalide was proved to be the main component of the oil in both population roots (50.9-73.3%), while dimethyl-acetate was showed as a major compound on the over-ground parts (56.7-62.0%). The qualitative composition of the essential oil in the reproductive organs concerning the identified compounds was the same as the vegetative parts with the main component α-phellandrene (4.8-28.1%) and butylidene-phtalide (9.7-16.1%), The quantitative composition showed some changes during the ontogenesis phases. Most characteristic ones are the decreasing proportion of dimethyl-acetate (from 7.3% to 1.1%) and the appearance of α-pinene (from 0.5% to 1.5%) only after fruit setting in both population.
