        This study was performed by questionnaire to investigate current use of native local foods of adults in Gyeongju classified by age. The subjects were consisted of 421 citizens(217 males and 204 females) living in Gyeongju. The findings are summarized as follows: 'Institute' scored high as 30.6% in the main responsible body for the succession of local foods. The most emphasized points to popularize the local foods was to 'taste'(36.4%). a point to be considered to develop tourism product of the local foods was to 'development of recipes acceptable to the people of today'(24.6%). The recognition rate score of native local foods of Gyeonngju area was 'Hwangnamppang', 'Hanjeongsik', 'Ssambap', 'Haejangguk', 'Hoe(Gampo)', 'Memilmukmuchim', 'Gyodongbeopju', and 'Yugoa' in the order. On the other hand, the recognition rate score for 'Ssukgulrei', 'Borisudan', 'Dalraikkakdugi', 'Hwanggeumju', 'Baesuk', 'Gyeojachae', 'Gungjungjeongol' was very low. The preferred and intake native local foods of Gyeongju area was 'Hanjeongsik', 'Ssambap', 'Hoe(Gampo)', 'Haejangguk', 'memilmukmuchim' in that other. On the other hand, the preference for 'Ssukgulrei' 'Borisudan', 'Hwanggeumju', 'Baesuk' and 'Dalraikkakdugi' was very low.

        목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 정신지체인의 악력, 들어올림, 운반에 대한 기준값을 제시하고, 악력과 들어올림, 운반의 상관관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 정신지체로 장애 등록되어 있는 남녀 총 55명을 대상으로 8개월간 BTE사의 테스트(Transportable Evaluation Systems Technology: TEST)를 사용하여 악력, 들어올림, 운반을 평가하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 13.0으로 분석 처리하였다. 결과 : 연구결과는 다음과 같다; 첫째, 악력과 들어올림, 운반은 동일 연령 대에서 정신지체인 남자와 여자의 두 집단 간에는 모두 남자가 여자보다 높았고, 통계적으로 유의하게 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 남자와 여자의 두 집단 내에서 연령별 악력과 들어올림, 운반은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 둘째, 정신지체인 남자 집단 내에서 왼손과 오른손의 악력은 들어올림과 상관관계가 있었고(각각 r=0.38, r=0.43), 들어올림은 운반과 상관관계가 있었다(r=0.38). 셋째, 정신지체인 여자 집단 내에서 왼손과 오른손 악력은 들어올림과 상관관계가 있었다(각각 r=0.49, r=0.57). 들어올림은 운반과 상관관계가 있었다(r=0.66). 결론 : 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 정신지체인의 육체적 능력을 정확히 평가하고, 적합한 직무에 배치될 수 있도록 직업재활서비스가 제공되어야 할 것이다.

        This study was conducted to examine the correlation among meals variety, obesity index, blood pressure, and lipid profiles of Korean adults. A total of 308 adults(men 124, women 184) measured the anthropometric characteristics, blood pressure, dietary intake using 24-hour recall method, and serum lipid profile. The average ages of the study subjects were 50.9 yrs in men and 51.4 yrs in women. The average height, weight and BMI were 166.3 cm, 68.4 kg, 24.7 kg/cm2 in men and 154.3 cm, 59.8 kg, 25.0 kg/cm2 in women, respectively. The numbers of food items in meal of men and women were 14.1, 15.9 for breakfast, 15.7, 15.9 for lunch, 14.7, 14.1 for dinner, respectively. The numbers of dish items in meal of men and women were 4.0, 4.3 for breakfast, 4.3, 4.3 for lunch, 4.2, 3.9 for dinner, respectively. The average blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and atherogenic index were 126.6/76.0 mmHg, 181.0 mg/dL, 157.7 mg/dL, 40.9 mg/dL, 108.6 mg/dL, 3.5 in men and 123.2/73.6 mmHg, 185.0 mg/dL, 137.3 mg/dL, 44.8 mg/dL, 112.7 mg/dL, 3.2 in women, respectively. The total cholesterol was negatively correlated to the number of food item for lunch(p〈0.05). Therefore, more systematic studies to investigate the meal variety roles of blood lipids in meals of adults were required.

        복숭아혹진딧물(Myzus persicae )의 성충 발육과 산자수를 , 상대습도 60-70%, 광주기 16L:8D 조건에서 조사하고 생명표를 작성하였다. 복숭아혹진딧물 성충은 까지 수명이 일로 온도의 상승에 따라 성충기간이 짧아졌으며, 산자수는 에서 40.8마리로 최고치를 보였으나 까지 산자수 차이에 유의성이 인정되지 않았다. 다만 에서는 8.4마리로 고온에 영향을 받은 것으로 보인다. 또한 복숭아혹진딧물 성충의 일일 산자수는 에서 5.1마리였고, 와 에서는 모두 2.8마리로 온도가 높거나 낮아지면서 일일산자수가 적어졌다. 온도별 총 산자수를 이용하여 작성한 산자 모형을 보면 에서 51.0마리로 최고값을 보인다. 또한 약충 발육시 사망률과 성충 수명, 산자수를 이용하여 생명표를 작성하였는데 복숭아혹진딧물은 Ro가 에서 36.5, 은 0.4, Dt는 1.6, 기간증가율은 1.5, 세대기간은 8.1로 가 복숭아혹진딧물 증가에 가장 적합한 온도로 나타났다.

        The purpose of this study was to produce the regression equation from non-exercise of healthy young adults and to develop a maximal oxygen consumption () regression model. This model was based on heart rate non-exercise predictor variables (rest heart rate, maximal heart rate/rest heart rate), as an extra addition to the general regression which can reflect an individual's inherent or acquired cardiorespiratory fitness. The subjects were 101 healthy young adults aged 19 to 35 years. Exercise testing was measured by using a Balke protocol for treadmill and indirect calorimetry. The prediction equation was analyzed by using stepwise multiple regression procedures. The mean of was (meanSD). The greatest variable correlated to was %fat. The predictor variable used in the non-exercise included %fat, gender, habitual physical activity and . The non-exercise estimation was as follows: ()=55.58-.41(%fat)+.59(physical activity rating)-2.69()-5.36 (male=0, female=1); (R=.85, SEE=3.64, R2=.72: including heart rate variable); ()=48.47-.41(%fat)+.45(physical activity rating)-5.12 (male=0, female=1); (R=.84, SEE=3.74, R2=.70: with the exception of heart rate variable). As an added heart rate variable, there was only a 2% coefficient of determination improved. Therefore, these results demonstrated that heart rate variable correlation with a non-exercise regression model was very low. In conclusion, for healthy young korean adults, those variables that can affect non-exercise estimation turned out to be only % fat, gender, and physical activity. We suggest that further research of predictor variables for non-exercise is necessary for different patient groups who cannot perform maximal exercise or submaximal exercise.

        목적 : Dynavision을 이용한 성인 남녀의 시각운동 반응 속도를 측정하여 정상인의 표준치를 밝히고, 임상에서 이 도구를 이용한 훈련을 시행할 때 대상자의 성별을 고려하여 적용함을 목표로 실험을 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 대상자는 대학생 62명을 대상으로(남: 31, 여: 31), 나이는 19~27세로, 평균나이는 21.48±2.19세이었다. 국소적인 시각적 주의력과 주변 시각적 주의력 그리고 시지각 전체 영역에서 시각 탐색, 시각반응의 측정 및 훈련하도록 고안된 dynavision의 여러 훈련 프로그램 중 본 연구에서는 self-paced 60초와 240초 프로그램을 사용하였다. 결과 : 남녀 두 그룹간 시각운동 반응 속도에서 유의한 차이를 보였는데, self-paced 60초와 240초 훈련 프로그램 모두에서 남자들이 여자들보다 반응 속도가 빠르게 나타났다(p<0.05). 결론 : Dynavision을 시지각 손상 환자를 평가하고 훈련시킬 때 성별에 따른 정상 수행 속도를 고려하여 적용하여야 할 것이다.

        본 연구는 시설하우스의 주요 해충인 온실가루이와 담배가루이에 대한 spearmint oil의 훈증독성 및 접촉독성을 조사하였으며, gas chromatograph (GC)와 gas chromatograph mass spectrometry(GC/MS)를 이용하여 speamint oil의 주요 구성성분을 분석하였다. 훈증독성 시험 결과, 온실가루이에 대해서 spearmint oil은 air의 약량처리에서 의 살충활성을 나타내었으며, 5와 air의 약량처리에서 각각 와 의 살충활성을 나타내었다. 또한 담배가루이에 대해서 spearmint oil은 air의 약량처리에서 각각 의 살충활성을 나타내었으며, 5와 air의 약량에서도 각각 100, 의 높은 살충활성을 나타내었다. 그러나 온실가루이와 담배가루이 성충에 대한 spearmint oil의 접촉독성은 살충효과가 이하로 낮았다. Spearmint oil을 GC와 GC/MS로 분석한 결과, limonene (), -terpinene(), -cymene(), 3-octanol(), carvone()이 주요 구성성분으로 나타났으며, 주요성분인 carvone 은 air 약량에서 의 높은 훈증독성을 나타내었다.

        Falls are common, costly, and a leading cause of death among older adults. The major predisposing factors of a fall may include age-related deterioration in the dynamic system composed of auditory, somatosensory, vestibular, visual, musculoskeletal, and neuromuscular subsystems. Older adults with a history of frequent falls demonstrated significant reductions in gait velocity, muscle force production, and balance performance. These altered neuromechanical characteristics may be further exaggerated when faced with conflicting multisensory conditions. Despite the important contribution of multisensory function on the sensorimotor system during postural and locomotor tasks, it remains unclear whether multisensory intervention will produce dynamic balance improvement during locomotion in older adults with a history of frequent falls. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to address important factors associated with falls in elderly adults and provide theoretical rationale for a multisensory intervention program model.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation and characteristics between electromyographic (EMG) activities of lower leg muscles and the posturographic assessment of static balance control in normal adults. Twenty-four young, healthy adults(12 males, 12 females) participated in the study. Center of pressure (COP) parameters were obtained using force platform as total path distance, total sway area, X mean frequency and Y mean frequency for 20 seconds in the following conditions: (1) comfortable standing with eyes opened or closed, (2) uncomfortable standing (feet together) with eyes opened or closed, (3) virtual moving surround delivered using Head mount display (HMD) with four different moving patterns. The virtual moving patterns consisted of close-far, superior-inferior tilting (pitch), right-left tilting (roll), and horizontal rotation (yaw) movements. Surface electromyographic activites were recorded on the tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, medial and lateral heads of gastrocnemius muscles under each condition. Correlation between the posturographic measures and EMG activities were evaluated. Total path distance and total sway area of COP were significantly increased during uncomfortable standing. EMG activity of tibialis anterior was significantly more during uncomfortable standing and virtual moving surround stimulation than during comfortable standing. Total path distance and sway area of COP during comfortable standing with closed eyes showed significant positive correlation with the EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle. Total path distances and total sway area of COP during muscle. Total path distances and total sway area of COP during presentation of virtual moving surround also had significant positive correlations with EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle under close-far movement.

        This simulation study investigated the characteristics of normal gait, crouch gait, crouch/equinus gait, crouch gait, crouch/equinus gait. The knee flexion angles were restricted using a specially designed orthosis. This study was carried out in a motion analysis laboratory of the National Rehabilitation Center. Fifteen healthy male subjects were recruited for the study. The purposes of this study were (1) to compare spatiotemporal parameters, kinematics, and kinetic variables in the sagittal plane among the different gait, (2) to investigate the secondary compensatory strategy, and (3) to suggest biomechanical physical therapy treatment methods. The pattern and magnitude observed in each condition were similar to those of normal gait, except the peak knee extension moment of the unrestricted ankle motion-crouch gait. However, the speed of the crouch gait was half that of a normal gait. The ankle joint moment in the crouch/equinus gait showed the double-bump pattern commonly observed in children with spastic cerebral palsy, and there was no significant difference in gait speed as compared with normal gait. The peak ankle plantar-flexor moment and ankle power generated during the terminal stance in the crouch/equinus conditions were reduced as compared with normal and crouch gaits (p<.05). The crouch/equinus gait at the ankle joint was an effective compensatory mechanism. Since ankle plantarflexion contracture can be exacerbated secondary to the ankle compensatory strategy in the crouch/equinus gait, it is necessary to increase the range of ankle dorsiflexion and the strength of plantarflexion simultaneously to decrease the abnormal biomechanical advantages of the ankle joint.
