        The main focus of the current article is to introduce and apply an evaluation model to an rNSET program for non-native speaking English teachers. The rationale behind why an rNSET program evaluation should make use of a synthesized approach to look at diverse variables from a balanced perspective is provided. While using the model as a guideline, this article explores the way quality drivers in an intensive teacher education program are interconnected to affect program quality. What/why/how the case study foreign teacher educator does needs to be examined through teacher trainees' perceptions and reactions, who better know context variables in their own classrooms. It turned out that the trainer's teaching quality was affected a lso by the socio-cultural variables within and beyond his classroom area. [n addition, it was revealed that discrepancies between stakeholders' beliefs and practices could lower the program quality as well. The article illustrates the process of how quality drivers and context variables affect each other to determine program quality and warrants more attention from ELT evaluators.

        The primary purposes of this study are to identify the characteristics of modeling a rater training program and to develop an efficient training model at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For these purposes, this study proposes that a rater training program should be standardized by accomplishing innovative systematic changes that consider multiple aspects. This study utilized a modified version of Lynch’s program evaluation model (1996, 2003) to collect evidence from different sources, including data drawn from the entire evaluation process ranging from needs analysis to a feedback system based on the final product of the evaluation. Mixed methods were proposed for the data analysis. Quantitative data analysis was proposed for analyzing the surveys, and the rating corpus. Qualitative and document analysis were also essential for analyzing relevant training materials and workshop observation as well as exploring the degree of change in the perceptions of the raters. The results of this study provide educational implications for language testing. The salient value of this study is the collaboration with stakeholders in a test administration situation. Raters’ concerns and challenges were clearly identified, shared, and resolved with the practitioners.

        The research discussed in this paper was conducted to evaluate an intensive English teacher training program (IETTP) and to consider implications for in-service English teacher education. Data was gathered from a variety of sources including trainees’ self-evaluation of their teaching and English language proficiency, feedback on sessions of the program, interviews, and documents. The analysis of the gathered data revealed that the trainees perceived their teaching improved. The comparison of the pre- and post-tests of language skills showed that the level of the trainees’ English language significantly improved. The trainees’ feedback on the program and the trainers revealed that they were satisfied with the course components, and with the trainers’ enthusiasm, materials, motivation and demonstrations. It was also found that the program management was process-focused; the evaluation was conducted on a regular basis and the results were fed back into the program. The findings of the program evaluation supported the conclusion that the trainees benefitted from the programs and that the goals of the training program were achieved at a satisfactory level in most areas. The findings provide guidelines for the further development of IETTPs, and implications for policy-making on English teacher education.

        개발도상국을 중심으로 우리나라의 경제개발과 성장의 기반이 되는 인적자원개발과 교육시스템에 대해 지식과 경험의 공유 및 교류에 대한 요구가 점차 증가하고 있다. 우리나라는 교육 분야에서 이러한 요구에 적절히 대응하고 우리 교육 · 문화와 e- 러닝 산업의 해외진출 등의 기회로 활용하기 위해 국제교육협력을 위한 휴먼네트워크를 보완하고 강화할 필요가 있다. 그리고 이러한 요구들을 반영하기 위해 한국과의 교류협력에 영향력을 행사할 수 있는 해외 고위공무원 기업인 등을 대상으로 하는 초청연수 사업이적절한 대안으로서 추진되어 왔다. 그러나 공급자 중심의 사고방식, 민간의 참여부족, 사업성과 측정 미비, 사업추진 주제간 협력 부재 등으로 성과창출이 제한적이었다. 이러한 문제점에 대한 대안을 마련하고자 관련 선행연구를 기초로 본 블랜디드 러닝 기반 문제중심 국제연수과정의 개발과 함께 평가연구를 진행하였다. 평가연구는 크게 반응도 평가, 이해도 평가, 현업적용도 평가로 실시되었다. 그 결과 블랜디드러닝 기반 문제중심 국제연수과정이 교육생들의 이해도 향상은 물론 실제 각자가 가지고 있는 문제해결에 도웅을 주었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 국제연수과정개발에 있어서 고려점과 시사점을 논의하였다.

        The object of this study is to evaluate the Korean traditional food culture education program which was developed in the prior study. In order to evaluate the effect of the program on the students’ knowledge of traditional food culture and their food habit, the program was practiced for 82 students in 4 elementary schools located in Seoul and Kyungki province during 16 weeks from Mar 1, 2005 to July 23, 2005. The pretest and the post-test were performed using an evaluation tool which is composed of evaluation sections for the perception and knowledge of the Korean traditional food culture, Korean children’s food habit and food preference for the Korean traditional food and fast food. The validity of evaluation was proved through the control group in the pretest and the post-test. Descriptive analysis and paired t-test were performed using SPSS/WIN 12.0 Statistic Package in order to compare the results of the pretest with those of the post-test after the education. The perception of the students who took the class for the Korean traditional food was slightly improved (p<0.05) and their knowledge was also increased (p<0.001) after the education while no difference was found in the control group. Moreover, the subjects’ food habit (p<0.001) and their preference of the Korean traditional food (p<.05) were increased respectively but their preference of the Western fast food was decreased(p<.01). These results indicate that the education program evaluated in this study has the effect of altering the subjects’ food habit or food preference as well as of introducing the knowledge of the Korean traditional food culture.

        This study was conducted to develop and evaluate food safety training program for employees in foodservice operations. The developed CD-ROM was consisted of 5 parts: foodbome illness, personal hygiene, food handling in food production steps, HACCP system, and sanitary facilities. It has made slides for all contents, the animation and movie to raise interests and concentrations, and illustrations and pictures to understand. The evaluation checklists were developed 15 questionnaires including understanding(5), information(3), concentration(4), recommendation(2), and the most important factor(1) and measured by Likert 5-point scale. Fifty-four dietitians in Daegu and Gyeongbuk schools, hospitals, and industries foodservice operations responded to the surveys. The results are as follows; The most important part in the CD-ROM was personal hygiene(33.3%). The total mean was 3.95±0.41, 3.91±0.46 on understanding, 3.89±0.50 on information, 3.87±0.55 on concentration and 4.29±0.49 on recommendation. The score was significantly higher in the recommendation part than others. Overall, as the developed CD-ROM has achieved fine score, a study on the effect of education needs to be followed. Moreover, consistent and organized education by developing a variety of sanitation education methods should be conducted.

        Web-based services have fundamentally confidential problems due to characteristics of internet environment such as anonymity. These problems are serious obstacles to grow the web-based services. The security and confidence of web-based services rely on both service provider and users' opinion. But the former has difficulty in trusting the service provider and the latter takes too long time to propagete all users after converging their opinion. Therefore it is necessary to establish the objective and confidential evaluation and certification program for web-based service. In this paper, the internal and external web-based services evaluation and certification programs are compared and analyzed. The critical factors and evaluation methodology for secure and confidential web-based service are identified. Finally, this paper provides the improvement and strategy for web-based services evaluation and certification program.

        본 연구의 목적은 정서의 경험과정 상에서 손상을 보이는 문제집단을 대상으로 하여 감성교육프로그램(EMTP)의 잠재적 적용가능성을 탐색하려는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 12회기에 걸친 감성교육프로그램의 전후에 참가자들의 정서능력을 측정하고 감성교육프로그램의 실시에 따른 효과성을 검증하였다. 반복측정치를 위한 변량분석의 결과는 감성교육프로그램이 정서적 능력, 특히 자기동기화 및 타인의 감정관리 능력에 있어서는 유의한 향상을 이야기함을 확인시켜 주었다. 후속적으로 정서적 능력의 사전검사 점수를 토대로 우수, 문제집단을 선발하여 이들에게 감성교육프로그램이 서로 차별화된 반응을 야기하는지를 관찰하였다. 변량분석 결과, 잠재적 수형 인구와 유사한 특성을 지녔을 것이라 예상되었던 문제집단에게 있어서도 정서능력 우수집단에서 나타났던 긍정적인 프로그램 효과가 동일하게 산출된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 사실들은 감성교육프로그램이 공감능력에 있어 현저한 손상을 안고 있는 수형집단에게도 유용하게 적용될 수 있을 것이란 기대를 갖게 한다. 국내에서는 정신병질자(psychopaths)의 범죄행위에 관련된 연구는 아직 일반화되어 있지 않음은 물론 그 중요성이 충분히 인지되어 있지 않고 있다. 또한 중범죄자 및 상습범죄자들의 재범을 억제할 수 있는 교정치료프로그램개발에 대한 충분한 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 이로 인해 최근 우리사회는 전술한 바와 같이 재범률이 지속적으로 증가하여 심각한 사회문제를 야기하고 있다. 그러므로 형사정책적 노력의 일환으로 재범률의 증가를 감소시키기 위한 중범죄자와 상습범죄자들의 원활한 사회복귀를 돕는 교정치료프로그램개발의 필요성은 우리나라 교정행정의 당면과제가 아닐 수 없다. 그러나 우리와는 달리 범죄학분야에서 선진국가들의 경우, 특히 북미지역에서는 범죄자들의 정신병질적 특성이 매우 중시되어 재범 예측의 가장 중요한 개인 내적인 변수로 다루어지고 있다.

        This study evaluated the community-based rehabilitation services provided by the Wonju Public Health Center from Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2002. Ninety-four persons with disabilities dwelling in the community participated and the surveys were completed in an interview during home visits. The respondents' demographic, socio-economic, and medical characteristics, rehabilitation service received, willingness to receive home-visit rehabilitation services, and satisfaction with the rehabilitation services were analyzed by frequency and percentage. A Likert scoring system consisting of five agreement-disagreement categories was applied to each item, consisting of Very Satisfied, Satisfied, So-So, Poorly Satisfied, and Very Poorly Satisfied. The major findings were as follows: 1) The rehabilitation services used included medical rehabilitation (26.9%), followed by social assistance (23.5%), diagnosis by a physician at home (17.3%), medical examination (12.3%), housekeeping services (6.2%), and vocational and educational rehabilitation (3.5%). 2) Of the medical services, the respondents desired physical therapy at home and free rental of rehabilitation equipment, such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, the most, followed by home visit occupational therapy, nursing services, and oriental medicine service in descending order. 3) Some of the respondents expressed so-so satisfaction (50.0%) or dissatisfaction (16.9%) with the rehabilitation services provided by the Wonju Public Health Center. These findings should prove useful when planning or extending community-based rehabilitation programs for the homebound disabled in the community.

        This research was designed to develop a computer program and evaluate the nutritional balances especially the balance of fatty acids, amino acids and antioxidant vitamins for convenience foods. The Korean convenience food, Kimbab purchased from markets was evaluated by using the self-developed computer program. Contents of calories, protein and calcium were lower(1/3˚+1/2) than the recommended levels of Korean adult woman, and the carbohydrate/ protein/ fat(CPF) energy ratio was 70: 13: 17. The mean P/ M/ S ratio was 2.2/ 1.4/ 1 and that of Ω6/ Ω3 fatty acids was 17.9/ 1, which was higher than the desirable ratio of 4~8/ 1. Average essential amino acid balance of market-Kimbab samples was within the desirable range even though the absolute amount of protein was lower than the recommended level. Contents of antioxidant vitamins (A, C &E) were lower than recommended levels. Two kinds of nutritionally adjusted Kimbab menu were established by self-developed computer program. Some of major changes was adding food ingredients such as tuna fish and perilla leaf cooked with sesame oil and soybean oil to increase Ω3 series fatty acids. Some fruits and milk were also added to the menu. The adjusted CPF ratios was 63: 15: 22 and the new values for P/ M/ S and Ω6/ Ω3 fatty acids ratios were 1.0/ 1.2/ 1/0 and 6.1/ 1 respectively. In sensory evaluation of two kinds of adjusted Kimbab, the taste and overall estimation scores were higher than unadjusted Kimbab. The computer program developed in this study might be used as a tool for the evaluation of nutritional balance of other convenience foods and menu planning.

        본 논문에서는 가압열충격의 파괴역학적 해석에 필요한 이론을 조사하였고 원자로용기의 구조건전성을 평가하기 위하여 해석과정을 전산화하였다. 우선 사고 transient에 대하여 원자로용기내의 압력과 주입되는 냉각재의 온도변화가 주어지면 이들로 부터 시간에 따른 용기에서의 온도와 응력분포를 구하고, 중성자 조사량과 용기 재질의 화학성분으로 부터 기준무연성천이온도의 분포가 구해지며 이로부터 파괴인성치 KIA와 KIC의 분포가 얻어진다. 또한 응력분포로 부터 균열의 크기 및 형상에 따라 응력확대계수 KI이 구해지므로 이를 KIA및 KIC와 비교함으로써 균열의 성장거동을 예측할 수 있다. 지금까지 보고된 가압열충격을 유발할 수 있는 대표적인 사고 transient가 국내 발전소에 발생할 경우를 가정하여 해석을 수행하였고 그 결과에 대하여 검토하였다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate food sanitation training program for the improvement of food service operation in day-care centers. Subjects consisted of 55(experimental) and 25(control) foodservice employees and 33(experimental) and 20(control)directors. The results of this study can be summarized as follow: 1. The majority of child care directors(55.0%(control), 46.9%(experimental)) received food sanitation education but 70% of control and 75.7% of experimental group did not conduct any practical sanitation training for employees. 2. The employee's food sanitary practices of control and experimental did not show any significant difference at the pre-test level but only the experimental group showed a significant improvement at the post-test level. 3. The sanitary knowledge of food service employees between two groups did not show any significant difference at the pre-test level, but a significant knowledge improvement was observed at the post-test level such as food poisoning concepts and sanitary equipment maintenance only in experimental group. 4. Dicrectors' sanitary practices affected the employees' sanitary practices but directors' food sanitary knowledge did not have much influence on the employees' knowledge.

        Education policy is a dynamic process featuring social development trends. The world countries have focused their education program on empowering the learners for future life and work. This paper aims to assess the higher education curriculum based on a survey of 280 students, employers, alumni, and lecturers in both social sciences and natural sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The fuzzy decisionmaking method, namely the Fuzzy Extent Analysis Method (F-EAM), was applied to measure the relative weight of each parameter. Seven factors under the curriculum development have been put in the ranking. Input with emphasis on foreign language was the highest priority in curriculum development, given the expected demand of the labor market. Objective and learning outcome and teaching activities ranked second and third, respectively. The traditional triangle of teaching content, methodology, and evaluation and assessment are still proven their roles, but certain modifications have been defined in the advanced curriculum. Teaching facilities had the least weight among the seven dimensions of curriculum development. The findings are helpful for education managers to efficiently allocate scarce resources to reform the curriculum to bridge the undergraduate quality gap between labor supply and demand, meeting the dynamic trends of social development.

        Recently earthquakes are happen frequently and domestic road facilities are in the age of aging. These factors are the cause of increasing the damage of road facilities. The owner has to suggest a reasonable seismic retrofit on a limited budget. Advanced countries for seismic and soc-facilities have been developed a software to support risk-mitigation decision by estimating losses from earthquake; such as HAZUS in USA and RETIS-RISK in Greek. In Korea, decision support softwares have been studied to effectively manage seismic performance of road network through soc-economic restoration and seismic performance evaluation. From this research, the system for the management of seismic performance of aged road facilities will be developed
