        Sickness absence is one of the most important indicators for worker's health and occupational safety and health performance. Sickness absence is primarily depended upon sickness but psycho-social factors in workplace may moderate sickness absence. Even though worker is falling into illness, sickness absence can be prevented by job satisfaction. In Korea it is very difficult to find research output about the association of sickness absence with job satisfaction. This study is planned to investigate the effect of job satisfaction on sickness absence. The third Korean Working Conditions Survey done by Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute in 2011 was used to analyze by logistic regression analysis. The result has shown that job satisfaction has statistically significant effect on sickness absence and simultaneously diminish the effect of symptoms experience on sickness absence. The effect of job satisfaction is greater in short term sickness absence than in long term sickness absence. This study has some limitation because of the cross sectional data of Korean Working Conditions Survey. In future, sophisticated statistical analysis may be done with modelling.

        오늘날 기업구조조정은 빠르게 변화하는 시장경제에 적응하고, 기업의 경쟁력을 제고하는 방안으로 다양하게 실시되고 있다. 그동안 기업구조조정은 주로 상법상의 연구대상으로 다뤄왔으나, 기업구조조정은 기업의 종업원인 근로자의 근로관계에도 중대한 영향을 미치는 점은 부인할 수 없다. 따라서 이러한 상황에서 근로자의 사회적 보호필요성이라는 측면을 재조명하고, 기업구조조정에 대한 합리적인 규율방안을 마련하는 것은 노동법제에 주어진 핵심과제라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 개별적 근로관계 부분과 집단적 노사관계 부분으로 나뉘어 기업구조조정과 관련된 주요 쟁점을 분석하고, 각각의 논평을 시도하였다. 나아가 지난 2003년에 발표된 노사관계선진화 방안 및 19대 국회에서 발의된 주요 입법안에서 다루고 있는 내용을 소개ᆞ평가하고, 기업구조조정에 관한 새로운 관점에서의 보호방안도 제시하였다. 생각건대 이제는 기업구조조정과 근로관계에 관련하여 그동안 형성되어 온 판례 법리를 적극적으로 입법화하고 합리적인 규율방안을 강구함으로써 근로자를 보호하고, 법적안정성 및 법적명확성도 확보해야 할 것이다.

        While Korea had achieved radical growth of construction industry, it also had accumulated problems in material, human and economical loss due to its low quality of safety level. Therefore, not only enterprises but also the nation is putting in a great deal of efforts for construction safety. However, its effect is not satisfiable. This research aims for change of construction cite by introduction of professional Safety Patrol Management System(SPMS) and consideration of its necessity. To consideration of its necessity, we compared and anaylzed average numbers of indicated dangers and safety accident incidences in each construction cites and we researched changes in worker's safety sense. It will establish the suitable design standards and suggest the basic database for estimating disaster and accident ratio.

        To solve the serious problem of insufficient manpower in medium and small scaled companies, our country allows introduction of foreign manpower for 5 business types such as manufacture industry, service industry, etc. and there are 226,825 people who entered by employment license system(E-9) in Sep. 2013. However, according to the results of investigation 「actual status and difficulties of foreign manpower's employment of medium and small scaled manufacturing companies」of KFTA in 2013, 36.4% of respondents responded that current scale of introducing foreign manpower is insufficient to solve difficulties of insufficient manpower in industrial world and 37.7% of them responded that the quarter of new employment is insufficient. So, they hope that current quarter system of foreign manpower can be abolished. Meanwhile, introduction scale of foreign manpower was decided by 53,000 people so as to solve enterprise difficulties in manpower and vitalize economics this year, but illegal aliens are 39,623, more than 17.5%, in Sep. 2013 after employment expiration. Therefore, it becomes serious social problem. Government displays various support businesses so that foreign workers after employment expiration can return to their homeland legally. This thesis intends to find measures to maintain royalty for our country and support their smooth resettlement through the analysis on homecoming support business of foreign workers.

        Despite over eighty percent of industrial accidents were caused by unsafe behaviors, most safety programs still focus on changing workers’ internal status such as thinking and attitude rather than directly changing safe related behaviors. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the basic concepts and procedures of Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) which originated in applied behavior science (ABS), BBS attempts to change safety related behaviors by manipulating antecedents and consequences of workers’ behaviors. Also this paper introduces several case studies conducted globally in various industrial fields. These case studies highlight the procedures of BBS, their impacts on safety performance and accidents rate, and other business results. Based on these results, this paper proposes new guidelines for safety management.

        This study was planned to investigate the effect of the exposure to hazard factors on work environment satisfaction. Existing researches about job satisfaction have focused on the general working conditions, such as working hours, wage, human relationship, job task and so on. Korean Working Conditions Survey was used for this study because that relevant questions were included. The effect of the exposure to hazard factors on work environment satisfaction may be produced by hierarchical regression analysis because of comparison with existing model for work environment satisfaction. The exposure to hazards factors were statistically significant effect on work environment satisfaction after adjusting other confounding variables, such as gender, age, educational level, job security, work hour, work load, work autonomy, social support, etc. This study has some limitation because that KWCS was cross sectional survey. Some researches about the causal effect and its mechanism may be suggested as future study.

        이 연구는 PD 성향, 개인주의 성향, 상사와 부하의 사회적 교환관계(LMX)가 조직의 변화 동인인 근로자 언로행위에 미치는 직접적 영향관계의 효과를 확인 하였다. 또한 특성 활성화 이론(trait activation theory)을 접목하여 LMX와 근로자 언로에 미치는 효과를 개인의 가치관이 반영된 PD와 개인주의 성향이 이들 간의 관계를 조절하는지를 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과 LMX와 PD 성향은 근로자 상향적 언로와 유의한 긍정적 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 LMX와 근로자 상향적 언로 간 관계에서 PD 성향이 낮은 상황에서, 그리고 개인주의 성향이 높을 때 긍정적 조절효과가 강하게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 분석결과에서 근로자 언로와 부하의 리더십 관계에 있어서 심리적 접근 방법을 담론적 연구에서 실증적 연구로 끌어 올렸다는 점과 리더십 이론에서 LMX 질이 높은 구성원은 상사와의 언로행위에 있어서도 긍정적 유의한 관계가 형성된다는 함의가 도출되었다. 또한 실무적으로는 부하들이 지니고 있는 가치관의 특성에 따라 관리자들의 전략적 리더십 행위가 필요함과 동시에 리더십을 발휘하는 관리자들은 권한을 행사할 때 이슈를 고려해야 한다는 시사점이 도출되었다. 그러나 이 연구는 제조업 근로자만을 대상으로 하였다는 협소함으로 일반화하기에는 무리가 있고, 동일방법 편의에 의해 변수들의 관계가 부풀려졌을 가능성 등의 한계를 가지고 있다.

        This study empirically examines how much effect levels of fatigue and stress of a construction worker have on disaster risks from the perspective of human factors concerning construction disaster risks. To achieve the purpose of this study, a survey was conducted with respect to construction workers working at large construction sites within the metropolitan area. The retrieved survey data were analyzed by using the statistical software programs, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 8.0. The results of this study do not definitively lead to the conclusion that the level of fatigue or stress of construction workers result in disaster risks. However, it does show that the results vary depending upon the individual approach and treatment of stress and fatigue. In particular, this study revealed that disaster risk levels could increase through unsafe behavior intentions which were established as a mediator variable. Also, with respect to unsafe behavior intentions of construction workers leading to disaster risks, when examining the results that the level of mental fatigue, occupational stress and social-psychological stress of construction workers had a greater significant effect than the level of physical fatigue, this study demonstrates the importance of psychological and mental issues that could be easily overlooked with respect manual labor workers.

        Flexible production system has been expanded to all sectors of economy with the change of labor market and diversification of employment. The unstable employment with irregular work has replaced stable employment with regular work. This study has investigate the impact pathway of the type of employment on health status especially ill-health symptoms experiences. Among the first Korean Working Conditions Survey data, the employee's response data was used to analyze the path way with multiple regression analysis. The result has shown the direct effect of the type of employment on ill-health symptoms experience. Indirect effect of the type of employment was found the pathway via the exposure to noise, high temperature, low temperature, dust, skin contact to chemicals, painful posture, heavy material handling, standing position, repetitive movement of hands. However the exposure to the other hazardous factors such as organic solvent, wholebody vibration, radiation, lifting people, infectious materials were not influenced by the type of employment.

        The occupational injury and illness(OII) was influenced by the various factors. This study was planned to investigate the pathway of the activities of OSHM on the rate of OII via worker's participation. The survey on the trend of the activities of OSHM was used. The sample size of manufacturing industry was 3,000 enterprises and that of construction was 1,000 enterprises. The survey was done by interview method with structure questionnaire. Questions about the activities of OHSM were integrated into one category using factor analysis. The enterprises with OII has more activities of OSHM than that without OII. Among enterprises with OII, the level of the activities of OSHM was positively correlated with the rate of OII. The activities of OSHM has influenced on the rate of OII directly and indirectly via worker's participation and the activities of prevention of accident. Worker's participation also has the direct effect and indirect effect on the rate of OII. Worker's participation in construction sector has more effect on OII than that in manufacturing sector.

        Employees used computer significantly(IT employee) is increased by technological development in workplace. This study tried to find the magnitude of IT employees and the profile of their working conditions and ill health experiences in South Korea. Korean Working Conditions Survey was used with descriptive and mean difference test in order to find the difference working conditions and ill health status among the groups classified by the degree of using computer during work. Some of working conditions was positively correlated with the density of computer use such as work autonomy, the exposure of repetitive movement of hand and arms. The pain of upper extreme was also more frequently found in the highest user group of computer than lower user groups. This study as heuristic one suggest that some of depth analysis with hypothesis will be done to identify the causes and pathway of impact of computer use.

        본 논문은 노동시장 유연성과 외국직접투자에 대한 관계를 연구한 것이다. 또한, 이것은 어떤 유형의 노동시장이 유연하고, 어느 정도의 유연함이 가능하며, 어떤 종류의 정책들이 유연한 노동시장에 필요한지를 검토한다. 이러한 분석은 크게 대륙법과 영미법으로 구성된 법체계에 근거할 것이다. 특히, 이러한 비교는 고용과 노동시장이 얼마나 강하게 규제되고 있는지를 확인할 수 있다. 많은 나라들은 경제가 어려울 때, 어떠한 노동정책들이 그들의 이익에 기여할 수 있는지에 대해 고려해야 할 선택의 순간이 온다.일반적으로, 대륙법계 나라의 노동시장은 성문화된 고용과 노사관계법 그리고 고용법규정의 강행성으로 인해 매우 경직된 상태이다. 반면, 영미법계의 나라들은 판례나 임의고용원칙으로 인해 좀 더 유연성을 갖는다. 이러한 전제하에, 이 논문은 대륙법계와 영미법계나라들이 노동시장 유연성과 외국직접투자사이의 관계에 관하여 상이한 접근법이 필요하다는 것을 검토하게 된다.사실상, 영미법계나라들의 노동시장은 대륙법계나라들보다 외국직접투자를 더 많이 끌어온다. 그러나 본 논문은 특정한 나라들이 많은 외국직접투자를 가져온다면, 사용자측면의 노동시장 유연성이 지속적으로 제고되어야 하는지에 대한 문제를 제기하는 바이다. 더욱 중요한 것은, 그들의 노동시장이 안정적인가라는 의문을 제기할 수 있다. 결과적으로, 많은 나라들이 근로자측면의 노동시장 유연성을 고려해야 할 필요성이 있다.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the health risk of workers exposed to phenyl glycidyl ether to prevent themfrom developing occupational diseases. The workplaces that coat floor with epoxy were selected and the sampleswere collected and analyzed with NIOSH 1619 Method. Unit risk was calculated according to the animalcarcinogenicity study. Excess cancer risk was also calculated by multiplying unit risk by exposure concentration.Monte Carlo simulation was performed to calculate the median, cumulative 90%, and cumulative 95% value.Phenyl glycidyl ether is a skin, eye irritator and can result in allergic reaction, nausea, intoxication. Unit risk wascalculated as 0.04 (mg/m³)-¹ based on the tumor incidence in rats. Geometric mean and geometric standarddeviation was also calculated as 0.112 ppm and 0.223, respectively by the workplace environment measurements.The median, cumulative 90%, and cumulative 95% value of excess cancer risk were calculated as 0.0244, 0.1328,0.1596, respectively. Not only cumulative 90% and cumulative 95% value but also the median of excess cancerrisk is much higher than 1×10-⁴ by the risk characterization, so there is a possibility of carcinogenesis to workers.Therefore, supervisors or managers of each workplace have to keep doing the risk management of their workplacesfor workers to reduce exposure to phenyl glycidyl ether.

        This research examines the causal relationships between supervisor trust and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and the mediating role of organizational trust on OCB. Using the sample of 282 small and medium sized enterprises’ employees, this study analyzes three alternative hypotheses centered around supervisor trust, organizational trust, and OCB. The results show that supervisor trust has a strong positive effect on OCB. Second, organizational trust is positively related to OCB. Third, this research proves that partial mediating effects of organizational trust exist between supervisor trust(relational trust) and OCB(civic virtue, sportsmanship). Finally, this research proves that a full mediating effect of organizational trust exists between supervisor trust(calculative trust) and OCB(sportsmanship). This study recommends supervisor trust, organizational trust be valued in order to increase OCB vital for organizational effectiveness or productivity in small-medium sized manufacturing enterprises.

        OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Act) generally regulates employer’s business principles in the workplace to maintain safety environment. This act has the fundamental purpose to protect employee’s safety and health in the workplace by reducing industrial accidents. Authors tried to investigate the correlation between ‘occupational injuries and illnesses’ and level of regulation compliance using Survey on Current Status of Occupational Safety & Health data by the various statistical methods, such as generalized regression analysis, logistic regression analysis and poison regression analysis in order to compare the results of those methods. The results have shown that the significant affecting compliance factors were different among those statistical methods. This means that specific interpretation should be considered based on each statistical method. In the future, relevant statistical technique will be developed considering the distribution type of occupational injuries

        본 연구는 남성 근로자들의 대사증후군 유병율을 알아보 고, 체위와 혈액학적 지수, 식습관과 건강관련 행동 등 여러 가지 요인들과 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 대상자들의 일 반적인 사항은 연령은 정상군 및 위험군은 ‘20대’가 가장 많 은 반면, 대사증후군군에서는 ‘30대’가 가장 많게 나타났다. 혈청 ALT의 농도는 대사증후군군(31.3±14.0 U/ℓ)이 정상군 (19.2±7.6 U/ℓ) 및 위험군(22.8±12.5 U/ℓ)에 비해 유의적으 로 높게 나타났으며, AST(p<.05) 및 γ-GTP 농도(p<.001)는 대 사증후군군(30.3±8.8 U/ℓ, 91.1±40.2 U/ℓ) > 위험군(25.7±8.1 U/ℓ, 41.8±20.2 U/ℓ) > 정상군(22.8±6.0 U/ℓ, 26.6±10.7 U/ ℓ) 순으로 높게 나타났다. 수축기 혈압은 대사증후군군(132.9±6.3 ㎜Hg)>위험군(123.5± 9.8 ㎜Hg)>정상군(116.8±7.0 ㎜Hg) 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 이완기 혈압은 대사증후군군이 정상군(75.0±5.1 ㎜Hg)과 위 험군(79.1±7.1 ㎜Hg)보다 높게 나타났다. 혈청 중성지질 및 혈 당 농도는 대사증후군군(242.5±114.8 ㎎/㎗, 142.3± 53.7 ㎎/㎗)> 위험군(186.9±134.3 ㎎/㎗, 111.3±37.0 ㎎/㎗)>정상군(82.8±33.8 ㎎/㎗, 84.7±16.9 ㎎/㎗) 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 동맥경화지 수는 대사증후군군(3.5±1.2)이 정상군(2.2±0.7)과 위험군(2.7±1.0) 에 비해 높게 나타난 반면 HDL-콜레스테롤 농도는 대사증후 군군(45.9±14.0 ㎎/㎗)이 정상군(62.4± 16.6 ㎎/㎗) 및 위험군 (56.2±14.5 ㎎/㎗)에 비해 낮았다. 아침식사의 빈도에서는 아침식사를 ‘매일 한다’는 응답률은 대사증후군군이 가장 높은 반면 ‘전혀 하지 않는다’라는 응 답률은 정상군이 가장 높았다. 음주 빈도는 정상군과 위험군 에서는 ‘주 3~4회’가 가장 많은 반면에 대사증후군군의 경우 에는 ‘주 5회 이상’이 가장 많았다. 음주량에서 ‘주 200 g 미 만’은 위험군이 가장 많았고, ‘주 200~399 g’은 정상군이 가장 많았으며, ‘주 400 g 이상’은 대사증후군군이 가장 많았다. 정 상군의 경우 연령이 많아질수록 Hemoglobin 농도는 낮았으 나 LDL-C/HDL-C와 AI는 높았고, 위험군은 연령이 많아질수 록 Hemoglobin 농도는 낮았으나 혈당 농도는 높게 나타났다. 대사증후군군의 경우에는 연령이 많아질수록 Hemoglobin 농 도는 낮았으나 γ-GTP, LDL-콜레스테롤및 수축기 혈압은 높 게 나타났다. AST 농도가 높을수록 대사증후군군에서는 혈 당 농도가 높았으며, ALT 농도가 높을수록 위험군에서는 허 리둘레와 수축기 혈압이 높았다. 그리고 γ-GTP 농도가 높을 수록 위험군에서는 수축기 혈압과 허리둘레가 높았으며, 대 사증후군군에서는 혈당 농도가 높게 나타났다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 조사 대상자들의 아침식사 빈도, 교육 수준, 음주량 및 음주 빈도, 운동 빈도, AST, ALT 및 γ- GTP 농도가 대사증후군의 유병률에 영향을 미치는 중요 요 인인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대사증후군의 유병률을 줄이 고 나아가서는 심혈관질환의 위험을 감소시키기 위해서는 체중 감소, 활동량 증가, 음주량 및 음주 빈도 줄이기 등의 다양한 생활습관 교정이 필요하며, 이에 대한 연구와 교육이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.
