The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of risk awareness on injury experience in quick delivery service workers. Risk awareness has complicate characteristics such as its level of worker and worker's decision about the level of other's risk perception. Data were collected by interview survey with structured questionnaire about injury experience, risk perception, work characteristics, and socio-demographic characteristics of quick delivery service workers by cross sectional survey design in 2012. The sample size was 120 respondent of quick delivery service workers. Statistical method for this study was hierarchical logistic regression method with 3 different models using socio-demographic characteristics and work characteristics and risk perception, etc. The difference between the level of risk perception of quick delivery service and other’s was statistically significant effect on the experience of injury. Especially the higher the level of risk perception of quick delivery service workers is than other’s, the lower the injury experience of quick delivery service worker is. The limitation of this study can be found in survey design. The future study for investigation of mechanism of the combined effect of risk perception of quick delivery service workers and others on injury experience.
This study compared data regarding industrial accidents and awareness level for beauty product safety for four main parts of beauty industry such as hair-care, nail-care, skin-care, and make-up. Major risk factors in beauty industry are dust, musculoskeletal disorders, and organic solvent of beauty product in order of percentage. The specific types of industrial accidents in beauty industry are mainly associated with musculoskeletal system such as cuts, sprain, and varicose vein. They are mainly compensated by personal budget. The awareness levels of chemical and heavy metal containment for beauty product by beauty industry employee were 77.2% and 59.1% respectively. Most employee confirmed only important items of labelling requirement of beauty product. Also, most employee did not understand MSDS(Materila Safety Data) for chemicals used in beauty industry. Only 38.1% of beauty industry employee has had safety education while most employee (73.6%) realized that they needed safety education. Also, safety education supervised by KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency) was the most preferred. This study would be good basis for safe and healthy working environment of beauty industry employee.
본 연구는 미용업 분야를 헤어, 네일, 피부, 메이크업으로 나누어 사고재해 실태와 사용 제품에 대한 안전 인식도를 비교하기 위하여 수행되었다. 그 결과 근무하는 사업장의 작업 시 발생하는 유해요인으로는 분진, 근골격계, 화학 물질 함유 제품의 유기용제 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 지난 1년 동안의 사고 및 재해는 26.3%가 경험한 것으로 파악되었다. 사고나 재해의 종류로는 베임, 인대 늘어남, 하지 정맥류 등의 근골격계 이상이 가장 많았다. 미용업에서 사용되고 있는 제품의 화학물질 함유에 대한 인지도는 77.2%, 중금속 함 유에 대하여 인지도는 59.1%로 나타났으며, 미용업 관련 제품의 표시사항(성분, 주의 사항 등)에 대한 확인 여부는 ‘중요한 내용만 확인’한다는 응답이 가장 많았다. 화학물질에 대한 물질안전보건자료(MSDS)의 인지여부는 88.8%가 알지 못하는 것으 로 나타났으며, 물질안전보건자료(MSDS)에 대한 인식도 및 사업장의 비치 여부가 낮 은 것으로 파악되었다. 안전교육의 필요성은 73.6%로 높게 나타나 안전 교육에 대한 대책 마련이 요구되었다. 본 연구는 미용업 전반에 대한 사고재해 실태 및 안전의식에 관한 포괄적인 연구가 수행되어 미용업 근로자의 안전의식 고취와 정책적 안전관리 방안, 근로자 건강관리의 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
As of Dec. 31, 2011, the number of nation's escalators accounts for 24,248 units, 5.4% of total elevators in our country, safety accidents take up as many 539 case, 55.2% of total elevators' safety accidents. Escalator safety accidents show high incident ratio of primary safety accidents breaking out by users' careless and abnormal use type, taking up multi-caused accident, which mainly take place from vulnerable age groups such as children under 13, and elders above 65. The Government will have to devote itself for policy and support for the establishment of safety management system fit for current state, the revitalization of preventive education for safety accident, the enhancement of safety awareness to escalators' users in order to secure escalator safety environment on an international level and support domestic industrial development.

However, there are a few studies trying to prevent user from unexpected safety-accident in BCI study. The EEGs were collected from 19 subjects who participated in two experiments (rest & event-related potential measurement). There was significant difference in EEG changes of both spontaneous and event-related potential. Beta power and P300 latency may be useful as a biomarker for prevention of response to safety-accident.

The purpose of this study was to reduce safety accidents among food employees in contracted foodservice management companies, and to help provide high-quality foodservice and assistance. For this, a survey on the different opinions of workplace safety and education by employment type and employee perceptions of environment and safety at foodservice operations was carried out. The analysis showed that among the workers many women were irregular employees. For average age, between 40 and 49 was the most frequent, and for work duration, under one year was highest. Both regular employees and irregular employees deemed "enough staff" as the most major factor for good foodservice. The regular employees and irregular employees thought "high indoor temperatures and poor ventilation in the kitchen area" and "bad work cooperation between employees" as the main problems of foodservice operations, respectively. For satisfaction with the efficiency of foodservice production system, irregular employees had higher satisfaction than regular employees. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "the number of foodservice employees" as the foremost improvement for safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements. Regular employees, more than irregular employees, thought improvements in foodservice production systems would have a large affect on safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements of food workers. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "foodservice employees` safety consciousness" was an important part of safety-accident prevention. Likewise, they responded that "lectures by the person in charge of safety education" was a good methods of safety education, and "once a month" was the best period for safety education. For the difference in perceptions of environment and safety in foodservice systems, regular employees had a higher perception of safety than irregular employees.
In the industrial site of 21st century, there are many and various powders of material, product and fuel of coal, chemical, detergent, paint, feed and more. Therefore, there always is a possible danger of dust explosion in each and every procedure and actually, there are increasing frequency of dust explosion as the use of dust and its amount increases in processes. Therefore, if we leave the current status like now, the unexpected massive dust explosion and its risk cannot be effectively prevented so there has to be effective application of understanding and development of explosion-prevention technology about dust explosion. Therefore, this research set the limit of research to systematically arrange the research results about dust explosion phenomenon and its prevention up to date and has its purpose to theoretically establish the prevention technology about dust explosion based on these theories.
최근 국가정책적으로 국가어항 및 지방어항에 다기능 시설이 도입되고 있으며, 지역경제 활성화와 국민의 여가생활 및 레져활동에 기여하는 바가 크다고 볼 수 있음. 그러나, 이에 따른 중소형선박의 출몰, 레져보트의 무분별한 이용행태, 지역어민과의 마찰 등 항내 혼잡도 및 이해집단과의 마 찰은 매우 증가될 것으로 예상되나, 이에 따른 대책과 올바른 방향제시가 부족한 실정임. 또한, 초보자의 선박조종 등 수역내의 입출항이 매우 혼잡할 경우 이에 따른 선박충돌 사고위험도 증가되어, 사전 안전사고 예방 및 사후 사고처리방안과 선박에서 유출될 수 있는 오염원의 신속한 차단 등이 필요할 것 임. 본 연구는 다기능 어항에서 출몰될 수 있는 선박 등의 조사와 수역을 이용하는 선박의 안전사고에 대한 원인을 분석하여 대책 방안을 제안하고자 함.
This study surveyed the change of housewives’ purchase behaviors by food safety incidents; the outbreak of 2008 Melamine incident in Korea as for example. 565 housewives in Gunsan were interviewed in March 2009. 52.3% of respondents were regarded as unsatisfactory for food safety management in Korea. Despite the result of scientific assessment for melamine, 74.6% of respondents were yet regarded as health-threatening substance. By the point of before, during and after Melamine-related food safety incident, we were surveyed the level of purchase for melamine-related food items as five scales, the results were 2.47 ± 0.97, 1.80 ± 0.92 and 1.62 ± 0.92, respectively (p < 0.001). After the incident happened, the purchase level was even more reduced. This study also found that there were significance difference (p < 0.05) among the respondents’ knowledge for melamine toxicity and food safety management in Korea concerning housewives’ purchase behaviors, i.e. the more accurately for melamine toxicity and higher satisfactory of consciousness of food safety, there were less change of purchase behaviors. In conclusion, the consciousness of food safety and accurate knowledge of hazards were significantly affected for the change of housewives’purchase behaviors by food safety incidents. Therefore, it can be suggested that the need for more scientific risk communication strategies with consumer.
