        Fish school monitoring technology is utilized for various purposes, such as boat fishing and resource surveys. With advancements in information and communication technology, this technology has expanded its application to remote areas. Its significance has grown in fishing sites, particularly for improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of set-net fishing. Set-net fishing gears are not limited to coastal areas, but are also installed in inland and remote sea regions. Consequently, fishermen require technology that allows them to quickly transmit information about approaching fish schools and enables them to perform long-term monitoring. The development of remote monitoring technology for set-net fish schools must consider crucial design factors such as communication range, transmission speed, power consumption of information modules, and operational expenses. In this study, we developed a low-power remote monitoring module for set-net fish school based on WCDMA. The module was specifically designed to minimize power consumption, allowing for communication over long distances and extended operation times in set-net fishing applications. Furthermore, we developed a web server software application that enables remote access to fish schools and provides real-time weather information. The performance of the developed module was evaluated through set-net fishing site application and experiments with moving ships on the sea. The experimental results demonstrated that the remote monitoring system, consisting of the developed low-power remote monitoring module for set-net fish school based on WCDMA and a fish finder, had an average power consumption of 4.6 W, a maximum communication range of 22.84 km, and a data transmission and reception rate of 98.79%. The maximum fish school information transmission and reception rate was 97.26%.

        PURPOSES : The numeric-based Highway Pavement Management System (HPMS), along with an advanced three-dimensional pavement condition monitoring profiler vehicle (3DPM), in South Korea has presented remarkable advancements in pavement management since the early 2000. Based on these results, visual distress on pavement surfaces can be easily detected and analyzed. Additionally, the entire expressway pavement surface conditions in South Korea can be easily monitored using the current graphical user interface-based advanced information graphic (AIG) approach. Therefore, a critically negative pavement section can be detected and managed more easily and efficiently. However, the actual mechanical performance of the selected pavement layer still needs to be investigated in a more thorough manner not only to provide more accurate pavement performance results but also to verify the feasibility of the current 3DPM and AIG approaches. In this study, the low-temperature performance of the selected asphalt pavement layer section was evaluated to further verify and strengthen the feasibility of the current 3DPM and AIG approaches developed by the Korea Expressway Corporation. METHODS : Based on 3DPM and AIG approach, the positive and negative-riding-quality road sections were selected, respectively. The asphalt material cores were extracted from each section then bending beam rheometer mixture creep test was performed to measure their low-temperature properties. Based on the experimental results, thermal stress results were computed and visually compared. RESULTS : As expected, the asphalt material from the negative driving performance section presented a poorer low-temperature cracking resistance than that from the positive driving performance section. CONCLUSIONS : Current 3DPM equipment can successfully evaluate expressway surface conditions and the corresponding material performance quality. However, more extensive experimental studies are recommended to verify and strengthen the findings of this study

        The Net Promotor Score (NPS) is one of the most well-known metrics for measuring customer loyalty. Originally designed by Reichheld (2003), the measure asks participants to rate their likelihood to recommend the brand on a scale of 0-10, after which respondents are placed into a ‘detractors’ group, ‘passive’ group or ‘promotors’ group. While the measure has attracted much attention due to its simplicity and ease of use, there has equally been much criticism of its reliability, nomological validity and how it is connected to business outcomes. Therefore, the current study aims to understand whether the NPS can be used to identify brand advocacy, and secondly, does the NPS work in a care-based, low switching service context. The study included three unique contexts: at home care, residential care and disability care. In total, there were 611 participants, all of which were based in Australia. A questionnaire was developed and administered to each group and included both quantitative and qualitative questions to understand the consumer experience. The findings supported NPS as an effective metric in a care-based, low-switching context for identifying positive customer advocacy. The implication is that the NPS can be used to track organizational performance; and the extended NPS allows organizations to understand and encourage (address) positive (negative) advocacy. In addition, suggestions for an ‘earned advocacy score’ were provided which may offer a more effective way of understanding consumer experience, while providing clearer, more detailed and more actionable data. The current study provides much needed insight for brand and care organizations to understand how the NPS might be used effectively to facilitate better brand outcomes.

        본 연구는 저소득층 중년 여성의 골다공증 지식, 골다공증 예방행위의 상관관계 및 골다공증 예방행위에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 P시에 소재한 3개 종 합병원에 내원한 저소득층 중년 여성 317명이며, 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 2021년 2월 1일부터 2022 년 12월 30일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 27.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, Stepwise multiple linear regression으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 연구대상자의 골다공증 지식은 11.97±6.89점으로 낮게 나타났고, 골다공증 예방 교육 및 골절 경험에서 차이를 보였다. 골다공증 예방행위는 41.03±7.63점으로 낮았고, 종교, 동반질환, 골다공증 예방 교육 및 골절 경험, 주관적 건강상태에 따라 차이를 보였다. 골다공증 지식과 골다공증 예방행위는 통계적으로 유 의한 양의 상관관계를 보였고(r=.527, p<.001), 골다공증 예방행위에 영향을 미치는 요인은 골절 경험(β =.415, p<.001), 골다공증 예방 교육(β=.359, p<.001), 주관적 건강상태(β=.186, p<.001) 순으로 나타났 다. 따라서 본 연구 결과를 토대로 저소득층 중년 여성의 골다공증 예방행위를 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램 을 개발하고, 참여를 권장할 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 등의 지속적인 관리가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

        In this study, numerical modeling on the gas flow and off-gases in the low temperature carbonization furnace for carbon fiber was analyzed. The furnace was designed for testing carbonization process of carbon fibers made from various precursors. Nitrogen gas was used as a working gas and it was treated as an incompressible ideal gas. Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics for steady state turbulent flow was used to analyze flow pattern and temperature field in the furnace. The off-gas mass fraction and cumulative emission gas of species were incorporated into the CFD analyses by using the user defined function(UDF). As a results, during the carbonization process, the emission of CO2 was the dominant among the off-gases, and tow moving made the flow in the furnace be uniform.

        홍삼의 일반적인 가공법인 물과 주정 혼합용매로 추출여과하여 농축액으로 제조 시 증숙 등의 가열처리에 의해 가수분해되거나 중합반응이 일어나게 되어 현재 기능성이 밝혀진 30여 가지 주요 진세노사이드 외 극미량인 200여 종의 진세노사이드가 검출되고 있어서, 오히려 홍삼 본래 의 기능성 규명과 효능 구현을 복잡하게 만들고, 추출 횟 수를 거듭할수록 떫은맛이 강해지는 등 건강기능식품으로 서 부정적인 영향을 배제하기 위하여 저온(40oC 미만)에 서 1차만 추출한 홍삼농축액을 제조한 결과 수율은 고형 분 66-77% 정도에서 26-30%를 나타내어 기존의 연구 결 과인 40.47±0.47% 보다 현저히 적은 수율을 나타내었고, 동결건조 분말의 진세노사이드 함량분석시험을 진행한 결 과 시료 18종 전체에서 진세노사이드 34종이 검출되었고, 특히 홍삼 지표성분 3종인 Rb1, Rg1, Rg3 합계는 42.48 mg/ g으로 시판 홍삼제품의 환산량 9.0 mg/g과 8.7 mg/g 보다 4-5배 많았다. 본 시료는 진한 홍삼의 향취와 함께 면역력 증진 등 6가지 기능발현에 9-25%의 소량 복용으로 1일 복 용량이 유의성 있게 작아서 복용의 편의성과 함께 제품의 보관, 유통에 장점이 있는 것으로 판단된다.

        As the demand for ready-to-eat foods continues to grow, concerns about the sodium in processed foods are also growing. In this study, a survey was conducted on the perception of low-sodium products and diffusion plans according to the type of employee (manufacturer, retailer, distributor). Of the 191 responses collected, 189 valid responses (98.9%) were analyzed. The results showed that the employees were aware of the health contribution of a low-sodium diet, labeling for low-sodium, and the promotion of low-sodium food to increase its consumption. Furthermore, retailers recognized the positive contribution of low-sodium products in terms of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management. The use of sodium substitutes was preferred as the best way to reduce sodium in ready-to-eat foods. With regard to sodium reduction in readyto- eat foods, we found that the technical factors involved were clustered by the type of business. Specifically, distributors showed a similar performance but had a lower perception of importance than retailers. Manufacturers had a lower perception of both importance and performance. In this study, we collected perceptions from employees who were working at food companies, which differed from previous research. We sought to examine the differences in the perception of sodium reduction and consumption of ready-to-eat foods across various types of employment. Furthermore, we provided specific approaches to reduce perception gaps and enhance understanding among employees.

        Porous carbons are considered promising for CO2 capture due to their high-pressure capture performance, high chemical/ thermal stability, and low humidity sensitivity. But, their low-pressure capture performance, selectivity toward CO2 over N2, and adsorption kinetics need further improvement for practical applications. Herein, we report a novel dual-templating strategy based on molten salts (LiBr/KBr) and hydrogen-bonded triazine molecules (melamine–cyanuric acid complex, MCA) to prepare high-performance porous carbon adsorbents for low-pressure CO2. The comprehensive investigations of pore structure, microstructure, and chemical structure, as well as their correlation with CO2 capture performance, reveal that the dual template plays the role of porogen for multi-hierarchical porous structure based on supermicro-/micro-/meso-/ macro-pores and reactant for high N/O insertion into the carbon framework. Furthermore, they exert a synergistic but independent effect on the carbonization procedure of glucose, avoiding the counter-balance between porous structure and hetero-atom insertion. This enables the preferred formation of pyrrolic N/carboxylic acid functional groups and supermicropores of ~ 0.8 nm, while retaining the micro-/meso-/macro-pores (> 1 nm) more than 60% of the total pore volume. As a result, the dual-templated porous carbon adsorbent (MG-Br-600) simultaneously achieves a high CO2 capture capacity of 3.95 mmol g− 1 at 850 Torr and 0 °C, a CO2/ N2 (15:85) selectivity factor of 31 at 0 °C, and a high intra-particle diffusivity of 0.23 mmol g− 1 min− 0.5 without performance degradation over repeated use. With the molecular scale structure tunability and the large-scale production capability, the dual-templating strategy will offer versatile tools for designing high-performance carbon-based adsorbents for CO2 capture.

        Support for nuclear power plant (NPP) dismantling & decommissioing (D&D) industry is necessary through development of the infrastructure and the D&D technology. Because KORI#1 and Wolsong#1 is planned to decommission until around 2030. Korea research institute of decommissioing (KRID) was established through the preliminary feasibility study. KRID has plan to support nuclear companies to join D&D industry. Normal facilities (Lv.1) of KRID infracstucture are currently being constructed and radiation management facilities (Lv.2) construction is expected to begin in October. Further, KRID is planning the construction of equipment to develop the procedure for radionuclide analysis through R&D project. A total period of the R&D project is 45 months, and the total R&D funding for this period is 19.4 billion won. The ultimate goal of the R&D project is to build the infractstucture base to analyze decommissioning radioactive wastes. Furthermore, the R&D project is important to reliably perform the NPP D&D.

        The acoustic emission (AE) method as a passive non-destructive monitoring technique is proposed for real-time monitoring of mechanical degradation in underground structures, such as deep geological disposal of high-level nuclear waste (HLW). This study investigates the low-frequency characteristics of AE signals emitted during the fracturing of meter-scale concrete specimens; uniaxial compression tests (UCT) in a lab scale and Goodman jack (GJ) tests in a 1.3 m-long concrete block were conducted while acquiring the AE signals using low-frequency AE sensors. The results indicate a sharp increase in AE energy emission at approximately 60% and 80% of the yield stresses in the UCT and GJ tests, respectively. The collected AE signals were primarily found in two frequency bands: the 4-28 kHz range and the 56-80 kHz range. High-frequency AE signals were captured more as the stress increased in the GJ tests, which was in contrast to the UCT tests. Furthermore, the AE signals obtained from the Goodman jack tests tended to lower RA values than the UCT results. This study presents unique experimental data with low-frequency AE sensors under different loading conditions, which provides insights into field-scale AE monitoring practices.

        In the process of spent fuel dry storage, which is an intermediate management method, it was found that hydrides in the circumferential direction rearranged into radial hydrides. Various factors, such as hoop stress, peak temperature, cooling rate during the storage period, and hydrogen concentration accumulated during the burnup process, significantly affect the susceptibility of spent fuel cladding. In recent studies based on the hydrogen solubility value of about 210 ppm corresponding to the peak temperature of 400°C, if the threshold stress decreases as the hydrogen concentration increases in the low hydrogen range under 210 ppm, the threshold stress increases as the hydrogen concentration increases in the low hydrogen range under 210 ppm. The fundamental cause of this trend is the diffusion of hydrogen into the high-stress region due to the stress gradient formed in the specimen, and hydrogen compounds which remain undissolved in the circumferential direction, even at the peak temperature, play a crucial role to determine the magnitude of the threshold stress. This study evaluated the behavior of hydride reorientation under various hoop stress conditions (70, 80, 90, and 110 MPa) using unirradiated Zircaloy-4(CWSRA) cladding tubes under long-term cooling conditions (3, 6, and 12 months). The results of analyzing the offset strain by hydrogen concentration for long-term cooling showed that specimens with low hydrogen concentration exhibited higher integrity than specimens with high hydrogen concentration at hoop stresses of 90 and 110 MPa. The HR test using irradiated fuel cladding showed that specimens with low hydrogen concentrations exhibited relatively higher susceptibility. To quantify these results, it is necessary to research further in detail by repeated tests.

        Background: The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model, created by the World Health Organization, provides a theoretical framework that can be applied in the diagnosis and treatment of various disorders. Objects: Our research purposed to ascertain the relationship between structure/function, activity, and participation domain variables of the ICF and pain, pain-associated disability, activities of daily living (ADL), and quality of life in patients with chronic low back pain (LBP). Methods: Two-hundred patients with chronic LBP (mean age: 35.5 ± 8.8 years, females, n = 40) were recruited from hospital and community settings. We evaluated the body structure/ function domain variable using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) and Roland–Morris disability (RMD) questionnaire. To evaluate the activity domain variable, we used the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and Quebec Back Pain Disability Scale (QBDS). For clinical outcome measures, we used Short-form 12 (SF-12). Pearson’s correlation coefficient was used to ascertain the relationships among the variables (p < 0.05). All the participants with LBP received 30 minutes of conventional physical therapy 3 days/week for 4 weeks. Results: There were significant correlations between the body structure/function domain (NPRS and RMD questionnaire), activity domain (ODI and QBDS), and participation domain variables (SF-12), rending from pre-intervention (r = –0.723 to 0.783) and postintervention (r = –0.742 to 0.757, p < 0.05). Conclusion: The identification of a significant difference between these domain variables point to important relationships between pain, disability, performance of ADL, and quality in participants with LBP.

        With the development of drone technology, drones are being used in various industries. In general, drones use lithium-based battery pack, which is sensitive to external impact and temperature characteristics. Therefore, in order to prevent this problem, a battery case for protecting the battery from the outside is used. Usually, carbon fiber is used as case material, carbon fiber is expensive and has disadvantages of being difficult to manufacture. In this study, a battery case was fabricated to minimize the influence of external impact and temperature by using expanded polypropylene material, and also the battery efficiency test was performed using fabricated case. After basic design for battery case was conducted, a system capable of maintaining temperature was constructed by attaching a surface heating element inside the case, and the effect of maintaining temperature according to the presence or absence of the case was confirmed. Using manufactured prototype case, flight tests were carried out to check the battery voltage level according to the presence or absence of the case and to analyze the effect of improving the battery efficiency for the flight time of the drone.

        본 연구는 농식품 소비자패널을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 소비자의 소비성향에 따른 저탄소인증농산물의 소비행태를 살펴본다. 소비자의 소비성향을 윤리적 소비성향과 합리적 소비성향으로 구분하여 집단을 구성하였고, 집단 간 소비행태 차이를 분석하였다. 윤리적 소비성향 집단과 합리적 소비성향 집단 간에 저탄소 농산물 인증제의 인지도, 탄소발생 감소를 위한 노력, 탄소중립 개념 인지도 및 저탄소인증농산물에 대한 구매의도 는 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 저탄소인증농산물의 소비활성화를 위해서 합리적 소비성향을 가진 소비자들의 저탄소인증농산물 구매를 유도할 수 있는 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다.

        본 연구는 한국의 고질적인 사회문제로 되는 저출산 현상의 대안을 제 시하는데, 그 목적이 있다. 미래 적 소유잠재성의 시각에서 출산으로 인 해 국가, 개인, 기업이 얻을 수 있는 것과 상실하게 되는 것들을 파악하 고, 이를 보완할 수 있는 대안을 제시한다. 국가에게 저출산의 지속은 생 존을 위협하며, 자기보존을 어렵게 한다. 출산은 국가의 생존과 관련한 문제로 볼 수 있다. 반면에 오늘날 개인에게 출산과 양육은 자산의 감소 는 물론 현재의 일자리를 위협한다. 저출산의 해결방안은 미래 세대 츨 생을 개인의 상속재산 지분과 연계하며, 국가지원금과 합의된 평균자녀 수와 평균자녀수 분포와 연계하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 차세대 국가를 이끌어갈 미래 세대 존재를 개인 상속재산과 국가의 예산 및 지원금과 연계하여 저출산의 대안을 제시하였다.
