        Prestressed Concrete Containment Vessels(PCCV)는 중대사고 발생 시 방사능 누출을 막기 위한 최 후의 방벽이며 체르노빌 및 스리마일 섬 원전 사고 이후 PCCV의 내압성능에 대한 관심이 높아졌다. PCCV는 장비반입 및 작업자 출입 등을 위한 다양한 관통부가 존재한다. 이러한 관통부로 인해 PCCV는 비축대칭적인 변형을 보이며 관통부는 취약부위로 고려된다. 하지만 관통부의 거동은 전체모 델에서 정확히 모사할 수 없다. 따라서 PCCV의 내압성능 평가를 위한 규제지침인 Reguratory Guide(RG) 1.216은 관통부에 대한 내압성능 평가를 위해 상세국부모델을 작성하여 평가하도록 권고하고 있다. 하 지만 대부분의 국부모델을 이용한 PCCV의 내압성능 평가와 관련된 선행연구는 전체모델을 이용하여 관통부의 응답을 관측하고 보정인자를 사용하여 수행되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 내압을 받는 1:4 scale PCCV의 관통부에 대한 거동 분석과 내압성능 평가를 위해 관통부의 상세 국부 유한요소 모델을 구축 하였다. 미국의 Sandia National Laboratory의 실험적 연구 결과와 비교하여 구축된 모델을 검증하였 으며 관통부의 내압거동을 분석하였다.

        격납건물은 원자력 발전소의 중대 사고 발생시 방사성 물질의 외부 방출을 막는 심층 방어 체계 중 마지막 방벽이다. 중대사고 발생시 격납건물 내부에선 노심 융해와 수소 발생으로 인한 내압 상승과 증기 폭발로 인한 구조적 손상이 일어나며, 이에 대한 구조적 건전성을 평가하기 위해 격납건물에 대 한 극한 내압 성능 평가를 실시한다. 극한 내압 성능 평가 방법 중 확률론적 평가시 현실적인 제약으 로 인해 고신뢰도 유한요소해석 모델을 이용하며 이때에 불확실성 인자들의 확률 분포 특성을 고려한 데이터 셋을 샘플링 기법을 이용하여 구성한 후 비선형 해석을 실시한다. 도출된 비선형 해석 결과는 취약도 곡선을 도출에 사용되며, 취약도 곡선을 이용하여 확률론적인 평가가 실시된다. 샘플링 기법에 따라 적절한 표본 크기가 아닌 데이터셋을 구성하게 되면 통계적 불확실성으로 인한 취약성 분석의 오차가 증대된다. 하지만 유한요소해석시 발생하는 막대한 계산 비용으로 인하여 기존의 방식은 적절 한 샘플링 크기 선정 및 부적절한 샘플링 크기 선정으로 인한 확률론적인 성능평가에 대한 영향에 대 한 정량화 및 평가를 제한적으로 수행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 격납건물의 재료적 특성 및 내압 으로 인한 변위 데이터를 기반으로 생성한 인공신경망 모델을 통해 유한요소 해석에 대한 대리모델을 생성한다. 이후 생성한 대리모델을 기반으로 일반적인 불확실성 분포 샘플링에 사용되는 Monte Carlo method, latin hypercube sampling, Sobol sequence을 이용하여 표본 크기에 따른 격납건물 확률론적 인 극한내압성능 평가에 대한 영향을 정량화 및 평가를 실시하겠다. 이를 통해 제한적으로 탐색되었던 불확실성 공간에 대하여, 그 통계적 불확실성 및 전방위적인 탐색이 가능해 질것으로 기대한다.

        본 연구는 북한이탈여성 노인의 성공적 노화 척도개발과 신뢰도, 타당 도를 검증하기 위한 연구이다. 연구자는 북한이탈여성 노인 20명을 심층 면담하여 구성요소를 설정했다. 포커스 그룹을 걸쳐 북한이탈여성 노인 의 성공적 노화 척도 예비문항을 개발했다. 이러한 작업을 수행한 후 문 항분석, 상관관계 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증했다. 연구결과 4요인 모델, 5요인 모델, 6요인 모델 모두 적합도 검증 결과 판정기준을 만족하는 것으로 분석했 다. 적합도 지수가 높게 나타난 6요인 모델을 최종적으로 선정했다. 연 구결과에 근거하여 북한이탈여성 노인에게 특징적으로 나타난 죽음인식, 자기성장, 모호한 상실 속에서의 가족 애착 등에 대한 논의를 했다.

        In the summer of 2018, the Korea-Japan (KJ) region experienced an extremely severe and prolonged heatwave. This study examines the GloSea6 model's prediction performance for the 2018 KJ heatwave event and investigates how its prediction skill is related to large-scale circulation patterns identified by the k-means clustering method. Cluster 1 pattern is characterized by a KJ high-pressure anomaly, Cluster 2 pattern is distinguished by an Eastern European highpressure anomaly, and Cluster 3 pattern is associated with a Pacific-Japan pattern-like anomaly. By analyzing the spatial correlation coefficients between these three identified circulation patterns and GloSea6 predictions, we assessed the contribution of each circulation pattern to the heatwave lifecycle. Our results show that the Eastern European highpressure pattern, in particular, plays a significant role in predicting the evolution of the development and peak phases of the 2018 KJ heatwave approximately two weeks in advance. Furthermore, this study suggests that an accurate representation of large-scale atmospheric circulations in upstream regions is a key factor in seasonal forecast models for improving the predictability of extreme weather events, such as the 2018 KJ heatwave.

        고분자 분리막의 대표적인 형태 중 하나인 평판형 분리막은 제조가 용이하여 실험실에서 분리막 소재 연구에서부 터 실제 상용 분리막 생산에 이르기까지 널리 활용되는 분리막의 형태이다. 정밀여과 및 한외여과 등에 사용되는 평판형의 다공성 고분자 분리막은 주로 상분리 공정을 통해 제조할 수 있으며, 여기에는 비용매 유도 및 증기 유도 상분리 공정이 활 용된다. 그러나 상분리 공정 특성상 주변 환경과 실험자에 따라 샘플 간 편차가 쉽게 발생하여 재현성의 확보가 어려운 점이 있다. 따라서 개발된 제조기술을 스케일업 및 재현성 확보를 위해 제어된 환경에서 연속식 대면적 제조가 가능한 롤투롤 제 조장치가 필요하며, 본 연구에서는 실험실 스케일의 제조기술을 나이프 및 슬롯다이 롤투롤 공정으로 스케일 업 했을 때 나 타나는 제조 환경 차이에 따른 분리막의 특성 변화를 비교하였다. 최종적으로 연속식 제조공정 인자에 대한 최적화를 통해 대면적 제조 시 분리막의 균일성을 확보하였다.

        Wastewater management is increasingly emphasizing economic and environmental sustainability. Traditional methods in sewage treatment plants have significant implications for the environment and the economy due to power and chemical consumption, and sludge generation. To address these challenges, a study was conducted to develop the Intermittent Cycle Extended Aeration System (ICEAS). This approach was implemented as the primary technique in a full-scale wastewater treatment facility, utilizing key operational factors within the standard Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process. The optimal operational approach, identified in this study, was put into practice at the research facility from January 2020 to December 2022. By implementing management strategies within the biological reactor, it was shown that maintaining and reducing chemical quantities, sludge generation, power consumption, and related costs could yield economic benefits. Moreover, adapting operations to influent characteristics and seasonal conditions allowed for efficient blower operation, reducing unnecessary electricity consumption and ensuring proper dissolved oxygen levels. Despite annual increases in influent flow rate and concentration, this study demonstrated the ability to maintain and reduce sludge production, electricity consumption, and chemical usage. Additionally, systematic responses to emergencies and abnormal situations significantly contributed to economic, technical, and environmental benefits.

        This study aimed to develop the Traumatic Event Experience Scale in Perioperative Nurses (TEE-PON) and assess its validity and reliability. The TEE-PON underwent two distinct phases: scale development and scale evaluation. In the scale development phase, an initial set of 26 preliminary items was formulated through a comprehensive literature review and a focus group interview. Content validity was assessed by six experts, resulting in a refined total of 16 items after eliminating 10 items and modifying six others. In the scale evaluation phase, a survey was administered to 109 perioperative nurses. Following item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, the final scale emerged with four distinct factors encompassing 15 items. These factors were identified as ‘Conflict and violence in interpersonal relationships,’ ‘The death of a patient,’ ‘Witnessing the patient’s damaged body,’ and ‘Limitations of the work environment’. Correlation analysis between these sub-factors and post-traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and job satisfaction confirmed the concurrent validity of the scale. The Cronbach’s α for the internal consistency of the finalized scale was 0.89, with sub-scales exhibiting values ranging from 0.69 to 0.87. The TEE-PON can be used as a valuable tool for assessing traumatic events experienced by perioperative nurses. Additionally, it can contribute to the development of intervention programs aimed at preventing post-traumatic stress disorder and compassion fatigue while concurrently enhancing job satisfaction.

To verify the presented PCS, an actual lab-scale tidal power generation system was constructed. The operation of the lab-scale PCS was first modeled mathematically and was analyzed through dynamic simulation and experimental tests.

        Concerning the apprehensions about naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) residues, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its member nations have acknowledged the imperative to ensure the radiation safety of NORM industries. Residues with elevated radioactivity concentrations are predominantly produced during NORM processing, in the form of scale and sludge, referred to as technically enhanced NORM (TENORM). Substantial quantities of TENORM residues have been released externally due to the dismantling of NORM processing factories. These residues become concentrated and fixed in scale inside scrap pipes. To assess the radioactivity of scales in pipes of various shapes, a Monte Carlo simulation was employed to determine dose rates corresponding to the action level in TENORM regulations for different pipe diameters and thicknesses. Onsite gamma spectrometry was conducted on a scrap iron pipe from the titanium dioxide manufacturing factory. The measured dose rate on the pipe enabled the estimation of NORM concentration in the pipe scale onsite. The derived action level in dose rate can be applied in the NORM regulation procedure for on-site judgments.

        The economy of Tanzania relies on agriculture as the main economic activity, because agriculture provides both food and income to the population of the country, especially the rural households. Improvement of market access to crops also increases the productivity. Therefore, in this study, descriptive statistics and statistical analysis of the probit model were used to analyze the factors that determine the market accessibility of small-scale farmers in Chemba, Tanzania. Cross-sectional data collected by the systematic sampling method for 200 corn peasants in Chemba, Tanzania were used. As a result of probit regression analysis, it was found that access to improved seeds and technology had a positive statistically significant effect on the accessibility to the market, while the age of the head of the household, production cost, distance to the market, and household size had a negative statistically significant effect. Therefore, in this study, policy establishment and implementation are recommended. A policy needs to be considered to reduce the transaction costs that eventually allows the farmers to increase the accessibility to markets, enables small-scale farmers to participate in cooperatives, lowers input costs and provides educational programs on quality products to increase their competitiveness in the marketplace.

        In this study, the performances of H2S, NH3, and HCl sensors for real-time monitoring in small emission facilities (4, 5 grades in Korea) were evaluated at high concentration conditions of those gases. And the proper approach for the collection of reliable measurement data by sensors was suggested through finding out the effect on sensor performances according to changes in temperature and humidity (relative humidity, RH) settings. In addition, an assessment on sensor data correction considering the effects produced by environmental settings was conducted. The effects were tested in four different conditions of temperature and humidity. The sensor performances (reproducibility, precision, lower detection limit (LDL), and linearity) were good for all three sensors. The intercept (ADC0) values for all three sensors were good for the changes of temperature and humidity conditions. The variation in the slope value of the NH3 sensor showed the highest value, and this was followed by the HCl, H2S sensors. The results of this study can be helpful for data collection by enabling the more reliable and precise measurements of concentrations measured by sensors.

        Membrane bioreactor (MBR) provides the benefits on high effluent quality and construction cost without the secondary clarification. Despite of these advantages, fouling, which clogs the pore in membrane modules, affects the membrane life span and effluent quality. Studies on the laboratory scale MBR were focused on the control of particulate fouling, organic fouling and inorganic fouling. However, less studies were focused on the control of biofouling and microbial aspect of membrane. In the full scale operation, most MBR produces high effluent quality to meet the national permit of discharge regulation. In this study, the performance and microbial community analysis were investigated in two MBRs. As the results, the performance of organic removal, nitrogen removal, and phosphorus removal was similar both MBRs. Microbial community analysis, however, showed that Azonexus sp. and Propionivibrio sp. contributed to indirect fouling to cause the chemical cleaning in the DX MBR.
