        The objective of this study was to determine the effects of E. coli on boar sperm quality and reproductive performance in sows after artificial insemination. Three different levels of E. coli were artificially inoculated to semen with following concentrations; Control, 500, 5,000 and 50,000 colony forming unit (cfu)/ml. Semen samples were preserved at 17℃ for 5 days. Sperm motility was significantly decreased (p<0.05) on day 3 in the group inoculated with 5,000cfu/ml compared to control groups. In all treatment groups, sperm motility was gradually decreased as storage time increased, but the decline pattern was more drastic in the groups inoculated with 5,000 and 50,000 cfu/ml groups from day 3 (p<0.05) compared to control group. After 3 day of storage at 17℃, sperm viability in sample inoculated with the highest concentration (50,000 cfu/ml) of bacteria was less (p<0.05) than that of control group. The pH of semen sample pH was maintained 7.2~7.5 in all groups during the experimental period. No differences (p>0.05) were found for both storage time and bacterial concentration. The pregnancy rate and live born piglets tend to decrease by increasing the concentration of E. coli in semen. In particular, the rate of pregnancy was lower in the group inoculated with 50,000 cfu/ml (58.3%) compare to the other groups (81.8, 75.0, 76.5%). These results suggest that the contamination of E. coli in boar semen negatively affects fertilizing ability of boar sperm and the reproductive performance obtained from sows after artificial insemination.

        본 연구는 산국 생균제가 비육후기 거세한우의 성장율과 육질에 미치는 효과를 조사하기 실시하였다. 거세한우 15두(565±17kg)를 시험구별 개시체중이 유사하도록 산국 생균제 무첨가구(CON), 농후사료의 0.2% 첨가구(LCB) 및 0.4% 첨가구(HCB)에 각 5두씩을 배치하고 150일간 사양시험을 실시하였다. 농후사료와 조사료를 8:2의 비율로 설정하고 생체중의 약 2.5%를 오전(8시)과 오후(5시)로 나누어 급여하였다. 미네랄 블록과 음수는 자유로이 섭취할 수 있도록 하였다. 사양시험 종료 후에는 모든 공시동물은 도축하여 도체특성을 조사하고 등심육을 채취하여 육질분석에 이용하였다. 개시체중과 종료체중은 처리구간 차이가 없었으나, 일당증체량, 사료섭취량 및 사료효율은 산국 생균제를 급여한 모든 시험구에서 대조구에 비해 개선되었다(p<0.05). 분 중 황화수소와 암모니아 가스는 시험구간 차이가 없었다. 신선육 관능평가에서 등심육의 육색은 산국 생균제를 급여한 시험구가 개선되었으나(p<0.05), 등심육의 물리화학적 특성과 기타 신선육 관능평가는 시험구간 차이가 없었다. 등심육의 지방산 조성은 산국 생균제를 급여한 시험구에서 C14:0과 C18:0 함량이 증가하였으며(p<0.05), HCB 시험구에서 C18:2n-6와 polyunsaturated fatty acid 함량은 HCB 시험구에서 가장 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 따라서 비육후기 거세한우에 산국 생균제를 0.4% 수준으로 급여하는 것은 사료효율 개선, 육색 및 등심육 지방산 품질개선에 유리할 것으로 사료된다.

        This study was carried out investigate the effects of dietary addition of mineral and sugar on the dry matter intake, daily gain, yield grade and quality grade of Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae) steers. Three diets fed to steers included a control diet (concentrate mix and rice straw : C) and two treatments diet (control diet + black sugar 100 g + mineral 100 g : T1, and control diet + black sugar 150 g + mineral 50 g : T2). The results are summarized as follows; total feeding intake, body weight gain and daily gain did not show significant differences among the three treatments. Cold carcass weight was significantly (p<0.05) higher in T2 than in the other two treatments (C and T1). There was no significant difference in yield traits of back fat thickness, longissimus muscle area and yield grade among the three treatments (C, T1 and T2). Marbling score showed significantly (p<0.05) higher in order of T2 (5.67) > T1 (4.67) > C (3.67). Meat color, fat color, texture and maturity were no significant difference. Quality grade was higher in T2 than in the other two treatments (C and T1), but there was no significant difference. The results show that marbling score and quality grade of Hanwoo can be increased by high dry matter intake with feeding addition of mineral and sugar.

        Even in the business-to-business(B2B) markets, service quality is becoming very important factor which determines success or failure of the long-term business relationship. Considering that most previous researches about service quality were conducted in the business-to-consumer (B2C) area, this study conceptualizes the various quality aspects of service that are considered in B2B market and proposes B-SERVQUAL which is the detailed quality measurement scale of B2B service. Our study aims to reveal how such recognized service quality influences on realizing the relationship between the customer and the supplier. We began this research with two main objectives: (1) develop the service quality scale to facilitate assessments of B2B service quality and (2) investigate the structural model which deals with the relation between the service quality and business relationship performance. Service quality has a positive effect on relationship bonding, indicating that the superior service quality of service providers leads relationship bonding with buyers. Five dimensions considered in this study bring not only structural bond but also the social bond that refers to the emotional bonding. Especially, we assumed that the empathy quality, a human factor in service quality, plays an important role in binding sellers and buyers personally and emotionally. Technical quality and the process quality related to service delivery are closely associated with the technical level of the service provided, so the service quality structurally binds the relationship between companies. In addition, service quality has a greater effect on structural bond than social bond, which implies that service quality is emphasized as core elements that bring economic, strategic, technical, and organizational benefits in B2B trading rather than be seen as a catalyst to accelerate trading or supplementary elements to the products. Structural bond in relationship bonding is an antecedent of social bond. Relationship bonding has been studied in 2 categories traditionally. This study could identify a casual relation between them. The findings from the study demonstrate that the structural bond is developed when clear economic and managerial advantages exist for buyers, and then the social bond is formed based upon this. In other words, structural bond is a positive predictor of social bond or emotional bond. As suggested earlier, service quality has a greater effect on structural bond than social bond, which supports a structural casual relation in which the structural bond is accomplished first through service and then, based upon this, social bond is accomplished. Commitment appeared to be an important factor that has a positive effect on relationship performance, which demonstrates the experience and the reduction of management cost through commitment is the antecedent that brings the relationship performance which is defined as the degree of the effectiveness and efficiency from mutual organization exchange activities. Managerial implications and limitations of the study were also discussed in detail.

        발효 새송이버섯 균사체(FPEM)의 사료 내 첨가급여 효과를 검토하기 위하여 산란계(ISA Brown) 16수를 4개 그룹으로 나누어 대조구는 기초사료(C)만 급여하였고, 시험구는 기초사료에 FPEM 1%(T1), 3%(T2) 및 5%(T3)로 하여 8주 동안 사료 내 첨가하였다. FPEM을 산란계의 사료 내 첨가한 결과 1%에서 산란율이 감소한 것을 확인할 수 있었으나(p<0.05), 계란 무게는 FPEM 모든 첨가구에서 대조구와 비교하여 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 결과적으로 계란 생산량과 사료섭취량에서 대조구와의 차이가 나타나지 않아서 사료요구율 또한 대조구와 유의한 영향을 주지 않았다. 하지만 대체적으로 FPEM 5% 수준인 T3에서 계란 생산량 증가와 사료요구율 감소의 경향을 나타내었다. 계란의 품질의 경우 FPEM 1%에서 난백고와 난각중이 대조구에 비해 유의하게 증가하였으며(p<0.05), FPEM 5%에서는 계란의 외부 품질인 난각중과 난각두께 모두 대조구에 비해 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 하지만 난황색, 육반과 혈반 그리고 계란의 저장성의 경우에는 처리간 차이를 보이지 않았다. 난황 내 지방산 조성의 경우 FPEM 첨가에 의해 불포화지방산과 다가 불포화지방산 중 n-3지방산의 비율이 높아졌으며(p<0.05), FPEM 5%는 다른 처리구보다 초기 계분의 가스 발생량을 유의하게 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 결과적으로 산란계 사료 내 FPEM 5%첨가는 계란 생산과 품질뿐만 아니라, 환경 개선 효과도 있는 것으로 밝혀져 항생제를 대체할 수 있는 산란계 사료 첨가제로 기대된다.

        The nutritional quality of host plant is critically important for insect herbivores to maximize their fitness, but it is relatively unexplored whether the ingestion of a specific host plant will have the same effects on insects under different thermal conditions. We have used a multi-factorial experimental design to investigate how the nutritional quality of host plant and temperature interact to affect life-history traits in a generalist caterpillar Hyphantria cunea (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae) feeding on five different host plants. Caterpillars raised on Platanus occidentalis, Sophora japonica and Prunus x yedoensis exhibited substantially higher survival, faster growth and heavier mass at pupation than those on Cornus kousa and Betula platyphylla. Caterpillars developed more quickly and attained a smaller final body mass at higher temperatures, but the way that these traits responded to temperature differed by host plant. Caterpillars on P.occidentalis displayed a monotonic decrease in development time with increasing temperature, but the development time of those on P. x yedoensis declined with temperature in a biphasic manner. Furthermore, the rate at which pupal mass increased with decreasing temperature was much greater for caterpillars on P.occidentalis than those on P. x yedoensis.

        IPTV 서비스가 미래의 방송시장을 주도하고 안정적으로 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 다수의 사용자에게 망 자원이 공유되며 비 연결형, best-effort 서 비스를 제공하는 IP 기반 네트워크에서 효과적인 품질관리가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연 구에서는 실시간으로 IPTV 서비스의 객관적인 품질 측정을 위해서 윈도우 플랫폼을 기반으로 실시간 방송 스트리밍 서비스의 품질을 측정하기 위한 소프트웨어를 구현하 였다. 또한 품질평가에 대한 객관성과 정확성을 검증하기 위해 영상, 음성 스트림의 품질 측정을 위한 표준문서를 참고하여 네트워크 기반 품질지표를 선정하고 상용 계 측장비와 성능을 비교하였다 . 구현된 품질측정 소프트웨어의 성능은 상용 계측장비의 측정 결과와 비교하여 정확한 품질측정 성능을 보였고 상용 계측장비를 대체할 수 있 음을 검증할 수 있었다.

        본 연구는 고온미생물인 Bacillus coagulans를 이용하여 발효시킨 탈피대두박(fermented soybean meal; FS)을 어분대체 단백질원으로서 10%, 20% 및 30% 수준별로 첨가한 배합사료를 급여하여 넙치의 성장 및 육질에 미치는 영향을 비교 조사하였다. 사육실험은 평균체중 123 g의 넙치를 원형수조에 50마리씩 실험구별로 3반복으로 수용하면서, 대조 배합사료(control)와 실험배합사료(FS10, FS20, FS30)를 8주간 사육하였다. 수분과 조단백질 함량은 대조 배합사료를 공급한 넙치의 등근육과 실험 배합사료를 공급한 넙치의 등근육에서 유의적한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 조지방 함량은 실험배합사료 FS20, FS30을 공급한 넙치 등근육에서 유의적으로 높은 값을 나타내었다. 18:2n-6의 함량은 실험배합사료 FS10, FS20, FS30을 공급한 넙치 등근육에서 대조 배합사료를 공급한 넙치 등근육보다 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 모든 시험구에서 넙치 등근육의 유리아미노산 중 taurine, leucine, alanine, lysine이 공통적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었고, 공급한 사료에 따라 넙치 등근육의 유리아미노산에는 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 핵산관련물질 중 AMP의 함량은, FS20 및 FS30을 공급한 넙치 등근육에서 대조 배합사료를 공급한 것보다 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로부터, 본 실험 사료조성으로 넙치 치어를 사육하였을 때 어분대체 단백질원으로서 발효대두박을 어분 단백질 함량기준으로 30%까지 대체 가능할 것으로 생각되었다.

        This paper analyzed the management quality activities and performance based on industrial types. We divided the business into four industrial types, manufacturing industry, service industry, medical institution and public enterprise. We analyzed the differences of the elements of management quality in industrial types. The results show that leadership, measurement, analysis and knowledge management and workforce focus categories are not significant and strategic planning, customer and market focus, process management and performance categories are significant. This paper proposes the directions of management quality activities and performance according to industrial types based on these results.

        The purpose of this study is to introduce the limit of previously used six sigma quality process evaluation metrics, Zst and Ppk, and a solution to overcome this drawback by using a metric based on performance evaluation of Z-factor quality innovation. Case analysis on projects from national six sigma contest from 2011 to 2012 is performed and literature review on new drug development HTS (High Throughput Screening) is used to propose innovative performance evaluation metrics. This research shows that experimental study on six sigma evaluation metric, Zst and Ppk, have no significance difference between industrial type (Manufacturing, Semi-Public Institute, Public Institute) and CTQ type (Product Technology Type CTQ, Process Technology Type CTQ). Following discovery characterize this quality improvement as fixed target type project. As newly developed moving target type of quality innovation performance metric Z-Factor is used for evaluating experimental study, hypothetical analysis suggests that Zst and Ppk share different relationship or even show reciprocal relationship. Constraints of the study are relatively small sample size of only 37 projects from past 2 years and conflict on having interview and communication with six sigma quality practitioner for qualitative experimental study. Both moving target type six sigma innovation project and fixed target type improvement project or quality circle enables efficient ways for a better understanding and quality practitioner use by applying quality innovation performance metric. Downside of fixed target type quality performance evaluation metric, Zst and Ppk, is presented through experimental study. In contrast, advantage of this study is that high throughput requiring product technology, process technology and quantum leap typed innovation effect is evaluated based on precision and accuracy and Z-Factor that enables relative comparison between enterprises is proposed and implemented.

        This study was conducted to investigate effects of dietary anthocyanin fortified barley (AFB) or whole crop barley (WCB) on growing performance, meat quality and blood properties in swine at late fattening phase. Swine performance was not significantly differed (p>0.05) but average daily gain and average daily feed intake tended to increase in treatments. Meat quality parameters including pH, cooking loss, shear force and meat surface color were not influenced by the addition of barley in diet. However, DPPH content of longgissmus dorsi muscle was significantly increased in WCB10 compared to control, AFB5 and WCB5 (p<0.05). FRAP content of longgissmus dorsi muslce was higher in WCB5 than the AFB (p<0.05), thereby, a tendency in FRAP was not similar to that of DPPH. Only myristic acid (C14:0) was affected, and the lowest myristic acid was found when AFB was supplied to swine. A tendency was not determined in total protein and HDL-cholesterol content, however, control, WCB10 and AFB5 had high in total protein and showed significantly low values in HDL-cholesterol. Therefore, the results indicate that barley can be considered as an ingredient in swine diet, but further investigation is necessary.

        The purpose of this study was to lay emphasis on the importance of a restaurateur's role and qualities as well as to provide the restaurateur information necessary to effectively run a restaurant. To address the purpose, this study analyzed the qualities of a restaurateur and determined the influence they have on the business results, via conducting a survey with 117 restaurateurs from June 11th to June 26th 2011. In summary, male restaurateurs were higher in the vision directivity, desire to learn, accomplishment, challenge and pro-activity than their female counterparts, with a significant difference of p<0.05. According to their ages, the surveyees showed significant differences in the vision directivity (p<0.05), desire to learn (p<0.01), challenge (p<0.01) and pro-activity (p<0.01). In addition, also the survey revealed that the qualities of a restaurateur had a significant influence on financial performance, a sense of satisfaction and business results (p<0.001). The questionnaire resulted in the following: first, the vision directivity (p<0.05) and the challenge (p<0.05) affected the financial performance; second, the challenge had influence on the sense of satisfaction; and last, the vision directivity (p<0.05) and the challenge (p<0.05) had an effect on the business results. Thus, the study concluded that restaurateurs need two qualities: (i) the vision directivity in order to meet their goals and to have a higher business results and (ii) the challenge to try new managing methods in order to cope with the ever-changing environment.

        Single PPM Quality Innovation Program is to pursuit of defects below 10ppm in outgoing quality for strengthen the small and medium enterprise's competitiveness. This study aims to find that whether quality innovation promotion is significant or not in the ISO 9001 certification enterprises. To perform this research, we surveyed CEOs, managers and workers working for manufacturing business, we distributed 250 sheets totally and withdrew 171 sheets.         This paper deals with an empirical analysis of the structural relationship among the factors such as quality management activities, organizational learning and firm performance of manufacturing corporations. The findings of the analysis are expected to make lots of contribution to manufacturing corporations establishing strategies for quality management activities and organizational learning. From the analysis, following conclusions and suggestions could be drawn: First, an analysis of the relationship between quality management activities and organizational learning showed that most activities of quality management turned out to exercise great influence upon the factors of organizational learning. This means that the activities of quality management will prompt the members of an organization to actively engage in learning activities individually, by team and organizationally, motivating them to spread such activities across the whole organization, leading ultimately to fundamental renovation of the very organization. Second, from an analysis of the relationship between organizational learning and firm performance, that is, financial and non-financial performances of a company, it was found that most factors of organizational learning have tremendous impact upon financial and non-financial performances of the company. Such result implies that decision and management of the things to be performed in the process of organizational performances are essential to determining firm performance because firm performance depend largely on the outcomes of organizational learning.

        본 연구에서는 양질 조사료의 급여가 한우비육우의 사양성적, 육생산성 및 육질에 미치는 효과를 메타분석기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 효과분석은 국내에서 수행된 논문들을 대상으로 총 5편의 연구논문들을 인용하였다. 양질조사료를 급여한 시험구를 처리구로 하고 볏짚을 급여한 시험구를 대조구로하여 처리구 결과와 대조구 결과의 평균차를 이용하여 효과의크기를 분석하였고, 요약효과는 임의효과모형을 이용하여 산출하였다. 그 결과, 사양성적에대한 정의효과는 사료섭취량, 일당증체량, 종료체중 및 사료효율 모두에서 나타났으며, 유의성은 일당 증체량에서만 발견되었다. 육생산량에 대한 정의효과는 도체중, 배측최장근 면적및 생산성 지수에서 나타났고, 등지방두께에서는 부의효과가 나타났다. 유의성은 도체중과배최장근 면적에서만 나타났다. 육질에 대한정의효과는 marbling score와 지방색에서 정의효과가 나타났으며, 육색은 부의효과가 나타났으나 유의적 효과는 발견되지 않았다.
