        The spent fuels derived from the nuclear reactor facilities may be finally disposed in a deep underground below 500 m. It majorly has uranium with minor iodine, which is a typical anionic radionuclide. In particular, radioiodine has higher mobility from its spent fuel source. It has been well known that it could freely pass through a compacted bentonite that is one of underground engineering barriers that are used to retard some nuclide’s migration from the spent fuel. We installed a small laboratory apparatus in an anaerobic glove box imitating such an underground repository and evaluated the iodine mobility in compacted bentonites with or without copper. Some copper-bearing bentonites were prepared in two types, a copper ion-exchanged form and a copper nanoparticle-mixed one. In our study, we tried to find an effect of sulfate that has an ability to retard mobile iodine from the compacted bentonite for a long-term period. Conclusively, we found an effective way to limit the iodine release from the compacted bentonite. This condition can be achievable by exchanging the bentonite interlayer cations with copper ions or by simply mixing copper nanoparticles with bentonite powder. In those cases, soluble iodine can be easily immobilized as a solid phase (i.e., marshite (CuI)) by combining with copper via the geochemical role of sulfate and indigenous SRB (sulfate reducing bacteria) of bentonite.

        An eco-friendly material was synthesized through interfacial polymerization of aniline on particles of g-C3N4 with arginine, resulting in Arg-PANI@g-C3N4 composite. The as-synthesized composite was characterized by the Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) surface area, X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The adsorption capability of as-synthesized composite towards Orange G (OG) dye has been evaluated under several experimental conditions, such as the adsorbent dosage, initial dye concentration, contact time under agitation, pH of dye solution and temperature. Thermodynamics parameters such as free energy (ΔG°), entropy (ΔS°), and enthalpy (ΔH°) were also calculated and suggested that the adsorption process is spontaneous and endothermic in nature. The kinetics data revealed that the adsorption of OG dye onto Arg-PANI@g-C3N4 follows the pseudo-second order kinetics model. The maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 80.54 mg·g−1. Furthermore, the Arg-PANI@g-C3N4 surface exhibited a Langmuir-like adsorption isotherm in contrast to a Freundlich isotherm due to homogeneous active site distribution. Regeneration investigation showed the excellent reusability of Arg-PANI@g-C3N4 composite during the cleaning up of solution containing OG dye molecules.

        This study investigated the effects of processing three types of texts, namely expository texts, narrative texts, and a combination of both known as twin texts, on incidental vocabulary acquisition and retention in L2 learners. College freshmen (N = 109), who were lower to upper intermediate learners of English, were assigned into a control group and three experimental groups representing different reading conditions. Over a period of seven weeks, the experimental groups engaged in two reading sessions to read their assigned texts accompanied by output tasks and input enhancement. The participants’ receptive and productive vocabulary gains were measured with an immediate posttest and a delayed posttest to assess retention. Results revealed significant impacts of text genres on L2 incidental vocabulary learning and retention. Processing twin texts and expository texts yielded significantly greater vocabulary gains than processing narrative texts alone. These effects might be due to different processing mechanisms required for texts structured in distinct ways. Expository texts are informative and explanatory in nature, providing explicit and contextually rich information for word comprehension and retention.

        Bentonite is a potential buffer material of multi-barrier systems in high-level radioactive wastes repository. Montmorillonite, the main constituent of the bentonite, is 2:1 type aluminosilicate clay mineral with high swelling capacity and low permeability. Montmorillonite alteration under alkaline and saline conditions may affect the physico-chemical properties of the bentonite buffer. In this study, montmorillonite alteration by interaction with synthetic alkaline and saline solution and its retention capacity for cesium and iodide were investigated. The experiments were performed in three different batches (Milli-Q water, alkaline water, and saline water) doped with cesium and iodide for 7 days. Alteration characteristics and nuclide retention capacity of original- and reacted bentonite was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) analysis. From the results, cesium retention occurred differently depending on the presence of competing ions such as K, Na, and Mg ions in synthetic solutions, while iodide was negligibly removed by bentonite. Montmorillonite alteration mainly occurred as cation exchange and zeolite minerals such as merlinoite and mordenite were new-formed during alkaline alteration of the montmorillonite. CEC value of reacted bentonite increased by formation of the zeolite minerals under alkaline conditions.

        본 연구는 간호사의 대인관계 능력이 재직 의도와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향을 경력집단별로 파 악하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 편의표집에 의한 일개 종합병원의 일반 간호사 192명이었다(경력 36 개월 이하 95명, 37개월 이상 97명). 자료수집 기간은 2022년 2월 15일-22이었다. 자료 분석은 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis 등을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과를 보면, 이 직 의도가 여자에서 더 높게 나타났다. 그리고 경력 37개월 이상 집단에서 대인관계 능력이 재직 의도와 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 대인관계 능력의 재직 의도에 대한 영향의 분석에서는 37개월 이상 집단에서 유 의한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 대인관계 능력의 이직 의도에 대한 영향은 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 결론 적으로 간호사들의 재직 의도 증진을 위해 대인관계 능력 강화를 위한 전략을 구축할 필요가 있으며, 이때 경력을 고려해야 할 것이다.

        This study aimed to determine the changes in the vitamin B5 content of raw and cooked vegetables. The nineteen vegetables were subjected to different cooking methods, viz. blanching, boiling, pan-broiling, and steaming. Vitamin B5 was quantified by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using photodiode-array (PDA) detection (200 nm). The standard reference materials (SRM) were used to validate the accuracy of vitamin B5 measurement method used in this study. The cooking yields ranged from 82.63 to 107.62% and decreased in most of the vegetables except bitter melon, curled mallow, and eggplant. The raw kabocha squash, Danhobak, had the highest vitamin B5 content (0.671 mg/ 100 g) among the samples. All cooked vegetables showed lower vitamin B5 content compared to the raw samples. The true retention ranged from 0% (crown daisy, blanching) to 84.49% (kabocha squash, steaming). These results indicate that vitamin B5 is degraded after cooking. Pan-broiling and steaming are better cooking methods than the others for retaining vitamin B5. The true retention of vitamin B5 in the samples markedly depends on the cooking method and food matrix. These results can be used as important basic data for nutritional evaluation of meals.

        전세계적으로 대퇴사 시대를 겪으며 조직 구성원을 유지하는 것이 실무 및 현장의 중요한 주제가 되었 다. 본 연구는 텍스트 마이닝 분석 방법의 일환인 토픽 모델링 및 키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 국내 외 다양한 기업 구성원의 퇴사 원인을 밝히고 조직이 인재를 유지할 수 있는 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 기업은 조직의 성장을 위하여 필요한 인재를 유지하기 위한 노력을 지속하고 있으나 평생 고용의 개념이 사라진 오늘날 구성원들의 퇴사가 빈번하다. 그리고 생산가능인구 감소에 따라 기업에 조직 구성원 유입 이 제한될 것으로 예측할 때 인재 유지 주제와 관련한 연구의 중요성은 더욱 강조된다. 또한 COVID-19 팬데믹을 경험하며 구성원들의 일에 대한 관점이 변화함에 따라 이에 대응하여 기업의 인재 유지를 가능 하게 하는 주요 요소를 밝혀내는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 국내외 소셜 미디어 서비스인 잡플래닛 과 글래스도어의 데이터를 토픽 모델링 분석하여 조직 구성원들이 인식하는 기업의 주요 장단점을 살펴봤다. 그리고 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해 해당 요인을 시각화하여 조직에서 인재를 유지하는 요인을 규명하였다. 본 연구는 방대한 양의 데이터를 텍스트 마이닝 기법으로 분석하여 국내 기존 연구에서 아직 다루지 못한 대퇴사 시대의 주요 원인을 밝혔다는 점에서 이론적 함의를 갖는다. 또한 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 최근 현장 및 학계에서 중요하게 대두되는 대퇴사 시대의 인재 유지 대응 전략을 제시한다는 점에서 실무적 의의가 있다.

        최근 원예작물의 지속가능한 생산을 위한 작물 생육환경 센 싱 기반 복합환경제어시스템 연구와 산업적 이용이 부각되면 서, 노지재배에 적용하기 적합한 토양센서 활용 방안 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 산업 및 연구 현장에서 많 이 사용되고 있는 TEROS 12 FDR 센서(frequency domain reflectometry sensor)를 노지 과수원의 토양에 알맞게 활용 하기 위하여 국내 세 지역 과수원 토양의 토성별 FDR 센서 활 용 방법을 제시하고자 수행하였다. 실제 과수가 재배되고 있 는 각 과수원에서 토양을 채취하여, 토성 및 토양수분보유곡 선을 조사하였으며, 토양별 TEROS 12 센서 Raw 값과 이에 대응하는 용적수분함량 값을 선형 회귀 분석, 3차 회귀 분석을 통해 보정식을 얻은 뒤 제조사에서 제공하는 광질 토양 보정 식과 비교 분석하였다. 채취한 세 과수원의 토양은 모두 토성 이 달랐으며, 토성에 따라 각 보수력에 따른 용적수분함량 수 치에 차이가 있었다. 또한, TEROS 12 센서 보정식에서는 모 든 토양에서 3차 회귀 분석 보정식이 결정계수 0.95 이상으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, RMSE도 가장 낮게 나타났다. 제조사 에서 제공하는 보정식을 사용하여 TEROS 12 센서의 용적수 분함량을 보정할 경우 토양에 따라 실제 수치에 비해 최대 0.09-0.17m3·m-3가량 낮게 나타나, FDR 센서 사용시 적용 토양에 알맞은 보정이 반드시 선행되어야 함을 확인하였다. 또한 토성에 따라 토양의 보수력 구간에 따른 용적수분함량 범위의 차이가 있었으며, 토양 용적수분함량의 수치 해석에 보수력 정보가 수반되어야 할 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사질이 많은 토양에서는 관수 개시점 측정을 위해 FDR 센서를 활용 하는 데 있어 용적수분함량 측정 범위가 상대적으로 좁아 정 밀도가 떨어질 것으로 판단되었다. 결론적으로 토양에서 FDR 센서를 통해 토양수분의 변화를 알맞게 해석하고 노지 에서 알맞은 관수 시점을 선정하기 위해서는, 적용 토양의 수 분보유특성을 파악하고 FDR 센서 보정을 선행하여 올바른 토양 수분 정보 제공이 필요할 것이다.

        Plasma Arc Melter (MSO) system has been developed for the treatment and the stabilization of various kinds of hazardous and radioactive waste into the readily disposable solidification products. Molten salt oxidation system has been developed for the for the treatment of halogen- and sulfurbearing hazardous and radioactive waste without emissions of PCDD/Fs and acid gases. However, PAM system has showed some difficulty in the off-gas treatment system due to the volatilization of radionuclides and toxic metals at extremely high-temperature plasma arc melter and the emissions of acid gases. MSO system has also showed the difficulty in the treatment of spent molten salt into the disposable waste form. Present study discussed the results of organics destruction performance tests for the PAM-MSO combination system, which is proposed and developed to compensate the drawbacks of each system. The worst-case condition tests for the organics destruction were conducted at lowest temperatures and the worst-case condition tests for the retention of metals and radionuclides were conducted at highested temperatures under the range of normal operating condition. For the worst-case organic destruction test, C6H5Cl was selected as a POHCs (Principal Organic Hazardous Constituents) because of its high incinerability ranking and the property of generation of chlorine gases and PCDD/Fs when incompletely destroyed. Simulated concrete waste spiked with 1 L of C6H5Cl was treated and the emissions of 17 kinds of PCDD/Fs and other hazardous gases such as CO, THCs, NOx, SO2 and HCl/Cl2 were measured. For the worst-case condition tests for the retention of metals and radionuclides, Pb and Cs were selected because of its high volatility characteristics. The emissions of PCDD/Fs was extremely lowered than the emission limit and those of other hazardous constituents were below their emission limit. The results of performance tests on the organics destruction suggested that tested PAM-MSO combination system could readily treat PCBs-bearing spent insulation liquid, spent ion-exchange resins used for the treatment of spent decontamination liquid in the decommission process and the concreted debris bearing hazardous organic coating materials. The decontamination factor of Cs and Co were 1.4×105, 1.4×105, respectively. The emisison of Pb was 0.562 ppm. These results suggested that tested PAM-MSO system treated low-level radioactive and pb-bearing mixed waste.

        Bentonite, which mostly consists of montmorillonite, is considered as a suitable buffer material for disposal of high-level radioactive wastes in deep geological repository due to its high swelling capacity, low permeability, and strong retention capacity of radionuclide migration. Alkaline and saline solutions originated from degradation of cementitious material and seawater intrusion, respectively, may cause the changes in mineralogical and chemical properties of montmorillonite with various processes such as cation exchange within the interlayer, dissolution of montmorillonite, and precipitation of second minerals. In this study, montmorillonite alteration under alkaline and saline environments and its influences on retention of cesium and iodide by bentonite buffer were investigated. The reactions of bentonite (Bentonil-WRK) with alkaline solutions (0.1 M KOH and NaOH) and simulated saline solution were performed for 7 days in batch experiments at 25°C. After the experiments, reacted bentonite samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR) spectrometry. The concentrations of cesium and iodide dissolved in the solutions were analyzed using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP–MS). The XRD patterns showed significant decrease in the interlayer space of montmorillonite after the reaction with alkaline solution due to cation exchange and change in hydration status at the interlayer. The retention of cesium and iodide in alkaline and saline solutions were affected by montmorillonite alteration and ion competition. Therefore, the montmorillonite alteration affecting the nuclide retention capacity and long-term stability of bentonite buffer should be considered in the safety assessment of long-term geological disposal performance.

        This study examines the effects of different cooking methods (stir-frying, steaming, superheated-steaming) on the contents and the true retention of moisture, water-soluble vitamins, and bioactive compounds of ten selected vegetables: broccoli, brussels sprout, cabbage, eggplant, green bean, onion, red cabbage, red onion, squash, and tomato. The total color difference (ΔE) values were decreased after stir-frying the samples, except for eggplant, green bean, and tomato. The true retention of water-soluble vitamins (B1, B2, B3, and C) was increased in most vegetables after superheated-steaming, as compared to steaming and stir-frying. Moreover, compared to the uncooked vegetables, a higher true retention of total polyphenol and flavonoid was obtained for most vegetables subsequent to superheated-steaming. Total anthocyanin content was detected only in eggplant, red cabbage, and red onion, and a smaller loss of anthocyanin was determined after subjecting red cabbage to superheated-steaming. Also, the free radical scavenging activities were higher in superheatedsteaming vegetables, except in eggplant and squash. These results indicate that superheated-steaming induces a positive effect for retaining water-soluble vitamins and functional components of vegetables.

        The purpose of this study is to understand the relation of peer group caring interaction, Professional self-concept, and Nurses’ Retention. The subjects of this study are 133 nurses who have worked for more than three months at five general hospitals with more than 300 beds in S city. As a result of the study, nurses’ retenstion was higher than those of under 25 years of age between 30 and 35(F=3.313, p=.039).The professional self-concept of hospital nurses has been identified as an influence factor of intent to serve. Professional self-concepts have been shown to be better with higher peer-care and consideration(r=.397, P=.004). The peer group caring interaction behavior can occur not only between colleagues but also between managers. Therefore, it is necessary to proceed with the manager's group caring interaction as a follow-up study.

        The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of the nursing work environment, job embeddedness, and job esteem on the retention intention in the millennial generation nurses. The subjects of this study are nurses working in general hospitals with more than 300 beds. Among nurses born in the 1980s and early 2000s, 97 agreed to study. As a result of the study, there was a significant difference in academic background.(F=6.74, p=.002) In terms of final education, those with graduate or higher were higher than those with three-year graduation and four-year graduation Retention intention is the degree of job placement (r=.319, p=.001), job respect (r=.331, p=.001) had a positive relationship with the nursing working environment (r=-.252, p=.013) was negatively correlated. Factors affecting the retention intention is 12.9% explanatory skills as a result of the introduction of job embeddedness, nursing work environment, and job esteem. It is necessary to understand the characteristics of the generation in order to increase the retention intention as a millennial generation nurse.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the forage productivity and feed value of Sasa borealis (S. borealis) using growing black goats(S. borealis) in order to improve the utilization of S. borealis and to help mitigate the problem of reduced plant species diversity caused by S. borealis in Hanlla Mountain. One control and three treatments were made by the level of addition of S. borealis silage to the TMR feed. T1(10%), T2(20%), and T3(30%) treatments showed more daily weight gains than control group. Feed conversion ratio of T2 is 4.4g, which is significantly lower than control(P<0.05). The nitrogen retention in the control, which had relatively high dry matter intake, was 12.5g, which was significantly higher than that of T3. Sasa. borealis silage is considered to be able to use as a forage source for black goats, and if it is fed in an appropriate amount, it is considered that it will help improve livestock productivity, such as weight gain and feed conversion ratio.
