The purpose of this Study is to find an appropriate cross-section of the block as a drawback of hollow concrete block field work. Formed Concrete Block was evaluated by FEM Method in a variety of stress conditions in order to find the optimum cross-section. As a result, the block has higher vertical resistance than horizontal and the strength of it depends on the thickness of web.

In this paper, the load transfer test of circular shaped anchorage block to reduce the spacing. The test is in compliance with ETAG013 and KCI-PS101. Test results showed that the strain in compliance with ETAG013 and KCI-PS101 stabilization that satisfy all the criteria.

A numerical case study of stub type abutment consist of square wall pile and retaining wall has been done for its possible application. The FEM analysis using 3 dimensional elements is performed for defining its characteristic behaviors with respect to its construction sequence. The results indicate that the pre-construction of reinforced wall before installation of the square wall pile is more effective in the view point of the displacement and stress.

This study is to understand the flexural behaviors of hollow core beam using GFRP reinforcing Bar. The ultimate goal of this study is to apply the hollow core slab using GFRP reinforcing bar in a construction site. To achieve this, five specimens is planned and conducted on experimental study. The shape and size of specimen are rectangular shape of cross section with 210mm x 230mm. As a results of test, to add deformed bar in hollow core beam using GFRP reinforcing bar demonstrated superior flexural performance. Therefore hollow core beam using GFRP reinforcing bar is considered appropriate to apply in the field.

To define the shear reinforcing effect of steel fiber in high strength concrete, 4 column specimens designed with a volume fraction of steel fiber such as 0.0%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%. The column specimens were tested lateral cyclic load under constant axial load. From test results, steel fiber can reduced brittle shear failure, and can increased strength and ductility capacity in RC columns.

This paper presents a reinforced concrete composite slab with a strain-hardening cementitious composites (SHCC). This slab system has merits in longer-span. minimizing the reinforcements as well as improving crack control. The field application in construction is suitable to apply the non-supporting formwork system in construction.

Amorphous metal fibers can improve the brittleness of concrete and enhance the shear and tensile strength of reinforced concrete (RC) members. A series of experimental studies RC composite beams with amorphous metal fiber composites were conducted, and it was shown that the RC beam with amorphous metal fiber composites could give improved flexural responses to compare with the reinforced concrete beam.

This study investigated characteristics of buckling load and effective buckling length by member rigidity of dome-typed space frame which was sensitive to initial conditions. A critical point and a buckling load were computed by analyzing the eigenvalues and determinants of the tangential stiffness matrix. The hexagonal pyramid model and star dome were selected for the case study in order to examine the nodal buckling and member buckling in accordance with member rigidity.

In the past spatial structures have been significantly developing in the architectural field. Most of all, the single layer grid dome has become very popular, having not only with aesthetic advantages, but also the economic benefit of saving material. Especially, a generation of triangular mesh for the curved surface is one of the important things. Therefore, in this paper, a generation technique to get a equilateral triangle surface of single layer dome is deal with. To solve the problem, the objective function is consist of the standard deviation of triangular element and differential evolution method is adopted to fine a fine triangular gird.

In this study, a structural performances of prestressed composite beam with steel pipe sleeves was verified. Steel pipe sleeves in the composite beam provide the convenience of piping and facility plans. To evaluate the flexural capacity of the composite beam, analytical and experimental investigation of four test specimens has progressed.

Six prototype field tests (1/8 scale tests) have been conducted in order to determine the lateral resistance of connected-pile foundation for transmission line structures. Test sites, located in the city of Hwaseong in Gyeonggi province, are classified as soft silty clay. These test results reveal failures not lattice structure but either the connected beam or uplift of foundation leg caused by large deformation at silty clay. Test results also show the lateral resistance which is 40∼50% higher than the current foundation type of transmission towers.

The tendon loss of the pre-stressed composite member is affected immediate elastic loss and time-dependent loss. For the efficient and safe pre-stressed member design, precision calculation method is required. In this paper, experimental study and comparison analysis is conducted by measuring of tendon loss. Later, the experimental investigation would be conduct to make an estimate method of tendon loss considering effects between steel and reinforced concrete.

The objective of this study is about hollow core slab with GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced plastics) Reinforcing bar instead of using deformed bar. This experiment is planed because using GFRP Reinforcing bar instead of tension bar in existing RC hollow core slab will improve not only on the constructability but also on the durability by solving the corrosion of slab. As the result of the experimental study, GFRP Reinforcing bar and additional deformed bar appear to be superior compared to RC hollow core slab in structural ability.

Recently the use of post-installed anchors has been increasing because this constructing method is flexible and easy to attach or fix structural members when we repair, reinforce, or remodel structures. In this study, the objective is to investigate the effects of the variations like sleeve length, sleeve hitting power, embedment depth, anchor interval, edge distance and strength of concrete on adhesive strength of post-installed anchors embedded in plain concrete through drawing experiments of set anchors.

This study was performed to develop a reinforcing head method for steel pipe piles using screw type bending reinforcement, which can fix piles using nuts, and experimentally prove structural performances. In order to do so, steel pipe pile reinforcing head method test specimen using screw bending iron was produced and implemented to vertical tensile test, vertical compression test, and horizontal loading test. As a result, the test showed that it secured 1.28-3.62 times safety factors that are demanded from the design criteria for highway bridge.

Recently, most of concrete bridge deck in Two-Girder bridges have problem that transverse cracking has occurred. The Causes of Cracks in slabs of Two-Girder bridges are the mutual combination of several factors, such as concrete mix, the change in curvature due to the continuous pouring, heat of hydration, and plastic shrinkage. In this paper, Step-by-step analysis was carried out using the tensile stress of the concrete deck construction considering of the nodal temperature distribution, and the time and temperature of the upper plate of the material changes, the drying shrinkage, creep. distribution reinforcement bars in order to prevent the construction of the initial concrete cracking tensile stress share all this stress were examined. In this paper, investigation for crack causes were conducted to design and improvements were developed for future design through the analysis of concrete tensile stress.

FRP has higher design tensile strength than steel bar and outstanding characteristics such as light-weight, non-corrosion, and lower conductivity. And, current researchers evaluated flexural performances of flexural members using FRP and suggested the development length and splice length by using bonding failure test. This Researchers has the main purpose to examine the quality of bonding failure in the lap spliced FRP and deformed bar. Variables in this test with total 208 specimens planned are re-bar location, embedment length, covering depth, re-bar diameter. And, this study describes the result of our review on the bonding strength of the lap-spliced FRP and the deformed bar located at the bottom.

To evaluate the confinement effect of aramid sheet in RC column end, structural tests are performed. Test variables are aramid sheet warping length as 300mm, 600mm. From test results, aramid sheet warped 600mm specimen shows good performance in strength capacity and ductile behavior
