        This study conducted the minimum weight optimum design using the differential evolution and genetic algorithm of simple structure. And then, the optimization program was verified with the numerical analysis examples of fixed beams. As a result, the graphs of these two optimization programs increased similarly.

        Using the Irregular Waves based on Spectrum, the structural analysis of the hybrid substructure for offshore wind turbines is carried out through ANSY ASAS in time domain. The comparison of numerical results between P-M spectrum and JONSWAP spectrum is made to investigate the ultimate structural safety. It is found that the suggested hybrid substructure can be an effective substructure for offshore wind turbines.

        Using the wave forces obtained from ANSYS AQWA, the structural analysis of the gravity substructure for 5MW offshore wind turbines is carried out through ANSY Mechanical. Moreover, the comparison of natural frequency between the wind turbine and the gravity substructure is made to investigate the resonance. It is found that the suggested gravity substructure can be an effective substructure for 5MW offshore wind turbines.

        In this paper, ultrasonic velocity(UV) test through OPC and Slag concrete is conducted considering porosity under compressive and tensile loading conditions. The test results show that up to 50% of compressive loading condition, UV a little increases and remarkably drops at peak load, however it fluctuates under the tensile loading condition because of the number of increase micro cracks in concrete specimens.

        This study investigates the geodesic dome based on an icosahedron and development of joint modules that make up a dome structure in order to model the modular dome using the wood-plastic composite member with 70% of wooden fiber contests.         This study investigated the effect of cement type and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) on the mechanical properties and workability of grout for offshore PSC structures. As the replacement ratio of GGBS increased, the flowability of the grout increased and both intial and final setting times of grout was delayed regardless of cement type. However, the effects of GGBS on the bleeding of grout were different according to the type of cement: as the ratio of GGBS increased, less bleeding was observed for the grout with typeⅠ cement whereas higher bleeding was generated for the grout with type Ⅲ cement. However, there was no significant difference in their compressive strength at 28 day according the different replacement ratio of GGBS from 0 to 40%.

        In this study, a new foundation in a spiral type was developed for the solar electric power system.         In this paper, the improvement methods of working platforms arrangement for NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) construction has been reviewed to enhance the construction accessibility. The working platforms will be enlarged and added because of accessibility of the hi-capacity crane for installation of the SC module and the combined module. The vertical elevator and the working tower have been also proposed to increase construction accessibility. It is concluded that the improvement of constructability is possible based on the consultation of construction company.

        For the corner joint strengthening of the underground box structures, the strengthening method using pressure members was developed. By the applied pressure on the reinforcing members and the increase of nominal strength due to reinforcing member, the size of the reinforcing members are reduced and the performance of corner joint strengthening is improved.

        This study suggested an improvement of expansion joint and asphalt pavement construction to prevent pavement and bridges damage due to alkali silica reaction. First, for the case study of alkali silica reaction, we conducted a field survey of expressway 15 Mokpo - Muan. As a result, those following damages were investigated such as abutment tensile cracks, pavement crazing and rising, joint contractions and localized damage etc. To prevent this, we applied those following improvements to Muan2 bridge and Samjeong bridge of expressway 15 and confirmed improvement effectiveness by monitoring. 1) Installing an expansion joint on a bridge near pavement slabs(3 points), 2) constructing asphalt pavement after removing concrete pavement(6m). In conclusion, through such improvements suggested above, we expect that we will be able to effectively prevent bridges damage due to Alkali Silica Reaction. Consequentially, it will also contribute improving the safety of vehicles in the expressway.

        Durability and structural safety of steel structure are severely affected by corrosion caused by deicer material as well as by airborne chlorides in the marine environment. In this study, based on analysis of current status it is suggested that deterioration and durability reduction by the environmental factor such as chlorides should be more reasonably taken into consideration for the accurate inspection and condition evaluation of steel structures.

        There is a growing interest in The 3D Structural Health Monitoring technology through Web Browser, but there are few actual development and applications. This study is development of the Structural Health Monitoring Platform(SHMP) in order to provide owner the structure defect and deterioration by monitoring the state of the structure through the Web Browser. To achieve this, This study applies the visualization techniques such as the color, symbol and text in the 3D Structural Health Monitoring System. Thus, the users may be understood the location and information of the structure. By developing The Monitoring Platform based on the Web Browser, it might be a way that checks user's intuitive grasp of the structural information.
