        This study aimed to investigate the language usage of outdoor advertisements and find ways to improve it from the perspective of public language. Anyone is exposed to signboards without limitations, and it allows the public to learn fixed language forms for a long time. Therefore, it has both direct and indirect effects on the public’s language lives. This study focuses on sign language as a public language. Here, signboards from four districts in Gyeonggi-do were collected and analyzed in three ways. Signboards marked only in Korean accounted for a relatively large proportion of the main words, whereas mixed types of characters were used together in the subwords. In addition, there were cases of intentional violation of the language norm and listed only the initial consonants, those conscious of ambiguity. Results show that follow-up studies, such as conducting an additional survey, designating a demonstration area for the practical maintenance of sign language, and preparing guidelines for the production of outdoor advertisements, are expected to continue.

        In the event of an emergency such as facility shutdown during process operation, the by-product gas must be urgently discharged to the vent stack to prevent leakage, fire, and explosion. At this time, the explosion drop value of the released by-product gas is calculated using ISO 10156 formula, which is 27.7 vol%. Therefore, it does not correspond to flammable gas because it is less than 13% of the explosion drop value, which is the standard for flammable gas defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and since the explosion drop value is high, it can be seen that the risk of fire explosion is low even if it is discharged urgently with the vent stock. As a result of calculating the range of explosion hazard sites for hydrogen gas discharged to the Bent Stack according to KS C IEC 60079-10-1, 23 meters were calculated. Since hydrogen is lighter than air, electromechanical devices should not be installed within 23 meters of the upper portion of the Bent Stack, and if it is not possible, an explosion-proof electromechanical device suitable for type 1 of dangerous place should be installed. In addition, the height of the stack should be at least 5 meters so that the diffusion of by-product gas is facilitated in case of emergency discharge, and it should be installed so that there are no obstacles around it.

        In this study, we investigated the dynamic characteristics of three irregular building models to analyze the effectiveness of displacement response control with Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) installation in twisted irregular buildings. The three irregular models were developed with a fixed angle of twist per story at one degree, subjected to three historical seismic loads and resonant harmonic loads. By designing TMDs with linear and dashpot attributes, we varied the total mass ratio of the installed TMDs from 0.00625% to 1.0%, encompassing a total of 10 values. Two TMDs were installed at the center of the top story of the analysis model in both X and Y directions to evaluate displacement response control performance based on TMD installation. Our findings suggest that the top displacement response control performance was most effective when a 1.0% TMD was installed at the top layer of the analysis model.

        이 연구는 부모의 지지가 청소년들의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알 아보고, 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로 검증하는 것이 목적이다. 이 를 위해 I소재 지역의 중·고등학생 866명을 대상으로 매개효과를 분석하 였고 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 지지는 청소년의 삶의 만족에 정 적(+)인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부모의 지지는 청소년의 자아존중감에도 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 지지는 자아존 중감을 부분 매개하여 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미친다는 연구 결과가 나타 났다. 따라서 청소년들의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 부모의 지지를 높이는 방안을 마련하고 청소년의 긍정적인 자아존중감 형성을 위한 다 방면의 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 생애 삶에 따른 맞춤형 부모교육프로그램이나 공감대화법 등의 지원이 필요하다.

        This study aims to examine the public's perception of the appropriateness of metaphorical expressions used by medical professionals in medical discourse. A sample of 142 individuals were asked to evaluate the appropriateness of ten metaphorical expressions used by health-care experts. Additionally, questions were posed about the effects of using metaphors. The ten items showed variability in the degree of appropriateness, with metaphors being considered more appropriate when the target was familiar and the similarity between the source and target domains was high. Positive aspects of metaphor use by medical professionals included aiding in understanding, with respondents perceiving such professionals as kind, considerate of patients, and trustworthy. Negative aspects included difficulties in understanding when the similarity between the metaphorical targets was low, requiring lengthy and complex thought processes, and potential misunderstandings of scientific facts. Approximately 15% of respondents reported their own experiences with metaphorical expressions in medical discourse, noting that these metaphors helped them understand the illness and treatment, and induced positive behavioral changes.

        Non-uniform reinforced concrete brace facade systems are newly considered to improve seismic performance of reinforced concrete frame buildings under lateral load. For normal and high strength concrete of 30MPa, 80MPa, and 120MPa, the cross-sections of reinforced concrete brace facade systems were designed as different size with same amount of reinforcements. The strengthened frame systems were analyzed by a non-linear two-dimensional finite element technique which was considering material non-linearities of concrete and reinforcing bars under monotonic and cyclic loadings. From the study of non-linear analysis of the systems, therefore, it was provided that the proposed braced facade systems were reliable to improve laterally load-carrying capacity and minimize damages of concrete members through comparisons of load-displacement curves, crack patterns, and stress distributions of reinforcing bars predicted by current non-linear finite element analysis of frame specimens.

        마리나업은 전 세계적으로 고용창출과 경제적 파급효과 측면에서 주요 산업으로 각광받고 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라는 마리나업 육성을 위해 다양한 정책 을 펼치고 있으나 외국적 마리나선박의 국내 유입을 위한 정책은 아직까지 미 흡한 실정이다. 외국적 마리나선박이 우리나라에 입항하기 위해서는 마리나항 만 또는 마리나시설에 입항하여야 하는데, 이러한 마리나항만 및 마리나시설 대부분은 무역항이 아닌 불개항장에 소재하고 있어 외국적 마리나선박의 국내 유입에 있어 장애요소로 작용하고 있다. 외국적 선박이 불개항장에 입항하기 위해서는 불개항장 기항 허가를 통해 기항 목적의 타당성, 선박안전확보 방안, 승선자 무단이탈 관리 방안, 해양오염 예방 방안, 국제협약에 따른 선박검사증 서의 유효성 등과 관련된 엄격한 요건을 만족해야 하기 때문이다. 이에 따라 이와 관련된 법적·제도적 정비가 시급한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 마리나선박 의 국내 유입 활성화를 통한 우리나라 마리나업 발전을 위해 국내법 규정 완 화, 명확한 기준 확립 및 실효성 있는 안전관리 제도 마련 등 불개항장 기항 허 가 제도 개선방안을 제시한다.

        Purpose: This study aimed to identify and analyze the experience of passing and repealing the Nurses Act in Parliament. Methods: This qualitative study used content analysis. The data were collected through in-depth interviews October 16 to November 23, 2023. Results: The qualitative content analysis revealed five themes and 16 subthemes. The themes included: “Learning the Nurses Act through different channels”, “The Nurses Act’s passage, which strengthens the professionalism and legitimacy of the nursing profession”, “Looking back and feeling the joy and frustration of the process of getting it through the Congress and getting it repealed”, “An abandoned nursing practice due to bullying”, “Nevertheless, moving toward the re-enactment of the Nurses Act with hope”. Conclusion: Nurses expected the Nurses Act to recognize their expertise and clarify legal nursing practices; however, they were outraged and perplexed when the president vetoed the Nurses Act, and they felt sorry for the Nurses Act, which was turned into a political tool in the conflict between medical professions. Nevertheless, they hoped that the Nurses Act would be re-promoted through opinions and discussions with various professions and public awareness activities by developing nurses’ political capabilities and preparing a basis for the Nurses Act.

        본 연구의 목적은 기존의 하드 타입의 관성 센서를 대체할 수 있는 소프트 원단 기반 팔꿈치 굽힘 각 센서를 개발하 고, 이를 이용하여 굽힘 각도를 추정하는 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 비교 선정을 위하여 Bergamo, E-band, Span cushion, Polyester의 서로 다른 역학적 특성을 가진 4종류 원단에 SWCNT (Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes) 함침을 통해 전도성을 부여한 후 성능 평가를 통하여 하나의 원단을 선정하여 팔꿈치 굽힘 각 센서로 제작 하였다. 성능을 평가하는 지표로 게이지율(Gauge factor), 이력현상(Hysteresis) 및 센싱 범위를 사용하였다. 제작된 센 서를 통해 얻은 데이터는 bending 동작에서의 각도에 대한 센서 출력값의 변화와 extending 동작에서의 각도에 대한 센서 출력값의 변화가 다른 경향을 갖고 있기 때문에 두 가지 동작을 나누는 것을 1-step으로 하였다. 2-step으로, 데이 터의 복잡한 비선형 관계를 처리하고 높은 데이터 정확도를 달성하기 위해 MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron)를 활용하였 다. 따라서 소프트 텍스타일 굽힘 센서를 제작하였고, MLP를 통해 비선형 관계를 처리하고 각도 추정이 가능해졌다. 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 다양한 스마트 웨어러블 및 헬스케어 분야에서 효과적으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

        This study aimed to determine the optimal planting density for sesame cultivation in a double cropping system after harvesting onion and garlic in the Muan region. It compared the growth, yield, disease susceptibility, and labor hours for two varieties of sesame (Landrace and Geonbaek sesame) at different planting densities. Plant height in the Landrace sesame showed no significant variation with different planting densities, whereas Geonbaek sesame increased in height with higher planting densities. Both cultivars increased the number of viable branches at lower densities. The stem diameter was thicker in Landrace sesame with decreasing planting density, while in the Geonbaek sesame, there was no significant difference in stem diameter regardless of planting density. The number of capsules per plant for the Landrace sesame increased with decreasing density, whereas Geonbaek sesame showed no significant difference. Yield for both cultivars was higher at greater densities. However, the late direct sowing time and shorter cultivation period significantly reduced the yield of sesame cultivated in a double cropping system compared to that of sesame grown in a single cropping system, due to the late direct sowing time and shorter cultivation period. There was no significant difference in disease occurrence based on planting density. Furthermore, although labor hours did not vary with planting density when comparing the labor hours required for cultivating the Landrace sesame and Geonbaek sesame, the latter needed less labor time. This study reveals the optimum planting distance and density for sesame cultivation as a double cropping after harvesting onion and garlic, providing invaluable data for establishing sesame double cropping cultivation techniques.

        목적: 본 연구는 발달장애인을 위한 가상현실(Virtual Reality, VR) 기반 사회성 중재 프로그램에 대해 알아보기 위하여 체계적으로 문헌을 고찰하고 중재 효과를 비교하였다. 연구방법: 2012년 3월부터 2022년 3월까지 10년간 게재된 연구를 대상으로 하였다. 문헌검색을 위한 데이터베 이스로는 PubMed, CINAHL, SCIENCE ON, ERIC을 사용하였고 Google Scholar에서 논문을 추가로 수기 검색하였다. 주요 검색용어는 국내의 경우 “발달장애” OR “자폐스펙트럼장애” OR “지적장애” OR “아스퍼거” AND “가상현실” OR “증강현실” AND “사회성”을 사용하였고, 국외의 경우 “Developmental disability” OR “Autism spectrum disorder” OR “Intellectual disability” OR “Asperger’s” AND “Virtual reality” OR “Augmented reality” OR “Social”을 사용하였다. 검색된 문헌은 PICO (Patients, Intervention, Control, Outcome) 양식에 따라 체계적으로 분석하였다. 결과: VR 기반 사회성 훈련 프로그램은 주로 자폐스펙트럼 및 아스퍼거 장애 그룹에 적용되고 있었다. 적용 대상의 연령은 아동기에서 성인기까지 다양하였고, 아동과 청소년의 경우 또래 관계 및 학교생활 적응이 주된 훈련 목표였고 성인기는 면접 및 직장생활 기술이 주된 훈련 목적이었다. VR 기반 사회성 중재 프로그램은 발달장애인의 감정인식, 의사소통 기술, 직업기술 향상에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: VR 기반의 사회성 중재 프로그램은 가상현실 내 다양한 치료 맥락을 설정할 수 있고 체계적으로 치료 조건을 조절할 수 있는 임상적 장점이 있다. 향후 다양한 진단 군의 특성을 반영한 VR 기반 사회성 훈련 프로그램이 연구되기를 기대한다.

        The ecosystem provides a diverse array of environmental conditions for organisms, and only those that are capable of successfully adapting to these conditions within their habitats can endure, thrive, and proliferate. Further, the environmental conditions within these habitats can significantly affect the bioavailability of chemicals that are introduced therein, thus resulting in varied adverse impacts on the organisms. The present study aims to evaluate the sensitivity of Yuukianura szeptyckii - a species adapted to riparian - to heavy metals following ISO guideline 11276, with the objective of assessing its potential as an indicator species for ecotoxicological evaluations in riparian habitats. The findings revealed that cadmium and copper both had significant toxic effects depending on their concentrations. For cadmium, the LC50 was 280 mg kg-1, EC50 was 66 mg kg-1, and NOEC and LOEC were 25 and 50 mg kg-1, respectively. For copper, the LC50 was 911 mg kg-1, EC50 was 151 mg kg-1, and LOEC was 50 mg kg-1. Comparative analysis with previous results for the international standard species Folsomia candida and the domestic standard species Allonychiurus kimi indicated that Y. szeptyckii exhibited even greater sensitivity to toxicity values. The adverse effects on survival and reproduction were closely associated with the influx concentration of heavy metals in their bodies. Altogether, the results suggest that Y. szeptyckii is a sensitive species for ecotoxicological assessments in riparian habitats, thus making it suitable as an indicator species, particularly in riparian ecosystems that are characterized by relatively high humidity conditions.

        Pepper cultivation requires a great amount of manual labor, especially for varieties needing support stakes to prevent them bending or breaking in heavy winds or rain. In Korea, it is recommended to secure support stakes and string lines carefully, so as to minimize the risk of damage caused by typhoons. The harvesting of peppers is a labor-intensive process with low rates of mechanization.The removal of stakes is particularly time-consuming during mechanical harvesting, and lodging is a major issue during cultivation and mechanical harvesting. Given increased mechanization during pepper harvesting, it is important to consider these issues when undertaking variety development and cultivation method improvements. Further research and development are required to improve cultivation practices and develop pepper varieties that are more resistant to lodging. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the impact of different cultivation methods on pepper lodging, thus broadening our knowledge on the desirable architecture of pepper plants required for lodging tolerance.

        This research investigated the effects of the plant growth regulators (PGRs) on fruit characteristics and storability of ‘Shine Muscat’ grapes. The objective was to identify effective PGR treatment methods for high-quality production and efficient storage. The characteristics of ‘Shine Muscat’ fruits were more affected by the secondary treatment applied 14 days after full bloom than by the primary treatment applied at full bloom. The fruits treated with thidiazuron (TDZ) in the secondary treatment showed higher weight. However, the forchlorfenuron (CPPU) treated fruits exhibited lower acidity and higher soluble solids content, which led to a higher sugar-to-acid ratio. Additionally, it had higher firmness, contributing to a good texture and a brighter yellow-green skin color, thus indicating better quality. The storage period for ‘Shine Muscat’ varies depending on the storage method: up to 60 days in cold storage and up to 110 days in Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage. Like other kinds of fruits, CA storage was more effective for long-term storage. Furthermore, considering that the quality characteristics manifested during the prestorage PGR treatment were maintained during CA storage, secondary treatment with CPPU was deemed effective for optimal quality and storage.

        In ecosystems within limited resources, interspecific competition is inevitable, often leading to the competitive exclusion of inferior species. This study aims to provide foundational information for the conservation and restoration management of Microphysogobio rapidus by evaluating species’ ecological response to biological factors within its habitat. To understand this relationship, we collected food web organisms from site where M. rapidus coexist with Microphysogobio yaluensis, a specie ecologically similar to M. rapidus, and evaluated the trophic levels (TL), isotopic niche space (INS), and the overlap of INS among fishes within the habitat using stable isotope analysis. Our analysis revealed that the M. rapidus exhibited a higher TL than M. yaluensis, with TL of 2.6 and 2.4, respectively. M. yaluensis exhibited a broad INS, significantly influencing the feeding characteristics of most fish. Conversely, M. rapidus showed a narrow INS and asymmetric feeding relationships with other species, in habitats with high competition levels. This feeding characteristics of M. rapidus indicate that the increase in competitors sharing the similar resources lead to a decrease in available resources and, consequently, is expected to result in a decrease in their density.

        본 연구는 급변하는 디지털 환경 하에서 개인의 정보추구 행동에 영향 을 미치는 변인들을 확인하는 것이 목적이었다. 이를 위해 디지털 리터 러시와 미디어 교육 경험을 독립변인으로 하여 각 변인의 하위 구성요소 가 정보추구 행동(검색과 공유)에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 조사하였다. 대학생 총 226명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 디지털 리 터러시의 구성요소인 정서와 참여, 비판적 읽기는 검색행동과 공유행동 에 정적(+) 영향력을 보여주었으나, 가치는 공유행동에 부(-)적 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 미디어 교육 경험은 학교와 가정의 미디어 교육 경험이 모두 정보추구 행동(검색과 공유)에 정(+)적 영향을 보여주 고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 추후 적극적인 정보추구 행동을 위해 디 지털 리터러시의 정서와 참여, 비판적 읽기를 향상시킬 수 있는 학교와 가정의 미디어 교육에 단초를 제공한다.

        Yeosu National Industrial Complex is one of Korea’s representative petrochemical industrial complexes where crude oil refining and petrochemical companies are concentrated. According to the results of the 2021 chemical emissions survey, during the process of manufacturing, storage, and transportation at the Yeosu National Industrial Complex, various hazardous chemicals, including hazardous air pollutants, volatile organic compounds and odorous substances are being emitted into the air, affecting the surrounding environment and the health of residents. The Ministry of Environment is applying strengthened standards by designating the Yeosu National Industrial Complex as an air conservation special measure area and establishing odor management areas to manage the air environment. Nevertheless, odor complaints continue to be registered and related complaints increase when turnaround work is carried out. Since air emissions are not counted during periods of turnaround as normal operations are temporarily suspended, it was difficult to establish policies to reduce odor complaints because the source of emissions and emission quantities cannot be ascertained with certainty. In this study, the extensive Yeosu National Industrial Complex was subdivided into 4 areas using a mobile vehicle equipped with PTR-ToF-MS capable of real-time analysis without sample pretreatment being carried out. Measurements were repeated during the day, night, and dawn while moving around the internal boundary of the plant and the boundary of each region where turnaround activities were being carried out. As a result, the recorded measurement for acrylonitrile was the highest at 6340.0 ppb and propyne and propene were measured the most frequently at 128 times each. Based on these results, it will be possible to help reduce emissions through process improvement by efficiently operating air measurement networks and odor surveys that conduct regular measurements throughout the year and providing actual measurement data to the plant. Also, it will help reduce odor complaints and establish systematic air management policies.

        꽃노랑총채벌레(Frankliniella occidentalis)와 오이총채벌레(Thrips palmi)는 경제적으로 오이의 중요한 해충이며 이들의 방제를 위해 사용 되는 화학약제는 효과적일 수 있으나 생식용으로 소비되는 오이에서 자주 사용하는 것은 바람직하지 않다. 따라서, 이들의 방제를 위해 화학농약 을 대체할 수 있는 천적인 미끌애꽃노린재(Orius laevigatus)의 방제효율을 증대시킬 수 있는 방법으로 미끌애꽃노린재의 천적유지식물을 선발하 였다. 실험실 조건에서 4가지 식물종에 대한 미끌애꽃노린재 부화율, 출현율, 생존률, 생식력을 조사하였고 오이 재배시설 내에서 선발된 2종의 천적유지식물에 대하여 미끌애꽃노린재 밀도를 조사하였다. 미끌애꽃노린재 알 부화율은 채송화가 92%로 가장 높았고 출현율은 바질이 81.4% 로 가장 높았으며, 생존률은 채송화와 바질이 각각 70.8%와 69.1%로 통계적 차이를 보이지 않았다. 미끌애꽃노린재 생식력과 산란기간은 모두 채송화가 각각 209.8개와 20.2일로 가장 좋았고 바질은 각각 160.2개와 15.8일이었다. 식물체 꽃의 개화시기는 화밀을 대체먹이로 하는 미끌애 꽃노린재의 생존에 중요한 요소이기 때문에 채송화와 바질의 개화시기를 조사한 결과 채송화는 7월에서 10월 개화하는 반면 바질은 4월부터 9월 까지 개화하였다. 시설 오이에 미끌애꽃노린재의 천적유지식물로 바질과 채송화를 투입하고 미끌애꽃노린재 밀도를 조사한 결과 바질이 투입된 곳에서 밀도가 높게 조사된 반면 채송화를 투입한 곳에서는 거의 보이지 않았다. 따라서, 바질은 미끌애꽃노린재의 천적유지식물로서 잠재적 가 치가 가장 높았으며 총채벌레 방제를 위해 미끌애꽃노린재를 이용할 경우 바질을 천적유지식물로 동시에 사용한다면 미끌애꽃노린재의 생물적 방제효과에 대한 효력을 증대시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        The goal of this study was to provide basic data necessary for managing fish in the Seomgang River by confirming diversity of fish species in the Seomgang River and determining the degree of change in fish species through a comparison with earlier related work. Growth rate, obesity level, and temporal and spatial reproductive capacities were analyzed to determine growth characteristics of dominant species. Fish fauna and structure of the fish community were surveyed at three different time points from October of 2020 to August of 2021 at eight sites. In addition, growth characteristics of Zacco platypus from June of 2021 to July of 2022 at four sites were determined. A total of 3,999 individuals, 43 species, and ten families of fish were identified. Among these species, 19 (44.19%) were Korean endemic species and four (9.30%) were endangered species. The dominant species was Z. platypus. Pungtungia herzi was identified as a subdominant species. An analysis of length-weight relationships and condition factor (k) of Z. platypus confirmed a good state of growth. As a result of a frequency analysis of the total length, the life cycle of the Z. platypus population living in the Seomgang River was found to be stable. According to gonadosomatic index (GSI) analysis, the spawning season of Z. platypus was estimated to occur after May, consistent with the literature.

        Purpose: This study aims to explore the in-depth experiences of participating in a parent education program at the H Science Institute and understand the meaning and essence of their experiences. Methods: This study employed qualitative content analysis. Data were collected from June 20 to 30, 2023. Participants were a total of 28 people who could provide detailed experiences of participation in the parent education program at the H Science Institute. Focus-group interviews were conducted with 28 participants. Results: The qualitative content analysis revealed six themes: “Exploring the genuine path to become a parent”, “Precious experiences acquired through education that is not easily accessible”, “Discovering the transformed self through education”, “I believe that there had been a change in family relationships”, “Improvements are required in a few contents”, and “I look forward to the program with more extended outreach”. Conclusion: Efforts are required to understand the current status of parent education, verify its empirical effectiveness, and provide parents with awareness of the necessity to observe and control their minds.
