The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of taurine and vitamin E on sperm characteristics damaged by bromopropane (BP) in pig. We evaluated toxicity of BP on viability, membrane integrity and mitochondrial activity of spermatozoa. 1-BP (0, 2.5, 5.0, 10, and 50 μM), 2-BP (0, 2.5, 5.0, 10, and 50 μM), taurine (0, 5.0, 10, and 25 μM) and vitamin E (0, 50, 100, and 200 μM) were treated in fresh boar semen for 6 h. 10 and 50 μM of 1-BP and 2-BP inhibited sperm viability, membrane integrity and mitochondrial activity in fresh boar semen (P<0.05). 25 μM of taurine increased sperm viability and membrane integrity (P<0.05), 100 μM of vitamin E enhanced viability and mitochondrial activity of sperm (P<0.05). Finally, 10 μM of 1-BP and 2-BP was co-treated with taurine (25 μM) and vitamin E (100 μM) in the fresh boar semen. The co-treated samples did affected viability, membrane integrity and mitochondrial activity of sperm. In conclusion, taurine and vitamin E can improve and maintain sperm quality in fresh boar semen.
본 연구는 방풍나물의 인공광 식물공장에서 재배시스템에 따른 생육, 비타민 C, 아미노산함량, 수량에 미치는 영향을 구명코자 실시하였다. 박막수경(NFT), 배지경 (Perlite), 분무경(Aeroponics) 등 3처리를 하였다. 초장은 NFT 처리에서 10.2cm 가장 길었으며, Perlite 처리에서 8.9cm로 가장 짧았다. 주당 엽 생체중은 Perlite, NFT, Aeroponics순으로 무거웠다. 총 페놀 함량은 Aeroponics가 117.84mg·100g-1 GE로 가장 높았고, NFT 98.57mg·100g-1 GE, Perlite 74.62mg·100g-1 GE 순으로 재배 방법에 따라 차이를 나타냈다. 총 플라보노이드는 Aeroponics에서만 0.12mg·100g-1가 검출되었으나, NFT와 Perlite 처리구에서는 검출되지 않았다. 비타민 C 함량은 Aeroponics가 108.23mg ·100g-1으로 가장 높았으며, Perlite가 88.05mg·100g-1, NFT가 80.83mg·100g-1으로 처리에 따라 통계적인 유의성을 나타냈다. 총 식이섬유소 함량은 Aeroponics가 Perlite와 NFT보다 높았다. Cystein 함량은 Aeroponics에서 46.76mg ·100g-1로 가장 높았으며, methionine 함량은 Perlite가 75.64mg·100g-1 로 가장 낮았다. 무기질 함량은 모든 처리에서 K, Ca, P, Mg 순으로 높았다.
In order to get stabilized pure retinol in skin care cosmetics, developing the three layered matrix bead capsules were studied. This study relates to make a cosmetic composition using the three layered matrix capsule that could increase the stability of the active ingredient. A primary encapsulation, vitamin A (pure retinol) of active ingredient was perfectly capsulated into water-in-oil (Water-in-Oil: W/O) emulsion vesicle using PEG-10 dimethicone copolyol emulsifier. A secondary encapsulation of multiple emulsion of the water-in-oil-in-water (W/O/W) emulsion blending W/O emulsion using sucrose distearate of surfactant was developed using homogenizing emulsifying system. Pure retinol of active ingredient was stably capsulized to inside the W/O/W-multiple emulsion in order to load the triple matrix capsulation. By coating it with a polymer matrix base, encapsulated in the triple layered type, which were developed bead encapsulation of 2~10mm uniformly size. To show beautifully appearance capsulated bead type, these finish particles in this triple matrix layer were developed as a gold, green, dark brown, silver and blue color were encapsulated in the bead types. Structural particle certification of triple matrix layer was observed through SEM analysis. Stability of pure retinol was remained stable more than 99.7% for 30 days at 42°C incubating conditions compared with non-capsule. This technology was applied in different formulations such as various sizes and colors that by applying the skin care cosmetics. In the future, this technology to encapsulate an unstable active ingredient, we expect to be expanded this application in the food and drug as a time delivery system.
이 연구에서는 정소가 제거된 흰쥐에 비타민 E와 셀레늄(Selevit)을 5주간 투여 후 체중, 장기 무게, 혈액학적 그리고 생화학적 변화를 관찰하였다. 체중의 변화에서는 모든 실험군에서 증가가 나타냈다. Orch+Selevit군의 체중 증가는 11.2±10.25 g으로 가장 낮았으며, Intact군, Sham군, Orch군과 비교 시 유의적으로 감소되었다. 장기 무게의 변화에서는 Orch+Selevit군의 심장과 간장 무게는 Intact군, Sham군과 비교 시 유의적으로 감소되었다. Intact군, Sham군, Orch군의 신장 무게는 Orch+Selevit군 비교 시 유의적인 증가를 확인하였다. 백혈구 수의 혈액학적 변화에서는 Orch+Selevit군은 다른 모든 군과 비교해 유의적인 증가를 확인하였으며, 적혈구수, 평균적혈구용적, 평균적혈구혈색소량, 평균적혈구색소농도 등과 같은 혈액학적 측정치에서는 유의성은 인정되지 않았다. 생화학적 변화에서는 Orch+Selevit군의 혈청총단백질, 알부민은 Orch군과 비교 시 유의적으로 증가하였으며, 알부민은 Intact군, Sham군 그리고 Orch군과 비교 시 유의적으로 감소했다. AST와 ALT는 모든 실험군에서 유의성이 없었다.
In order to use as a new functional food material, we analyzed the chemical components including the organic compounds, minerals and vitamin C of canola honey which were produced in South Korea. The condensed rate of methanol extraction in honey was 90.5% and main organic compounds that extract by organic solvents in GC-MS analysis were propyl carbinol, cyclopentane, trichloromethane, vinegar naphtha and so on. Also, main aromatic compounds that extract by organic solvents in SPME analysis were diisooctyl adipate, furole, furaldehyde, cyclotetrasiloxane, trisulfide and many more. As proximate composition, crude ash content was lower than acacia honey (0.06%) and manuka honey (0.24%) by 0.01%, and crude protein was higher than acacia honey (0.10%) by 0.23%, but the crude fat of canola and manuka honey was lower content than acacia honey (0.44%) by 0.10%. Free sugar that analyze by HPLC consisted of fructose 44.11%, glucose 22.72%, and total sugars was 66.83%. Minerals by ICP analysis were detected total 15 kinds, Na 7.157 ppm>Ca 5.934 ppm>Si 4.049 ppm>K 1.443 ppm>Mg 1.218 ppm etc. Vitamin C was not detected.
Vitamin D contents in agricultural products and foods were quantified by high performance liquid chromomatography (HPLC) with a UV/Vis detector, using external standard methods. The results were confirmed with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). After homogenization, samples were hydrolyzed by direct alkali saponification. Thereafter, fat-soluble components were extracted with n-hexane containing 0.01% butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Vitamin D contents in cereals were found to be in the range of 1.882~4.856 μg/100 g. Juda's ear and oak mushroom contained high amounts of vitamin D, at 363.85 and 199.42 μg/100 g of edible portion, respectively.
식품에 존재하는 주요 비타민 B12는 hydroxycobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, methylcobalamin이며 cyanocobalamin은 시리얼과 같은 강화식품에 사용되는 합성형이다. 비타민 B12는 식품 중에 낮은 농도로 존재하기 때문에 추출 및 농축과정이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 과자와 시리얼 같은 탄수화물 식품 중의 비타민 B12 추출을 위해 α-amylase처리와 산성조건과 cyanide 존재시 열처리, immunoaffinity column(IAC)로 농축과 세척, HPLC/DAD로 분리 검출하였다. 분석법 수행특성지표들을 측정함으로 분석법을 검증하였다. 정확성과 정밀성은 AOAC 가이드라인을 충족시켰고, LOD 0.01 μg/100g과 LOQ 0.03 μg/100 g을 얻었다. 국제정도관리 시험에서 z-score 1.4로 분석수행이 우수함을 확인하였고 QC chart를 이용한 분석품질관리로 모든 분석이 관리하에 있음을 확인하였다. 검증된 분석법으로 과자류 12종과 시리얼 11종의 비타민 B12 함량을 분석하여 각각 0.02-0.26과 0.03-2.67 μg/100 g 범위를 얻 고 이는 신뢰도높은 데이터로 식품성분표에 활용 가능할 것이며 IAC-HPLC/DAD법이 탄수화물 식품의 비타민 B12 데이터베이스 구축에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
The objective of this study was to investigate the interrelationship of weight and hormonal changes through the administration of vitamin A to first time pregnant heifers. A total of 28 Korean heifers was used for this study. The heifers were divided into two groups - with vitamin A (n=14) and without vitamin A (control) (n=14) in the feed. Body weight increased in vitamin A treated heifers starting 9 months until 15 months. After pregnancy, vitamin A treated heifers were found to maintain higher body weights than the control group. Pre-pregnancy and post pregnancy progesterone levels were not different between the two groups. Serum estradiol levels of heifers at different growth stages showed relatively higher E2 levels than the control. Also, the control during pregnancy may show higher serum E2 levels than the vitamin A treated heifers. The growth phase serum estradiol levels in heifers may be relatively higher than the control. During pregnancy it showed a similar trend. Serum levels of vitamin A treated heifers did not differ from pregnant heifers at 5 months of age. However, after 5 months from conception until 8 months of treatment it showed a high level. Serum cholesterol in pregnant cows was higher in the control group than the treatment from beginning until the end of pregnancy. This is considered to be related to fetus development during pregnancy, as well as the mother's health.
Background. Vitamin K (VK) is a fat-soluble vitamin and is known to have anticancer activity in various cancer cell lines. However, there is no report on the anticancer effect of VK2 in mucoepidermoid carcinoma cells. Methods. The effects of VK2 on anti-proliferative and apoptotic activity were recognized by the trypan blue exclusion assay, 4'-6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) staining and Western blot analysis. Results. The results showed that VK2 decreased cell viability and induced apoptotic programmed cell death in MC3 cells evidenced by the cleavages of caspase3 and PARP. VK2 treatment clearly increased Bak and truncated Bid (t-Bid) compared with the control treatment whereas it did not alter other Bcl-2 family members. Conclusions. Overall, our results suggest that VK2 can be a good apoptotic inducer accompanied by the increase in Bak and Bid protein. VK2 may be a potent target of anticancer drug candidate for the treatment of oral cancer.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of calcium (Ca) and vitamin D (vit. D) levels on metabolism of various minerals such as Ca, P, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Cr. The comparison was made on the rats that were placed on diet containing powdered skim milk with different Ca and vit. D levels for 5 weeks. A total of 42 5-week-old Sprague- Dawley rats were divided into 7 groups as follows: Control group consisted of normal Ca and normal vit. D (0.5% Ca, 1,000 IU vit. D); Experimental groups were divided into low (0.25%) and high (1.0%) calcium levels; and vit. D group was divided into low (10 IU), normal (1,000 IU), and high (5,000 IU) subgroups. The weight gain and food efficiency ratios of the rats were not significantly different with increasing dietary Ca levels. The absorption rates of 7 minerals (Ca, P, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, and Cr) were significantly decreased with increasing dietary Ca levels. Also, fecal excretion of P significantly increased with increasing dietary vit. D levels (p<0.05), and urine excretion of Fe was significantly increased with increasing dietary vit. D levels (p<0.001). The result indicated that higher Ca intake affected on bioavailability of other minerals, due to interactions among minerals in the process of intestinal absorption. However, vitamin D intake had no effect on bioavailability of several minerals. Therefore, it could be suggested that adequate Ca intake is important for balance of the minerals.
The purpose of this study was to estimate usage of vitamin and mineral supplements as over-the-counter (VM-OTC) drugs as well as examine factors associated with VM-OTC usage in Korean adolescents. A total of 1,407 adolescents attending middle or high school in all parts of country were included in the analysis. Prevalence of VM-OTC usage was 56.1%, and it was higher as monthly income, father’s education level, and socioeconomic status of family increased (p<0.001). VMOTC intake was higher in middle school students than in high school students as well as in rural areas or small & mediumsized city residents than big city residents (p<0.01). Subjects mainly received information on VM-OTC mainly from ‘family and relatives’ (46.6%), whereas only 20.3% received information from experts. Subjects took VM-OTC ‘when they are healthy’ (49.1%), ‘when they feel sick’ (17.7%), ‘when they are on a diet’ (17.3%), and ‘when they are stressful’ (15.9%). The effectiveness of taking VM-OTC were mainly ‘fatigue recovery’ (35.0%), ‘health improvement’ (30.6%), and ‘nutritional status improvement’ (13.2%). The most frequently used VM-OTC was vitamin C (49.1%), multi-vitamins (18.6%), multi vitamins & minerals (13.2%), and calcium (9.2%). Among VM-OTC users, only 21.9% replied that they usually check the nutrition facts when they buy products, 62.4% follow the recommended dosage, and 9.7% fully understand the nutrition labels of the products. According to logistic regression analysis, the most influential factor affecting VM-OTC use was parents’ and siblings’ VM-OTC consumption (p<0.001). In addition, school type (middle or high school) (p<0.01), residence (p<0.05), self-concerns about health (p<0.05), father’s education level (p<0.05), and socioeconomic status of family (p<0.05) all influenced VM-OTC use. These results show that VM-OTC use is widespread among adolescents, few users actually check and fully understand the nutrition labels when they purchase VM-OTC, and they are highly dependent on unprofessional advice and information. Therefore, it is necessary to educate adolescents to help them select proper VM-OTC and read nutrition labels.
This is an initial work on a research project which will ultimately test a battery of hypotheses relating to the drivers of consumers’ willingness to buy of Vitamin C OTC. This initial work outlines the product category, the market, and presents the initial theoretical framework to be investigated. Dietary Supplement constitutes a very significant business market in Thailand. Consumers in Thailand consume dietary supplements on a daily, continual basis to supplement their daily dietary intake. More importantly, they consume them as a preventive measure to off-set an environment of ever growing pollution, pressure to perform and stress. The market for dietary supplements is growing, and firms operating in this market are interested to understand the factors and variables related to consumers’ willingness to buy on these dietary supplements. Consumers can also benefit from research insights as the consumption of dietary supplement is not without criticism (e.g. Braun et al., 2009; Timbo et al., 2006). Food supplements or Dietary supplements (EU1) is the official designated term for this product category in the United Stated of America (U.S. FDA 1994). Thailand (ACCSQ-TMHS, 2006), are classified as food products containing micronutrients and its intention is to supplement the normal diet (Greger, 2001). According to Kearney (2010), consumers have increasing levels of focus on the importance of health, which the increased focus on health coincides with an increased availability of health information, which in turn is fueled by the underlying demands of an aging population and an increase in lifestyle diseases. In the EU, the use of supplements is widely practiced in the general population. Statistics reveal that 47% of German women and 41% of German men regularly take supplements consisting of vitamins, and minerals (Reinnert, Rohrmann, Beckers & Linseisen, 2007). The sales ratio in the Thai market between general nutrients and vitamins is approximately 55 to 45 percent. According to the latest IMS Health Thailand report as of end September 2013 (see Table), it is noted that in Thailand alone, the domestic consumption of general nutrients and vitamins as food supplements has increased by more than four folds from 2004 to 2013 (Thai Baht 1.27 billion in 2004 to 5.46 billion in 2013). The majority of this increase occurred from 2011 to 2013. Most of these products are imported from the US. Other major producers and exporters of these products are Ireland, France, Switzerland, Japan, Netherlands, Germany and Australia; whereas Japan, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam are major exporters of raw materials into Thailand for further refinement (Arunanondchai 2007). In Thailand, exercise used to be the main way to achieve a healthy life. There is, however, a growing belief that healthy food and food supplement consumption is important to be healthy. The present project studies the use of Vitamin C as an example of a dietary supplement, which is widely consumed in Thailand. Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid or Ascorbate) is the generic descriptor for compounds having antiscorbutic activity. Most animals can synthesize Vitamin C from D-glucose but humans and other primates, together with guinea pigs, fruit bats, some Passeriformes birds, some fish and some insects, are exceptions. Vitamin C is a reducing agent (antioxidant) and it is likely that all of its biochemical and molecular functions relate to this property. In humans, Vitamin C acts as an electron donor for eight enzymes, of which three are involved in collagen hydroxylation (including aspects of norepinephrine, peptide hormone and tyrosine metabolism) and two are involved in carnitine biosynthesis (Dunn et al (1984), Eipper et al (1993, 1992), Kaufmann (1974), Kirirkko & Myllyla (1985), Levine et. al, (1991), Procop & Kiviikko (1995), Peterkovsky (1991), Rebouche (1991)). Vitamin C is sold through various distribution channels, including the over-the-counter (OTC) market in Thailand with limited restriction from the Thai FDA. OTC drugs are medicines that may be sold directly to a consumer without a prescription from a healthcare professional, as compared to prescription drugs, which may be sold only to consumers possessing a valid prescription. The term OTC may be somewhat counterintuitive, since, in many countries, these drugs are often located on the shelves of stores like any other packaged product. In contrast, prescription drugs are almost always passed over a counter from the pharmacist to the customer. Some drugs may be legally classified as over-the-counter (i.e., no prescription is required), but may only be dispensed by a pharmacist after an assessment of the patient's needs and/or the provision of patient education. In many countries, a number of OTC drugs are available in establishments without a pharmacy, such as general stores, supermarkets, gas stations, etc. Regulations detailing the establishments where drugs may be sold, who is authorized to dispense them, and whether a prescription is required vary considerably from country to country. To simplify, any medicine that can be sold over the counter for symptomatic relief of minor or self-limiting ailments without the prescription of a registered medical practitioner is an OTC Medicine. OTC Medicines differ from Prescription Medicines in terms of Margin of Safety, Advertising and Distribution. The project will address a combination of both intrinsic and extrinsic driving factors in pharmaceutical products, including vitamins that can potentially lead to a better and clearer understanding on how consumers perceive the product quality, get influenced by expert opinion, and manage perceived risk when deciding whether or not to buy. Three potential drivers will be investigated in this project for their impact on willingness to buy: Country of Origin image, brand image, and expert opinion. Further, the framework suggests that the relationship between these three drivers and consumers’ willingness to buy is mediated by their perceived risk. Basing on the requirement of developing a theoretical framework to answering these questions, it is foreseen that both practical and implicative results derived from the OTC pharmaceutical market can complete the answer from an experienced consumers’ perspective, therefore this study is adopting the questionnaire set methodology to survey among Vitamin C consumer who are experienced with this dietary supplement. Aligning the survey in respect to prior authority research, the measurement items in this survey were adapted from pre-existing scales of operationalization. A questionnaire will be constructed to assess 5 main constructs. They are: 1) Product Country Image 2) Brand Image 3) Expert Opinion 4) Perceived Risk 5) Willingness to buy. These 5 constructs constitute the main proposed conceptual model. All constructs in this questionnaire use a seven-point Likert scale. The research will draw on existing definitions and measures adapted from the consumer behavior and marketing literatures. The theoretical framework and related hypotheses will be tested using primary survey data by using a statistical analysis software package for interpretation and conclusion of findings. Questions for Product Country Image were operationalized and adapted from Roth and Romeo (1992), consisting of four items. Questions such as “How would you rate innovativeness of Cosmeceuticals products from Country of Origin” were specially designed to capture consumers’ perception of products based on their imaginative association of a product to a country. Brand Image, comprising of five items, is borrowed from Robert (2004) and Cho (2011) which are semantically designed to capture meaningfulness of brand perception to the end user. An example of a question is: “The brand adds value to my life”. Four items are asked in the Expert Opinion segment in order to analyze the pedagogical impact of experts’ persuasiveness, operationalized from Aquevegue (2006), such as “The opinion of the experts about the product is (very good to very bad)”. Perceived risk, being measured by 5 statements such as “You want to enjoy better health” in the degree of respondents’ view is heavily adapted and modified from Chang (2007). This segment is directly engineered to identify and understand expectations associated with products from a consumers’ viewpoint resulting in final purchase action. Such expectations can be understood as benefits or the avoidance of threats that are realized through consumption. Applying the hierarchy of needs model (Maslow 1954) could help to reveal and orchestrate consumers’ purchase motivations resulting in valuable marketing insights. Finally, the construct of Willingness to buy, consisting of five items such as “The likelihood of purchasing Cosmeceuticals is (very low to very high)”, is adapted from Dodds and Monroe (1991). Overall, we expect the results of this project to illuminate our understanding of how perceived risk influences consumer decisions in the dietary supplements market. Specifically the results should shed light on the effect of three key drivers of perceived risk, as well as of a key outcome of perceived risk.
본 연구는 단색광, 혼합광, 광조사 주기에 대해 총 14가지 실험구를 설치하여 적치마 상추의 생육특성 안토시아닌 및 비타민 C 함량에 대해 조사하였다. 그 결과, 단색광 처리에서 적색광은 초장, 엽수, 지상부 생체중, 청 색광은 근장과 엽폭을 증대 시키는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 적색광은 상추의 지상부, 생육에 청색광은 지하부 생육에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 혼합광의 경우 적색광과 백색광 혼합광에서 초장, 엽수, 엽폭, 지상부와 지하부의 생체중 및 건물중이 가장 높게 나타났다. 이는 백색광이 LED광원에 비해 광파장 대역이 다양하기 때문에 생육이 좋은 것으로 판단된다. 근장과 엽록소 함량에 대해서는 적색광과 청색광의 비율이 7 : 3에서 가장 양호한 결과를 보였다. 광조사 시간에 따른 생육특 성은 광주기가 15/09h에서 가장 효과적인 반응을 보였다. 안토시아닌 함량의 경우, 단색광에서는 463nm의 청색 광 처리에서 가장 높았고, 혼합광에서는 적색광과 청색광의 비율이 7 : 3일 때 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 광조 사 주기에 따른 실험에서는 광주기 18/06h의 처리구에서 안토시아니 함량이 가장 높았다. 비타민 C 함량은 적색 광과 청색광의 비율이 8 : 2일 때 1.77mg · L−1로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 백색광에서 1.26mg · L−1로 가장 적은 함량을 보였다.
돼지 수정란의 체외 생산 효율성 향상을 위해서는 배발생율과 더불어 고품질의 배를 조기에 선별해야 한다. 체외 배 발생율에 대한 보고는 많지만, 고품질의 배를 선별할 수 있는 기술에 대한 연구는 거의 없었다. 본 연구에서는 돼지 난포란 유래 수정란의 체외배양에 있어서 배반포로의 배 발달과 생존에 미치는 Vitamin K1(vit K1) 첨가 농도, 시기 및 시간의 효과를 검토하였다. 1.0 μM, 3.0 μM 및 6.0 μM vit K1을 배양 1일째 24시간 첨가한 결과, 배반포 발달율이 시험군이 14.5 ± 4.3, 0.0 및 0.0%로써 대조군의 35.5 ± 3.2%에 비하여 유의하게 낮았고(p<0.05), 배반포의 생존율도 대조군이 31.8 ± 2.6%로써 시험군의 22.2 ± 2.9, 0.0 및 0.0%에 비하여 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 상기 첨가 농도에서 첨가 시간을 달리한 결과, 1.0 μM 농도에서 6시간 처리군의 배반포 발달율과 생존율이 각각 26.5 ± 2.9% 및 47.2 ± 2.8%로써 가장 높았고 특히, 12시간 처리군보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 3.0 μM 농도에서는 대조군의 배발달율이 36.4 ± 3.1%로 가장 높았으나, 생존율은 3.0시간 첨가군이 41.7 ± 3.2%로 대조군에 비하여 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 6.0 μM 농도에서도 배발달율은 대조군(32.0 ± 2.8%), 생존율은 0.5시간 첨가군(42.9 ± 1.8%)이 가장 높았다. 각각의 vit K1 첨가 농도와 시간을 기준으로 서로 다른 배양 시기에 첨가한 결과, 1.0 μM 6시간 첨가군에서는 배반포 발달율은 배양 4일째 첨가군, 생존율은 배양 2일째 첨가군이 가장 높았다. 한편, 3.0 μM 3.0시간 및 6.0 μM 0.5시간 첨가군에서는 배양 4일째 첨가군의 배반포 발달율(59.5 ± 4.1% 및 50.0 ± 3.6%)과 생존율(72.7 ± 5.4% 및 79.2 ± 4.0%)이 대조군과 다른 시험군에 비하여 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 한편, vit K1 첨가에 따른 배반포의 세포 수를 조사한 결과, 첨가군(1.0 μM 6시간 배양 2일째, 3.0 μM 3.0시간 배양 4일째 및 6.0 μM 0.5시간 배양 6일째)이 53.4 ± 5.8, 49.4 ± 3.8 및 51.5 ± 4.5개로써 대조군의 40.2 ± 2.3개에 비하여 유의하게 많았다(p<0.05). 그러나 사멸세포 수는 시험군이 3.2 ± 0.9∼3.7 ± 2.1개로써 대조군의 4.2 ± 1.2개보다 적었으나, 유의차는 없었다. 세포 사멸 유도 유전자인 Bax mRNA 발현은 처리군과 대조군은 비슷하였으나, 세포 사멸 억제 유전자인 Bcl-xL mRNA 발현은 처리군이 대조군보다 높았고 특히, 6.0 μM 0.5시간 배양 4일째 첨가군이 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과로부터 돼지 미성숙 난포란 유래 수정란의 체외 배양에 vit K1의 첨가는 배반포의 생존율과 세포수 증가에 효과적이었다. 그 이유에 대해서는 아직 많은 부분이 밝혀져야 되겠지만, 고품질의 배반포 조기 선발에는 활용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.
We have investigated the influence of system composition and preparation conditions on the particle size of vitamin E acetate (VE)-loaded nanoemulsions prepared by PIC(phase inversion composition) emulsification. This method relies on the formation of very fine oil droplets when water is added to oil/surfactant mixture. The oil-to-emulsion ratio content was kept constant (5 wt.%) while the surfactant-to-oil ratio (%SOR) was varied from 50 to 200 %. Oil phase composition (vitamin E to medium chain ester ratio, %VOR) had an effect on particle size, with the smallest droplets being formed below 60 % of VOR. Food-grade non-ionic surfactants (Tween 80 and Span 80) were used as an emulsifier. The effect of f on the droplet size distribution has been studied. In our system, the droplet volume fraction, given by the oil volume fraction plus the surfactant volume fraction, was varied from 0.1 to 0.3. The droplet diameter remains less than 350 nm when O/S is fixed at 1:1. The droplet size increases gradually as the increasing the volume fraction. Particle size could also be reduced by increasing the temperature when water was added to oil/ surfactant mixture. By optimizing system composition and homogenization conditions we were able to form VE-loaded nanoemulsions with small mean droplet diameters (d < 50 nm). The PIC emulsification method therefore has great potential for forming nanoemulsion-based delivery systems for food, personal care, and pharmaceutical
applications.
In order to use as a new functional honey, we analyzed the chemical components including the organic compounds, minerals and vitamic C of hairy vetch that is knowing as eco-friendly green manure crop recently in South Korea. The condensed rate of methanol extraction in honey was 84.48% and main organic compounds that extract by organic solvents in GC-MS analysis were trichloromethan, acetidin, propyl carbinol, methylolpropane, cyclopentane, dipropylmethane etc. Also, main aromatic compounds that extract by organic solvents in SPME analysis were hydrazine, n-dimethylhydrazine, carbamide resin, benzoguanamine, gentanol, cyclotrisiloxane, enanthaldehyde, heptaldehyde, silane, cinchoninaldehyde, quininaldehyde and so on. As proximate composition, crude ash content was higher than acacia honey(0.05%) by 0.2613%, and crude protein was higher than acacia honey (0.10%) by 0.28%, and crude fat was higher content than acacia honey(0.44%) by 0.57%. Free sugar that analyze by HPLC consisted of fructose 35.31%, glucose 26.96%, and total sugars was 62.27%. Minerals by ICP analysis were detected total 22 kinds, K 4.9185ppm > Na 3.4915ppm > Zn 3.178ppm > Ca 1.8575ppm > B 0.8495 ppm > Mg 0.5635ppm etc. Vitamin C was not detected and antioxidation test result by DPPH freeradical scavenge effect was slight compared to acacia honey.

Also, main aromatic compounds that extract by organic solvents in SPME analysis were octacosane, pyrobenzol, hexatriacontane, cyclopentasiloxane, pelargonaldehyde, 3-azabenzonitrile, 4-pyridinecarbonitrile, nicotinonitrile, cyclohexatriene and many more. As proximate composition, crude ash content was higher than acacia honey(0.05%) by 0.698%, and crude protein was higher than acacia honey(0.10%) by 0.27%, but crude fat was lower content than acacia honey(0.44%) by 0.26%. Free sugar that analyze by HPLC consisted of fructose 37.47%, glucose 25.22%, and total sugars was 62.69%. Minerals by ICP analysis were detected total 19 kinds, K 12.575ppm > Na 1.8155ppm > Zn 1.3325ppm > Ca 0.6335ppm etc. Vitamin C was not detected and antioxidation test result by DPPH freeradical scavenge effect was hardly but high somewhat compared to acacia honey.
