Many companies have endeavored to build a quality cost management system in order to be more productive business organization. This study shows the detail procedures of constructing a quality cost management system which is believed to be appropriate for their business system. That is, the method to calculate the quality cost and the linking logic between the quality improvement and its financial impact are explained based on a particular industry case. In this sense, the changes of business performance measures such as market share, customer satisfaction, etc. were analyzed in the longitudinal perspective for the consecutive 4 years (2003~2006). As the quantitative results of this study, the improvement activities based on the quality cost management system resulted in the 32% reduction of quality cost and the 121% increase of business profit, compared 2005 with 2006. In the qualitative perspective, the successive practice of quality cost reduction and the job information sharing in business unit were obtained by providing the best practices and bench-marking cases. Finally, the customer satisfaction has increased so that the customer-friendly management system has been accomplished. With these efforts, the 3.4% increase of the market share and the 3% increase of the customer satisfaction were obtained in 2005. As the future study, the current study can be extended to the concept of COPQ (cost of poor quality) which focuses on the hidden quality cost of the whole business activities. Such extension of analysis will help us understand the wider role of a quality cost management system in the business.

Through this study, this research suggests main issues of building and operating logistic systems and the effective way of utilizing the systems in SMB logistics companies.
The objective of this study was to analyze the effects of non-offered meal on waste reduction in foodservice. To this end, the quantity of non-offered meal before and after Quality Improvement(QI) activity was analyzed, and employee satisfaction with foodservice was investigated. Statistical data analyses can be summarized as follows: The daily quantity of non-offered meal decreased significantly after QI(p<0.001)(27.80±3.14㎏ before QI and 7.22±4.17㎏ after QI). Among 7 items related to employee satisfaction, kindness of meal service staffs improved significantly after QI(p<0.05)(4.05±0.74 before QI and 4.21±0.17 after QI). No significant difference was found in the variety of menus, or cooking/seasoning of food, and there seemed to be greater satisfaction with taste of food after QI.
An Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) installed in a nuclear power plant is the primary power source, supplying AC power to Class 1E power systems when the main turbine generator and offsite power source are not available. Thus, reliability of the EGD is essential for plant safety and availability. In this paper, the EDG is selected for a Long Term Asset Management (LTAM) strategy and the results are summarized briefly. The LTAM strategy is intended to provide an effective long-term planning tool for minimizing unplanned capability loss and then optimizing maintenance programs and capital investments consistent with plant safety and an identified plant operating strategy. Such an operating strategy might include license renewal or retaining the option for license renewal.
본 연구는 휴양림의 기능 향상을 위한 식생관리 방안을 제시하고자 경기도 남양주시 수동면 외방리 축령산자연휴양림을 대상으로 실시하였다. 휴양림 내 등산로 및 산책로 주변의 주요 분포종인 잣나무 인공식생지와 자연식생지인 낙엽활엽수림의 생물다양성 조사 및 분석 등을 실시하여 휴양림 기능향상을 위해 식생유형별 관리를 위한 관리방안을 도출하였다. 연구방법은 생물다양성 측면에서 식생관리, 현존식생 및 비오톱 현황, 식생유형 구분, 식생구조, 야생조류 서식구조 등의 기능검토를 실시하였다. 휴양림내 식생유형 구분은 현존식생과 비오톱현황을 기초로 잣나무 인공조림지와 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림으로 크게 구분할 수 있으며, 등산로 및 산책로 주변 대표식생 조림여부, 식생관리 등에 따라 4개의 유형(관리되지 않은 인공 잣나무림, 관리된 인공 잣나무림, 단풍나무 비율이 높은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림, 관리된 낙엽활엽수림)으로 구분하였다. 식생구조 분석결과 종다양도는 낙엽활엽수림이 인공 잣나무림 보다 종다양도가 높게 나타났고 관리되지 않은 상태가 관리된 상태보다 종다양도지수가 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 야생조류 서식구조 분석결과 관리된 잣나무림은 층위구조가 빈약한 단층으로 식재되어 다양한 야생조류의 이동통로로서 부적합한 구조이고, 관리되지 않은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림, 잣나무림 등이 양호한 야생조류 서식구조를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 생물다양성 기능 검토에 근거하여 관리유형을 크게 보전관리와 복원관리로 구분할 수 있었다. 보전관리 중 기존낙엽활엽수림 유지유형은 자연상태의 낙엽활엽수림 지역, 관리된 낙엽활엽수림 지역 등이 속하며 생태적 관리유형은 관리되지 않은 인공 잣나무림 지역을 설정하였고, 복원관리지역인 생태적 복원유형은 관리된 인공 잣나무림 지역으로 설정하여 식생관리 유형별 관리방안을 제시하였다.

Unknowingly, the relationship between IT departments and their internal customers becomes that of client-supplier based on the mechanisms of marketing and competition. In addition, due to enhanced focus on the customer in the planning, development, and delivery of information service, IT service management(ITSM) has become increasingly important. These days IT management is focusing particularly on the 'de-facto' standard ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) for implementing ITSM. It is linked as a part of CobiT’s 'deliver and support' domain, which is a framework of IT governance, and ISO/IEC 20000 is a unique international certification standards on the ITSM. This paper proposes the strategy and procedure for ITSM implementation based on ITIL with consideration of IT governance structure for manufacturing industries. It also presents a case study to share the lessons learned and results of an ITSM project.

본 연구는 전사적 프로젝트 관리 시스템(예:동부그룹)구축 초기 설계 단계에서 주요 이해관계자로부터 시스템 이용시 반영하고자 하는 주요 기능을 QFD를 활용 도출 하고자 하였다.주요 이해관계자로는 임원,중간 관리자,일반 사용자,시스템 관리자등 4그룹으로 나눠 진행되었다. 설문조사 결과 고객의 원하는 기능은 크게 주요 어플리케이션 항목,시스템 보안,데이터 분석으로 그룹핑 할 수 있었으며 고객 요구에 맞는 품질 특성으로는 시스템 사용자 편의성,데이터 신뢰성, 데이터 분석 용의성 등이 도출 되었다. 요구 사항과 품질 특성을 매트릭스로 각 항목간 대응관계를 표시해서 품질표를 작성한 결과 고객들은 시스템 설계시 최우선 핵심 항목으로는 업무에 맞는 기능 제공과 프로그램 오류 방지, 다양한 조건 검색을 원하는 것으로 나타났다.
중저준위 방사성폐기물의 영구처분을 위하여 건설되는 월성원자력환경관리센터의 1단계 폐쇄후 안전성평가에 대하여 기술하였다. 처분시설의 건설운영허가를 위하여 작성된 안전성평가에 대하여 평가개요, 처분시설의 폐쇄개념, 처분부지에 대한 지하수 유동특성을 이용하여 평가를 위한 시나리오의 개발과정과 도출된 평가대상 시나리오에 대한 개념을 기술하였다. 폐쇄후 안전성평가 모델링을 위한 평가도구, 입력인자와 개별 시나리오에 대한 핵종누출 모델링, 기체발생 및 기체이동 모델링, 인간침입 모델링과 생태계 모델링에 대하여 기술하였다. 처분시설의 폐쇄후 안전성 평가시나리오에 대하여 국내 규제치를 만족하는 것으로 평가되었으며 향후 처분시설 안전성에 대한 불확실성 저감과 신뢰성 증진을 위한 노력을 지속적으로 수행할 예정이다.
