        The government have plans to improve the railway transport capacity and transport hub for the sustainable national transport and logistics system. Specially, there are much efforts to improve transportation capacity such as high speed transportation of rail freight, enlargement of BT train, development of double stack train, etc. between railway transport hubs. If the transport capacity between railway logistics hubs is increased as planned, we must increase the handling capacity of railway hub terminals. But there are limits to enlarge the terminal infrastructure because of investment scale, location circumstances and urban development plans. To ensure the capacity, with the minimum required enlargement of infrastructure, it is necessary to extremely increase the efficiency of terminal operations. For improving the efficiency, we have to introduce the efficient terminal operation systems based on u-IT and operation optimize technologies. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems of railway terminals(including ICD) and suggest the concept of intelligent railway terminal and the construction components of technology.

        RFID has been used as an identification tool substituting bar-code and its application areas are increasing due to its suitability in ubiquitous environment. This paper reviews RFID applications in some areas in which a serious amount of applications were reported such as material handling, physical distribution, and supply chain management of perishable products. Now, The companies are building an integrated SCM(Supply Chain Management) system that is able to manage and operate procurement, production, distribution & logistics activity. Among the IT infra, The RFID technique is received special attention for this successful SCM System, continuously it is being researched and developed. Also, they recognize RFID techniques that offer various services at supply chain flow, create value of company. This study propose implications in other industry for biz model development and direction based on RFID in many industry through case study for development of the distribution logistics information system on using RFID.

        The picking process in distribution center is one of the most difficult and time-consuming process. The improvement of picking productivity is a core element which decides efficiency of the distribution center. The time to shipping on vehicles from receiving depends on the arrangement of items or picking methods. The Pick to Light system typically is used to improve the efficiency of order picking. In some cases the layout design of Pick to Light system has been performed rather than scientific analysis by a common experience. Therefore, this study analyzed the impact of picking performance by the zone arrangement method in order picking process of Pick to Light system.

        Korean logistics industry have been focused on transportation business. However, with the expansion of the electronic commerce and on-line shopping, delivery service is now dramatically growing. Despite the expansion of logistics market, the domestic logistics industry have significant structural problems such as low productivity comparing with the advanced countries, relatively high cost and shortage of human resources and lack of professionalism of people in the industry. Logistics companies reallocate employees, use subcontractors, expand consignment and training the employees to overcome the labor shortages but it has some limits. In recognition of the importance of labor in the logistics industry, financial support and investment have increased. Logistics companies tend to hire consultants, set up logistics department or R&D center in order to establish highly productive logistics process and system so it is viewed that there will be considerable demands of human resources in the logistics industry. This study indicates implications and development direction of human resources in the logistics industry by looking into prospect and characteristic of the industry, employment status, training programs and qualification requirements.

        The air logistics process is complex and needs many informations because various agencies participate in the logistics service and many stakeholders in air logistics. But it is hard to improve the infra of facilities because of an enormous expense, so air logistics process has to simplify for growing air freight. Nevertheless some documents are same, they should be changed due to different format. Also documents have to change even though different documents have same informations. Consequently, errors are increased because the names of the same data are different from each other and stakeholders have to reproduce the documents. In order to mitigate these problems, we selected documents and analyzed document data for the interface optimization in general air logistics process. Next, we unified the data names and defined contents of data. Also we set the type of the defined data on DB type, and gave the code to the defined data. It made easy to exchange informations among the stakeholders to match documents corresponding with the defined data. Finally, the simulation of air logistics processes was performed the quantitative analysis of the data that occur in the air logistics. In conclusion, we expect to reduce the inefficiency such as reproduction of data and the errors by improving the interface of information.

        항공물류 분야의 개선을 위해 공항에서 연구와 투자를 통하여 공항 선진화를 이루고 있고, 우리나라도 지속적으로 증가하는 항공물류 분야의 개선이 필요하다고 인식하고 개선을 위한 방안을 연구하고 있지만, 항공물류 전반에 걸쳐 통합적인 개선이 이루어지지 않고 개별적이거나 부분적인 시스템 개선으로 중복 투자와 비효율성의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 현행 항공물류 프로세스를 수 출입으로 구분하여 분석하였고, 시스템 통합 사례들을 검토하여 프로세스 상에서 발생하는 문서들을 분석하였다. 이중 인터페이스 대상 문서를 선정하고 문서의 데이터 내용과 형식을 정의하였다. 정의한 데이터의 형식을 대상 문서에 코드로 적용시키고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 데이터 저장량을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 항공물류 이해관계자간의 정보 교환이 용이해지고 동일한 정보를 재생성하거나 재가공하는 비효율성을 감소시킬 것으로 기대된다.

        Expanded muti-source Weber problem (EWP), which introduced in this paper, is a reverse logistics network design problem to minimize the total transportation cost from customers thorough regional center to central center. Decision factor of EWP are the locations of regional centers and a central center. We introduce a GRASP heuristics for the EWP. In the suggested GRASP, an expanded iterative location allocation method (EILA) is introduced based on the Cooper's iterative location allocation method[3]. For the initial solution of GRASP, allocation first seed (AFSeed) and location first seed (LFSeed) are developed. The computational experiment for the objective value shows that the LFSeed is better than the AFSeed. Also the calculating time of the LFSeed is better than that of the AFSeed.

        Recently, according to changes of global logistics environment, various issues have been presenting. These issues are including the pursuit of low cost-high added value, the realization of sustainable logistics system, the protection of environment, and the development of ubiquitous techniques. To cope with these environment changes and improve the national logistics system, the government have carried out various logistics policies and pushed ahead development of national logistics information network. But still, from a view-point of national logistics, there are several inefficient elements such as information inconnection and code/data unstandardization.
