        The concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odor-inducing substances were measured using selected ion flow tube mass spectrometers (SIFT-MS) and a drone equipped with an air quality monitoring system. SIFT-MS can continuously measure the concentration of VOCs and odor-inducing substances in realtime without any pre-treating steps for the sample. The vehicle with SIFT-MS was used for real-time measurement of VOC concentration at the site boundaries of pollution sources. It is possible to directly analyze VOCs concentration generated at the outlets by capturing air from the pollution sources with a drone. VOCs concentrations of nine spots from Banwol National Industrial Complex were measured by a vehicle equipped with SIFT-MS and were compared with the background concentration measured inside the Metropolitan Air Quality Management Office. In three out of the nine spots, the concentration of toluene, xylene, hydrogen sulfide, and methyl ethyl ketone was shown to be much higher than the background concentration. The VOCs concentrations obtained using drones for high-concentration suspected areas showed similar tendencies as those measured using the vehicle with SIFTMS at the site boundary. We showed that if both the drone and real-time air quality monitoring equipment are used to measure VOCs concentration, it is possible to identify the pollutant sources at the industrial complex quickly and efficiently check sites with high concentrations of VOCs.

        In this study, real-time monitoring of air quality using a real-time mobile monitoring system was conducted to identify the emission characteristics and current status of air pollutants and odorous substances that are mainly generated in domestic dyeing industrial areas and to trace the pollutant sources. The concentration of toluene in the industrial area was detected up to 926.4 ppb, which was 3 to 4 times higher than that of other industrial areas. The concentration of methylethylketone was 124.7 ppb and the concentration of dichloromethane was 129.5 ppb. Acrolein concentration was highest at E point at 521.6 ppb, methanol concentration was highest at D point at 208.8 ppb, and acetone concentration was highest at M and N points at 549.3 ppb. The most frequently detected concentration of pollutants in the air quality monitoring results in the industrial area was, in descending order, toluene > methanol > acrolein > dichloromethane > acetone, which was similar to the chemical emissions used in the industrial area by the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register data. The concentration of odorous substances measured in real time was compared with the concentration of minimum detection, and the concentration of hydrogen sulfide was about 10 times higher than the concentration of minimum detection at A point, which was judged to be the main odorous cause of A point. In the future, if the real-time mobile measurement system is constructed to automatically connect wind direction/wind speed, PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register) data and SEMS (Stack Emission Management System) data, etc., it was judged that more accurate monitoring could be performed.

        As indoor activities continue to increase, the importance of indoor air is emphasized. Moreover, children's activities are emphasized as being vulnerable. In this study, vocal organic compounds (VOCs) and CO2 in the indoor air were analyzed among children aged 4 to 7 years attending day care centers in Seoul. In the case of VOCs, the average concentration measured during a period of 24 hours in an asthmatic home was 143.9 (μg/m3). The average concentration measured during a period of 24 hours in the asthma and rhinitis home was 146.7 (μg/m3). In CO2, the average concentration measured during a period of 24 hours in the asthmatic home was 665.9 (ppm). The average concentration measured during a period of 24 hours in the asthma and rhinitis home was 695.9 (ppm). In this study, asthma symptoms increased as the concentration of indoor pollutants increased. Exposure of VOCs (μg/ m3) and CO2 (ppm) among environmental factors shows that respiratory symptoms such as asthma can be induced.

        본 연구에서는 한국원자력연구원의 핵연료가공시설 굴뚝 내에서 9곳의 시료채취 위치를 선정하여 ANSI/HPS N13.1-1999 지침에서 제시하는 기준에 따라 그 적절성을 평가하였다. 유체를 포함한 다중물리 해석 소프트웨어인 COMSOL을 활용하여 유동교란 지점으로부터 굴뚝 직경의 배수 높이 위치(L/D) 단면에서의 속도분포, 유동각 및 10 μm 크기의 입자분포 등의 항 목에 대하여 기준만족 여부를 평가하였다. 평가 결과, 5 L/D 이상에서 속도분포에 대한 기준을 만족했으며, 평균 유동각에 대한 기준은 모든 위치에서 만족했다. 입자분포에 대한 기준은 5 L/D 와 9 L/D 에서 만족하였으나, 그 분포가 일부에서 기 준을 만족하지 못하였다. 균일한 입자분포를 얻기 위한 방법으로 굴뚝 내 정적 혼합장치(static mixer)와 둘레링(perimeter ring)을 추가하는 것을 제안하고, 이에 대한 평가를 수행하였다. 정적 혼합장치를 추가한 경우에는 5-10 L/D, 둘레링을 추가 한 경우에는 5 L/D 및 7-10 L/D 에서 입자분포에 대한 기준을 만족하였다. 보완을 위하여 추가한 2 가지 조건에서, 입자분포 에 대한 기준을 만족하는 지점은 속도분포 및 평균 유동각에 대한 기준 역시 만족하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 사 용한 방법은 신규시설뿐만 아니라, 현장입증시험 수행이 어려운 운영중인 시설에 대하여 시료채취 위치의 적절성을 평가하 기 위한 방법으로 활용될 수 있다.

        실내 공기질 관리의 중요성이 대두되면서 쾌적한 실내환경에 도움을 주는 공기청정 기능과 습도 조절 기능을 동시에 갖춘 제습기와 공기청정기가 각광받고 있다. 하지만 오랜 기간 동안 공기정화제품을 사용하게 될 시에는 필터가 오염되어 본연의 기능을 상실하게 되는 것으로 알려져 있지만 이에 대한 구체적인 연구나 보고는 드문 편이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 가정과 사무실 등에서 사용한 공기정화제품을 수거하여 주요 부위별 미생물 오염도 및 주요 오염 미생물들을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 4 종류의 공기정화제품에서 오염도가 높은 부위는 필터부위, 물이 직접 닿는 부위 및 공기가 외부로부터 직접적으로 들어오는 입구부위 등에서 미생물학적 오염도가 가장 높았다. 하지만 공기정화제품은 사용하는 환경과 조건에 따라서 미생물학적 오염도 및 오염 미생물의 성상은 각각 다르게 나타났다. 하지만 이들 공기정화제품들에는 공통적으로 Staphylococcus sp., Micrococcus sp. 그리고 Bacillus sp.의 세균과 Cladosporium sp. 및 Penicillium sp.의 진균이 공통적으로 오염되어 있는 우점종인 것으로 분석되었다.

        The children of daycare center are sensitive to indoor environmental pollution. This study was a preliminary investigation for improving the environmental and healthy quality of daycare centers. The sampling of sites in daycare centers was undertaken three times such as day-morning (10:00-12:00), afternoon (16:00-20:00), following dawn (04:00-08:00)-at 21 daycare centers located in Seoul, Korea from April, 2012 to July, 2012. The mean concentrations of TVOC were 255.2, 217.0, and 439.4 μg/m3 at morning, afternoon, and following dawn, respectively. The daycare center indoor/outdoor ratios on the most targeted volatile organic compounds were above 1.0 except that for carbon tetrachloride, which was almost 1.0. Significant correlations (p<0.01) were observed between indoor and outdoor carbon tetrachloride, which implies that indoor carbon tetrachloride could be largely accounted for by outdoor sources. The other targeted indoor volatile organic compounds such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, styrene, xylenes, chloroform showed no significant correlations with that of outdoor.

        본 연구는 1990년부터 2000년까지 11년의 기간동안 서울지역 대기오염 자동측정망을 중심으로 관측된 오존자료 중 환경기준을 초과한 자료만을 선별적으로 분리한 후 분석에 활용하였다. 이와 같은 분석결과를 토대로 서울시의 4대 권역별 (NE, SE, SW, NW) 기준초과양상을 여러 가지 관점에서 비교해 보았다. 24시간을 주기로 초과농도의 발생 경향을 비교해 본 결과, SW지역이 다른 지역에 비해 오존의 총 발생시간이 더 많은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 발생빈도를 중심으로 4대 지역에 대한 월별 경향성을 비교했을 때 NW지역에서 여타 지역보다 최고빈도의 발생시기가 약간 뒤처지는 현상이 나타났다. 해를 거듭할수록 오존의 환경기준 초과발생횟수가 증가하는 경향을 감지할 수 있다. 특히 이와 같은 현상은 NE, SE를 포함하는 서울의 동쪽지역에서 두드러지는 것으로 타나났다. 전체 11년동안 초과치의 최고 발생빈도를 지역별로 비교해 보면, NE지역에서 1998년에 그리고 나머지 세지역은 모두 2000년에 나타났다. 이처럼 오존의 환경기준 초과횟수는 최근에 들어 급격히 증가하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이에 반해, 초과농도의 크기에 대한 결과를 보면, 오히려 90년대 초반에 고농도가 집중된 데 반해, 90년대 후반에는 상대적으로 초과농도의 크기가 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 전체 관측기간동안 서울지역에서 관측된 평균 기온자료를 이용하여 오존초과자료와의 상관성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 대체로 크기나 빈도에 상관없이 모두 기온과 일정 수준 이상 양의 상관성을 유지하는 것이 확인되었다. 전반적으로 기온의 변화는 오존의 초과농도발생과 상당 수준 연계되었다는 점을 확인 할 수 있었다.완화시켜주는 효과도 있어 표준시를 안정적으로 운용하는 데에도 크게 기여하고 있는 것이다. 또한 이 I-시간은 UTC와 정수 시간차를 유지하면서 안정적으로 운영하려는 세계 각국의 표준시 운영 경향과도 잘 일치한다. 따라서 우리 나라가 태양시에 맞게 H*-시간을 사용해야 한다는 것은 태양시와 비슷한 표준시를 사용한다는 장점은 인정되지만, 그에 못지 않게 UTC와는 비 정수 시간차 시간을 운용하게 되며, 또한 하절기에는 서머타임을 도입해서라도 태양시보다 1시간 빠른 시간을 이용해야 한다는 필요성을 유발하게 된다는 점에서 결코 바람직하지 않다고 생각된다.혼합 처리 시에는 낮게 나타났다 이러한 실험 결과를 통하여 칼슘이 1.2 mM, 1.8 mM 농도로 존재하는 경우 카페인에 의한 골모세포의 염기성 인산분해효소 활성과 IL-1 β의 활성 억제 효과가 어느 정도 회복되나, 2.5 mM 고농도의 칼슘은 억제된 활성을 회복시키지 못함을 확인하였다.지 않고 다양한 분야 즉 디자인, 생활 속에서의 벽지문양과 포장지, 예술작품 등에 활용되고 있음을 체험함으로써 수학이 실생활에 광범위하게 활용되고 있음을 알게 하였다. 역으로 생활 속에서의 테셀레이션을 통해 수학적 개념을 찾는 과정을 통해 수학이 아름다우면서도 실용적이라는 생각을 심어줄 수 있었다. 셋째, 테셀매니아, GSP, 캐브리, 거북기하 등 평소 수업에서는 활용도가 적은 컴퓨터 소프트웨어를 활용함으로써 컴퓨터 소프트웨어 자체에서 오는 호기심뿐만이 아니라 직접 조작하여 테셀레이션 작품과 개념을 익히고 새로운 작품과 학습을 해 내는 과정을 통해 자신감과 성취감 등에 있어

        Changes in the numbers of air-borne spores of Alternaria mali causing the Alternaria leaf spot of apple were investigated in apple orchards, by monitoring their AM- toxin(host-specific toxin) producing ability. Most of the air-borne Alternaria in apple orchards were not AM-toxin producers. In culture, only about 2% of Alternaria isolates from a commercially managed apple orchards produced the toxin that was highly toxic only to susceptible leaves.

        This study presented problems and improvements in the quality control of an air monitoring network, using Gyeongnam as an example. 1) The effective utilization rate of the air monitoring was 95%, which showed good management, but the maximum of 2% was indicated by zero or detection limit among measurement data. 2) In the equivalence evaluation of PM2.5, the slope and intercept satisfy the evaluation criteria; however, 1% of the PM2.5/PM10 ratios were outliers. 3) All air monitoring stations meet the quality control standards; however, the management status is added to the quality inspection, management system is unified and the related budget is expanded, and systematic commission management is required.

        The characteristics of PM10, PM2.5 and Ratio(PM2.5/PM10) of 11 urban air monitoring stations in Gyeongnam were analyzed for the last 3 years(`15~`17). The average of the all stations was PM10 45 μg/㎥, PM2.5 24 μg/㎥ and Ratio 0.54, and annual reduction rates were PM10 -2.9%, PM2.5 –2.7% and Ratio –1.2%, respectively. The seasonal characteristics of PM10 were spring 54 μg/㎥ > winter 48 μg/㎥ > summer/autumn 40 μg/㎥, PM2.5 were spring/winter 26 μg/㎥ > summer 23 > autumn 22 μg/㎥ and Ratio were summer 0.56 > winter 0.55 > autumn 0.54 > spring 0.51, respectively. The hourly characteristics of PM10 were 11 μg/㎥ higher than 09:00~12:00 at 03:00~06:00, PM2.5 were 6 μg/㎥ higher than 09:00~12:00 at 17:00~18:00 and Ratio were 0.07 higher than 04:00~06:00 at 19:00. By site, the highest concentration of PM10 was YJ site 53 μg/㎥ and PM2.5 was HW site 28 μg/㎥. And Ratio at HD site showed the largest reduction from `15 0.62 to `17 0.52.

        Manufacturing and technology industries produce large amounts of air pollutants. Ulsan Metropolitan City, South Korea, is well-known for its large industrial complexes; in particular, the concentration of SO2 here is the highest in the country. We assessed SO2 monitoring sites based on conditional and joint entropy, because this is a common method for determining an optimal air monitoring network. Monthly SO2 concentrations from 12 air monitoring sites were collected, and the distribution of spatial locations was determined by kriging. Mean absolute error, Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), bias and correlation coefficients were employed to evaluate the considered algorithms. An optimal air monitoring network for Ulsan was suggested based on the improvement of RMSE.

        This study was conducted to determine correlations and similarity between the ozone and PM10 data of 19 air quality monitoring stations in Busan from 2013 to 2016, using correlation and cluster analyses. Ozone concentrations ranged from 0.0278±0.0148 ppm at Gwangbok to 0.0378±0.017 ppm at Taejongdae and were high in suburban areas, such as Yongsuri and Gijang, as well as in coastal areas, such as Jaw, Gwangan, Taejongdae and Noksan. PM10 concentrations ranged from 37.2±25.0 ug/m3 at Gijang to 58.3±32.2 ug/m3 at and Jangrim. PM10 concentrations were high in the west, exceeding the annual ambient air quality standard of 50 ug/m3. Positive correlations were observed for ozone at most stations, ranging from 0.61 between Taejongdae and Sujeong to 0.92 between Bugok and Myeongjang. The correlation coefficients of PM10 between stations ranged from 0.62 between Jangrim and Jaw to 0.9 between Gwangbok and Sujeong. Yeonsan, Daeyeon, and Myeongjang were highly correlated with other stations, so they needed to be reviewed for redundancy. Ozone monitoring stations were initially divided into two sections, north-western areas and suburban-coastal areas. The suburban-coastal areas were subsequently divided into three sections. PM10 monitoring stations were initially divided into western and remaining areas, and then the remaining areas were subsequently divided into three sections.

        The adequacy of urban air quality monitoring networks in the largest metropolitan city, Seoul was evaluated using multivariate analysis for SO2, NO2, CO, PM10, and O3. Through cluster analysis for 5 air pollutants concentrations, existing monitoring stations are seen to be clustered mostly by geographical locations of the eight zones in Seoul. And the stations included in the same cluster are redundantly monitoring air pollutants exhibiting similar atmospheric behavior, thus it can be seen that they are being operated inefficiently. Because monitoring stations groups representing redudancy were different depending on measurement items and several pollutants are being measured at the same time in each air monitoring station, it is seemed to be not easy to integrate or transmigrate stations. But it may be proposed as follows : the redundant stations can be integrated or transmigrated based on ozone of which measures are increasing in recent years and alternatively the remaining pollutants other than the pollutant exhibiting similar atmospheric behavior with nearby station’s can be measured. So it is considered to be able to operate air quality monitoring networks effectively and economically in order to improve air quality.

        Regional air quality regulation is a system that allows the Minister of Environment to designate the local area as air quality control region where the concentrations of air pollutants are exceeding the environmental standards, and the local governments that administrate the regulated area have to develop and practise a plan for reducing the air pollutants. From the data observed yearly by the monitoring stations in 8 provincial cities with more than 0.5 million people was judged the compliance with air quality standards in each municipality for the period of 2003 to 2013. As the result of investigation on air pollutants concentrations of each city, it was found that there was no station that exceeds the ambient air quality standards of CO, SO2 and 24-hour NO2. But all municipalities exceeded the standards of 8-hour O3, annual and 24-hour PM10, and therefore 8 municipalities can be designated to be under the local air regulation. For the annual NO2 were the monitoring sites necessary requirements for designation of the air quality regulation region in Cheongju, Cheonan, Daejeon and Gwangju area. Incase of 1-hour O3, some of stations in Pohang, Cheongju, Cheonan and Changwon area were over the designation standards for the air quality control region.

        Air quality monitoring networks are very important facilities to manage urban air pollution control and to set up an environmental policy. Since air quality monitoring network of Daegu was allocated from 1980s to mid-90s, there is need to reevaluate it and relocated its site. This study was evaluated the position of Daegu air quality monitoring station by unit environmental sensitivity index, grid emission rate, CAI (Comprehensive Air-quality Index) point. The investigation domain covered an area of 16 × 24 km centered at the metropolitan area of Daegu with grid spacing of 2 km. The location of alternative air quality monitoring networks was selected through optimization and quintiles analysis of total score. The result showed that all things considered, new air quality monitoring network need to install grid numbers 10, 28, 36, 37, 46. We also recommand three scenarios of alternative air quality monitoring network when considering unit environmental sensitivity index, emission rate and CAI point.

        The urban microscale wind field around the air quality monitoring station was investigated in order to check how a building complex influences it. For this study as the high density areas Jwa-dong and Yeonsan-dong monitoring sites in Busan were chosen. As the direction of inflow which is perpendicular to the building of the monitoring station was expected to cause the considerable variation of the wind field, that direction was selected. The model Envi-met was used as the diagnostic numerical model for this study. It is suitable for this investigation because Envi-met has the microscale resolution. After simulating it, on the leeward side around a building complex the decrease of flow velocity and some of vortexes or circulation area were discovered. In addition, on the edge of the top at the building and at the back of the building the upward flow was developed. If the sampling hole of monitoring site were located in this upward flow, it would be under the influence of upward flow from the near street.

        Long-term passive diffusive samplers(PDS) have been used to measure NO2 and SO2 concentrations at 21 sampling sites in Daejeon, Korea during the period of January 2000 - December 2002. The spatial distributions of annual NO2 and SO2 concentrations were mapped. Average annual NO2 concentration over the sampling period was 28.5±12.5 ppb, ranging from 1.2 to 81.7 ppb. Average annual SO2 concentration over the sampling period was 7.7±4.8 ppb, ranging from 0.6 to 26.8 ppb. On average, NO2 concentration was approximately 5.8%(1.6 ppb) larger in 2002. SO2 concentration was decreased by 13%(1.1 ppb) during the sampling period. The seasonal variation of NO2 and SO2 concentration was observed with a tendency to be higher in fall and winter. NO2 and SO2 concentrations measured at different site types(patterns of land use) show significant difference. The observed difference in concentration was associated with difference in emissions of NO2 from motor vehicles and SO2 by non-traffic fuel consumption for heating.
