Herb soy sauce was prepared by extracting rosemary, lemon balm, spearmint and peppermint at a low temperature in fresh soy sauce. The antioxidant and physicochemical properties of herb soy sauces were examined. Herb soy sauces were prepared by adding 2.5% (w/v) of herbs to fresh soy sauce at 60℃. The total polyphenol, DPPH%, ABTS% increased with extracting time but five minutes extraction with sufficient antioxidant herb soy sauce could be prepared. The antioxidant powers of herb soy sauces were higher in lemon balm extract, and the rosemary extract showed the lowest. Soy sauces added with herbs had lower pH and salinity (p<0.05) and higher sugar content than without herbs. The colorness according to the type of herbs showed significant difference.
본 연구는 4대강사업으로 이미 조성된 팔당 물안개공원을 재생하기 위해 허브 주제원을 도입 하고 이를 구체화하기 위한 전략적 방안을 주로 물리적 측면에서 다룬 내용이다. 기존공원의 재활성화를 위한 전략으로 현 공간구조를 오방(五方)의 전통적 장소 맥락에서 재해석하였으며, 이에 기초하여 단위 공간별 주제를 조직화하고 허브 식재방식과 시설요소를 ‘두텁게 하는 전략’을 활용하였다. 또한, 새롭게 도입될 주제원을 위한 스토리텔링의 장치요소를 제안함으로써 이용자와 환경 간에 다양한 감성 교류와 공감 강화를 겨냥하였다. 한편 입지특성에 의해 오랫동안 공공복지 관련 개발행위조차도 제한되어 온 계획대상지 주변 상황을 고려하여, 수도권 수변 휴양공간의 확충과 함께 지역주민의 소득증대와 공공복지활동에 탄력적으로 대응하는 환경을 구축하도록 하였다. 계획수립에 따른 예상효과가 상부 기관으로부터 인정받아 해당 예산을 이미 확보한 본 사업은 2022년 준공을 목표로 하고 있는바, 본 사업의 충실한 질적 완성을 기대한다.
Herbal medicine has been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, and such traditional medicine is still widely practiced today. Modern medicine makes use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for pharmaceutical drugs. In traditionally, Achyranthes aspera, Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) seed and Acanthopanax senticosus have been used for the treatment and prevention of bone-related diseases. In this study, we investigated the pharmacological effect of mixture of Achyranthes aspera, Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) seed and Acanthopanax senticosus and the other herbs. Two types of enzymes were used to enhance the extraction components of amino acid, mineral content, free sugar, and flavor recovery in extracting natural herbal mixtures(NME). We evaluated regulation of osteogenic differentiation in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells using alkaline phosphatase staining, alizarin red S staining and RT-PCR. The CCK-8 assay indicated that NME had no cytotoxicity but increased cell survival. In addition, NME promoted the mineralization and expression of osteogenic differention marker genes in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Therefore, NME has an effect of promoting proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cell.
Insecticidal and repellent effects of herb extracts were tested against Aedes albopictus and Ochlerotatus togoi that are common among mosquitoes which inhabit Korea. Herb extracts from Mentha×piperita, Ocimum basilicum, and Nepeta cataria were extracted using distilled water and 70% ethanol respectively. Both kinds of mosquitoes were raised in environment control rearing system with air temperature of 25℃, humidity of 70%, and light condition of 14:10(L:D). Insecticidal effect was verified by feeding extracts to mosquitoes(Park et al., 2016.); repellent effect, by measuring their radial distance from extract by time. N. cataria extract using distilled water as a solvent is predominant in insecticidal effect; O. basilicum, using 70% ethanol. In particular, N. cataria has the most outstanding repellent effect.
Osteoporosis is a metabolic bone disease that is characterized by low bone mass resulting from an increase in bone resorption relative to bone formation. The most current therapies for osteoporosis have focused on inhibiting bone resorption by osteoclasts. The purpose of this study is to develop new anabolic agents for treatment of osteoporosis that have fewer risks compared to conventional therapies. We searched the natural products that were derived from the traditional Asian medicines which have been used for treatment of bone related diseases. Icaritin is a flavonoid glycoside derived from the herb Epimedium which has beneficial effects on bone formation. To determine the effect of icaritin on bone formation, we examined the effect of icaritin on MC3T3-E1 cell proliferation and differentiation. For determining the effects of icaritin on proliferation, we performed the MTT assay using MC3T3-E1 cells. To evaluate whether icaritin could promote the osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity and mRNA expressions of Runx2, osteocalcin (OCN), RANKL, and osteoprotegerin (OPG) were determined. Icaritin increased MC3T3-E1 cell proliferation. Icaritin increased the ALP activity of MC3T3-E1 cells on 72 hour culture in osteogenic media. mRNA expression of Runx2 was increased after 24 hour culture with icaritin. mRNA expression of osteocalcin was increased after 72 hour culture with icaritin. In addition, icaritin increased the mRNA expressions of OPG and RANKL. However, icaritin increased the mRNA expression of OPG much more than that of RANKL, and then, it increased the OPG/RANKL ratio. These results suggest that icaritin promotes osteogenic differentiation of osteoblasts and decreases osteoclast formation regulated by osteoblasts.
본 논문은 재배가 용이하고 민간요법에서 다양하게 이용되고 있는 곰보배추의 에탄올 추출물이 화장품 소재로서 가능성이 있는지를 알아보기 위해 항산화, 미백효능에 대하여 관찰하였다. B16F10 세포에서 곰보배추 에탄올 추출물 25, 50, 100 ㎍/mL 농도에서 독성이 나타나지 않았다. DPPH radical 소거능을 관찰한 결과 모든 농도에서 소거능을 보여주었고, 50 ㎍/mL의 농도에서 65.2%, 100 ㎍/mL에서 77.6%의 강한 항산화 효능을 나타냈다. Raw 264.7 세포 내에서 ROS 생성 저해능을 관찰한 결과 농도 의존적으로 유의하게 나타냈고, 100 ㎍/mL 농도에서는 39.1% 억제하는 것으로 나타났다. NO생성 억제를 관찰하기 위해 Raw 264.7 세포에 곰보배추 에탄올 추출물을 25, 50, 100 ㎍/mL 농도 별로 첨가하여 관찰한 결과 농도 의존적으로 NO생성을 억제하였다. 시험관 내에서 L-DOPA와 L-tyrosine을 이용하여 곰보배추 에탄올 추출물이 tyrosinase activity를 농도 의존적으로 억제하는 것을 나타냈다. 세포 내에서 MSH를 가한 B16F10 세포에 곰보배추 에탄올 추출물을 25, 50, 100 ㎍/mL의 melanin 함량을 관찰한 결과 농도 의존적으로 억제하는 것을 보여주며 100 ㎍/mL에서 30.7%로 억제하였다. 따라서 곰보배추 에탄올 추출물이 항산화 기능이 있는 미백 기능성 화장품의 소재로서 개발 가능성이 충분히 있는 것으로 사료된다.
Lentinula edodes, a member of the Pleurotaceae, is a blood pressure and cholesterol lowering effect. Recently, research the reduction of irritation and the enhancement of function have been cultivation of natural resources using mushroom mycelium. For the development of food fermented with L. edodes mycelium of natural medicinal herb remnants, determined to be 20%, and the product were used after lyophilization. In this study, we were analyzed the contents of β-glucan and amino acids of fermented herb remnants by L. edoeds mycelials. β -Glucan is a type of polysaccharide that has immune-enhancing and is known to inhibit cancer cells. The content of β-glucan and total amino acids of fermented herb remnants by L. edoeds mycelials were 35.13% and 8,697.36 mg%, respectively. The content of essential amino acid from fermented herb remnants by L. edoeds mycelials was 3,226.85 mg%. Collectively, our findings suggest that fermented herb remnants by L. edoeds mycelials extract could be used as an chemo-preventive material for consumers.
본 실험은 140 mM HCl 60% Alcohol로 유도된 SD rat를 이용해 각 천연물질의 위염 예방효과를 보고자 하였다. 실험에 사용한 천연소재는 질려자, 갯기름나물, 삼채 뿌리이며, 분쇄기를 이용해 분말화 한 후 열수추출하여 사용했다. 그룹별 각 3마리씩 1군(정상대조군), 2군(증류수 투여 후 140 mM HCl 60% Alcohol 실험적 위염 유발), 3군(질려자 추출물 투여 후 140 mM HCl 60% Alcohol 실험적 위염 유발), 4군(갯기 름나물 추출물 투여 후 140 mM HCl 60% Alcohol 실험적 위염 유발), 5군(삼채뿌리 추출물 투여 후 140 mM HCl 60% Alcohol 실험적 위염 유발)으로 분류되어 각 군 별로 시험물질을 경구 투여했다. 3군, 4군 및 5군은 일주일 간 해당하는 천연물질은 300 mg/kg/day로 경구투여 하였다. 투여기간 후 마지막으로 시험물질을 투여한 후, 급성 위염 유발하고 1시간 뒤 희생시켜 위를 적출하였다. 급성 위염으로 인해 손상된 위 조직을 통해 손상면적 측정 및 병리학적 검사를 진행한 결과, 해당 실험은 천연소 재를 투여한 실험군에서 위 점막 손상 및 출혈이 감소하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 질려자, 갯기름나물, 삼채뿌리 추출물이 급성 위염 예방에 대한 효과를 가지고 있으며, 기능성 보조제 및 건강기능식품의 유용한 소재로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
The purpose of this experiment was designed to investigate the effects of medicinal herbs (MH) extracts on dementia induced by trimethyltin chloride (TMT) in rats. Six-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups; normal group (group 1), control group (group 2), MH extracts group (250, 500 mg/kg) (group 3, group 4) and positive control group (tacrine group, group 5). In the control group to induce dementia, a 2.5 mg/kg of TMT intraperitoneal injection was used for 14 days (1 per day) in the rats. In the MH extracts group 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg of MH extracts were medicated in an oral inoculation for 20 days (1 per day). After 30 minutes, a 2.5 mg/kg of TMT intraperitoneal injection, which causes dementia, was used for 14 days (1 per day). In the positive control group (Tacrine group) 10 mg/kg of Tacrine, the dementia treatment, was medicated in an oral inoculation. After 30 mintues, 1 mg/kg of TMT intraperitoneal injection, which causes dementia, was used for 14 days (1 per day). The present author observed the passive avoidance performance test, and memory ability test (Y maze test), the values of MDA, acetlycholinesterase (AchE) activity in the brain and antioxidant enzyme in serum. MH extracts significantly improved memory of AD model rats in the Y-maze test, and also significantly improved memory of AD model rats in the passive avoidance test. MH extracts significantly reduced AChE activity, and significantly increased the SOD level, but not catalase and MDA. From the results above, MH extracts is thought to be effective in the improvement of antioxidant enzymes and memory ability.
This study investigates ventilation and processing methods for industrial facilities by analyzing the distribution chart and concentration of fine particles generated. Analyses of fine particles were conducted in crushing rooms, sorting room, Primary manufacturing room and packing room, where the concentration of 0.3~10.0 μm particles were measured for 10 minutes during processing of herb medicines. The result revealed that particles with sizes greater than or equal to PM2.685 took up most of the space, and the concentration of fine particles (PM10) was 1,672.24 μg/m3 in 1th crushing room, 3,144.7 μg/m3 in crushing 2nd room, 262.45 μg/m3 in sorting room, prior to processing (2,302.3 μg/m3 for Aralia continentails and 5,564.9 μg/m3 for Poria cocos), 4,656.5 μg/m3 in Primary manufacturing room, and 20,213.3 μg/m3 in packing room. The concentration of fine particles generated during manufacture of herb medicines was, in comparison to the standard of 150 μg/m3 established in the Indoor Air Quality Control Act, 1.7 to 135 times higher. High concentrations of fine particles were found in all rooms, except for packing, even with partial ventilation. Also, it can be inferred that adequate deodorization system may be required in order to control unpleasant herb odors. Through this study, it is recommended that the use of scrubbers and concealment may facilitate control of fine particles containment.
본 시험은 맥섬석과 한약제재 첨가급여가 한우거세우의 비육능력 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해 생후 13개월령의 거세한우 40두(4처리×5두×2반복)를 공시하여 사료용 첨가제로 1일 사료급여량의 0.5∼1.0% 수준으로 26개월령까지 시험하였다. 시험구 배치는 C(무첨가), T1구(맥섬석 0.5% 첨가), T2구(한약제재 0.5% 첨가), T3구(맥섬석 0.5%+한약제재 0.5% 첨가)로 구분하였다. 증체량의 경우 비육전기때 T1구(226.2kg)가, 비육후기 때는 T3구(162.1kg)가 가장 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 혈중 총콜레스테롤 함량은 T3구가 다른 처리구보다 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 또한 도체중은 T3구(439.00kg) > T2(425.80kg) > T1(420.50kg) > Control(413.00kg) 순으로 낮아졌다. 배최장근 단면적은 T3구가 107.00㎠로 다른 처리구보다 높았고(p<0.05), 도체등급에서 육질등급은 T2구와 T3구가 공히 3.25로서 크게 높았다(p<0.05). 한편 등심육의 지방산 조성에서 oleic acid 함량이 48.55∼50.90%로서 가장 많은 비율을 나타내었고, 불포화지방산은 T3구(57.94%)가 다른 처리구보다 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 따라서 거세한우에게 각각 맥섬석과 한방제재를 혼합하여 첨가급여하면 도체등급, 관능검사 및 불포화지방산의 개선에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
This study sought to prove the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification Korean culinary education. survey was conducted among Korean Cuisine professionals, culinary instructors, culinary professionals and potential students from various backgrounds. ata were collected by self-administered questionnaires and analyzed by reliability analysis, frequency analysis and t-test. any differences in terms of the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification between groups based on their majors, teaching experiences, and knowledge of sauce classification. First, the result showed that fermented Jang is core element Korean cuisine. Second, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification needs to be organized around Balhyojang. Third, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification for beginners and foreigners who want to learn Korean Cuisine relatively easily. Finally, the term ‘sauce’ is not suitable for replacing Yangnyomjang.
폐 한방슬러지의 pH는 5.3으로 주재료인 콘코프의 pH5.2와 비슷하였으나, 환원당 함량은 4.8mg/g으로 콘코프의 1.9mg/g 보다 2.5배 높게 나타났다. 평판배지를 사용하여 폐 한방슬러지의 첨가농도를 검토한 결과 폐 한방슬러지를 첨가하지 않은 대조구보다 5, 15 및 10%(w/w) 첨가 순으로 팽이버섯 균사 성장이 왕성하였다. 콘코프 및미송톱밥배지에 폐 한방슬러지를 각각 10% 첨가하여 제조한 배지를 시험관에 충진시킨 다음 팽이버섯 액체종균을 접종하여 25oC에서 6일 동안 배양한 결과 대조구에서는 약 2.2~3.4cm, 시험구에서는 약 5.8~6.4cm의 균사성장이 이루어졌다. 그리고 팽이버섯뿐만 아니라 표고버섯및 녹각버섯(영지버섯 일종)을 접종한 시험구에서도 동일한 결과를 얻었다. 폐 한방슬러지를 10% 첨가한 배지로현장실험을 행한 결과 팽이버섯의 수확량은 대조구보다약 5%정도 떨어졌지만 기형버섯 발생율과 2등품 버섯의생산량은 시험구에서 월등하게 적었다. 팽이버섯의 생산량이 16만병/1일 행하는 재배사를 기준으로 경제성 분석을 행한 결과 당해 년에는 약 5천만원이 절약되고 그 다음해부터는 인건비와 운영비를 제외한 약 1억3천만원의생산단가 절약이 예상되었다.
