This paper proposes media coverage alternatives from analysing the 18th general election case in 2008. The following five options are vital to achieving effective media coverage which will make voters more active in politics. First, a more diverse and substantial coverage will make voters more interested in politics and lead them to voting. Second, broadcasting should cover election news for policy information and verification. Third, news about the public opinion poll and predicting successful candidate should be scientific. Fourth, the candidate debate broadcasting must be revised to provide voters with more information and to give penalty to the influential candidates if they reject to participate in the debate. Lastly, free expression in the internet is needed to increase peoples' political activity and voting intention.

This study examines public accountability of terrestrial broadcasters, especially KBS, MBC and SBS, in Korea, Public accountability understand a new role for public broadcasters in context of changing media environment, and is responsibility in return for the privilege of public channels. Theoretically there is close relationship between public accountability and public interest, which based on the public broadcasting system in tradition. Public accountability is a response to public ownership, public funds and public channel, and therefore includes not only public program service, public control system and active service for the audience. In practice, it can not be given to all free channels the same accountability, but different. For example, KBS has very strict public accountability, because it is based on public characteristics for ownership, financing and free channel. On the other hand belongs to the public accountability SBSs basically public service for audience included public program service. But it is very impotent for all public channels to survive in the future.

This study explored differences between parents and their children in the evaluation of utilization and effects of electronic games. The study also examined conflicts that could be occurred between parents and their children because of the games, and potential predictors of the conflicts. A total of 210 5th and 6th grade students of elementary schools and their 210 mothers were participated in the survey. The results showed that, compared to children, mothers evaluated that games were not beneficial to children and contained lots of violent content. Mothers concerned the potential negative effects of games on school performance among other variables. The results also indicated that the children who highly utilized games, and enjoyed violent games more experienced negative behaviors during game-playing. In addition, children's experiences of aggressive behaviors during game-playing moderately correlated with 'fighting with friends/ brothers/sisters'(mothers' evaluation), 'unbalanced game-playing' (mothers' evaluation), 'the amount of game utilization'(mothers and children's evaluations), 'the degree of violence of favorite games' (mothers' and children's evaluations). Conflicts between children and mothers due to game-playing could be predicted by unbalanced and excessive game-playing, the degree of violence of favorite games, and potential harmful effects on children and school performances.

This research aimed to provide the meaning and implication of portal site news consumption, through surveying the portal site and another media(TV, Newspaper, radio, independent internet media etc.) usage. This research also had the other purpose to investigate the function of journalism at portal site news service. The result of this study showed that portal site news service, compared with other media, had initiative in news consumption.

Split-Screen has a point of view that is not only to produce a variety of moving images at the same time, but also to create the pattern of visual images. It widely uses where TV drama, sport program, show program, and even TV commercials. It also becoming increasingly structured by the TV frame of an image as a discourses. This study focus on the split screen as a method of creating TV frame works and how it can be use as a visual effects into the spectator's point of views. Split-screen offers a new paradigms as method of TV frame works and concepts that can be applied in terms of different size of TV frame either 4:3 or 16:9. It is, of course, already contains number of features as an experience of fields. Most important thing the split-screen tend to be narrative structure as a contemporary skill of usages and recourse of frame works. From this study of the meaning of "split-screen" is the development of frame works in order to send a variety of images throughout the spectator's wide vision of view.

Producing is the most typical way of popular-music making method. It means producer acts as a commander for music making. Music producer choose songs to record and arrange music and so on. With the producer vocal-director also plays an important role too. The role of the vocal-director means to arrange vocal part for the singer during the recording procedure. Therefore the vocal -director's mission is to make the music best for the singer by interpreting score right. Until now, the domain of the vocal trainer is limited to work in recording studio work. Vocal-director should cooperate with singer from the training period. Actually in the recording field vocal-director has confronted with limits to make the singer to find its new variation of voice. Making its own identity is the most important thing for popular singers. So the vocal-director should work together with the singer for making its own identity from the pre-training period . In this study, I researched the role of vocal director and the method of vocal-directing.

The wavelet transform is robust analysis tool in the field of signal processing and image processing. Especially. in the field of image compression such as JPEG2000 and MPEG4, wavelet transform has a main roles for transform coding. This paper represents essentially wavelet transform algorithm using lifting and dual lifting scheme proposed by I. Daubieches and W. Sweldens. In this paper We detailedly derive their achievement for its algorithm. As a result the procedure of wavelet transform algorithm using lifting and dual lifting scheme is analyzed and derived.

The purpose of this study is to examine three bird-watching science museums near the Yellow-sea area. The two museums on the construction are located in Chungnam province and the other is located in Chunnam province which are already operated for several years to now. The bird-watching science museum is similar to conventional science museum in terms of exhibiting objects, but in detail the bird-watching science museum is specialized in bird-watching and study it's ecology. So the sight should be near the place where the bird can be seen easily and the building should be built in ecological way. Now establishing museum in local area as a community development is pretty popular in Korea. as tourism purpose. But the main purpose of bird-watching museum should be educational and cultural way and next tourism. So in this study I tried to pick designing point of architecture and exhibition of bird-watching museum.
