This study was conducted to evaluate effects of indoor horticultural therapy program based on ‘relaxation - cognitive behavior - social support’ strategy on quality of life, stress and serotonin of woman cancer patients. Subjects were 18 female cancer patients. Experimental group of 9 members received a horticultural therapy program and control group of 9 members did not receive a horticultural therapy program. The horticultural therapy program was conducted, for 90 minutes per session, once a week, total 8 times. And this study was performed from 9. Nov. to 28. Dec. in 2015. As a results, horticultural therapy program made significant improvement in emotional condition among sub-category of quality of life, nervousness, depression and frustration among sub-category of stress. Also the program decreased the total stress score with significant increased level of serotonin comparing to control group. This result means that depression mood in cancer patients was improved. In summary, horticultural therapy program focused on indoor activities based on ‘Relaxation-social support-cognitive behavioral’ strategy could be utilized as supporting program for psychological health for cancer survivors.
The purposes of this study were to examine the factors of psychological maladjustment experienced by adolescents for educational welfare, and to analyze the effects of a self-growth group counseling program applied to horticultural activities, which have been considered effective social alternatives, on adolescents’ self-esteem, ego-resilience, and stress change. For these purposes, the program was executed for 8 th -grade students at Y Middle School through 10 sessions, once a week, and 100 minutes per session during the period from 5 September to 14 November in 2014. As to difference between before and after the program, when the horticultural activity program based on self-growth group counseling was applied, the control group included many negative ranks in self-esteem before and after, and thus there wasn’t significant change, but all the subjects in the experimental group showed highly significant improvement (P=0.005). As to changes in ego-resilience, both the control group and the experimental group included many positive ranks and the changes were significant, but the significance was somewhat higher in the experimental group than in the control group (P=0.007). A decrease in stress is indicated by a large number of negative ranks. The control group had many positive ranks, and thus the change was not significant. In the experimental group, all the subjects had a negative rank and therefore the change was highly significant (P=0.005). If such a horticultural activity program is applied to adolescents through a longer period, it is believed to bring a positive change in them.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of creative horticultural activities on low-income class children’s self-esteem and stress coping behavior. For this purpose, 10 children were sampled from low-income class children using H Community Child Center in K City, and creative horticultural activities were applied to them two sessions a week and a total of 12 sessions from July 4 to August 22, 2014. Based on the factors of creativity in horticultural activities, creative horticultural activities were designed to induce fluency through learning the importance and use of plants, flexibility through observing the growth of plants, originality through breeding plants, elaborateness through decorating with plants, and sensitivity through classifying plants. Ultimately, the activities were designed to induce positive changes in low-income class children’s emotional development. For understanding the effectiveness of the creative horticultural activity program, this study assessed the children before and after the creative horticultural activities using a self-esteem scale and a stress coping scale. The results of assessment were as follows. First, the children’s self-esteem level was enhanced significantly from 27.9±3.9 before the activities to 30.7±2.3 after on the average. Their stress coping behavior was improved significantly from 49.0±5.6 before the horticultural activities to 54.3±5.2 after. In particular, significant changes were observed in active coping behavior and socialsupport- seeking coping behavior. These results suggest that creative horticultural activities for low-income class children have positive effects on their emotional development.
이 연구는 농촌 다문화가족 한국인 남편의 문화적응 스트레스와 생활 갈등이 어떤 관계 가 있는지 탐색하고, 그 관계를 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 통해 검증하였다. 빈도분석, Pearson의 적률상관분석과 중다회귀분석으로 처리한 결과, 농촌 다문화가족 한국인 남편의 문화적응 스트레스와 사회적 지지는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였고, 문화적응 스트레스와 생 활 갈등은 유의한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 문화적응 스트레스는 사회적 지지와 생활 갈등에 영향력이 있는 변인으로 나타났다. Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 위계적 회귀분석에 따른 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 문화적응 스트레스가 생활 갈등에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 지지가 부분 매개를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 다문화가족 한국인 남편의 문화적응 스트레스는 생활 갈 등과 긴밀한 관계를 나타냈고, 남편의 문화적응 스트레스와 생활 갈등 사이에 사회적 지지 의 매개효과를 확인하였으며, 따라서 농촌 다문화가족 한국인 남편의 생활 갈등을 줄이기 위해 한국인 남편을 위한 다양한 사회적 지지를 확보하는 일이 필요하다고 보았다.
The goal of this study was to examine the effects of urban forest program on environmental sensitivity, academic stress and academic achievement in high school students. Thirty high school students were assigned to an experimental group, which participated in weekly urban forest program, and thirty students to a control group. As a result, the experimental group showed the significant improvement in environmental sensitivity and academic achievement, and higher environmental sensitivity along with lower academic stress. The results suggest that, as urban forest program enhances environmental sensitivity of students, their academic stress was reduced, and the program may influence academic achievement positively.
오디 당침출액(MSE)의 산화적 스트레스 개선 효과를 확인하기 위하여 HepG2 세포에 H2O2로 산화적 스트레스를 유도시킨 다음, MSE의 보호효과를 확인하였다. MSE를 40 일간 저장하여 DPPH radical scavensing을 통해 DPPH radical 소거능이 유의적으로 좋았던 저장 40일용 MSE를 선택하여 세포 실험에 적용하였다. HepG2 세포에 500 μM H2O2를 처리하여 산화적 스트레스를 유발시키고, MSE를 처리하여 세포 생존율을 확인한 결과, MSE 처리로 인한 세포 생존율이 유의적으로 증가하였고, ROS 생성과 과산 화물에 대한 지표로 측정된 MDA 농도도 MSE 처리로 인해 효과적으로 억제되었다. 또한, H2O2 처리로 감소된 SOD 및 CAT 활성이 MSE 처리로 인해 유의적으로 높아졌으며, H2O2를 처리로 인한 세포핵의 apoptosis body가 MSE 처리 로 인해 감소함을 확인하였으며, 이는 caspase-3 활성 MSE 가 억제시킴으로 인해 세포를 보호하고 있음을 확인하였 다. 이상의 결과로부터 오디 당침출액은 산화적 스트레스 로부터 야기되는 세포독성과 apoptosis로부터 세포 보호 효과를 확인함에 따라 향후 노화와 관련된 다양한 연구 소재의 기초 자료 및 질병 예방 소재로의 가능성을 확인하 였다.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the mediating effect of perceived stress in the relation between coping skills and psychological well-being, and to test the structural model invariance across groups in university dance settings. Methods: To investigate the proposed paths structural equation modeling was used in a sample of 535 female university dance students (Mage=20.07±1.45). Results: Structural equation modeling indicated that problem-focused, emotion-focused, and avoidance skills were predicted by students' perceptions of stress. In turn, problem- and emotion-focused skills also predicted psychological well-being. Mediation analyses partially supported the roles of coping skills. Structural weights in the model were variant across dance careers. Conclusion: The findings suggest that coping skills may help to reduce psychological distress and increase psychological well-being in university dance students. Specifically, problem- and emotion-focused skills are associated with positive scores for psychological well- being.
본 연구는 원예활동 프로그램이 초등교사의 직무스트레스와 대처능력, 그리고 직무만족도에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보고자 실시되었다.
P시에 소재한 D초등학교에서 정규수업을 담당하고 있는 여성 초등교사를 16명을 대상으로 대조군 8명(연령 53.6±5.7세, 근무 연수 29.8±5.5년), 실험군 8명(연령 57.4±1.4세, 근무 연수 26.3±8.5년) 으로 나누고 이중 실험군을 대상으로 2013년 11월 5일부터 2013년 12월 24일까지 매주 1회씩 총 8회의 원예활동 프로그램을 실시하였다.
그 결과, 실험군의 경우 원예활동 실시 전 평균 66.8점에서 실시 후 평균 40.1점으로 직무스트레스에서 유의한 감소가 있었고 4주 뒤에도 지속적으로 스트레스가 감소되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 직무만족도 또한 원예활동 실시 전 평균 122.0점에서 실시 후 144.5점으로 유의하게 향상되었다. 이러한 변화는 원예활동 이후에도 지속적인 결과물을 관리하면서 자연의 변화에 순응하며 자연과 교류하며 긴장을 이완하여 심신을 안정시킬 수 있었던 결과라고 판단된다.
본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사들을 대상으로 교사 스트레스가 개인적 성취감과 교사역량에 미치는 직·간접효과와 이들 변인들 간의 관계에서 성별(남교사, 여교사) 간 차이를 탐색하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 최종분석 대상은 초등학교에 재직하고 있는 교사 375명이다. 본 연구 결과, 교사 스트레스는 개인적 성취감과 교사역량에 직·간접적으로 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 성별에 관계없이 남교사와 여교사 모두에게 동일하게 나타났다. 따라서 교사의 개인적 성취감을 증진시키기 위해서 교사의 역량을 강화하고, 교사의 스트레스를 경감시킬 필요가 있으며, 또한 교사역량 증진을 위해서는 교사 스트레스를 완화해야 할 필요가 있는 것으로 여겨진다.
