The process of replacing a series of SIM Tray production process with a composite forging process by simulating the forming process using DEFORM-3D and making process design, mold design, mold fabricating.

        Recently, M/G/1 priority queues with a finite buffer for high-priority customers and an infinite buffer for low-priority customers have applied to the analysis of communication systems with two heterogeneous traffics : delay-sensitive traffic and loss-sensitive traffic. However, these studies are limited to M/G/1 priority queues with finite and infinite buffers under a work-conserving priority discipline such as the nonpreemptive or preemptive resume priority discipline. In many situations, if a service is preempted, then the preempted service should be completely repeated when the server is available for it. This study extends the previous studies to M/G/1 priority queues with finite and infinite buffers under the preemptive repeat-different and preemptive repeat-identical priority disciplines. We derive the loss probability of high-priority customers and the waiting time distributions of high- and low-priority customers. In order to do this, we utilize the delay cycle analysis of finite-buffer M/G/1/K queues, which has been recently developed for the analysis of M/G/1 priority queues with finite and infinite buffers, and combine it with the analysis of the service time structure of a low-priority customer for the preemptive-repeat and preemptive-identical priority disciplines. We also present numerical examples to explore the impact of the size of the finite buffer and the arrival rates and service distributions of both classes on the system performance for various preemptive priority disciplines.

        A new lighting support structure composing of two-way wires and pulley, a pulley-type wireway system, was developed to improve the seismic performance of a ceiling type lighting equipment. This study verifies the seismic performance of the pulley-type wireway system using a numerical approach. A theoretical model fitted to the physical features of the newly-developed system was proposed, and it was utilized to compute a frictional coefficient between the wire and pulley sections under tension forces. The frictional coefficient was implemented to a finite element model representing the pulley-type wireway system. Using the numerical model, the seismic responses of the pulley-type wireway system were compared to those of the existing lighting support structure, a one-way wire system. The addition of the pulley component resulted in the increasement of energy absorption capacity as well as friction effect and showed in significant reduction in maximum displacement and oscillation after the peak responses. Thus, the newly-developed wireway system can minimize earthquake-induced vibration and damage on electric equipment.

        Generally the non-bearing walls in apartment buildings in Korea are not considered as a lateral force resisting members for the design consideration. This engineering practice caused large crack damages and brittle fractures of the non-bearing walls when subjected to Pohang earthquakes in 2017 since those have not been designed for seismic loading. In this study, finite element analysis was conducted for slot type non-bearing wall connection system to reduce damages and concentrate damages to the designated damping device through separation from the structural wall members. Steel plate and dowel bar systems designed for the dissipation of seismic energies were modeled and analyzed to investigate the damage reductions. Finally, the test result and the analysis result were compared and verified.

        외피 구조로서의 강박스와 내부의 철근콘크리트 슬래브로 구성되는 양개형 방폭문은 방호 및 대피 구조물의 출입구에 설치되는 구조체이다. 방폭문과 그 후면의 벽체 사이에는 일정의 설치 간격이 존재하게 되는데, 이로 인한 지지조건 및 구조거동의 변화는 방폭 해석 및 설계에 적절히 고려되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 설치 간격에 의한 지지조건 및 폭압의 변화에 따른 방폭문의 구조응답 및 파괴거동을 유한요소 해석방법으로 비교·분석하였다. 해석 결과에 따르면, 설치 간격 및 폭압의 변화는 방폭문의 최대 처짐 및 영구 처짐과 같은 처짐 거동에 영향을 미치며, 설치 간격이 크고 작음에 따라 방폭문과 벽체의 충돌 접촉 정도 및 이에 의한 충격력이 크게 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 방폭문에 작용하는 이와 같은 충격력의 변화는 슬래브의 전단파괴와 같은 파괴거동에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 분석되었다. 설치간격 10mm 미만의 방폭문은 전단파괴에 취약해지고, 15mm 내외 수준인 경우가 휨성능 발현에 비교적 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 설치 간격 및 폭압과 같이 기본적인 조건의 변화에 한해서 비교 해석을 하였다. 향후, 부 재 재원 및 강도변화, 전단설계 여부 등 다양한 변수에 따른 구조거동 변화에 대해 실험적 및 해석적 연구가 필요하다.

        대한민국은 산악지형이 많으며 사면붕괴로 인한 도로구조물 및 인명피해가 종종 발생한다. 이러한 사면붕괴로 인한 피해를 줄이기 위해서 낙석방지시설이 필요하다. 국내의 낙석방지울타리는 50kJ의 낙석 충돌 에너지에 저항할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 하지만, 낙석 에너지의 크기는 사면의 형태 및 조건에 따라 편차가 크며 약 100kJ에 이르기도 한다. 따라서 효율적인 낙석방지울타리의 설계 및 설치를 위해서 여러 종류의 낙석에너지에 맞는 표준화된 낙석방지울타리가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 낙석에너지에 따른 낙석방지울타리의 표준 단면을 유한요소해석을 통하여 제안하였다. 최종적으로 기존 50kJ 낙석방호울타리 외에 30kJ 및 100kJ급 낙석방지울타리를 제안하였다.

        급증하는 전련소비량을 감당하기 위해서 발전소는 필수적인 사회기반시설이며 안정적인 에너지 공급을 위해 발전소 내 구조적/비구조적 요소의 외부하중에 의한 안전성 평가는 반드시 필요하다. 국내에서 발생되는 지진의 상당수는 고주파 영역의 지진으로 보고되고 있으며 국내외 선행연구들에 의해 비구조적 요소가 고주파 지진에 더 많이 피해가 발생할 수 있는 것으로 연구되었다. 발전소 내에 대표적인 비구조적 요수중 하나인 전기 캐비닛의 경우 선행연구들에서 고유진동수가 10Hz 이상의 고주파 영역에 속하는 것으로 나타났으며 이에 따라 고주파 지진에 의한 안전성 평가가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 전기 캐비닛의 고주파 지진에 의한 영향성 평가에 앞서 양문형 전기 캐비닛의 유한요소 모델을 구축하여 모드해석을 수행하였으며 진동대를 이용한 공진탐색실험 결과와 비교하여 모델의 타당성을 검토하였다. 또한 모델의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 ABAQUS와 ANSYS Platform을 이용하여 모델을 구축하고 모드해석을 수행하였다. 실험에서 얻어진 1차, 2차 3차 전역모드의 주파수와 비교하였을 때 최대 약 5%의 오차가 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 1차, 2차, 3차 전역모드에 유효질량이 90%이상 참여하는 것으로 나타나 가장 지배적일 것으로 판단되며 모드형상이 유사한 것으로 판단되어 구축된 모델이 양문형 전기 캐비닛의 전체적인 동적 거동을 잘 모사할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        Tomb of King Muryeong, located in Sonsan-ri, was found vulnerable due to leakages during since the summer of 2016. This research aims to evaluate structural safety of the Tomb under the tumulus. Site surveys were conducted to find vulnerable inner parts. Structural safety assessment is presented based on both site survey results and analytical results obtained through FEM analysis using the ANSYS program. The underground structure was explicitly modeled to focus on two types of loadings: design loads and actual gravity loads. In general, the tomb does not show any critical deflection increase or damage through the analytical investigation. However, maintenance through continuous monitoring is necessary to prevent severe deflections and stress concentrations since the rigidity of the tomb materials are very vulnerable and likely to be reduced due to prolonged weathering and continuous rain leakage.

        In this study, the flow analyses were carried out on the electric train models with three kinds of mounting materials installed at the front part of train. By examining the results of flow rate and pressure, It was investigated which type of design should be designed to be more efficient in high-speed operation. The three types of models are set as models a, b and c, and each has its own shape. For all models, the wind speed was set at 110 km/h, the most common driving speed for wide-area electric trains. In the case of the model a, it was good at cutting the wind flow as a round shape when viewed from the top. But from the side, it showed a vortex forming in the upper corner. To the contrary, the model b, which has a wedge-shaped side, could be seen from the top as a result of a vortex. Finally, in the case of model c combined with models a and b, the least vortex, front pressure, and resistance forces were shown by selecting the flow advantages of models a and b. By utilizing this study result, the flow velocity and pressure are investigated without flow experiment by shape of the front part of electric train, and the flow capacity can be seen.

        The estimation of heat source model is very important for heat transfer analysis with finite element method. Part I of this study used adaptive simulated annealing which is one of the global optimization algorithm for anticipating the parameters of the Goldak model. Although the analysis with 3D model which depicted the real situation produced the correct answer, that took too much time with moving heat source model based on Fortran and Abaqus. This research suggests the procedure which can reduce time with maintaining quality of analysis. The lead time with 2D model is reduced by 90% comparing that of 3D model, the temperature distribution is similar to each other. That is based on the saturation of heat transfer among the direction of heat source movement. Adaptive simulated annealing with 2D model can be used to estimate more proper heat source model and which could enhance to reduce the resources and time for experiments.

        In the present work, an explicit finite element analysis technique is introduced to analyze the thermal stress fields present in the additive manufacturing process. To this purpose, a finite element matrix formulation is derived from the equations of motion and continuity. The developed code, NET3D, is then applied to various sample problems including thermal stress development. The application of heat to an inclusion from an external source establishes an initial temperature from which heat flows to the surrounding body in the sample problems. The development of thermal stress due to the mismatch between the thermal strains is analyzed. As mass scaling can be used to shorten the computation time of explicit analysis, a mass scaling of 108 is employed here, which yields almost identical results to the quasi-static results.

        Anticipation of welding deformation with finite element method is a very interested topic in the industries, adequate heat source model is essential for concluding reasonable results. This study is related to estimate the parameters of Goldak heat source model, and global optimization algorithm is applied to this research. The heat affected zone (HAZ) boundary line of bead on plate (BOP) welding is used as the target, parameters of heat sources are used as the variables. Adaptive simulated annealing is applied and the optimal result is obtained out of 1,000 candidates. The convergence of finite element method and the global optimization is meaningful for estimation of welding deformation, which could enhance to reduce the resources and time for experiments.

        본 연구에서는 다공성 보와 논로컬 매개변수 사이의 관계에 대한 유한요소해석을 수행한다. 논로컬 매개변수는 다공성 보의 결함을 표현하는 변수들로 정의하여, 하중조건 및 경계조건에 대한 수치모사를 통해 계산한다. 다공성 보와는 반대 개념의 결함을 가지는 보에 대한 해석도 수행하였다. 이러한 보들의 거동은 논로컬 매개변수의 항으로 표현하였으며, 이 매개변수는 구멍의 지름의 제곱 그리고 원기둥 지름의 세제곱에 비례하는 것을 확인하였다. 특히 작은 원기둥을 가지는 보에 축하중을 가하는 경우, 예상과는 다르게 3 차원 유한요소 해석 결과와 2차원 평면응력 해석 결과는 다름을 알 수 있었다.

        본 논문에서는 유한요소해석을 이용하여 흉요추 후방 고정술의 고정분절 변화에 따른 척추 안정성을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 추간판, 인대, 추간관절(Facet joint) 등을 포함한 정상 흉요추(T10–L4)의 유한요소모델을 구축하였으며, 문헌으로 보고된 재료물성치를 부여하였다. 한편, L1을 병변 부위로 가정하였으며, L1-L2, T12-L2, T12-L1-L2 총 3가지 종류의 후방 고정술을 흉요추 유한요소모델에 구현하고 전방 굽힘, 후방 굽힘, 측면 굽힘, 축 회전의 하중 조건을 부여하였다. 시리즈 유한요소해석을 통해 고정분절에 따른 척추경 나사못, 척추골, 추간판의 변형량, 등가 응력, 운동 범위, 모멘트를 계산하였으며, 그 결과를 바탕으로 척추 안정성을 평가하였다.

        Recently, the use of transfer slab system has increased greatly. However, several construction problems are being encountered owing to its excessive thickness. Therefore, in this study, a transfer slab system that uses a reverse drop panel, which can utilize the facility space of the pit floor by reducing the transfer slab thickness, was considered. To investigate the shear behavior of transfer slab system that uses the reverse drop panel, the two-way shear strength of transfer slab-column connection with the reverse drop panel was analyzed using nonlinear FE analysis. In addition, the two-way shear strength evaluations of transfer slab with the reverse drop panel conducted using the existing evaluation methods were verified by comparing the strengths predicted by those methods with the results of nonlinear FE analysis.

        The performance enhancement of various damping systems from natural hazards has become an highly important issue in engineering field. In this paper, ENTA hysteretic dampers were tested under cyclic loadings to evaluate their performance in terms of ductility and energy dissipation. The test results showed that the hysteretic dampers are effective damping systems to enhance the buildings performance for remodeling and retrofit of buildings. Also, the hysteretic dampers were modeled in FEM(Finite Element Method) structural analysis program. As comparing the computer modeling and the experiment, this study model reflects the nonlinear behavior of steel and derives the hysteresis loop.

        V-type coupling, which is often applied to turbochargers, is a mechanical fastener where radial forces close turbine housing and bearing housing together. It prevents leakage of exhaust gases by contact pressure of the backplate caused by the load transmitted from the bolt-tightening torque. Therefore, it is important to study the mechanical behaviors of the coupling system in order to establish more accurate sealing assessment technologies. In this study, an experiment was first conducted to obtain the relationship between torque and its resulting axial force in a specially designed gage bolt. Strains were then measured when the torque was applied using the gauge bolts on the turbocharger. Thus, the magnitude of the axial force due to the bolt torque can be obtained inversely. In addition, the circumference and width strains of the turbocharger coupling were measured under the assembly load, and theses results were compared with the finite element results. As a result, they tend to be very similar, but in the ring area, analysis results show a relatively small value, and near the bolt, the analysis results are larger than the experimental strains. This is thought to be due to the reduced strains around the bolt by the hammering process.

        This study was carried out to standardize the material properties of roll-over protective structure (ROPS) for agricultural tractor. The material properties which were obtained from stress-strain curve, a result of tensile test stress, were used to apply to the virtual test and varied from one production lot to the other and from one manufacturer to the other. And the finite element analysis was performed on the ROPS according to the OECD code. The results show that the load-displacement curves of virtual test were approximately equal to the actual test curves. The manufacturer or lot has been shown to have little effect on the properties of the material. Therefore, it is expected that the representative values that can be used in the finite element analysis can be determined by averaging the property values.
