        PURPOSES : The purpose of this paper is to develop a methodology to estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. METHODS : On 6 Exclusive Median Bus Lanes routes in Seoul, bus travel time and number of bus-stop per km were investigated. Also whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop was checked. Based on the data from sites, bus travel time was estimated according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. RESULTS : A bus travel time table was developed according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. After bus travel speed and passenger car travel speed is estimated based on each travel time table and length of segment, two speeds are combined with weighted average speed using traffic volume of each lane group. Then weighted average speed is a measure of effectiveness of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. CONCLUSIONS : It can be concluded that the proposed methodology can estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes considering the operation characteristics of Exclusive Median Bus Lanes.

        PURPOSES: The purpose of this study is to develop an effectiveness analysis method of exclusive median bus lanes, which is necessary in order to improve operation efficiency of exclusive median bus lanes. METHODS : The operation characteristics of "signalized intersection including exclusive median bus lanes" and "normal signalized intersection" were investigated and the existing capacity analysis method was also reviewed to analyze the effectiveness of exclusive median bus lanes. Delay reduction of passengers using exclusive median bus lanes which can be considered as the benefit of exclusive median bus lanes and the number of people in buses were included in the proposed effectiveness analysis method. RESULTS : It was found that the proposed method expresses properly the effectiveness of exclusive median bus lanes through performing sensitivity analysis and analyzing with the real data of the number of people in buses and passenger cars. It was also found that the proposed method demonstrates the effectiveness that measure of effectiveness of signalized intersections is changed to "sec/person". CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the method is a proper effectiveness analysis method because it can reflect the benefit of passengers in buses.

        PURPOSES: By conducting the landscape survey that considered landscape factors of the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier that applied of the various level by simulating of the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway, they showed the quantitative standard of landscape preference factors that the Guide Coating gives. METHODS: The shape of the Structural Equation Modeling used AMOS program and made a shape that is made of landscape preference for the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway a dependent variable. RESULTS: Result in this, they showed that functionality and emotionalism are the factors that affect the landscape preference. CONCLUSIONS: In the main study, not only showing the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway landscape valuation but also embodying the Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) of each group, knowing the Guide Coating and unknowing the Guide Coating. By embodying this, they could study that the drivers' quantitative standard is different when the Guide Coating become first applied and being changed after.

        본 연구에서는 선박의 중앙집중 공조시스템에 공랭식 에어컨을 직접 설치하여 열원의 성능개선과 거주 구역별 독립 냉 난방이 가능한 개별분산 공조시스템을 하고자 하는 것이다. 연구 결과 기존의 중앙집중방식 공조시스템에 비해 열원 제어와 열효율상의 문제점을 보완함과 동시에 장치의 효율을 향상시킴을 확인하였다. 또한 동일한 조건에서 장치의 냉동능력과 성능계수는 평균 약 3 %, 23~26 % 정도 높게 나타났으며, Chilled Water Plants의 압축기 소비동력은 약 12 % 정도 낮게 나타났고, 동일한 조건에서 난방 시 소비동력은 약 33.5 % 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 공랭식 에어컨을 이용한 개별분산 공조시스템이 열원 제어뿐만 아니라 장치의 성능향상과 거주구역별 쾌적한 온 습도 환경 조성에 크게 기여하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

        PURPOSES : In this study, the effects of when median exclusive bus lanes were applied to Daejeon trunk road (Wolpyeng crossway~Seodaejeon crossway, 6.3km) and (Daeduck Bridge 4~Kyeryong 4, 2.6km) by Microscopic Simulation VISSIM (5.0) was studied. The median exclusive bus lanes are one of the measures of transportation system manage techniques that can especially improve the efficiency of public transportation facilities. METHODS : According to the analysis of VISSIM on the Gyerong mainroad and Daedeok mainroad, when the median exclusive bus lanes were applied unlike when the roadside bus-only lanes were applied, the average travel speed of vehicles decreased but the average delay time and travel time increased. This arised from the changes in the geometric structure of the road which occurred the reduction of vehicle lane in the center of the road. RESULTS : In the case of bus, on the other hand, the average travel speed increased but the average delay time and travel time decreased. This is because the problems such as illegal parking and stopping, secondary road in out vehicle, and conflict of intersection right turn that roadside bus-only lanes occurred was solved. CONCLUSIONS : Although the introduction of median exclusive bus lanes will have a negative effect on general traffic flow due to the aggravation of travel, decrease of passenger car usage will lead to decrease of traffic volume. Therefore, smooth vehicle travel is expected.

        This paper deals with a centralized warehouse problem with multi-item and capacity constraint. The objective of this paper is to decide the number and location of centralized warehouses and determineorder quantity (Q), reorder point (r) of each centralized warehouse to minimize holding, setup, penalty, and transportation costs. Each centralized warehouse uses continuous review in- ventory policy and its budget is limited. A SA (Simulated Annealing) approach is developed and its performance is tested by using some computational experiments.

        This paper explores central Asia's area studies and mission strategy focused on culture and islam's identity. This articles attempts significance of the area studies in taking pursuit of mission strategy in Central Asia. By researching Central Asia's historical surroundings, cultural identity, islam’s ideas after break up Soviet Union, it enables us to take out the essence of the mission’s methods in this areas. This article explores examining particularly Central Asia's historical meaning of the Mongolian tradition and the origin of the Central Asia's peoples, study the ideas of the religious essence, above all Islam's fundamentalism and the religiopolitical strategies as a politics of discourse focused on the concept in Central Asia. The history of Central Asia has been about empires and tribes. The concept of nation to denote a triangular relationship among territory, ethnocultural identity, and political authority is very recent in this region. The causeandeffect links between geopolitics and national identification in Central Asia were revealed by religion and national identity. By this conception, we must design mission strategy. The process of religious identity and national identity and Central Asia’s geopolitics have been connected each other, and I emphasized strong significance on the connection of domestic political surroundings and mission strategy. The leap from culture to politics is made by portraying the nation at one moment as a cultural community, and at another, as a political community. Nationalists can build up the nation from different political events and economic surroundings to be fot their country have special culture identity. Chapter II examines cultural mapping as the essence in Central Asia's study. Chapter III reviews islam's identity in Central Asia. Chapter IV analyzes politics factor focused on international relations between the west, USA and the Russia government. The aim of this article is to present a general overview of the mission strategy in examining culture and the ideological concept of the newly governments in Central Asia dealing with the process of the Nation building and State building in this areas.

        본 연구는 도시공원의 토지피복 및 식재구조에 따른 온도 영향요인을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 성남시 분당구 중앙공원을 대상으로 전 지역에 대한 토지피복 및 식재현황을 파악하였으며 30개의 조사구를 설정하여 정밀 토지피복 및 식재구조를 파악하고 온도는 10회 반복 측정하였다. 온도 영향요인은 토지피복유형, 식재유형, 층위구조, 녹지량(녹피율, 녹지용적계수)을 선정하여 실측 온도와의 통계분석을 실시하였다. 토지피복유형, 식재유형, 층위구조와 실측 온도와의 분산분석 결과, 토지피복유형에서 목본 식재지는 저온역으로 초지와 포장지는 고온역으로 구분되었다. 식재유형은 침엽수 및 활엽수 식재지는 저온역으로, 초지와 포장지는 고온역으로 구분되었다. 층위구조는 교목층과 교목층+하부식재 유형은 저온역으로, 초지와 포장지는 고온역으로 구분되었다. 녹지량과 실측 온도와의 상관관계 분석 결과 녹피율과 녹지용적계수는 모두 실측 온도값과 고도의 음(-)의 상관관계가 인정되었다. 녹지량과 실측 온도와의 회귀모형에 의하면 녹피율은 1% 증가할 때마다 -0.002℃, 녹지용적계수는 1m3/m2 증가할 때마다 -0.122℃의 온도저감 효과가 있을 것으로 예측되었다.

        현재 서울시는 대중교통 활성화 정책에 따라 버스전용차로제도를 실시하고 있다. 과거 가로변버스전용차로 설치를 시작으로 현재에는 중앙버스전용차로 설치구간도 증가하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 이 중앙버스전용차로와 가로변버스전용차로에서 버스사고에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는데 있다. 분석방법으로 교통사고가 확률적으로 극히 드물게 일어난다는 점을 생각하여 포아송 회귀모형과 음이항 회귀모형을 선택하였으며, 과산포 존재여부에 따라 음이항 회귀모형으로 최종모형을 정립하였다. 중앙버스전용차로구간은 버스노선수, 중앙차로 진출입 유형수, 중앙차로 정지선 후퇴유무, 중앙차로 정지선과 횡단보도 이격거리, 교통량, 가변차로 정류장 정차노선수 6개의 변수에서 버스사고에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 가로변버스전용 차로구간은 우회전 버스노선수, 상습 불법주정차 유무, 보행신호시간, 토지이용형태 4개의 변수에서 버스사고에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
