        본 연구에서는 생후 17주된 Sprague Dawley종 수컷쥐에게 식이지방량이 총섭취 열량의 40%인 고지방 식이시 n6 linoleic acid, n3 EPA와 DHA 지방산을 충분한 양의 tocopherol과 한께 6주간 투여하였을 때 이들 지방산이 plasma와 RBC, 간조직의 tocopherol, MDA함량과 간의 SOD, GSH-Px의 활성에 미치는 영향을 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. Plasma tocopherol은 지방산의 불포화도가 높을수록 감소되었으나 plasma MDA는 식이 지방산 종류에 의한 차이가 없었다. RBC MDA는 n6 LA에 비해 n3 LL와 EPA + DHA에 의해 증가되었고 RBC hemolysis도 증가되었다 간과 RBC의 tocopherol 함량은 식이 지방산의 종류에 따른 영향이 없없으나 MDA함량은 유의성 있게 증가되었다. 간조직의 SOD와 GSH-Px활성은 식이 지방산의 불포화도가 높을수록 모두 증가되었으나 GSH-Px는 SOD에 비하여 식이지방산에 의한 영향이 덜하였다. 결론적으로, 고지방 식이를 할 경우 SOD와 GSH-Px 활성이 높아져도 RBC와 간조직의 MDA는 오히려 증가되어 지질 과산화물의 생성을 막아주지 못하였다. 최근 우리나라의 경우 동물성 식품의 계속적인 섭취 증가로 식이중 열량과 지방의 양이 계속 증가되고 있는 추세이며 이로인한 여러 순환기계질환의 예방을 위해 n3 PUFA를 섭취할 경우 결국 더 많은 tocopherol섭취가 필요할 것으로 사려된다.

        Durable softening water repellents for nylon fiber were synthesized, using two compounds: quaternized octadecyl methacrylate-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer as a mother resin of water repellent and quaternized fatty carbamide for improving softness and hydrostatic pressure, of which syntheses were studied in the previous papers. They were blended with waxes and emulsifiers in a variety of ratios and synthesized into water repellent PADWC, and it was nylon taffeta treated with and without textile finishing resin. The synthesized water repellents can be used either or without resin. The optimum curing temperature was 150 to 160℃ and the optimum concentration was 3 to 5wt%. In the independent and conjunct treatment, the water repellency of nylon taffeta samples have no remarkable changes between initial value and that after three times washing, so these prove that the synthesized compounds are durable water repellent. The water repellency of PADWC-3 and -4 were around 90. Also, comparison of crease recovery and tear strength after repelling treatment showed that the synthesized water repellents have a very high softening effect.

        호박의 지방산 조성에 관하여 gas chromatography법으로 분리 정량하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 호박의 일반성분은 수분 57.3%, 탄수화물 40%, 조단백질 2.2%, 조지방 0.1%, 조회분 0.4%이었다. 지방산은 15종이 검출되었고, 호박의 성장일수에 따른 지방산 조성의 변화는 C_14:0, C_15:0, C_16:1, C_17:0, C_18:0, C_18:1등은 20일 경과된 때가 많았으나 시간이 지남에 따라 점점 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, C_20:2, C_20:3, C_20:0은 어린 호박에는 검출되지 않았다. 그리고 C_18:3인 경우는 완전히 노랗게 익은 것이 어린 것일 때보다 90% 정도 증가하였다. C_16:0의 경우는 C(22.5%), B(22.9%), A(26.6%)를 보여 커짐에 따라 증가되었으며, C_16:1와 C_18:1의 경우는 A가 가장 적고 C가 가장 높았다. Docosahexaenoic acid와 eicosapentaenoic acid의 전구체인 ω-3 fatty acids인 α-linoleic acid가 44.8%로 가장 많았으며, linoleic acid(17.2%), stearic acid(3.5%) 등이었다. 그리고 polyunsaturated fatty acid가 62.2%이었고, n-6은 17.4%이었으며, n-3/n-6 ratio는 2.6이었다.

        The Synthesis of azobenzene containing long chain fatty acid and poly vinyl alcohol by esterification reaction(Cn-Azo-PVA) was optimized, starting from P-(P'-hydroxy phenyl azo)-benzoic acid and the product of reaction containing azobenzene chromophores was investigated by ultraviolet spectrophotometery in toluene solvent at room temperature. In addition, UV absorption spectra of Langmmuir Blodggett (LB) film deposited on quartz plate have been measured and the structure of these compounds were ascertained by means of Ultraviolet and FT-IR. Recrystallization of reaction product in the solvent results the experimental yield obtained about 22.27% P-(P'-octadecyloxy phenyl azo)-benzoic acid-poly vinyl alcohol. Long chain azobenzene derivative-poly vinyl alcohols are induced phtoisomerization by u, v, and visible light irradiation. The LB film of azobenzene containing long chain fatty acids(C18-Azo-PVA) are possible of being applied to functional molecular devices such as photomemory and light switching.

        본(本) 연구(硏究)는 들깨 국내 육성종을 포함한 수집종(蒐集種)중 20종(種)을 공시하여 이들 간의 형태적(形態的)인 주요(主要) 특성(特性), 생화학적(生化學的)인 특성(特性)과 세포유전학적(細胞遺傳學的)인 특성(特性)을 조사(調査)하고 유전적(遺傳的) 다양성(多樣性)을 밝혀 들깨의 분류(分類)와 품종육성(品種有成)에 있어서의 중요(重要)한 기초자료(基礎資科)를 얻고자 본(本) 실험(實驗)을 수행(遂行)하여 얻은 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 들깨 수집종의 형태적(形態的), 생화학적(生化學的), 세포유전학적(細胞遺傳學的) 특성(特性)을 조사(調査)해 본 바, 형태적(形態的) 특성(特性)으로 종피색은 약간의 농도차이는 있었으나 회갈색(灰褐色), 갈색(褐色), 암갈색(暗褐色)(흑색)등 3군(群)으로 나눌 수 있었으며, 우립중(于粒重)은 3.5g 이하인 것이 11종(種)으로 가장 많았고 4.5g 이하인 것이 4종(種) 4.5g 이상인 것이 5종(種)이었다. 또한 줄기색은 적색(赤色)과 녹색(綠色)으로 분류되었는데 적색(赤色)은 안동재래를 포함 5종(種)이었고 나머지는 녹색(綠色)이었다. 생화학적(生化學的)인 특성(特性)으로 각 수집종(蒐集種)을 대상으로 지방산(脂肪酸) 조성을 조사(調査)해 본 바, 불포화도가 가장 높은 linolenic acid는 53%(영양재래)에서 65%(의성재래)에 이르기 까지 다양(多樣)하였으며, 59-61% 범위에 속하는 종(種)이 12종(種)으로 가장 많았다. 염색체(染色體) 수(數)는 조사한 4개의 수집종(蒐集種)(안동재래, 엽실, 영광재래, 대영) 모두가 2n=38로 나타났다.

        The Surfactants composed of acylated aterocollagen which is produced by the acylation of the side chain amino radicals of aterocollagen with an aliphatic acid having 12 to 18 carbon atoms will be discussed in this study. This condensation is done at moderate reaction temperature (〈25℃) in aqueous alkaline solution. The products of this reaction were identified by UV/VIS spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy. For these compounds, surface active properties and physical properties including isoelectric point, Krafft point, surface tension, critical micelle concentration(cmc), foaming power, viscosity behaviour, water holding capacity, skin irritation and emulsifying power were measured respectively. The experimental results received that the products have a good emulsifying power, excellent water holding capacity while having low skin irritation. Thus, these derivatives will be expected to be used as an emulsifying agent for O/W type cosmetic emulsion.

        This study investigated the reaction and variation of fatty acid composition of soybean oil when it is partially hydrogenated until its iodine value(IV) shifts from 134 to 110. Experment was conducted under he outlined reactiion conditions of temperatures(170, 190 and 210℃), pressure(1.3, 2.8 and 4.2atm) and nickel(Ni) catalyst concentraons(0.005, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1%) with a fixed agitation(350rpm). Further investigation was also made to see the effect of added lecithin on hydrogenation. When reaction temperature was gradually raised and catalyst concentration increased, the content of linolenic acid progressively decreased while the increase amount of stearic acid reduced(P〈0.05). On he other hand when pressure gradually increased, the contents of stearic acid and linolenic acid increased(P〈0.05). Meanwhile when lecithin was added, reaction time increased by two to six times more than when no addition was made.

        The fatty acid, all cis-δ5,11,14-C20:3, in the Gingko nuts oils, was isolated and, purified by urea-adduct method, silver ion silica gel chromatography and HPLC equipped with reversed phase μ-Bondapak C18 column. Its structural elucidation was conducted by IR and 1H-, 13C-NMR technique. The fatty acid composition of seed oils mainly consists of linoleic acid(37.73%), vaccenic acid(18.30%), oleic acid(15.18%), palmitic acid(3.37%), palmitoleic acid(3.37%) and δ5 NMDB fatty acids(8.50%) in which all cis-δ5,11,14-C20:2 predominates.

        Anionic polyolic surfactants, alpha-sulfo fatty acids that straight long chain alkyl group has from 12 to 18 hydrocarbon numbers, was synthesized with sulfur trioxide-dioxane complex to good yields. New sodium alpha-sulfo long chain fatty acid monoglyceride were obtained by reaction that the ketalificaticn and esterification of glycerol, acetone and alpha-sulfo long chain fatty acid and hydrolysis respectively. These reaction products separated by column chromatography and their Rf values(Rf×100) were 19, 21, 24 and 26 respectively. These compounds were identified by infrared spectroscopy and 1H NMR spectroscopy.

        This study was designed evaluate the change of fat content according to cooking methods of ground beef. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The fat content of ground beef is the lowest in boiling cooking method. 2. The fatty-acids composition of ground beef is mainly palmitic and oleic acids. The fatty acids hardly change according to cooking methods. 3. P/S ratio is inclined to increase a bit after cooking than pre-cooking. From all the results obtained in this study it can be conclude that fat content is the lowest in boiling and microwaving cooking methods and fatty acid composition is mainly palmitic and oleic acids.

        Levels of total lipids in the seeds of three species of the Pinaceae family were determined and their fatty acid compositions were also analyzed by a gas-chromatograph equipped with a capillary column coated with Carbowax 20M. The results are summarized as follows: Lipid contents of the seeds amounted to 56.9% in P. koraiensis, 29.9% in P. thunbergii, and 21.2% in P. rigida. In all lipids 19~20 fatty acid were detected and, surprisingly, fatty acids having δ5-non-methylene interrupted conjugate double bond such as δ5, 9-C18:2,δ5, 9, 12-C18:3 and δ5, 11, 14-C20:3 occurred in appreciable amounts. In the lipids of P. koraiensis, the main component was C18:2Ω6(45.0%), followed by C18:1Ω 9(26.9%) and δ5, 9, 12-C18:3(14.6%), and then δ5, 9-C18:2(2.2%) and δ5, 11, 14-C20:3 were also present. Levels of saturated fatty acid such as C16:0 and C18:0 were as low as 7.5%. The seed oil of P. thunbergii predominantly comprised C18:2Ω6(45.2%), and was then occupied by equal amounts δ5, 9, 12-C18:3(18.1%) and C18:1Ω9(18.1%). Its δ5, 11, 14-C20:3(5.8%) level was the highest in the samples tested. δ5, 9-C18:2(2.8%) was also detected with other minor components. In the oils from the seeds of P. rigida, C18:2Ω6 was present as a main component, accompanied by C18:1Ω9(21.6%) and δ5, 9, 12-C18:3(20.3%). The latter showed higher level than in any other samples. A minor component corresponding to δ5, 9, 12, 15-C18:4(not confirmed by GC-Mass) occurred in P. thunbergii and P. rigida.

        The needles and pollen of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis were studied for their lipid contents and fatty acid composition. The total lipid contents in needles of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis were 5.0 and 4.5%, whereas in pollen of Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis 3.5 and 5.6%, respectively. Twenty-four fatty acids ranged from lauric acid to docosahexaenoic acid(22:6Ω3) were identified in the needle lipids. In needles, linolenic acid and palmitic acid were the major fatty acids. The needles of Pinus densiflora showed higher proportions of docosahexaenoic acid and 5-olefinic nonmethylene-interrupted polyenoic acids than those in the Pinus koraiensis. Twenty fatty acids ranged from myristic acid to lignoceric acid were identified in the pollen lipids. Linoleic acid was the major fatty acid in the pollen followed by oleic and palmitic acid. The fatty acid profile of pollen of Pinus densiflora was similar to those of the Pinus koraiensis pollen lipids.

        We have studies fatty acid composition of water extracts of parts of omija (Schizandra chinensis Baillon) and antioxidant activities of fractionated omija parts (fruits, endocarps, seeds) were determined by DPPH methods and by in vitro hepatic microsomal lipid peroxidation system. Fatty acid composition was not different by parts of omija and major fatty acids are linoleic, oleic, and palimitic acids, among fatty acids is water extracts of parts of omija, linoleic acid was highest in content. Methanol and buthanol fractions of seeds and ethyl acetate fraction of endocarps showed stronger antioxidant activities by DPPH methods. Methanol and buthanol fractions of seeds also showed on inhibitory effect on in vitro liver microsomal lipid peroxidation.

        The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica were studied for their lipid contents and fatty acid composition. The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica contained 70.2% and 73.4% lipids, respectively. Fifteen fatty acids were identified in the lipids from the Camellia japonica seeds. In addition to confirming the 5 previously reported (16 : 0, 18 : 0, 18 : 1, 18 : 2 and 18 : 3), 10 more acids were characterized. The newly identified acids were 14 : 0, 16 : 1, 17 : 0, 20 : 0, 20 : 1, 20 : 2, 22 : 0, 22 : 1, 24 : 0 and 24 : 1. Both seeds lipids contained 18 : 1 in high levels (81. 6~82. 2%). Little difference in fatty acid composition was noted between the wild and cultivated Camellia japonica seed lipids. The fatty acid composition of commercial Camellia japonica oil was similar to those of the Camellia japonica seed lipids.

        This investigation on the composition of fatty acids of hempseed through gas -chromatography analysis found the follwing results. Myristic acid and other ten materials were detected. And there was mainly composed of myristic acid 29.4%, palmitoleic acid 16.2%, linoleic acid 14.9%, oleic acid 12.4%. It also showed that heptadecanoic acid 10.8%, erucic acid 0.5%, docosahexaenoic acid 0.3% and essential fatty acid were contained 17.9% between them. As stearic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, linoleic acid and arachidonic acid made lower cholesterol level in body, they will help prevention of senile disease with the oil of hemp seed.

        Gas-liquid chromatography analyses have been carried out to investigate the fatty acid composition of 3 commercial Korean shortenings. Fourteen fatty acids ranged from caprylic to behenic acids were identified in all the samples. The major components in the samples were palmitic, stearic and oleic acids as the sum of 16:0, 18:0 and 18:1 ranged from 76-92% of total fatty acids. The ranges for saturated fatty acids, mono unsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids in the samples were 49-50%, 41-42% and 4-6%, respectively.

        Lipid levels in the tissues of liver and intestines of O.bartrami amounted to 40.0% and 1.5%. The new compounds was found to be ethyl acylates, from a deduction of their detailed 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and 13C-NMR as well as infra red spectra (IR). The fatty acid composition of total lipids were mainly composed of C16:0(19.0%), C18:1(16.2%) and C22:6Ω3(15.7%), followed by C20:1(9.4%), C22:1(6.4%) and C18:0(5.4%). New compound A and B were seemed to derived from the cleavage of glycerol moieties of triglycerides by microbial activities during storage in a frozen state. Compound A contained C16:0(38.2%), C18:1(13:4%), C20:1(13.3%) and C22:1(11.7%) as major components, while compound B predominantly comprised polyunsaturated fatty acid such as C20:5Ω3 (41.2%) and C22:6Ω3(36.1%). In both compounds small amounts of odd numbered fatty acids were also detected (3.8~2.2%).

        The seeds of 16 domestic plants were studied for their moisture, total lipids and fatty acid composition. Of the 16 seeds, chestnut, corn, mungbean and ginko nut yielded less than 9% by weight of total lipids compared to others that gave 20-73%. The identified fatty acids from the seed lipids ranged from lauric acid (12:0) to lignoceric acid(24:0). It was intended in this study to classify the seed lipids according to their major fatty acids: Group t-Oleic acid; Group 2-0leic acid and linoleic acid; Group 3-linoleic acid; Group 4-linolenic acid ; Group 5-erucic acid ; Group 6-ricinoleic acid. The saturated fatty acid content of mungbean (33%) was the highest among the seed lipids studied. The highest value for the P/S fatty acid ratio(10) was in perilla.

        A series of four sodium α-sulfo fatty acid allylester oligomers such as sodium α-sulfo lauric acid allylester oligomer, sodium α-sulfo myristic acid allyl ester oligomer, sodium α-sulfo palmitic acid allyl ester oligomer and sodum α-sulfo stearic acid allyl ester oligomer were examined for surface tension, defloculation effect and emulsifying power. Also critical micelle concentration (cmc) was evaluated. Consequently, these sodium allyl α-sulfo aliphatic carboxylate aligomers show o/w type emulsifying agent and dispersion effect in 1g/100ml soulution.

        Allyl aliphatic carboxylates were synthesized by azotropic reaction with benzene between allyl alcohol and capric acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid or stearic acid respectively. allyl aliphatic carboxylates oligomers were prepared from polymerization giving allyl aliphatic carvboxylates in the presence of potassium persulfate in methanol, and the α-sulfonation of these five allyl aliphatic carboxylates oligomers were carried by direct addition of dry sulfur trioxide. Especially, molecular weights of fatty acid alylester oligomers and their sodium salts of α-sulfo fatty acid allylester oligomers were measured by boiling point method.
