        House dust mite (HDM) allergens have been associated with allergic diseases, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis. Various acaricidal agents have been suggested for control of house dust mites; however, their remains act as allergens even after death. Therefore, for avoidance of allergen, expelling the mites is a more effective policy than killing them. In this experiment, we compared the repellent effect of two essential oils (Matricaria chamomilla, Lavandula vera) against house dust mites, Dermatophagoids farinae and D. pteronyssinus in bed fabric. The essential oils were applied by direct contact method at various doses (0.1, 0.05, 0.025, 0.0125, and 0.00625 μl/cm2 and at various exposure times (30, 60, 120, 180, and 240 min). Results of this experiment suggest that the two oils have significant repellent activity. Camomile essential oil in 0.0125 μl/cm2 at 240 minutes had a repellent effect of 93.7% and lavender essential oil in 0.05 μl/cm2 at 180 minutes had a repellent effect of 88.9%. The results of this study showed that camomile essential oil has more potent repellent activity than lavender essential oil at a particular concentration.

        H2S adsorption characteristics of adsorbent made by drinking water treatment sludge were investigated. For analyses of the manufactured adsorbent, various methods such as scanning electron microscope(SEM), measurements of BET surface area were adopted. As the major adsorption characteristic, breakthrough curve was measured by using a continuous fixed bed adsorption column for operating variables such as aspect ratio(L/D, 3∼9), gas flow rate(0.2∼1.0 liter/min) and type of samples. The experimental results showed that the breakthrough pint decreased with increasing gas flow rate, but increased with increasing aspect ratio. It was also found that the physical and chemical treatments of drinking water treatment sludge are very important for the improvement in H2S adsorption capacity due to property changes of the sludge.

        The purpose of this study is to understand the architectural space of Chimjeon (寢殿), the King's Bedroom, and Backyard, in the early Joseon Dynasty. The Royal palace can be divided into three parts, political space for King, living space for King and his family and government office. So first, we should to understand the characteristics of each space in the Royal Palace. Up to now we have looked at the architectural space of the King's Bedroom in the central area and Backyard in Gyeongbokgung (景福宮), one of the Royal Palace, the result of this study is as followings. Cheonchujeon (千秋殿) and Manchunjeon (萬春殿) were not both sides of Sajeongjeon (思政殿), were on the north side of Gangnyeongjeon (康寧殿) Gangnyeongjeon was not a bedroom for the King and Queen, only for King. Bedroom for Queen was located another space in the Royal palace. There was Hamwonjeon on the west side of Koytaejeon. Jamidang and Cheongyeonroo were on the right side of Koytaejeon The Backyard on the north side of Gyeongbokgung had a wide area for horseback archery and the practice of battle formation The arrangement of the King's bedroom in the central area was assumed like as the Fig 7. and Fig 8.

        We identified and characterized the full-length cDNA sequences encoding two acetylcholinesterases (ClAChE1 and ClAChE2) and a salivary gland-specific cholinesterase (ClSChE) from the common bed bug, Cimex lectularius. All three cholinesterase genes (Clac1, Clace2 and Clsce) have conserved motifs, including a catalytic triad, a choline binding site and an acyl pocket. Phylogenetic analysis showed that ClAChE1 belongs to the insect AChE1 clade, whereas ClAChE2 belongs to the insect AChE2 clade. ClSChE was grouped into the clade containing all AChE1s, suggesting its paralogous relationship to ClAChE1. Transcription levels of Clace1 were higher than those of Clace2 in all tissues examined, including the central nervous system (CNS). In contrast, the Clsce transcript was not detected in the CNS but specifically found in the salivary gland in much higher levels (>3000 fold) than those of Clace1 and Clace2. Western blot analysis using anti-ClAChE antibodies in conjunction with activity staining revealed that ClAChE1 is more active than ClAChE2 whereas ClSChE has little enzyme activity. Three-dimensional structure modeling suggested that ClAChEs and ClSChE shared structural similarities, but had some differences in the residues forming the acyl pocket and oxyanion hole. The current findings should provide valuable insights into the evolution and functional diversification of insect cholinesterase.

        본 연구는 여름철에 신선한 곤달비를 생산하기 위하여, 몇 가지 냉각방법에 따른 재배효과를 검토하고 베드의 구조물 및 냉각수단으로서 호스를 이용한 경제적인 팽연화왕겨 간이수경재배베드를 개발하기 위하여 수행하였다. 냉각방법별 곤달비의 생육은 냉수호스, 미스트, 무비가림 순으로 좋았으며, 13℃의 지히수를 약 240/hr의 유속으로 흘려 냉각시켰을 때 지온이 약 2~3℃ 낮아졌다. 여름재배 시 군락부위 부분냉방을 위해 개발된 호스베드시스템은 Φ15cm의 벽과, 유기배지로 팽연화왕겨가 이용된다. 냉수호스베드에서 냉수의 온도가 14~22℃ 범위에서 공급되었을 때 배지의 온도는 18~23℃로 유지되어 냉각효과가 양호하였으며, 스티로폼베드에 비하여 호스베드의 곤달비 군락부위의 온도는 약 0.5℃, 근권부의 온도는 약 3℃ 낮은 등 냉각효과가 있었다. 국부냉방을 위한 호스베드시스템은 곤달비와 같은 키가 작은 엽채류의 여름철 재배에 활용할 뿐 아니라 저온기에는 난방수를 순환하여 별도의 방열배관없이 국부난방에도 활용할 수 있어 경제적인 간이양액재배베드로서 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

        게임은 점차 복잡해짐에 따라 게임 환경(맵)도 복잡해지고 있다. 게임 환경(맵)이 복잡해지면 게임 신뢰성을 입증하기 위해서 많은 테스트 프로세스와 방법이 복잡해지는 경향이 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동 생성되는 게임 환경(맵)을 정확하게 진행하는지를 검증하고, 테스트를 줄일 수 있는 테스팅 기법을 AND/OR 그래프와 불식(boolen expression)을 이용하여 제안한다.

        The microscopic characteristics of brown layers in oak sawdust cultivation bed of Lentinula edodes was investigated with scanning electron microscope. Parenchymatous cells became thinner and the middle layers of the cells degraded in the oak sawdust bed at a plastic cultivation shed in four months. L. edodes hyphae penetrated into the pit and profusely branched within the bassal tube cells. Pit pores of ray parenchymatous cell in the decomposed sawdust became larger than in the uncolonized cells and were circular or irregular. The brown layer producing fruit body was 0.34㎜ thick and 0.67㎏/㎠ in hardness with especially 0.20㎜ thick layer of highly dense hypahe. On the other hand the brown layer without fruit body was 1.17㎜ thick, 0.94㎏/㎠ in hardness, and 0.80㎜ thick with smooth surface of highly compact dense hypae. This nonfruiting brown surface was heavily colonized with contaminating fungal hyphae and bacterial cells. We conclude that physical and biological characteristics of brown layer can affect fruiting of L. edodes.

        A harmful fungus occurred seriously in bed-log of shiitake(Lentinula edodes) in Jangheung-Gun, Korea. The fungus was identified as Bjerkandera adusta by its morphology and ITS(Internal Transcribed Spacer) analysis. The fungus was reported as causal agent of stem-rot of Populus euramericana in Korea, but not reported in bed-log of shiitake until this notification. Thus, studies were made to investigate inside condition of bed-log of shiitake damaged by B. adusta, physiological characteristics of B. adusta and antagonism between these two fungi. First of all, B. adusta is white-rotting fungus like shiitake and wood-rotting condition is similar to that of shiitake. But, there are a lot of small spots in damaged wood tissue under bark which are not seen in case of shiitake. Optimal temperature for mycelial growth of B. adusta is ca. 30℃ while that of shiitake is ca. 25 ℃. When confrontation cultures were made between these two fungi under 15℃, 20℃, 25℃ and 30℃, B. adusta has antagonistic ability against shiitake in all the temperatures. From the results of experiments, if the bed-logs of shiitake are exposed to high temperature, there should be mass propagation of B. adusta, and shiitake mycelia will be seriously injured by the fungus. Therefore, to prevent the damage by B. adusta, it is needed to grow the mycelia of shiitake fast in the bed-log, and to avoid exposure of the bed-log to high temperature in summer.

        This paper was concentrated on the distribution and the composition of lost fishing gear on the sea bed around yellow croaker fishing ground in the near sea of Jeju, Korea from April to October 2009 in order to improve the fishery environment. Recovering lost fishing gears was carried out total 10 times with a trawlnet along the isobath. As the result, it seems reasonable to conclude that the amount of lost fishing gear has a deep connection with the dip of the sea bed as well as the fishing gear scale, fishing ground and so on. The amount of recovered lost fishing gears were in order of gillnets, dragged gears, traps and ropes. In particular, traps were recovered almost every time within the survey area.

        Feeding habits of Acentrogobius pellidebilis collected from in an eelgrass(Zostera marina) bed from January to December 2006 were studied. A. pellidebilis ranged form 1.6 to 6.9 cm in standard length were determined. A. pellidebilis was a carnivore which consumed mainly copepods, polychaetes, and amphipods. Its diets included small quantities of isopods, seaweeds, nematods, and gastropods. It showed ontogenetic changes in feeding habits. Smaller individuals (<2.0cm SL) fed mainly on copepods. While the consumption of copepods decreased with increasing fish size, the consumption of polychaetes and amphipods were increased. Dietary breadth index was varied with fish size.

        진동만 잘피밭에서 서식하는 대형 부착해조류는 총 3종이었으며, 출현종은 갈조류의 Scytosiphon lomentaria, Colpomenia sp., 그리고 홍조류의 Gracilaria sp., 으로 구성되어 있었다. 한편 미세 부착해조류는 Cocconeis scutellum와 Cocconeis placentula가 우점하였다. 잘피에 부착하여 서식하는 부착해조류의 현존량은 계절 변동이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 대형 부착해조류는 2003년 11월에 3.3 g DW/m2, 미세 부착해조류는 2003년 6월에 43,153 cells/m2를 보이며 가장 높게 나타났다. 다른 해역의 잘피밭(광양만, 동대만 및 앵강만)과 비교해보면, 본 조사해역의 잘피밭에서 서식하는 부착해조류의 종 다양성 및 현존량이 매우 낮게 나타나 특이하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 잘피밭의 물리학적인 환경특성(예를 들면 조류 및 유속), 잘피 자체의 생물학적인 특성, 그리고 수질의 악화에 기인하였다.

        The present investigation establishes deltamethrin resistance in the common bed bug, Cimex lectularius, populationcollected from New York City (NY-BB). The mortality resistance ratio indicated that NY-BB population was 264-fold more resistant to 1% deltamethrin in contact bioassay compared to one insecticide- susceptible population collected in Florida (FL-BB). Specific enzyme activities (general esterase, glutathione S-transferase, and 7-ethoxycoumarin O-deethylase) of NY-BB were not statistically different from those of FL-BB, indicating that the metabolic factors are not associated with the deltamethrin resistance in NY-BB. Complementary DNA fragments that encoded the open reading frame of voltage-sensitive sodium channel α-subunit genes from the FL-BB and NY-BB were obtained by homology probing PCR and sequenced. Sequence alignment of the internal and 5’ and 3’ RACE fragments generated a 6500 bp cDNA sequence contig, which was composed of a 6084 bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding 2027 amino acid residues and 186 bp 5’ and 230 bp 3’ untranslated regions (5’ and 3’UTRs, respectively). Sequence comparisons of the complete open reading frames of the sodium channel genes identified two point mutations (V419L and L925I) that were presented only in the NY-BB population. L925I, located the intracellular loop between IIS4 and IIS5, has been previously found in the pyrethroid-resistant populations of whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) that was more than 100-fold resistant to fenpropathrin. V419L, located in the IS6 transmembrane segment, is a novel mutation. This evidence suggests that the two mutations are likely the major resistance-causing mutations in the deltamethrin-resistant NY-BB via a knockdown-type nerve insensitivity mechanism.

        본 연구는 국화 재배온실에서 사용되고 있으면서 수작업 시 많은 노동시간이 요구되는 국화 유인네트를 대상으로 작업의 소요시간을 대폭 절감시켜 재배 작기를 증가시킴은 물론 국화재배용 유인네트의 베드를 기존 및 신축 국화재배 온실에 보급할 목적으로 네트의 베드를 설계한 후, 베드 및 기존 온실의 구조적 안전성을 검토하였다. 총 15종류의 부재에 대한 단면의 특성과 역학적 성질을 검토하고 각각의 부재에 대한 응력비를 검토한 결과, 이들 파이프 중 ∅38.1×1.7t와 ∅38.1×2.0t의 경우, 응력비는 초과하지 않았지만 처짐의 제한 값인 10mm를 초과하였으므로 응력비와 처짐의 제한 값을 모두 만족하는 최적 파이프는 ∅48.1×1.5t인 것으로 나타났다. 유인네트의 베드를 중방에 설치할 경우, 베드 하중, 풍하중 및 설하중 때문에 중방은 트러스로 설계되어야 안전한 것으로 나타났다. 중방을 트러스로 시공할 경우에도 풍하중 및 설하중이 작용하면, 베드의 유무에 관계없이 거창지역의 국화재배 온실의 경우, 기둥과 방풍벽에 발생되는 응력은 허용응력을 초과하기 때문에 적절한 보강이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

        Pressure sores are painful and needless complications of critical illness. and manifest as a localized area of ischemic necrosis of tissue caused by pressure. This study analyzed the bed-backrest elevation system combined with hip and knee flexion for lower extremity lower pressure reduction. Eight healthy adults aged 21 to 26 years were recruited. The Body Pressure Measurement Mat of the TekScan system was used to measure the location and magnitude of the peak pressures on the body bed interface. The SPSS statistical package was used to analyze the significance of differences between the general bed-backrest elevation system and the bed-backrest elevation system combined with hip and knee flexion using the paired t-test. The result showed that the body-pressure of the lower extremity was more significantly reduced for the bed-backrest elevation system combined with hip and knee flexion (26.6±4.3 mmHg) than a general bed-backrest elevation system (37.3±5.2 mmHg) (p<.05).

        The properties of pyrolytic carbon (PyC) deposited from C2H2 and a mixture of C2H2/C3H6 on ZrO2 particles in a fluidized bed reactor were studied by adjusting the deposition temperature, reactant concentration, and the total gas flow rate. The effect of the deposition parameters on the properties of PyC was investigated by analyzing the microstructure and density change. The density could be varied from 1.0 g/cm3 to 2.2 g/cm3 by controlling the deposition parameters. The density decreased and the deposition rate increased as the deposition temperature and reactant concentration increased. The PyC density was largely dependent on the deposition rate irrespective of the type of the reactant gas used.

        The fluidized bed has been used generally for Industrial process such as chemical reaction process, separation process, incineration and etc. It is very efficient for such application because of equitable contact of each fluidized element with fluid passing through it and maximizing active contact area to adsorb and react from the fluid. This study had focus on application of fluidized bed for air purifier as household appliance and analyzed its performance in comparison to typical fixed media type. As a result, fluidized bed performed in this study had higher removal efficiency for acetaldehyde over two times within initial operation term and had lower pressure drop over 0.7mmAq than that of fixed media type.
