This study aimed to identify consumer demands and propose improvement measures for restaurants by conducting an importance-satisfaction analysis of the attributes that influence dining consumers’ restaurant selection. The key findings are as follows: An analysis of consumer hygiene behavior revealed that participants were particularly vigilant about washing food ingredients, checking expiration dates, and maintaining personal hygiene before meals. Notably, women exhibited significantly higher hygiene behaviors than men in 9 out of 12 items. The importance analysis of restaurant selection attributes indicated that “food cleanliness” and “food taste” were prioritized, with women assigning higher importance to almost all attributes, particularly emphasizing restaurant cleanliness and food taste. The satisfaction analysis showed that “food taste” and “food cleanliness” were the most satisfying attributes, with significant gender differences observed in 4 out of 26 items. The importance-satisfaction analysis demonstrated that satisfaction levels were consistently lower than importance levels across all 26 attributes. The ISA analysis identified that items in the second quadrant, such as restroom cleanliness, reasonable price, and the provision of food safety information, were in the most urgent need of improvement. Overall, the study highlights that consumers place a high level of importance on hygiene and cleanliness in restaurants, reflecting a market with increasingly stringent hygiene standards.
This study aimed to understand the needs of consumers in the meal kit market and determine the impact of meal kit selection attributes according to the consumption behavior of single-person households on purchase decisions and satisfaction. A summary of the results of this study is as follows: First, the most frequent purchase frequency of meal kits was 2 to 3 times a month. The reason for purchase was that it was easy to consume, and the most common purpose of purchase was for consumption. Second, four factors, including health, convenience, taste, and economics, were derived as a result of a factor analysis of meal kit selection attributes. The difference in meal kit selection attributes according to age groups revealed that those in their 20s had high scores with respect to health and taste factors, and economic factors appeared statistically significant. Third, an analysis of the meal kit product selection attributes showed that health and taste factors had a positive influence on satisfaction. This can be said to reflect the tendency of single-person households to give weightage to healthy eating and to purchase products that can be consumed conveniently.
This study contemplates the effect of social media advertising attributes on consumers’ purchasing decisions in cosmetic products. It will serve as basic data for SNS’s advertising strategy and marketing that promotes cosmetics sales. This study conducted a survey and went through the analysis process of SPSS v.25.0 statistical program. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to analyze that informativity, reliability, entertainment, interactivity, and disturbance among SNS advertising attributes were used as effective advertising strategies, which had a positive effect on consumers' purchasing decisions. Therefore, in the cosmetics industry, it is necessary to seek strategies to actively utilize marketing in the social media space to promote consumers' purchase needs and to activate purchases.
Consumption market research was conducted on gradually increasing vegetarians using various selection attributes. Factors were extracted to identify vegetarian selection attributes and to divide the study cohort into groups, continuous variables (health, animal welfare, eco-friendliness, religion, familiarity, convenience, stability, and cost) and categorical variables (age, marital status, vegetarian duration, and vegetarian frequency) were simultaneously subjected to two-step cluster analysis. Cluster 1 contained high proportions of 20-29 and 30-39 year-olds, which are MZ-generation age groups. A high proportion had a vegetarian duration of 1-3 years, and the popular reasons for vegetarian selection were animal welfare and eco-friendliness. Cluster 2 contained high proportions of 50-59 and 40-49 year-olds, and many in this cluster were married, and mean vegetarian duration was ≥15 years. In addition, significant differences were observed between Clusters 1 and 2 in terms of religion, health, familiarity, cost, stability, and convenience. This study should contribute significantly to predicting vegetarian consumers’ selection decisions and consumption behaviors and provide reliable marketing data for foodservice companies that develop vegetarian foods.
본 연구는 국내 풋살장의 효율적인 운영 전략을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 선택속성이 고 객만족 및 참여의도에 어떠한 영향력이 있는지를 검증하고자 했다. 따라서 국내 풋살장을 이용한 사람들을 표본으로 선정했으며, 편의표본 추출방법을 활용했다. 최종분석은 271부의 자료를 활용했다. 자료처리는 SPSS(ver. 21.0) 프로그램으로 빈도분석, 요인분석 및 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 단순 및 다중회귀분석을 실시 했다. 연구결과는 첫째, 국내 풋살장 선택속성은 서비스, 편의성, 가격, 시설 순으로 고객만족에 유의한 영 향이 있었다. 둘째, 고객만족이 참여의도에 유의한 영향이 있었다. 셋째, 선택속성은 시설, 서비스, 편의성, 가격 순으로 참여의도에 유의한 영향이 있었다. 이상의 결과들을 종합해보면 국내 풋살장들은 소비자들이 보다 편리하고 안전하게 풋살 경기를 즐길 수 있는 시설과 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.
This study evaluated the consumers’ demands and points of improvement for restaurant meal replacement through importance–performance analysis by the restaurant meal replacement segment market using food involvement. The results were as follows. First, after segmenting the restaurant meal replacement market using food involvement, it was classified into three markets (multiple involvements, exploration-oriented, and product quality-oriented). Second, an analysis of the importance of restaurant meal replacement selection attributes revealed taste, sanitation, quality, freshness, price, saving time, texture, ingredients, preparation process, and quantity to be highly important. An analysis of the differences according to the market type revealed the multiple involvement type to be more important than other groups, considering the restaurant meal replacement selection attribute element. Third, an analysis of the importance-performance analysis of restaurant meal replacement selection attributes revealed that quantity and price as the selection attributes that needed to be improved first in all three markets. In addition, in the multiple involvement type, food additives appeared as a selection attribute requiring priority improvement, revealing the characteristics of a market that cares about diet and health.
본 연구는 IPA 기법을 이용하여 중국인 골프장 이용객의 골프장 선택속성 요인에 대한 재방문 의도 및 추천의도에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 수행하고자 중국인 골프장 이용객 388명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 자료처리 및 IPA 분석을 실시한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째 선택속성의 중요도는 직원 예절, 만족도는 식당 및 식음료 가격이 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, IPA 매 트릭스 분석 결과, 지속유지에는 8개, 집중개선은 14개, 낮은 우선순위는 5개, 과잉노력지양은 3개의 선택 속성이 분포하였다. 셋째 비용, 접근성, 코스시설, 부대시설, 캐디 전문성, 이용객 관리의 만족도가 재방문 과 추천 의도에 모두 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 중국인 골프장 이용객으로 한정하였기 때 문에 골프문화가 다른 국가에서 연구된 선행연구와는 그 결과를 비교하는데 있어 차이가 있을 수 있기 때 문에 문화의 다양성을 고려한 연구들이 향후에 진행되어야 할 것이다.
본 연구는 학부모들이 인식하는 태권도장의 선택속성을 중심으로 만족도 및 지속적 참여의도 간의 영향력을 규명하여 차별화된 선택속성에 의한 경쟁력 강화와 효율적인 운영방안의 기초자료를 제공 하고자 했다. 따라서 수도권에 위치한 태권도장에 등록해 자녀가 참여한 경험이 있는 학부모들을 표본으로 선정해 2021년 2월 1일부터 26일까지 조사를 실시했으며, 총 386부의 자료를 최종 분석에 이용했다. 자료 처리는 SPSS(ver. 21.0) 프로그램을 활용해 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 문항내적일관성, 상관분석, 단순 및 다중회귀 분석을 실시했다. 본 연구의 주요 결과, 첫째, 태권도장의 선택속성은 시설 및 환경, 지도자, 가격, 프로그램 순으로 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘쨰, 태권도장의 만족도는 지속적 참여의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도장의 선택속성은 접근성, 시설 및 환경, 지도자, 프로그램 순 으로 지속적 참여의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
This study identifies the perceptions and choice attributes toward plant-based foods and identifies the differences between vegetarians and omnivores. We conducted an online survey of 245 vegetarians and 246 omnivores. The results reveal a significant difference between vegetarians and omnivores. Compared to omnivores, vegetarians perceived that plant-based food products would be ‘good taste’, ‘animal-friendly’, and ‘consistent with their personal value’. Omnivore scores were higher in the perception that it would be ‘good for health’ and ‘environment-friendly’. No statistically significant difference was obtained between both diet groups when considering the factor of nutrition. When considering choice as an attribute for plant-based food products, vegetarians responded that ‘ingredients’ were the most important, while omnivores responded that ‘taste’ was the most important. These results can be used as basic data for developing and promoting plantbased food products in South Korea.
The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the importance and satisfaction of consumer selective attributes by home meal replacement (HMR) types using local ingredients. This study was conducted from December 4 to December 8, 2020. A total of 380 responses organized according to preferred types of HMR (100 for Ready to Eat (RTE), 92 for Ready to Heat (RTH), 88 for Ready to Cook (RTC), 100 for Ready to Prepared (RTP) were used for the final analysis. Statistical analysis was conducted by descriptive analysis, paired t-test, and importance-satisfaction analysis by HMR type. Findings of this study showed significant differences in consumer selective attributes by HMR type. RTE and RTC need to improve quality while RTH needs to improve quality and packaging. Notable selective attributes were quality, packaging, and information. They were located in different quadrants of each HMR type. All other attributes appeared in the same quadrant. Further research is needed to determine differences in quality, packaging, and information for each HMR type. Results of this study provide basic data for developing products and marketing strategies for each type of HMR products using local ingredients.
목적: 본 연구는 안경 구매에 중요한 선택 요인을 분석하여 안경 소비자가 가장 선호하는 안경 구매 선택 요인에 대한 특징을 파악하고, 안경을 구매 할 때, 중요 속성에서 변화가 요구되는 속성을 찾아 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.
방법 : 컨조인트 분석을 실시하여 안경 구매 시 중요 선택 요인 중 가장 선호하는 소비자 선택 속성의 조합과 중요도를 분석하였다.
결과 : 안경 구매 시 중요 선택 속성을 분석한 결과, 소재는 ‘견고함’, 디자인은 ‘얼굴형에 맞는’, 가격은 ‘7만원 이상~15만원 미만’, 안경구매장소는 ‘온라인에서 구매’, 판매방식은 ‘one-stop 지원’을 가장 중요한 속성으로 나 타났다. 그러나 컨조인트 분석 결과, 안경 구매 시 최대의 효용을 주는 선택 속성의 조합은 소재는 ‘편안함’, 디자인은 ‘얼굴형에 맞는’, 가격은 ‘7만원 미만’, 구매 장소는 ‘안경원에서 구매’, 판매방식은 ‘one-stop 지원’으로 분석 되었다. 안경 구매 시 중요 선택 속성을 인구통계적 변수와 도수 안경 사용 특성 변수별 카이제곱 분석을 한 결과, 성별, 연령별, 도수 안경 교체주기별 집단에서만 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.
결론 : 본 연구를 통해 안경 구매에 중요한 소비자가 선호하는 최적의 선택 속성의 조합 및 중요 속성이 무엇인지를 도출하였을 뿐만 아니라 이를 바탕으로 소비자의 인구통계적 변수와 안경 사용 특성 변수별로 차이를 비교하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.
The number of vegans has increased rapidly due to religious and ethical beliefs, environmental concerns, health, etc. Also, as interest in healthy and safe food increases, the demand for organic products or nutrition-enhanced products is increasing. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the selection attributes and purchasing behavior for protein-fortified and vegan snacks. It is anticipated that the results would find use as basic data for developing protein-fortified snacks for vegans that can meet consumer needs and derive marketing strategies. A survey was conducted on 140 consumers. According to the analysis of their purchase behavior, the number of people who had purchased high-protein snacks and vegan snacks was higher than those who did not have prior experience. The reasons for the purchase of protein fortified snacks included ‘meal replacement’ at ‘offline-convenient store/supermarket’. Vegan snacks were purchased for ‘ethical beliefs, health, environment’ at ‘offline-vegan restaurant, bakery’. Both snacks showed above-normal preferences. However, it is necessary to improve taste and flavor when developing these products as these were the factors that negatively impacted the preferences. The attributes were factorized into the ‘showing off factor’, ‘sensory factor’, ‘credence factor’, and ‘functional factor’ and the ‘sensory factor’ was considered the most important.
Food tourism is recognized as a unique form of tourism product that combines traditions and regional characteristics and has become an international trend. However, research on food tourism in Korea is limited. Thus, this study investigated the selection attributes of food tourism in Italy, France and Japan. A qualitative study was conducted among 34 foreign food tourism experts on food tourism in their respective countries to find possible directions for Korean food tourism. As a result of this study, ‘Food attraction’, ‘Traditionality’, ‘Locality’, ‘Convenience’, ‘Cultural Characteristics’, and ‘Appropriateness of price’ were the attributes identified from the expert’s comments. Marketing strategies such as improving quality of service and food itself, quality of service, developing diverse food tourism product, and building marketing channel will improve the status of food tourism in Korea.
This study was conducted to identify the choice attributes in the purchase of chocolate and to identify differences between the choices, by considering the purpose of purchase being self-gift or interpersonal gift. The preferred optional attributes considered and assessed were capacity, package, product composition, brand reputation, and sensuality. The survey included customers who purchased chocolates from June 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017. T-test was applied to verify the difference in optional attributes depending on the purpose of purchase. Our results indicate that people consider packages, product composition, and reputation for interpersonal gifts, and that Valentine's Day purchases are frequently for themselves and others' gifts. Our results will help to identify chocolate consumption behavior, and will facilitate in establishing chocolate product composition and development as well as brand positioning strategies, through factors affecting preferences based on the purpose of purchase.
Using the developed wedding planner selection criteria scale, this study examined whether wedding planner selection criteria differ according to consumer characteristics such as demographic characteristics and wedding preparation behaviors. The main survey for this study was conducted via the Internet with 295 consumers aged 20-30 living in the Seoul metropolitan area. The data collected from the survey processed and analyzed using the statistical programs SPSS 21.0 t-test. Analyzing how wedding planner selection criteria differ according to consumers’ demographic characteristics and wedding preparation behaviors, results shown for the wedding planner selection criteria were all four points on average except for individual characteristics and important sub-factors regardless of the consumers’ characteristics, and various results were derived depending on the consumers’ characteristics. This study has various practical implications in that it verified the difference in wedding planner selection criteria according to consumer characteristics and determined how much money consumers were willing to play for wedding planners. It is recommended that future studies take various approaches to investigate how wedding planner users are satisfied with or place importance on wedding planner services and conduct empirical using the selection criteria developed in this study to compare influential variables that affect behavior intention and willingness to pay according to consumer type.
This study on the importance and satisfaction of selection attributes for customers using Michelin restaurants. The survey was conducted on 309 respondents who had visited and used restaurants by classifying the Michelin restaurants into starred restaurants and Bib Gourmand restaurants. The data was collected and the frequency analysis, t-test verification, and IPA analysis were performed using the SPSS 25.0 statistical program. The results of the study examined the difference between the importance and satisfaction of the choice of starred restaurants. Overall, the importance was higher than satisfaction. The importance of hygiene and cleanliness was recognized by many customers that the expectation for the overall Starred restaurants was very high. Bib Gourmand, showed that the importance was higher than satisfaction. In terms of importance and satisfaction, the taste of food is the most important and the satisfaction is high. Comparing the IPA analysis of the attributes of 1) hygiene and cleanliness, food quality, convenience, and facade of food, 2) service professionalism and variety of menus, 3) food price, atmosphere and amount, and 4) the attitude and kindness of the employees were shown. This study has great significance in providing practical basic data for the management of domestic Michelin restaurants.
This study examined the relative importance and the effective utility of fermented milk by consumers. The questionnaire was developed by an in-depth interview and literature review and was surveyed on-line. Statistical analysis was carried out descriptive analysis, ANOVA, paired t-test, and conjoint analysis using the SPSS package. First, an analysis of the consumption status of fermented milk found that the consumption frequency was 1-2 times/week (36.2%), 3-4 times/week (26.5%). The product choice attributes of fermented milk were found to be the same with ‘taste’ (3.93) and ‘manufacturing date/expired date’ (3.92), rated the highest, followed in order by, ‘sanitary quality’ (3.82), ‘origin of ingredient’ (3.81). Comparative analysis of the importance and satisfaction level of the choice attributes of fermented milk showed that the choice attributes with lower satisfaction compared to importance were ‘taste’, ‘nutrients’, ‘manufacturing data/expired date’, ‘sanitation quality’, ‘price’, ‘manufacturing method’ and ‘certification of quality’ (p<0.001, p<0.01). ‘Price’ and ‘certification of quality’ were the choice attributes of fermented milk classified as ‘Focus Here’ because of its high importance and low satisfaction. The preferred combination of relative importance in choice attributes of the fermented milk was ‘domestic resource’, ‘Eat with spoon’, and ‘none additives’. Therefore, it is believed that sales will increase if dairy companies can improve the ‘price’ and ‘certification of quality’. In addition, the use of domestic ingredients in the development of new fermented milk products in the future could be an important marketing factor in consumer choice.
The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the consumption behaviors for purchase of Home Meal Replacement (HMR) products and importance and satisfaction on selective attributes of HMR in middle-aged adults by gender. The subjects were 919 middle-aged adults (400 males and 519 females; 40 to 64 years) residing in Seoul and its metropolitan area, who have HMR purchasing experience. The survey was conducted from January to August 2018. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 program. Consumption frequency of HMR products in male and female subjects was 1-2 times a month by 42.3% and 40.8% and 4-6 times a month by 26.8% and 19.8%, respectively (p<0.05). Reasons for purchasing HMR in male and female subjects were shown significantly different from saving time by 44.8% and 50.5% and easy cooking by 25.8% and 16.6%, respectively (p<0.01). HMR products with high preference and satisfaction for the subjects included Gimbap, precooked dried rice, and frozen food. According to the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), selective attributes of HMR with high importance and low satisfaction in the second quadrant were food additives, origin, nutrient content, and price, for both male and female subjects; additionally, hygiene was a factor included only by female subjects. Therefore, these results suggest that it is needed to consider to produce HMR products with improved qualities using reliable food materials and ingredients and to maintain competitive pricing for the expansion of HMR products consumption of middle-aged adults.
현재 반려견 펜션은 사업주의 경험과 직관에 의지해 반려견 놀이터 시설을 설치하고 있다. 보편적인 시설은 반려견 운동장, 수영장, 샤워장이며 사람 위주 시설로 운영되는 곳도 많다. 본 연구에서는 반려견 펜션의 이용자들이 펜션의 일반적 선택속성이 아니라 반려견 놀이터를 중심으로 펜션을 선택한다는 것을 규명하고, 반려견과 보호자의 특성이 시설 선택속성 중요도에 영향하는지를 검증하였다. 연구 결과 1) 반려견 펜션의 일반 선택속성을 도출하였고, 2) 반려견 펜션의 반려견 놀이터 시설 선택속성이 추출되었으며, 3) 반려견의 특성에 따른 시설 선택속성 중요도를 규명하였다. 또한 4) 반려견 보호자들의 특성이 반려견 놀이터 시설의 선택에 영향하는지, 5) 천연 / 인조 잔디 및 산책로 포장에 중요도 차이가 나타나는지 검증하였다.
This study attempts to improve the understanding of the rapidly growing online video platform market such as Youtube and OTT, and to investigate the attributes and relative importance of them. For this purpose, the factors that influence the choice to use were derived through literature studies and the Focus Group Interview (FGI), and the priority of the factors was calculated through the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The upper layer of the AHP structure was ‘Relationship’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Informativity’, and ‘Convenience’, and the lower layer was structured into 13 elements. The importance priority analysis among the factors that influence the choice to use was done by teenagers, 20s, and 30s and the results are summarized as follows : First, Users consider the ‘Just for fun’ and ‘Satisfaction of interests’ as the most important factors, followed by ‘Easy accessibility to use’, ‘Vicarious satisfaction’, ‘Usefulness of Information’, and ‘Up-to-dateness of information’. Second, the ranking of the upper layer was in the order of ‘Entertainment’-‘Informativity’-‘Convenience’-‘Relationship’.As a result of AHP,‘Entertainment’ was 3.6 times more important than ‘Relationship’. In the comparison by age group, only teenagers regarded that ‘Convenience’ is more important than ‘Informativity’. According to the characteristics of the age group, the lower layer of teenagers consider ‘Convenient function’ to be important and ranked ‘Usefulness of information’ in 8th. While ‘Vicarious satisfaction’ ranked 4th out of 13 factors in the entire age group, those in their 20s and 30s ranked 8th, showing a difference. In the case of 20s, ‘Reasonable price’ was ranked 4th and the ‘Diversity of Information’ was ranked 5th, Otherwise 30s consider ‘Trustworthiness of Information’ to the third. Third, unlike ‘Convenience’ which was the lower-rank in the upper layer AHP analysis, ‘Easy accessibility to use’, the lower-layer of convenience, ranked third overall in the importance analysis among the 13 lower-layer factors, and showed a similar patterns in the age groups results. In the conclusion, this study demonstrates that ‘Convenience’ and ‘Vicarious satisfaction’ factors, which were not relatively well addressed in the previous studies, are the key factors to be considered in. By presenting the results of the importance analysis on each of the selected attributes, This study has a practical implication that Industries such as on-line video service platform provider can use the importance priority in establishing the directions of future strategy.
