        The composites fabricated by powder in sheath rolling method were cold-rolled by 50% reduction and annealed for 1.8 ks at various temperatures ranging from 200 to 50, for improvement of the mechanical properties. The mechanical properties and texture of the composites after rolling and annealing were investigated. The tensile strength of the composites increased significantly due to work hardening after cold rolling, however it decreased due to restoration after annealing. The strength of the composites was improved by thermo mechanical treatment. On the other hand, the texture evolution with annealing temperatures wa,i different between the unreinforced material and the composites. The unreinforced material showed a deformation (rolling) texture of which main component is {112}<111> at annealing temperatures up to 30. However, the composites have already exhibited a recrystallization texture of which main component is {001}<100> after annealing at 20. This proves that the critical temperature for recrystailization is lower in the composites than in the unreinforced ones.

        Aluminum-based composites were fabricated by a powder-in sheath rolling method. A stainless steel tube with outer diameter of 12 mm and wall thickness of 1 mm was used as a sheath. A mixture of aluminum powder and particles of which volume content was varied from 5 to 20%, was filled in the tube by tap filling and then rolled by 75% reduction in thickness at ambient temperature. The rolled specimen was then sintered at 56 for 0.5 h. The mixture of Al powders and particles was successfully consolidated by the sheath rolling. The composite fabricated by the sheath rolling showed a recrystallized structure, while unreinforced Al powder compact fabricated by the same procedure showed a deformed structure. The unreinforced Al powder compact was characterized by a deformation (rolling) texture of which main component is {112}<111>, while the composite showed a mixed texture oi deformation and recrystallization. The sintering resulted in recrystallization in Al powder compact and grain growth in the composite.

        Underlayer의 종류 및 두께가 Al 박막의 배향성 및 면저항 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. Al의 underlayer로서 sputtering 방식으로 증착되는 Ti와 TiN이 적층된 구조인 Ti/TiN이 사용되었으며, 각각에 대해 두께를 변화시키면서 Al 박막의 배향성, 면저항을 조사하였고, 400˚C, N2 분위기에서 열처리하면서 면저항의 변화를 조사하였다. Ti만을 Al의 underlayer로 사용한 경우, Ti두께가 10nm 이상이면 우수한 Al<111> 배향성을 나타냈으며 Al-Ti 반응 때문에 열처리 후 Al 배선의 면저항이 크게 상승하였다. Ti와 Al사이에 TiN을 적용함에 의해 Al<111> 배향성은 나빠지나 Al-Ti 반응에 의한 면저항의 증가는 억제할 수 있었다. Ti/TiN underlayer의 경우, 우수한 Al<111> 배향성을 확보하기 위한 Ti의 최소두께는 20nm이었고, Al-Ti 반응을 억제하기 위한 TiN의 최소두께는 20nm이었다.

        In order to introduce the touch to engineering and industries, it must be preceded to dstablish a quantitative barometer of the feeling. for this purpose, we developed a tactile measuring system to measure physical properties of texture, such as surface roughness, friction coefficient and compliance. The tactile measuring system uses a LASER type displacement sensor, which is a non-contacting system, in measuring the surface roughness. By considering that human tactile system is a contacting mechanism, this non-contacting method needs to be modified. As a precedent research of that, we compared the contacting and non-contacting method in this paper. Surface roughness of ten cloths were measured by using the measuring system, then compared to the test results using the Kawabata evaluation system(KES), which uses a contacting method in measuring the surface roughness.

        We reexamined CDM texture large-scale structure (LSS) formation model. We confirmed that texture model is consistent with 4-year COBE data both in an open and a critical matter density (Ω0 = 1) universes, and then obtained normalization for density perturbation power spectrum. We next compare the power spectrum with LSS observation data. Contrary to the previous literature, we found that texture model matches with these data in an open universe no better than in an Ω0 = 1 universe. We also found that the model is more likely to fit these data in a cosmological constant dominated (Λ-) universe.

        Seoktanbyung, a traditional rice cake, was named in old literature, since from old times its taste was so good that one was not able to eat it without much regret. To suggest its standard preparing method, we prepared it by 0%, 10%, 15%, and 20% of the moderate standard of ground pine nuts which had much influence on its own special soft texture. The result of the analysis was as follows: The water content of Seoktanbyung was 31.62~34.62%. The degree of colour was L value: 48.17~56.88, a value: 6.07~8.24, and b value: 12.67~15.25, and the higher the degree of the addition of ground pine nuts was, L value and a value were more or less decreased, but b value was increased. The measured result of texture was: as for hardness and gumminess, there was a significance (p〈0.05) between Seoktanbyung with and without ground pine nuts, and as for cohesiveness, there was a significance (p〈0.05) between Seoktanbyung added 20% of ground pine nuts and another material, but each material showed a similar value of measure. The result of sensory evaluation was: as for sweetness and flavor, there was no significance among material, so ground pine nuts had no influence on the sweetness and flavor of Seoktanbyung, and as for crumbness and chewiness, there was a significance between Seoktanbyung with and without ground pine nuts. The general degree of the taste was: Seoktanbyung added 20% of ground pine nuts was the highest among others.

        The present study compares the texture describing terms used in East-Asian countries, China, Korea and Japan. The terms and definitions enlisted in the International Standard Sensory Analysis-Vocabulary, ISO 5492(second edition 1992) were used as the reference. It includes hardness, fracturability, chewiness, gumminess, viscosity, springiness, adhesiveness, granularity, conformation, moisture and fatness. The Chinese scripts used for the description of each textural terms in these three countries were compared and their native expressions were collected. The food items representing typical textual characteristics in the East Asian countries were also listed.

        극저탄소 알루미늄 킬드강내에 합금원소로 첨가된 Al, Ti, Nb, B등은 열처리 공정중 질화물이나 탄화물로 석출되어 강의 재결정집합조직을 변화시킴으로써 강판재의 디입드로잉 특성에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 Ti및 Nb를 단독으로 또는 동시에 첨가한 데 이어, B, P, Si 및 Mn등을 추가로 첨가한 극저탄소 고강도 강판의 집삽조직에 미치는 질화물, 탄화물과 같은 미세 석출물의 영향을 TEM, SEM, 광학현미경분석에 의하여 조사하였다. Nb 및 Ti를 동시에 첨가한 강에서는 미세한 Nb2C 및 Ti2AIN가 주로 석출되는 반면, Nb를 단독으로 첨가한 강에서는 미세한 AIN 및 조대한 BN이 석출되고,Ti를 단독으로 첨가한 강에서는 비교적 조대한 Ti4N3및 조대한 N10N22/Ti68이 석출되는 것으로 관찰되었다. 또한 이러한 탄질화물들의 석출에 의하여 세 강이 서로 다른 결정입도를 나타내는데, 결정입도는 Nb 및 Ti동시첨가강과 Nb단독첨가강이 서로 비슷하고, Ti단독첨가강이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다.

        여러 연구자들의 연구결과를 토대로 하여 침채류의 염장 발효과정중 나타나는 여러가지 화학적 성분과 조직감의 변화를 살펴본 결과, 식물조직의 변화는 펙틴질의 성질에 크게 영향을 받고 있었으며, 이러한 조직의 변화에 관여하는 요인들은 소금의 종류 및 농도, 절임시간, 온도, 예열처리, 염혼합물, 효소, 젓갈, 마늘첨가량 등이 복합적으로 작용하고 있었다.
