The traditional control charts have a problem that a control limits are placed to depend on the accuracy of estimate of parameters. This problem caused high false alarm rate. In this paper, we review the uncertainty of control limits and propose the methods which have more reliable control limits using a coefficient of variance. Further more, we present a efficient methods that can control a different type of quality characteristics at the same time. The Weibull distribution is used to modeling the control chart. This type control chart may be useful tools in the short production runs.

Cusum control chart are widely used in process with small shifts. Because of cusum control chart has reasonable detection capability for small shifts. But Cusum control chart has unreasonable detection capability for recurring cycles or quickly change of small shifts. In Shewhart control charts with recurring cycles or quickly change of small shifts, when a point falls outside Shewhart control limits, the process is out of control. But, if assignable causes occur in process and the points falls inside its control limits, process can be considered in-control. For this situations, Shewhart control charts are used zones method ( ex> A, B, C ... ). ( We say ‘runs rules’ ) This paper investigated cumulative sum control chart for this some situations.

The CRL(Conforming Run Length) control chart can perform for high yield processes and define the number of conforming items between two consecutive non-conforming ones. But the CRL control chart is not appropriate for lower yield processes because it is difficult to detect small shift in processes with the CRL control chart. This paper presents a combined CRL-CUSUM control chart and this is more efficient than CRL control chart for detecting small shift and uses the Markov Chain approach to calculate ARL(Average Run Length) values.

We developed the basic SPC software named as 100 ? Quality Renovation Software in 1998 as a government project supported by the Small and Medium Industry Administration and the Korean Standards Association. In 2002, Ministry of Industry and Energy conducted a survey research on the current status of quality management in the domestic industries including manufacturing and service industries. Among about 1000 answered industries, 40.6% has been using this 100? S/W for their quality improvement activities. In this paper, we present our ways to help small and medium sized industries improve quality by our user-friendly SPC software.

제품의 품질을 측정함에 있어 대부분의 방법들은 각각의 항목들에 대해 가중치를 부과하고 등급을 부여함으로써 실시된다. 그러나 고객의 입장에서는 단순한 등급보다는 객관적인 품질과 주관적 품질을 모두 고려한 보다 객관적인 품질평가지표를 원한다. 이 논문에서는 품질을 평가하는데 있어서 쌍대비교(Paired Comparison)와 메디안랭크(Median Rank) 방법을 사용하여, 상호 품질항목에 대한 쌍대비교를 통해 척도를 산출해 낸 후 해당되는 메디안 랭크를 부여함으로써 객관적 및 주관적 품질요소를 모두 반영한 통합된 품질평가 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

In human life, clothing, shoes and appliance are necessary and it"s importance is getting higher for better life. This paper is for standard of South and North Korea clothing, especially size. It is analyzing and comparing KS K 0050-0052 (which is south korea industrial standard) and KPS 8477.1~3, 8477.6, 8477.9, 10253 (which is north korea"s). With this research, it is found the difference and sameness, then this paper suggests the method for combining two different standard systems.

In the era of customer satisfaction(CS), managers in the service industry have been using new strategies and a new reinforcement of service quality in order to increase their competitiveness. In this paper, the Service-QFD model is based on SERVQUAL and Quality Function Deployment models. The service quality in each stage of service delivery process is measured by SERVQUAL model and the relationship is represented by the QFD model. We propose the effective model that is consistent with preference of users considering of weighting scale, which seriously affects technical importance rating.

This empirical study examines the execution level for total quality control based on general and oriental medical service industries. This empirical study verifies a theoretical model that TQM execution level shows differences between oriental and general medical service institutes. This empirical study also verifies the relationship among TQM practices, internal employees" satisfaction, and external customer satisfaction. The methodology employed for this study was field survey using questionnaires which were distributed to physicians, nurses, medical technicians and other administrative staffs in 11 medical service institutes in Seoul. Analysis methods of this study used SPSS 10.0 WIN program.
