‘Migamjosaeng’ (Diospyros kaki Thunb.) is a new pollination-variant non-astringent type (PVNA) persimmon cultivar developed by Sweet Persimmon Research Institute of Gyeongnam Agricultural Research & Extension Services. This cultivar was selected among the seedlings obtained from the cross between ‘Mazumotowase-Fuyu’ and ‘Nishimurawase’ in 1995. The seedlings were cultivated from 1996 to 2001 and ‘Migamjosaeng’ was selected in 2002. The tree growth habit and fruit characteristics of ‘Migamjosaeng’ were investigated from 2004 to 2007. The tree growth habit was moderate vigor and showed spreading shape. Flowers bloomed only in female flowers. The flowering time was similar to that of ‘Nishimurawase’ (control) in late May, but the harvest time was about 3 days earlier than ‘Nishimurawase’ in late September. ‘Migamjosaeng’ is characterized by its beautiful orange skin color with round flat shape of fruits. Average fruit size was about 160g. Soluble solids were 16.6°Brix and higher than that of control (14.5°Brix), which contributed to its excellent tastiness. It was noteworthy that occurrence of calyx-end cracked fruits and striped fruit was very rare compared with the control. Therefore, ‘Migamjosaeng’ trees produced marketable fruits much higher than the control tree. Flesh firmness was slightly high and similar to ‘Nishimurawase’.
본고의 목적은 울릉도쟁계의 결과 일본인이 더 이상 울릉도와 독도로의 도해를 금지당한 것에 대한 일본 측의 인식을 정리하고 그 역사적 의미를 분석한 것이다. 그를 위해서 (1) 17세기에 일본의 산인지방민들이 울릉도 근해에서 실행했던 어업활동의 성격과 그 주체였던 요나고의 오야 가문과 무라카와 가문의 성격을 정립하고, (2) ‘죽도 도해 면허’가 발급된 맥락을 17세기 초 일본의 정치적·사회적 배경에서 파악하고자 한다. 그리고 (3) 1696년에 막부가 지시한 ‘죽도도해금지령’이후에 오야와 무라카와 가문이 울릉도와 독도 도해에 대해서 어떻게 인식하고 있었는지를 밝히고자 한다. 이를 통해 현재 일본 정부가 주장하고 있는 것처럼 당시 도해를 금지당한 당사자인 오야와 무라카와 가문도 울릉도에 대한 도해는 금지 당했지만 독도에 대한 도해는 금지당하지 않았다고 인식하고 있었던 것인지에 대한 해답을 제시하고자 한다.
We investigated physicochemical properties of puffed snacks with intermediate and high amylose rice varieties. The intermediate amylose rice varieties ‘Sindongjin’ and high amylose rice varieties newly developed for food processing, ‘Dodamssal’ and ‘Goami4’ were tested for this study. The crude fat and crude protein contents of the rice cultivars ranged 1.47-3.08% and 6.30-7.63%, respectively. The resistant starch and amylose contents of Dodamssal and Goami4 were higher than those of Sindongjin. The hardness of rice was the highest in Sindongjin and Dodamssal. Also, Hardness of puffed snacks decreased by 72.07% for Sindongjin, 88.21% for Dodamssal and 66.67% for Goami4 compared to raw rice samples. The sensory evaluation showed that the highest scores in taste, texture and overall acceptability of puffed snacks were obtained in Dodamssal. The results of this study indicate that Dodamssal was suitable varieties for puffed snacks. Also, the physicochemical properties of Dodamssal were improved by the extrusion process. Therefore Dodamssal can be used for the industrial production of puffed snacks.
본 연구는 캄보디아 다문화가정 부모들이 생각하는 캄보디아어 교육 목적, 교육 방법, 어려움을 살펴봄으로써 캄보디아어 교육 지원 방안 마련에 필요한 기초자료 제공에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 캄보디아 다문화가정 부모 11명, 결혼이민여성 관련 업무에 종사중인 활동가 3명을 면담하고 분석했다. 연구결과 캄보디아 다문화가정 부모의 캄보디아어 교육 목적은 첫째, 가족 내 유대감 형성을 위한 의사소통 능력 증진, 둘째, 자녀의 안정된 생활을 위한 직업 역량 강화, 셋째, 캄보디아 발전에 기여할 수 있는 역량 강화, 넷째, 자녀의 행복한 삶을 위한 건전한 정체성 형성으로 나타났다. 캄보디아어 교육 방법은 첫째, 일상생활에서 엄마가 캄보디아어와 한국어를 동시에 사용하기, 둘째, 자녀가 캄보디아어를 궁금해 할 때 알려주기, 셋째, 캄보디아어에 대한 흥미를 유발해 동기 부여하기, 넷째, 어릴 때 캄보디아어로 양육하기, 다섯째, 캄보디아어를 사용해야 하는 상황 제공하기로 나타났다. 캄보디아 교육과 관련한 어려움은 첫째, 한국어 습득이 중시되는 가족 및 사회 분위기, 둘째, 캄보디아어 교육기관 부재 및 교재 부족, 셋째, 캄보디아어의 복잡한 자모음 체계 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 캄보디아 다문화가정 자녀들이 엄마 및 외가가족들과 의사소통하고, 다문화적 자산에 자부심을 가지고 모국어를 학습하며, 미래사회 인재로 성장하게 하기 위해서는 부모와 가족에게 모국어교육의 중요성을 교육하는 한편 영유아용 캄보디아어 교육 프로그램 개발과 자료 보급에 국가적 지원이 시급함을 시사한다.
Yogurt is produced by fermentation of milk using bacteria known as “yogurt cultures”. Most of these bacteria are probiotics such as Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, Lb. rhamnosus, Streptococcus thermophilus, and Bifidobacterium. The domestic fermented milk market is increasing, and about 30 companies are producing yogurt. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality characteristics of domestic commercial liquid yogurt. Total 30types of commercial yogurts were sampled and their physicochemicial properties, including pH, sugar content, acidity, viscosity, and microbial characteristics of lactic acid bacteria counts, were measured. Commercial liquid type yogurt showed a pH of 4.5, sugar content of 7.4-21.2%, total acid content of 0.4-0.9%, and viscosity of 0.1-250 cP. In terms of microbial populations, lactic acid bacteria counts were 7.2-11.3 log CFU/mL and anaerobic lactic acid bacteria counts were 8.0-11.5 log CFU/mL. The quality characteristics differed depending on the constituents of the sample and the microorganisms used. These results are related to the quality characteristics of yogurts and are useful for identifying new trends in the domestic fermented milk industry.
Aralia elata Seemann (AE) has long been used as a folk medicine for the treatment of various diseases including diabetes mellitus, anti-arthritic, and anti-gastric ulcer agent in Korea, Japan, and China. This study was performed to establish a simple and reliable HPLC/UV analytical method for determination of most active anti-hypertensive compound, a 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranosyl hederagenin 28-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranosylester (HE) for the standardization of the shoot extract of AE as a health functional food ingredient. The quantitative analytical method of HE was optimized by HPLC analysis using reverse-phase C18 column at 40°C with H2O and acetonitrile (70:30, v/v) as an isocratic mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and detection wavelength of UV 205 nm. This HPLC/UV analytical method showed good specificity and high linearity in the tested range of 0.03125-2.0mg/ml with excellent coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9999. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 12.0 μg/mL and 36.5 μg/mL, respectively. Relative standard deviation (RSD) values of data from intra- and inter-day precision were less than 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively. These results indicate that the established HPLC/UV analytical method is very simple, specific, precise, accurate, and reproducible and thus can be useful for the quantitative analysis of HE as a functional anti-hypertensive compound in AE extract.
In this study the effect of rice addition on the quality of beer was investigated. Pilot-scale brews were performed with addition ratios of 10, 20, 30, and 40% of brown rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. Hangaru) which were compared with 100% malt beer and commercial beers in terms of quality. Alcohol content of beer was between 3.93 to 4.40%. The total sugar content increased when the rice percent was increased. The pH range of beer were 4.32 and 4.60, which were no significant differences found among by the rate of rice added. Total acidity and amino-acidity decreased corresponding to increasing percent of rice, on the other hand, lightness of beer was increased the increase in percent of rice, while redness and yellowness of beer were decreased. The study demonstrated that the increases of rice addition in beer provided some positive effects on beer quality by decreasing bitterness where as improving beer color.
We investigated the effect of PE film thickness on the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) deastringency of ‘Sanggamdungsi’ (Diospyros kaki cv.) astringent persimmon at room temperature (25°C) and low temperature (-1°C). The fruits were individually packaged with PE film of which the thickness is 60, 80, 100, 115 or 130 μm and stored at room or low (-1°C) temperature. At room temperature, firmness shows the highest value (23.3-26.5) at 100 μm thickness. Top flesh browning and decay was monitored at 20 days after storage, and peel blackening and style-end softening was negligible at optimal thickness. Therefore, optimal film thickness of deastringency at room temperature is 80-100 μm. At this thickness, the astringency was removed after 5 days and the fruits can be distributed until 10 days after the MAP. At low (-1°C) temperature, firmness was maintained regardless of film thickness. However, the firmness is higher as the film is thicker. Top flesh browning and decay was not occurred even after 90 days after storage. Peel blackening and style-end softening was monitored at 90 days after storage. Off-flavor was monitored at 115 and 130 μm thickness. Therefore, optimal film thickness of deastringency at low (-1°C) temperature is 80-100 μm. At this thickness, the astringency was removed after 50 days and the fruits can be distributed until 80 days after the MAP.
Rice flours from five rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties with different amylose content were prepared by both wet and dry milling processes. The moisture content of wet-milled rice flours (WMR) was approximately three-times higher than that of dry-milled rice flours (DMR). Water absorption index (WAI), water solubility index (WSI), and swelling power (SP) increased in proportion to temperature. The WAI, WSI and SP values of DMR were higher than those of WMR. Baeokchal (BOC), which is a waxy rice cultivar, had a significantly high WSI value. Pasting properties of DMR, except for the BOC cultivar, resulted in an increase in peak, trough, final, and setback viscosities. The levels of resistant starch in four cultivars, except for Dodamssal (DDS), were under 1%, irrespective of the milling process, whereas the resistant starch contents of DMR and WMR in DDS were 9.18% and 6.27%, respectively. In vitro digestibility of WMR was higher than that of DMR, and the estimated glycemic index of the rice flour varieties ranged from 57.6 to 81.3. Damaged starch content of WMR was less than that of DMR; in addition, a negative correlation was observed between the amylose and damaged starch contents of WMR. These results suggest that the properties of rice flour vary depending on the milling method and flour variety, and could be a reference for selecting the appropriate processing method.
Germinated brown rice (GBR) has received considerable attention over the last decade as a means of enhancing the nutritional value and health-promoting functions of rice. The effect of germination on the physicochemical and textural properties of brown rice (BR) was investigated in different rice varieties (Samkwang, Misomi, Chindeul, and Hyeonpum). Cooking properties, such as water absorption, expanded volume, and soluble solids were significantly increased by germination in all rice varieties. Textural properties (hardness, toughness, adhesiveness, and stickiness) of cooked samples were determined using a texture analyzer. Hardness and toughness were decreased by germination, whereas stickiness and adhesiveness increased significantly. These results revealed that germination leads to improvements in the cooking and eating properties of BR. In Rapid Visco Analyzer (RVA), significant reductions were observed for peak viscosity, break down, set back, and final viscosity after germination. Although the amylose content of Misomi was slightly decreased by germination, that of other varieties increased significantly. Germination induced no noticeable change in the average chain length of amylopectin in Misomi, Chindeul and Hyeonpum, but led to a significant increase in Samkwang.
Plant molecular farming has attracted a lot of attention lately in the field of mass production of industrially valuable materials by extending application of the plant as a kind of factory concept. Among them, protein expression system using rice(Oryza sativa L.) callus is a technology capable of mass culture and industrialization because of a high expression rate of a target protein. This study was carried out to develop an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system to increase the utilization of rice callus. The transformation efficiency was improved by using the hand when seeds were de-husked for callus induction. Furthermore, we were possible induction of callus from 6 years old seed smoothly. Selection of the callus contained the target gene was required a cultivation period of at least 3 weeks, and the most efficient selection period was after 6 weeks of culture including one passage. This selection was confirmed that the gene was stably inserted into the genomic DNA of the plant cell by the southern blot analysis and progeny test. Such an efficient selection system of rice callus that can be cultured in the long term will be contribute to the industrialization of useful recombinant proteins using rice.
In this study, the regular inspection check-list for vulnerable areas of debris flow was developed in order to cope with expected debris flow in urban areas. First, items for regular inspection were obtained by the Delphi technique, and the regular inspection check-list was developed based on obtained items. The check-list was verified and improved by means of applying it in 2 test-bed site.
In this study the physicochemical properties and antioxidant capacities of ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc) Jungkwa with different kinds of sweeteners were determined. Jungkwa made with different sugars (sugar, xylitol, honey or oligosaccharides) were compared in aspect of physiochemical properties, antioxidant activities, total phenolic contents and sensory evaluation. Moisture contents Jungkwa treated different kinds of oligosaccarides showed highest value, in the order of honey, xylitol and sugar. L* value of Jungkwa treated with xylitol was the highest, a* value of Jungkwa treated with honey, sugar Jungkwa were higher then others. Free sugar contents of Jungkwa treated with sugar showed the highest value in sucrose, glucose and galactose. Jungkwa with xylitol showed lowest value in all free sugar contents. Hardness and chewiness of Jungkwa treated with xylitol showed the highest value. The antioxidant activity measured by DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity and total penolic content were the highest in Jungkwa treated with honey, followed by Jungkwa treated with xylitol, oligosaccharides and sugar. Appearance and color of oligosaccarides and honey treated Jungkwa were preferred. In ginger taste, sweetness, chewiness were highest in sugar treated Jungkwa (not significant difference in treatments). As a result, honey treated Jungkwa has higher antioxidant activity and quality than other sugar treatments.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of rice cultivars (Hangaru, Seolgaeng, Dasan-1 and Anda) on the quality characteristics of rice beer. Hangaru and Seolgaeng which are soft rice varieties, had moisture contents that were 14.48% and 14.62% higher than those of Dasan-1 and Anda, respectively. Dasan-1 and Anda showed higher protein contents than those of the other two varieties. The amylose content of Hangaru was found to be 17.71% lower than that of the other varieties, whereas the reducing sugar content of Hangaru and Seolgaeng was higher than that of Dasan-1 and Anda. Hardness measurements for Hangaru and Seolgaeng were lower than those for Dasan-1 and Anda. Measurements of the alcohol content, pH and color of beers brewed using these rice cultivars revealed no significant difference among the cultivars. However, measurement results for bitterness showed that beers brewed with Hangaru and Seolgaeng had lower bitterness than did the beers brewed with Dasan-1 and Anda. The results of this study indicate that Hangaru and Seolgaeng can be considered as cultivars with brewing qualities suitable for rice beer.
최근 미세먼지, 지구온난화로 인한 이상기후, 도시열섬 등 환경문제가 크게 대두되면서, 도시환경을 쾌적한 자연환경으로 극복하려는 연 구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 도시에 적합한 생태환경을 조성하기 위해서는 건물과 교목에 의한 일조환경 제약이 큰 도시 조경공간에 적절 한 초본류의 선택이 정원의 다층구조식재에 특히 중요하다. 따라서 도시 정원공간의 일조환경 예측에 필요한 적합한 소프트웨어의 개발이 시급하고 정성적 평가와 알고리즘 구현이 가능하도록 프로그램화가 선행되어져야 한다. 본 연구는 일조환경에 따른 초본류의 생장특성요 소(초장, 마디수, 엽폭, 엽장)을 종합 지표화하고자 한다. 전주에 위치한 국립원예특작과학원의 야외온실에 차광율이 각각 50%, 80%인 차 광막을 온실 지붕에 설치하여 일조환경을 음지, 반음지, 양지인 3조건에서 19종의 초본류의 생장특성요소를 2주마다 측정한 다음, 다중 척 도 분석(MCDA, Multi-criteria Desision Analysis)을 통하여 생장지수를 산출하였다. 음지조건에서 꽃범의 꼬리의 생장지수가 0.79로 가 장 높게 나타났고 양지에서는 숙근꽃향유, 매발톱은 각각 0.79, 0.77의 지수로 표현되었다.
지속가능한 빗물정원 설계를 위해서는 내부 구성요소 (식물, 토양, 여재층 등)의 최적화된 상호작용에 의하여 나타나는데 특히 국내 기후 환경에서는 함수량의 변동이 심하며 적용 가능한 식물의 종이 선정이 중요하다. 지속적 빗물정원으로서의 효율은 빗물의 유입패턴에 따른 적용가능한 식물과 여재의 종류에 의해 결정되고, 식생의 생장 차이에 따른 식재공간 유지 정도에 의해 지속성이 좌우된다. 본 연구는 근부 생장이 활발한 습생식물의 정원용 소재로서의 평가를 위해 식물별 침입수준(invasion level)을 분석하여 최적의 식재조합을 설계하는데 기 초자료로 활용하고자 한다. 대상식물은 속새 외 19종의 습생식물을 관상기준에 따라 직립형, 분지형, 포복형으로 나누고 5월부터 10월까 지 월 2회 각 식물의 피복율을 측정하였다. 20종 중 단위공간 피복율이 100%를 넘어 침입성이 높은 수준의 식물은 부처꽃, 박하, 아스타, 낙지다리, 갯까치수영, 삿갓사초, 고랭이로 나타났고 식재 초기부터 급속한 성장을 보인 식물은 갯까치수영, 박하, 낙지다리, 삿갓사초, 부 처꽃 순으로 식재설계시 고려해야할 수종으로 나타났다.
최근 전 세계적으로 자원 고갈의 문제에 대비한 신재생에너지 개발 및 자원순환에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 특히 수자원은 인간과 생태계에 밀접한 관련이 있는 자원중 하나로 수자원 순환에 대한 다양한 정책이 시행되고 있다. 그중 하수 재이용 정책으로 인해 다양한 처리법이 연구되고 있고, 전기응집 공법 또한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 전기응집은 전극에 일정전압이 가해지면 금속이 용해되어 수산화물을 생성하고 이것이 폐수 중콜로이드성 물질과 응집하여 침전되면서 오염물질을 제거한다. 전기응집은 시스템의 구성이 간단하여 조작이 쉽고, 온도나 pH에 거의 영향을 받지 않아 경제적인 장점이 있다. 하지만 전기응집 공법은 응집으로 인한 플럭을 제거해야 하며, 이는 여과로 빠르게 분리가 가능해 간단하게 처리할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전기응집 처리수에서 발생된 플럭을 제올라이트 여과를 이용해 처리하고자 하였다. 제올라이트를 이용하여 전기응집 플럭이 제거 가능한지 알아보기 위해 탁도를 측정하여 확인한 후, 오염물질 제거에 큰 영향을 미치는 여과유량을 설정하기 위해 EBCT 변화에 따른 실험을 진행하였다. 이때 탁도 뿐만 아니라 CODcr농도와 총인농도, pH를 측정하여 최적 EBCT를 판단하고 재이용수의 수질기준에 만족하는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다.
우리나라는 지형 특성상 효율적인 수자원 확보가 어려운 실정이기 때문에 안정적이고 지속적인 수자원 공급을 위해 수자원 개발의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 우리나라의 기존 수자원확보는 대형 댐이나 저수지 형태가 대부분이지만 이는 축조로 인해 대규모 생태계 훼손의 우려가 있어 최근 정부는 해수의 담수화 시스템 개발, 일회성 용수 재사용, 하수 재이용 등 새로운 정책을 시도하고 있다. 우리나라의 하수 재이용율은 매년 꾸준히 증가하는 추세이며 막 분리법, 이온교환 처리법 등 다양한 재이용수 개발공법에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 막 여과는 막의 수명이 비교적 짧고 막 교환비용이 높은 특성을 가지며, 이온교환 공정은 유지관리가 어렵고 용량에 비해 처리 비용이 고가인 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 처리법 외에 전기화학적 처리방법인 전기응집에 대한 연구를 시도하였다. 전기응집 공법은 유입 원수에 큰 영향을 받지 않아 폐수성상을 가리지 않고 오염물질을 효과적으로 처리할 수 있으며, 다른 공정과 비교했을 때 설치면적 당 처리 용량이 커서 경제적이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전기응집 공법에서 영향인자로 알려진 전류밀도, 전극 간격, 교반속도와 시간에 따른 제거효율을 Jar-test를 통해 확인하고 최적조건을 도출하였다. 또한 도출해낸 최적조건에서 전기응집을 이용해 하수처리수의 재이용수로 이용 가능성에 대해 판단하고자 하였다. 전류밀도는 0.036A/cm², 전극간격은 0.3cm, 교반속도와 시간은 100rpm, 5분에서 가장 높은 제거효율을 보여 이를 최적조건으로 결정하였다.
최근 도시화 및 인구 밀집화로 인해 폐기물 발생량이 급격하게 늘어나고 있으며, 매립장 내 수분이 매립된 쓰레기에 침투하여 발생하는 침출수의 양 또한 증가하는 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 침출수 내 함유된 고농도의 암모니아성 질소는 그 자체의 독성으로 인해 비교적 독성에 취약한 질산화 미생물에게 영향을 끼쳐 질산화 반응을 저해한다. 이와같이 생물학적 처리가 어려운 침출수와 같은 경우 화학적 침전법인 Struvite 결정화법이 현실적인 대안이 될 수 있다. Struvite는 MAP(magnesium ammonium phosphate, MgNH4PO4・6H2O)라고 알려져 있으며 고농도의 질소와 인을 동시에 처리할 수 있으며 반응시간이 짧아 별도의 처리시설이 불필요하다는 장점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 생물학적으로 처리가 곤란한 침출수를 struvite로 처리하고자 하였으며 제거효율을 극대화하기 위해 결정화 영향인자인 pH와 마그네슘, 인의 몰비에 대해 살펴보았다. Struvite 결정화시 pH 9.0에서 암모니아성 질소의 농도가 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 마그네슘과 인의 몰비가 클수록 암모니아성질소의 제거율이 높아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 struvite 결정성장에 미치는 요인인 교반강도(G) 및 교반시간(td)에 대하여 실험한 결과 교반강도가 높을수록 암모니아성 질소의 제거율이 상승하는 것으로 나타났으며, 교반시간의 경우 5분부터 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 확인되었다.
