        The present study has sought to analyse students’ perceptions and needs of intercultural learning in the level of college. Specifically, it examined how culture is conceived and what has been experienced and needed with regard to cultural or intercultural learning by college students. To this end, 120 students from three colleges located in Gwangju and Jeonnam area were asked to respond to a closed (4 Likert-scale) questionnaire which consists of 19 items. The major findings from the analysis are summarized as follows: (1) The students conceived culture as products rather than practices or perspectives; (2) the respondents experienced learning culture mostly in terms of products and practices as well and they are assessed by traditional test methods; and (3) the students were in favor of the multimodal and intercultural approaches to learning culture, although they have seldom learned the concepts such as intercultural communication, intercultural communicative competence etc. They wanted to learn the multiliteracy such as cultural and critical literacy too. Pedagogical implications and desirable directions of the design for teaching culture are discussed.

        The aim of the present study was to examine factors affecting Korean university EFL learners' English reading comprehension across two reading tasks (i.e., literal vs. inferential reading). To this end, five latent factors (linguistic, cognitive, affective, social, and English reading) were targeted, and the structural relationships among these five factors were analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Results of the present study demonstrate that for literal reading comprehension task, linguistic, cognitive, and social factors made a significant and direct impact on Korean university students' English reading performances, whereas the effect of affective factor was not significant. Regarding the inferential reading task, only linguistic and cognitive factors were significantly and positively associated with Korean university students' English reading comprehension. Implications for pedagogy as well as for future research directions were also provided.

        The purpose of this study is to offer raw data on managing naturalized plants by researching the naturalized plants distributed in Gyeongju Campus, Dongguk University. The results are as follows. The numbers of naturalized plants were summarized as 47 taxa; 13 families, 37 genera, 45 species and 2 varieties. In an analysis of life forms, there were 1 taxa of megaphanerophytes, 5 taxa of chamaiphytes, 7 taxa of hemicryptophytes, 1 taxa of geophytes and 33 taxa of therophytes. The following summarizes the attributes of the naturalized plants. Most of the plants commonly originated from North America and Europe. The 5 naturalized degree that was widely distributed and had many individual was the most common. Until 1921, after the opening of 1 period was the most common in the introduced period. There were 4 taxa of invasive alien plants; Rumex acetocella, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Aster pilosus and Lactuca sativa. As regards the management of invasive alien plants, because Rumex acetocella, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Aster pilosus and Lactuca sativa have a negative impact on the ecosystem, they need to be efficiently controlled.

        우리나라 대학 및 공공연구소에 투입하는 R&D재원으로 창출되는 논문, 특허 등의 지속적인 증가에도 불구하고 사업화 수준은 선진국에 비해 현저히 낮다. 이에 대학 등 공공 연구기관의 연구성과 제고와 지식 재산역량 강화를 위한 TLO의 역할이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 대학들이 재원의 한계 등으로 TLO에 전문 인력의 유치가 어렵고, 지식재산 권 출원 및 등록에 따른 행정적인 단위업무 정도만 수행하며 기술이전 및 출원 등록업무를 외부 기관에 의뢰하여 수행하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 특허청이 실시하고 있는 특허경영전문가 파 견사업의 평가를 통해서 TLO의 역량과 전문성이 대학의 특허 및 기술이전 성과에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하는 것이다. 이공계관련 126개 대학을 선정하여 사업을 지원받은 대학과 그렇지 않은 대학 간의 성과 차이를 비교하였다. 분석 결과 사업을 지원받은 후 경과시간이 오래된 경우 특허 출원 및 등록건수, 기술이전 계약건수에서 긍정적인 영향이 나타나는 것으 로 확인되었다. 이처럼 대학의 기술이전 및 사업화 성과 제고를 위해서는 전문가 확보와 장 기간의 전문성 확보노력이 중요하다고 판단된다.

        We are aimed to conduct the survey research to evaluate the university students's awareness pn the care systems of abandoned animals. We deals with the findings obtained from extensive interviews with a representative samples. The objectives of interviews included 546 students in Wonkwang, Keimyung and Chosun University. Questions focused on how students were recognized the need and policies of the care systems of the abandoned animals. Questionnaire and technical data are analysed and summarized. As the results of the survey research, the objectives of interviews had well understood about the policies of adoption of the abandoned animals. Conclusionally, the promotions of adoption of the abandoned animals were need. The effective promotions of the adoption of the abandoned animals will be desirable for the establishment of abandoned animal welfare.

        Purpose: This study was tried to identify the effects of problem-based learning integrated with simulation education on the critical thinking disposition, problem-solving process and self-confidence of nursing process in nursing students. Methods: This study was one group pre-post test design, participants are 47 senior nursing students. We developed the simulation practice by applying problem based learning taking 2 hours per session, once per week for 15 weeks. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Result: There was a significant difference simulation practice by applying problem based learning on the critical thinking disposition, problem-solving process and self-confidence of nursing process of nursing students. There was a correlation between each other variables. Conclusion: Therefore, suggest that the repeated studies to verify the effects of simulation practice by applying problem based learning.

        최근 대학의 입시전형의 다양화로 인하여 학생들의 학업 역량과 성취 수준에 편차가 점차 커지고 있기 때문에 대학공부를 수행하는 데 필요한 기초학력의 부족 등으로 인하여 대학공부의 부적응한 사례가 점차 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 학부생이 겪는 학업 문제를 해결하고 자신이 가진 학업 잠재력을 극대 화하여 성공적인 대학공부 수행할 수 있도록 지원하고자 집단 학습상담 프로그램을 개발하였다. 10명의 학생을 대상으로 시범 프로그램을 운영하고, 사전사후 검사를 실시하여 교육적 성과를 분석하였다. 프 로그램 참여자들은 인지적 정의적 영역에서 상대적으로 향상되는 변화를 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과는 집단 학습상담이 학생들의 학업 편차를 해소하고 자기 주도적 학습자로 자신의 학업 역량을 향상시키 는데 효과적임을 확인하였다.

        2008년 2학기부터 국내외 대학들은 외국인 교원(International Faculty)을 활발하게 임용하고 있다. 그 결과 대학 내의 외국인 교원의 숫자가 급격하게 증가했고, 이것은 대학의 교수, 학생 그리고 행정직원 들에게 새로운 도전을 창출하고 있다. 국내외 대학의 외국인 교원의 지원체제를 조사한 결과 대학 내의 외국인 교원들에 대한 교육적·행정적 지원이 미흡한 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 현재 A 대학교에 재직 중인 외국인 교원들의 설문 및 심층면접 조사결과에서도 지원의 미흡으로 인해 외국인 교원들이 대학 의 커뮤니티에서 배제되고 언어와 문화의 차이로 인해 대학의 교수들뿐만 아니라 학생들과의 의사소통 에서도 한계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 외국인 교원을 대학 커뮤니티에 통합시키고 그 들이 자신들의 역량을 최대한 발휘할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 효율적인 지원방안을 수립하고자 하였다.

        The study was carried out to investigate the efficacy of current nutrition labeling of processed foods and examine awareness among university students of nutrition information given current nutrition labels, and also awareness of the one-serving size of snacks that come in differently sized packages. A total of 100 students in Chungbuk, Korea participated in this study. About 60% of the subjects knew about nutrition labeling; however, a very small percentage (11%) of the subjects reported an experience of being educated about nutrition labeling. Also, just 32% of the students checked nutrition labels when they purchased processed foods. When understanding of nutrition information on labels of snacks in differently sized packaging was tested, over 80% of the subjects understood nutrition information accurately. Five different package sizes were studied. Of these 5, packages containing about 200% of one standard serving showed the highest rate of misunderstanding of total energy contents per container. Interestingly, the students most strongly preferred containers that contained 300% of one standard serving. From these results, we conclude that students consider the current recommendation for a serving size to be small, which may be related to misreading of nutrition labels of snacks that come in packages containing less than 300% of one standard serving size. To improve accurate understanding of nutrition labels of snacks, total package labels or dual column labels on packages containing less than 300% of one standard serving size should be considered.

        The purpose of this study is the examination of stress levels and the eating habits that are affected by stress, and the provision of basic nutritional education data for the improvement of the eating habits of students who have experienced stress-related nutritional problems. Using the BEPSI-K instruments, a questionnaire survey was administered to 327 student subjects (166 male and 161 female) in the areas of Seoul and Gangwon province. The subjects were classified into 3 groups (low-stress, medium-stress and high-stress), and 59 students (18%) belonged the high-stress group. The BMI readings of the Gangwon province students are significantly higher than those of the Seoul students. The survey results show that the lunch frequency and vegetable intake levels are lower in the high-stress group, whereas the intakes of hot spicy food is higher in this group; they also show that Gangwon province students had eating habits that are relatively undesirable compared with the Seoul students. There are significant differences between the Seoul students and Gangwon porvince students regarding residence type, household economic level, types of leisure activities and level of some stresses. The Gangwon province students ate occasionally breakfast, lunch and snacks, but their midnight snack consumption is relatively frequent compared with the Seoul students. The results of the survey indicate that the BEPSI-K score has a negative correlation with the following variables : sleeping time, economic level of household, degrees of satisfaction regarding appearance and academic achievements, lunch frequency and vegetable intakes. Desirable eating habits are essential for the maintenance of a favorable health status and for the stress-management of university students who need to be a healthy members of society in the near future. To facilitate the formation of desirable eating habits among university students, community-based nutritional assistance and appropriate nutritional education programs should be considered necessary.

        Our professors and teachers have been cooperated with professors and researchers of National Sciences Museum of Korea for the project of “Biodiversity of Mongolian” since 2012. This project is to study for Mongolian biodiversity by Mongolian and Korean scientists and to support advanced training for our professionals, to increase capabilities and training new methodologies for students and to publish articles from the conducted research. Our researches conducted following areas such as in Ikh Nart Nature reserve area in 2013, Khan Khentii strictly protected area in 2014, our university’s Shatan research camp in 2014, and Kherlen Toonot Nature reserve area in 2015. From these studies, we published articles of “Biodiversity of Ikh Nart Nature reserve” and “Biodiversity of Shatan area” in Korean journals. Our teachers anticipated for publishing guidebook “Methods to preparing natural taxidermy and herbarium” in Mongolian prepared by Korean scientists to useful for students in laboratory and field. Teachers are visited in National science museum of Korea, such as Mr. J.Ariunbold studied in 2013 and Dr. M.Munkhbaatar visited for 14-30 days to develop samples collected from field research. Our teaching assistant G.Onolragchaa is enrolled as doctoral student for Chunnam University in 2015 according to this project grant. Also Mr. P.Erdenetushig and one student are planning to visit in October for developing collected samples. In 2015, School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is willing to establish “Mongolian and Korean monitoring center”, it’s in compromise of both side, and Mongolian National University of education is prepared a room for this center. Коrean colleague provided USD 10.000 worth of new equipment such as electric motor, boryoscope, tent trap, Sherman trap, aquatic net, sweep net, glass vials and bottles for research and teaching of MNUE. Framework of Mongolian-Korean cooperative research project “Biodiversity of Mongolia” was held a conference topic on “Biological resource management and remote sensing survey” in Ulaanbaatar 2014 and 2015. Our scientists are planning future collaboration with scientists of Korean ocean research institute, Ornithological Society of Korea, Korea Institute of Environmental Ecology.         최근 기후변화 신산업 등장과 성장 및 2015년도 온실가 스 거래제 시행 등으로 산업체 및 관련기관에서 기후변화전 문가의 인력 수요가 폭발적으로 증가할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 따라서 Eco기후환경 융합 인력 양성 사업단은 기후환 경변화와 관련한 기본 및 응용 교육과 현장 훈련을 통한 관련분야 융합지식을 갖춘 전문 인재 양성을 목표로 하고 있다. 지역사회 및 산업체 등 현장 실무형 전문인재 양성을 위하여 교과과정과 연계된 다양한 비교과 프로그램을 운영 하고 있다. 산학협력 가족회사와 연계한 현장실습 지원체계 구축 및 운영을 통한 현장 적응형 인재를 양성하고, 산업사 회에서 요구하는 전공지식을 습득하여 적응능력을 향상시 킨다. 그리고 현장실습과 연계하여 취업하도록 장려하고 있 다. 또한 취·창업, 학술동아리 활동, 캡스톤 디자인 등을 운 영·지원하여 학생들이 스스로 문제를 해결하는 능력을 키우 고, 취업관련 자격증 취득으로 취업률 향상에 기여하고 있 다. 또한, 실무에 바로 적용 가능한 학습을 통하여 학교와 기업체간 상호협력에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.
