        Fog in Taechon which is located in the west coast of Korea is advection fog made by marine atmosphere which is higher than the temperature of sea water and cooled while moving toward land with wind. Huwevcr. the annual mean number of tog days is 15.1, obviously Icss than those of Susan, Kunsan and similar coastal cities. The number of fog occurrence days in April and May increases twice as many as that of the months from November to March. From August it decreases to half as many as that of the months from April to May and then maintains such an extent. So the phenomenon is different from other areas. 1 he characteristics of fog in Taechon arc due to little difference between sea surface temperature and marine air temperature and geographical characteristics of Taechon area.

        We have studies fatty acid composition of water extracts of parts of omija (Schizandra chinensis Baillon) and antioxidant activities of fractionated omija parts (fruits, endocarps, seeds) were determined by DPPH methods and by in vitro hepatic microsomal lipid peroxidation system. Fatty acid composition was not different by parts of omija and major fatty acids are linoleic, oleic, and palimitic acids, among fatty acids is water extracts of parts of omija, linoleic acid was highest in content. Methanol and buthanol fractions of seeds and ethyl acetate fraction of endocarps showed stronger antioxidant activities by DPPH methods. Methanol and buthanol fractions of seeds also showed on inhibitory effect on in vitro liver microsomal lipid peroxidation.

        1990년 6월부터 전남지방에서 성훼로몬을 이용한 파밤나방의 발생소장, 일일비산활동 및 기주별 가해특성을 조사한 결과 성충은 6월 중순부터 trap에 유인이 시작되어 11월 하순까지 계속되었으며 발생 peak는 비닐하우스에서 8월 중순~하순, 9월 중순~하순, 11월 상순~중순이었으며 야외포장에서도 역시 6월 중순부터 유인이 시작되어 9월 상순~하순, 10월 중순~11월 하순에 유인량이 많았으며 노지에 비해서 비닐하우스에서 peak가 20일 가량 빨랐다. 유충의 biomass에 의한 발생 가능세대수는 남부지방에서 6회로 추정되었다. 일일중 비산활동은 주로 24시 이후부터 일출전까지 활발하였으며 peak는 4시~6시 사이였다. 기주에 따른 가해특성은 외대파에 있어서는 초장 10cm이하에서 유충 밀도 및 피해주율이 가가장 높았으며, 국화는 생육에 따라 피해주율이 점차 증가하다가 생육후기에는 오히려 떨어지는 경향이었고 가해부위는 시기에 관계없이 주로 엽상이 70%이상이었고 다음은 엽하 12.3%, 정단 9.3%순이었다. 또한 안개초에 있어서 피해주는 거의 생육을 하지 못하여 개화에 이르지 못하였다.

        This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the emulsion stability according to the quantity of emusifiers and the pressure of homogenizer in coffee whitener preparation. The results of this study are as follow : 1. To obtain a standard emulsifier, the ratio of mono and diglycerides (Atoms 150), sorbitan monostearate (Span 60) and polyoxylene(20) sorbitan monostearate (Tween 60) was 60 : 20 : 20 and the optimum quantity was about 0.9% for stable emulsion. 2. Characteristics as coffee whitner were markedly improved when the pressure of homogenizer was 200∼250㎏/㎠ and homogenizing times are over 4. 3. The good whitening capacity was showed when fat glouble`s average diameter was under 0.5㎛.

        This study was divised to observe an inhibitory toward a lipolytic action of toxohormone-L from large root and small root Nepal pseudo ginseng (NPG : Nepal products) components by water extract and ethanol precipitate in vitro. Toxohormone-L is known to be a lipolytic factor that was partially purified from the ascites fluid of sarcoma 180-bearing mice and of patients with hepatoma. The inhibitory effect that inhibited the lipolytic action of toxohormone-L by ethanol precipitate component of large root NPG(mean 46.8%) was higher (mean 1.8 times) than that of water extract component in final reaction concentration ; 500㎍/㎖, on the other side inhibitory effect of water extract component in small root NPG (mean 43.9%) was higher(mean 1.2 times) than that of ethanol precipitate component, respectively. In a way inhibitory effect of ethanol precipitate component in large root NPG(47.6%), when final reaction concentration of sample were l, 000㎍/㎖, was about 40% lower than that of Korean red ginseng, respectively.

        The purposes of this studies were to investigate the effect of dietry Se levels and alcohol administration on the lipid hyperoxidation and the lipid metabolism in the rat. Seventy two male rats of Sprague-Dawley Strain weighting about 58∼62g were divided into 12groups. The dietary Se levels were 10, 0.4 and 0㎎, and the dietary α-tocopherol levels were 150 and 0㎎ per ㎏ diet, respectively. Alcohol-administrated groups received drinking water solution containing 10% of ethanol from the 3-weeks of experimental periods. The obtained experimetal results are summarized as follows. 1. Food intake, body weight gain and food efficiency ratio were significantly lower in H-, L- and alcohol administrated groups(-A) by administrated Se and alcohol in diet. The weight of liver and spleen tended to be greater in H- and alcohol administrated groups. 2. The glutathione values in liver tend to be lower in alcohol or Vit. E administrated groups than nonadministrated groups. Also there were higher in H- and L- than C-groups, but the increasing range decreased due to administrated alcohol. The lipid peroxide values in liver were significantly higher in alcohol groups, and L- and tocopherol groups were higher values. Specially the increasing of lipid peroxide values were significantly effected by alcohol in low Se and Vit. E groups. 3. The contents of total glyceride in plasma were higher in alcohol groups, there were significantly higher values in alcohol administrated groups under low Se and Vit. E groups. The contents of total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol in plasma were significantly higher in alcohol groups. 4. The contents of total lipid in liver were higher alcohol groups, and slightly higher values in low Se groups(L-groups) than other groups, also higher values in low Vit. E groups. Those of total glyceride in liver were significantly higher in alcohol groups, appeared highest values when alcohol was administrated in low Se and Vit. E groups. The increasing of total glyceride content was significantly effected by alcohol in low Se groups than that in C-groups.

        Biosurfactant have a low toxicity, good biodegradable, various structure. It can be used for a broad range of purposes in a large variety of different applications. Sorbitol mono alkyl ester synthesized by the Porcine Pancreatic lipase catalyzes transesterification reaction between a sugar alcohol and plant oils. We are examined the surface tension, emusion stability and critical micelle concentration were evaluated. Consequently It has a good properties of biosurfactant.

        The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica were studied for their lipid contents and fatty acid composition. The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica contained 70.2% and 73.4% lipids, respectively. Fifteen fatty acids were identified in the lipids from the Camellia japonica seeds. In addition to confirming the 5 previously reported (16 : 0, 18 : 0, 18 : 1, 18 : 2 and 18 : 3), 10 more acids were characterized. The newly identified acids were 14 : 0, 16 : 1, 17 : 0, 20 : 0, 20 : 1, 20 : 2, 22 : 0, 22 : 1, 24 : 0 and 24 : 1. Both seeds lipids contained 18 : 1 in high levels (81. 6~82. 2%). Little difference in fatty acid composition was noted between the wild and cultivated Camellia japonica seed lipids. The fatty acid composition of commercial Camellia japonica oil was similar to those of the Camellia japonica seed lipids.

        A two-dimensional land and sea breeze model has been used for the investigation of the circulation over Cheju Island. The model which has different diffusion coefficients for the heat and for the momentum transfer is subdivided into two layers: the surface layer and Ekman layer. A Z^* coordinate system and non-uniform mesh have been applied for the model simulation. From the model simulation, we were able to conclude that low-level wind was much stronger over Cheju city than over Seoguipo city during sea breeze, and vice versa during land breeze. The sea breeze circulation was distinctive over Seoguipo area, and weak land breeze circulation was seen over Cheju area. Meanwhile sea breeze and land breeze circulations over Cheju and Seoguipo area, respectively, were not found in the model simulation.

        경상도지방의 전통적인 등겨장제법을 조사하고 10종의 시료를 채취하여 성분분석 및 관능시험으로 품질을 평가하였다. 등겨장의 맛을 좋게 하기 위하여 부원료는 적당량의 콩 등을 첨가하여 주로 자연 숙성방법으로 등겨장을 제조하고 있다. 전통 등겨장의 성분 중 아미노태질소 함량은 낮았으며 수용성 및 염용해성 단백질의 아미노산 조성은 다같이 glutamic acid, aspartic acid 및 proline의 함량이 많았다. 등겨장의 당의 함량은 대체로 높았으며 유리당 중 glucose의 함량이 2.16~4.02 mg/ml로써 가창 많았고 maltose, matotriose 순이었다. 산성 protease의 활성은 0.13~1.36 unit/ml였으며 전분액화력은 10.18~15.19 D40o30으로서 등겨장의 감미를 크게 증가시켰다. 관능시험의 결과 선정된 3종류의 우량 등겨장은 매운맛과 단맛, 산미가 잘 조화된 전통식품으로 향기는 약간의 메주향에다 매운맛이 잘 조화된 향취를 나타내었다.

        최근 10년간(1977년~1986년) 제주시와 서귀포시의 지상기상자료를 분석하여 제주도지방의 해륙풍의 기후학적 특성을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 해륙풍의 발생빈도는 월별로는 8월(약 15.5%)이 가장 높고 그 다음이 9월, 10월, 5월, 11월의 순이다. 춘계보다는 추계가 더 발생빈도가 높으며 동계 매월 평균(약 5%)가 가장 낮다. 2. 해풍은 제주도의 북부해안이 남부해안보다 연평균 약 30분 정도 더 일찍 발생하고 약 1시간정도 늦게 소멸한다. 반대로 육풍은 남부해안이 북부보다 연평균 1시간 정도 일찍 발생하나 연평균 소멸시각은 남북해안이 비슷하다. 제주도지방의 해풍의 발생시각은 연평균 9~10시로 남해안 지방(13~14시)보다 약 4시간 이르며, 소멸시각은 연평균 17~19시로 역시 남해안지방(19~21시)보다 약 2시간 정도 이르다. 3. 해풍의 연평균 지속시간은 북부해안이 남부해안보다 약 1시간 정도 길고, 육풍의 그것은 반대로 약 1시간 정도 짧게 나타난다. 계절별로는 해풍의 경우 하계가 동계보다 길고 육풍의 경우는 또 그 반대이다. 해풍에서 육풍으로의 전이시간은 하계가 길고 동계가 짧은 경향을 보이며, 육풍에서 해풍으로의 전이시간은 계절적인 특징이 나타나지 않는다. 4. 해풍의 최대풍속의 출현시각은 연 평균적으로 북부해안(14.0시)보다 남부(13.4)가 다소 일찍 나타나나, 육풍은 비슷한 양상(약 2.5시)을 보여주며, 해풍이나 육풍 모두 월평균 출현시각의 계절적 특징은 뚜렷하지 않다. 그리고 해풍과 육풍의 월평균 최대풍속은 각각 남북해안 모두 비슷하고 연평균으로는 해풍(약 4.1m/s)이 육풍(약 3.3m/s)보다 다소 강하다.

        국내에서 생산되는 재배버섯으로 일반느타리(Pleurotus ostreatus)와 고온성느타리(Pleurotus sajor-caju) 및 야생식용버섯으로 싸리버섯(Ramaria botrytis)과 젖버섯(Lactarius volemus)의 지질성분조성을 비교 검토한 결과 각 버섯의 지방함량은 0.32~0.39%이었으며, 그 조성은 인지질(19.4~47.4%), 중성지질(32.1~51.9%), 당지질(14.8~28.7%) 순으로 많았으나 고온성 느타리는 다른 버섯에 비하여 중성지질(51.9%)의 함량이 높았다. 중성지질에서는 triglyceride(21.2~38.2%), free sterol(21.0~21.9%), sterol ester(10.3~18.6%) 순으로 많았으나 고온성 느타리는 free fatty acid(34.1%)의 함량이 다른 버섯에 비하여 특이하게 높았다. 당지질은 steryl glycoside(15.6~29.4%), esterified steryl glycoside(13.4~23.9%), monogalactosyl diglyceride(15.6~24.6%) 순으로 많았으며, 인지질의 조성은 phosphatidyl choline(36.7~49.5%), phosphatidyl ethanolamine(20.9~29.7%), phosphatidyl inositol(18.4~26.1%) 순으로 많았다. 각 구성지질의 지방산조성은 4종의 버섯 공히 linoleic acid와 palmitic acid가 주요 지방산이었으나 싸리버섯은 중성지질에서 oleic acid의 함량이 높았다.

        This investigation on the composition of fatty acids of hempseed through gas -chromatography analysis found the follwing results. Myristic acid and other ten materials were detected. And there was mainly composed of myristic acid 29.4%, palmitoleic acid 16.2%, linoleic acid 14.9%, oleic acid 12.4%. It also showed that heptadecanoic acid 10.8%, erucic acid 0.5%, docosahexaenoic acid 0.3% and essential fatty acid were contained 17.9% between them. As stearic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, linoleic acid and arachidonic acid made lower cholesterol level in body, they will help prevention of senile disease with the oil of hemp seed.

        This study was attempted to observe the effect of Job's tear diet on change of body weight and tissue in rat. The changes of body weight were higher in Job's tear non-diet group(A) and seemed to lower in Job's tear diet group(c) as expected. The weight of each organ appeared to heavy more C group than A,Bgroup in Brain, Spleen. Lungs and Kidney. Liver was heavier in Job's tear to diet one day among six day group(B) and ovary was lighter in C group, The levels of each organ TBA-value were higher in Brain, Liver of A group and showed to higher Spleen, Lungs, Ovary of C group TBA-value of Kidney was revealed to lower more C group than A,B group.

        The study was observed that anti oxidation effect of each and mutual relation on BULGOGI seasoning in Fore shank and Ribs. Each antioxidation effect were appeared to higher in suger, pear juice, soya souce, clean wine, sesamed oil, green onion, toeasted sesamed powder, black pepper, garlic im seasoned immidiately. Soya souce was revealed to higher effect anti oxidation in storaged beef among 30 minuit after seasoned. In storaged sample among 9 hour after seasoned was showed to higher effect in soya souce & galic. Mutual relation of two seasoning in BULGOGI seasoning were revealed to higher effect in mixture of green onion & galic.

        Gas-liquid chromatography analyses have been carried out to investigate the fatty acid composition of 3 commercial Korean shortenings. Fourteen fatty acids ranged from caprylic to behenic acids were identified in all the samples. The major components in the samples were palmitic, stearic and oleic acids as the sum of 16:0, 18:0 and 18:1 ranged from 76-92% of total fatty acids. The ranges for saturated fatty acids, mono unsaturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids in the samples were 49-50%, 41-42% and 4-6%, respectively.

        Lipid levels in the tissues of liver and intestines of O.bartrami amounted to 40.0% and 1.5%. The new compounds was found to be ethyl acylates, from a deduction of their detailed 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and 13C-NMR as well as infra red spectra (IR). The fatty acid composition of total lipids were mainly composed of C16:0(19.0%), C18:1(16.2%) and C22:6Ω3(15.7%), followed by C20:1(9.4%), C22:1(6.4%) and C18:0(5.4%). New compound A and B were seemed to derived from the cleavage of glycerol moieties of triglycerides by microbial activities during storage in a frozen state. Compound A contained C16:0(38.2%), C18:1(13:4%), C20:1(13.3%) and C22:1(11.7%) as major components, while compound B predominantly comprised polyunsaturated fatty acid such as C20:5Ω3 (41.2%) and C22:6Ω3(36.1%). In both compounds small amounts of odd numbered fatty acids were also detected (3.8~2.2%).
