Google Trends is a useful tool not only for setting search periods, but also for providing search volume to specific countries, regions, and cities. Extant research showed that the big data from Google Trends could be used for an on-line market analysis of opinion sensitive products instead of an on-site survey. This study investigated the market share of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitor, which is in a great demand pharmaceutical product, based on big data analysis provided by Google Trends. In this case study, the consumer interest data from Google Trends were compared to the actual product sales of Top 3 TNF-α inhibitors (Enbrel, Remicade, and Humira). A correlation analysis and relative gap were analyzed by statistical analysis between sales-based market share and interest-based market share. Besides, in the country-specific analysis, three major countries (USA, Germany, and France) were selected for market share analysis for Top 3 TNF-α inhibitors. As a result, significant correlation and similarity were identified by data analysis. In the case of Remicade’s biosimilars, the consumer interest in two biosimilar products (Inflectra and Renflexis) increased after the FDA approval. The analytical data showed that Google Trends is a powerful tool for market share estimation for biosimilars. This study is the first investigation in market share analysis for pharmaceutical products using Google Trends big data, and it shows that global and regional market share analysis and estimation are applicable for the interest-sensitive products.

수사학은 훌륭한 말에 관한 재주이거나 학문이다. 어느 경우에나 수사학을 활용하는 목적은 말과 행동 등으로 남을 이해시키고 설득시키기 위한 것인데 연설뿐만 아니라 연극과 같은 각종 매체에서도 자주 쓰인다. 본고가 수사학적 각도로 탐구하려는 중국가수 薛之谦(설지겸)의 노래 <演员>(연기자)은 출시된 지 몇 년이 흘렀지만 아직도 많은 중국인들과 외국인들의 뇌리 속에 남아있는데 과연 어떤 요인들로 인하여 청자들과 깊은 공감대를 형성했는지에 대해 착상, 배열, 표현, 발표 등 서양 수사학 방법론을 적용하여 분석한다. 국내에서 중국 가수의 노래에 대해 수사학적으로 분석한 논문은 현재 전무한데 새로운 분석틀을 적용하여 현대중국 대중문화의 트렌드에 대한 체계적인 탐구를 시도하였다.

Our research is aimed at predicting recent trend and leading technology for the future and providing optimal Nano technology trend information by analyzing Nano technology trend. Under recent global market situation, Users’ needs and the technology to meet these needs are changing in real time. At this point, Nano technology also needs measures to reduce cost and enhance efficiency in order not to fall behind the times. Therefore, research like trend analysis which uses search data to satisfy both aspects is required. This research consists of four steps. We collect data and select keywords in step 1, detect trends based on frequency and create visualization in step 2, and perform analysis using data mining in step 3. This research can be used to look for changes of trend from three perspectives. This research conducted analysis on changes of trend in terms of major classification, Nano technology of 30’s, and key words which consist of relevant Nano technology. Second, it is possible to provide real-time information. Trend analysis using search data can provide information depending on the continuously changing market situation due to the real-time information which search data includes. Third, through comparative analysis it is possible to establish a useful corporate policy and strategy by apprehending the trend of the United States which has relatively advanced Nano technology. Therefore, trend analysis using search data like this research can suggest proper direction of policy which respond to market change in a real time, can be used as reference material, and can help reduce cost.

The current study aims to analyze the process of fabric production planning in Dongdaemun Market, which is a successful model case industrial integration in South Korea. We followed the changes in perception among fabric experts, regarding their recognition of fashion trends, and the following planning and process of fabric production. We used the purpose sampling method to select participants for interview in the Dongdaemun Market, then we carried out one-to-one interviews. Our analysis reveals 4 points of importance. First, the fabric planning stage either employed the trend book swatch, or simply reused the model fabrics already available. Even though the experts felt the need to accept the latest fashion trends, very few considered the trends as positive influences in fabric planning. Whereas trend was a key element in identifying the flow of the fashion industry, there were obstacles in carrying out the study. Second, experts frequently participated in domestic fabric seminars, but not in textile exhibitions. Third, domestic and overseas market research has been performed typically at department stores, and typically at Japan. Fourth, the influx of Chinese fabrics has both positive and negative influences, such as low price, and low reliability. In conclusion, experts were less amenable to accepting the latest fashion trends. pre-requisites in real life to meet the use of the current trend of each company. More studies on the Dongdaemun Market from perspectives of practitioners are warranted.

This study will propose newly emerging food businesses followed by demographical changes of customers or development of internet based environment and considered food safety related laws or legal application on it. This emerging food business could not be defined as classical criteria based on the food safety laws, so that they have to be controlled by differentiated legal criteria. Total fourteen related laws which have to be applied on newly emerging food business retailing general food or packed animal products have been considered and administrative disposition criteria was also suggested in this study. This study systematically propose the legal criteria for changing or emerging food business and highlight the importance of sustainable or differentiated food safety management of possible future food business.

This study intended to identify the relationship between textile print designs for local apparel, and fashion trends. This was achieved by extracting trend key words and analyzing apparel textiles. The fashion trends and print trends from the 2010S/S season to the 2013F/W season as projected by two trend forecasters, the Samsung Fashion Institute and First View Korea, were extracted for a comparative analysis. In terms of clothing patterns, a total of 1,582 print designs purchased by local apparel brands targeting women in their 20s and 30s from print design companies including Italy's NEWAGE, MyDesign and England's Pattern, were analyzed. After classifying the designs according to the trend key words which had been extracted, the demands by season, trend dependency, and design preferences were analyzed to produce the following results. The major key words for textile print designs from the 2010S/S season to the 2013F/W season were Check & Stripe, Flower, Geometric, Natural, Ethnic, and Graphical. Patterns corresponding to those design key words were more prominent in recent designs. Considering the trends by season, the designs presented in the F/W season were found to be more likely to correspond to the trend key words than those in the S/S season. A general preference for nature-inspired designs was also found in the local print market.

과학기술이 국가 경쟁력으로 부각되면서 주요 국가들에서는 과학기술을 통한 산업발전 및 경쟁력 강화를 위해 신성장동력산업을 지정하여 효과적인 투자 및 발전전략을 수립하고 있다. 주요 신성장동력으로는 바이오, 신재생에너지 등 신산업 분야가 각광받고 있으며, 점차 치열한 경쟁구도 양상을 보이고 있다. 각 국가별로 대학 및 연구기관에서는 정기적으로 향후 파급효과를 나타낼 미래유망기술 분야를 선정하여 발표하고 있으며, 국내에서도 다양한 연구기관들이 지속적으로 유망기술 분야를 선정하여 발표하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 특허정보를 활용하여 신성장동력으로 각광받고 있는 바이오분야의 미래유망기술 분야 도출방법을 연구하고자 한다. 특허를 통한 기술개발 동향분석을 위해 IPC 코드에 기반한 기술분류를 이용하여 바이오분야의 국내외 특허를 수집하고 텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용하여 바이오기술개발 트렌드를 파악하고 유망기술분야를 도출하고자 한다. 텍스트 마이닝 분석을 통해 미국과 우리나라의 특허등고선을 비교분석하여 바이오분야의 전반적 기술개발 분야를 도출한 후, 국내외적으로 관심이 고조되고 있는 기술분야에 대한 심층분석을 통한 세부적인 기술동향 파악으로 바이오 유망기술분야에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.
