이 연구의 목적은 첫째, 항만국 통제의 의의 및 시행배경과 이론을 고찰하고, 둘째, 항만국 통제와 관련된 국제협약관계를 고찰하며, 셋째, 항만국 통제에 대한 국제비교와 우리나라 해운기업의 사례를 분석하며, 마지막으로 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 항만국 통제에 대한 우리나라 해운기업의 대응방안을 제시하는데 있다.
Total Quality Management(TQM) is the source of competitive advantage for the enterprise faced with the dynamic change of the environment as the customer satisfaction era, unlike the past marketing era. It can have an effect on the strategical choice of the enterprise and becomes a new spotlight of management strategy in business administration recently with various techniques of organizational innovation, such as business re-engineering, benchmarking and so on. The TQM which has an essential part of a Risk Response Process is recognized as strategic aspects in Risk Management. TQM means the total management system that realizes management philosophy of customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and innovational thoughts on the basis of top-management's leadership and employees' involvement, policy of quality management, customer focus, development of human resources, empowered work forces, and supplier relationships. The data investigating the business performance effect of active factors in TQM based on the shipping firms were collected from 250 shipping firms in Korea by the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews at the selected samples.
최근 급격한 P&I 보험료의 인상은 해운원가에서 차지하는 비중이 점차 커지면서, 과거와 달리 선주들의 P&I 보험의 선택과 경쟁적인 보험료 확보를 위한 노력도 지속되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 P&I 보험에 대한 여러 측면에서의 서비스 품질과 그 결정요인을 실증적으로 분석하고 P&I 보험의 서비스 품질의 결정 요인들이 고객만족에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과는 P&I Club의 선택기준 마련과 유지에 활용 가능할 것이며, P&I Club 측면에서는 P&I 보험서비스의 어떤 품질과 그 결정 요인들을 개선하여 기존 회원사의 유지와 신규회원사 확보 등 시장 점유율 확대에 활용할 수 있을 것인가에 관한 장기경영전략을 수립하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
본 연구의 목적은 국제물류서비스 제공자인 복합운송주선업체와 그 수요자인 화주간의 관계에서 복합운송주선업체의 서비스지향성과 종업원만족, 경영성과간의 구조적인 관계를 검정하고자 하는 것이다. 연구목적을 효과적으로 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구와 함께 복합운송주선업체를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통한 실증분석을 병행하였다. 연구결과 복합운송주선업체의 서비스지향성은 종업원만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 종업원만족은 기업의 재무적 성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.
본 연구는 해운서비스 거래기업간의 관계를 대상으로 관계마케팅 기법을 적용함으로써 보다 동태적인 시장메카니즘을 분석하고자 수행되었다. 해운기업은 영업업무가 큰 비중을 차지하는 기업으로서 해운기업과 하주의 관계구조를 분석함에 있어서 고객의 접점에 있는 영업사원의 관계특성을 기업차원의 관계특성과 함께 고려해야할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 해운서비스 공급기업에 초점을 맞추어 하주들과 장기협력관계를 구축하는 데 영향을 미치는 관계의 질을 중심으로 그 선행요인인 관계특성과 성과요인인 장기협력관계를 실증분석함으로써 해운기업이 하주와 장기협력관계를 구축하는 데 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다.
The purpose of this research is to introduce the concept of "relationship formation factors" in inter-firm relations and to empirically demonstrate that they are effective in improving the relationship results by means of an mediating variable. Therefore, the basic model of this study consists of the independent, mediating, and dependent variables. First, the independent variables, that is, the relationship formation factors, are further classified into three components. transactional, relational, and environmental characteristics. Then, the study empirically examines how each of the three components influences the dependent variable. that is, the business performance(Load Factor), by way of the mediating variables, that is, trust and relationship commitment.
본 연구는 부산항 컨테이너 터미널이 품질경영을 통한 경쟁력을 향상시키기 위하여 어떠한 서비스 품질경영활동들에 노력을 집중해야 하는지에 대한 실증적인 연구이다. 품질경영활동의 공통된 요소들과 이 요인들 간의 인과관계를 분석하여 결과를 해석하고 항만서비스 품질 경영 관리에 미치는 관리적 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 자료수집은 부산항 컨테이너 터미널의 종사자 170명을 대강으로 설문지와 개인면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 측정변수의 신뢰성과 타당성을 분석하기 위해 Cronbach's α계수와 요인분석을 이용하였다. 그리고 품질경영시스템의 구성개념인 풀질경영의 원천과 활동, 그리고 성과간의 인과관계를 분석하기 위해서는 Amos4.0을 이용한 SEM을 실시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the nature of the relationship between several factors representing perceived port service quality and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of container terminal. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of port service quality using PZB's SERVQUAL model but also its implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the determinants of port service quality were collected from 136 managers from shipping companies by the use of questionnaire method. Factor analysis and t-test were carried out to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows ; First, Shipping companies perceive the port service quality on two the dimensions of personnel and material aspects. Second, Shipping companies put more emphasis on the reliance of port service quality even though the port authority offers good facilities and materials as parts of port shipping quality. Third, There is a significant relationship between the purchase intention and the customer satisfaction. These findings help not only to formulate service marketing strategy based on service quality but also to be a concept tool to enhance port service quality.
The purpose of this study is to shed some light on how market orientation, mediators such as employee satisfaction, service quality and commitment, and business performance are related and to offer important managerial implication for managements or marketing practioners in the International logistics service industry.
Shipping industry continues to face dramatic changes in its environment ranging from development in containerization, computerization and telecommunications to the emergence of global marketplace. Perhaps the most significant trend - representing both a threat and opportunity - is the increasingly competitive nature of shipping service market. In order for the shipping companies to cope with those improvements and challenges, they should analyze and clarify customer's DM(decision making) process for the purchase of container shipping service. The major research findings from the study were found as follows; 1) The degree of shipper's involvement in purchasing shipping services was found to be a discriminating variable affecting the information sources consisting of personal and non-personal information sources. 2) The positive relationship was found between the experiences on shipping services and non-personal information sources. 3) It was observed that as people had more experience searching for information, the more in depth their searches became. 4) There existed a positive relationship between knowledges on shipping services and information search. 5) According to the SEM analysis, the shipper's information search on shipping services was also found to have a great influence on the shipper's purchasing behavior. The shipper's search was resulted in positive customer satisfaction.
The importance of service quality in any service industry cannot be disputed. Shippers have increased expectations concerning the quality of shipping service they receive and carriers are struggling to meet these expectations. This struggle between shipper and carriers would suggest that there is room to improve much more understandings of how shipper define shipping service quality in the carriers' perspectives. This is an empirical investigation and study on the measurement of customer response and service quality as perceived by customer in the international transportation logistics system. The purpose of this study is to clarify factors of shipping service quality on the basis of service marketing concept. In order to fulfill the objectives, this paper combined research tools that include both empirical study and documentary research. Data was gathered from 132 freight forwarder by the use of questionnaire. In this study, the established hypotheses were generated on the basis of the service quality evaluation model(SERVQUAL, SERVPERF, and EP) and Gap model.

Exploratory Factor analysis was carried out to analyze the data.
Today diving activity and technology are indispensable for underwater technology and offshore engineering. And then diving business is still more important to business of subsea. This study surveyed the issue of diving activity in Korea as for compared foreign diving activity. This paper analyzed the status of diving business that include commercial and sport-leisure diving business and development of commercial divers in Korea. This paper reputed the object, the necessity and the character of commercial divers. For the purpose of this study is considered in order to analyze the environment of commercial divers and propose the planning for industrial diving business. Under the present circumstance in Korea this development planning study may be restricted. but the effective planning to activate Korean commercial diving business is abstracted as follows; First, establishment of new course, grade, certificate and licence test for diver is a pre-requisite factor for the successful enactment. Second, the political assistance of concerned government authority is needed. Third, establishment of Korean diving school and medical center for divers are strongly required. Forth, setting up the department of diving activity in university.
In the process of containerization, the problem of regional maldistribution of container management plan arises seriously due to several factors like a number of unbalances of containers between loading and discharging ports. This study focus on the minimizing cost. This study is composed of two models which in effective management decision making show decision of the number of containers and transfer of empty containers. One is decision of the number of containers which carriers should possess by appropriate forecasting and the other is effective management decision making which includes the transfer of empty containers on calling ports. This study has suggested as follows, First, the Time Series analysis method, especially the "Exponential Smooting with Trend Adjustment" was used to forecast the trade volumes for the designated traffic route. Second, the Time Series analysis method in deciding the optimal number of owned container at the unbalances trade situation between East Bound and West Bound service, most important variables were found such as total traffic volume, the calling interval at a port, the number of days of voyage and the length of stay on shore of container for the optimal number of owned container. Third, effective management decision making model, which makes it possible to analyze the impacts of change in important matters such as lease and positioning policy, and actually influence decision making.on making.
The purpose of this study was to find out the most approriate international marketing strategy of Korean shipping firms for Uruguy Round expected to be agreed among GATT members in 1993. In literature sur-vey, the service marketing philosophy was reviewed to clarify the functions and roles of marketing concept in setting up the international marketing strategies for shipping firms. The marketing concepts are characterized as follows ; 1) production-oriented stage, 2) sales-oriented stage, 3) marketing-oriented stage in the order of historical development. An comparative analysis was car-ried out to examine the differences in marketing strategies among Korean shipping firms and U.K. ship-ping firms.
The purpose of this study was to explore the nature and progressional change in consciousness of KMU students about the shipboard-life which appeared though regimental dormitory life. An empirical study was carried out to exam in the perceptual differences not only on sea faring as a job but also on preliminary shipboard-life among each grades. The data analyzing perceptual differences on seafaring and preliminary shipboard -life of KMU students were collected from 450 students selected from 3 different kinds of populations -(1) senior students, (2) sophomore students, (3) freshmen-by the use of questionnaire method. The pearson's test for goodness offit and factor analysis were used to analyze the data.

The increase in seaborne cargoes has made our coastal traffic congested, and future coastal traffic is also expected to increase considerably as result of our economic development and high dependence on foreign trade. This increased traffic may be a cause of serious sea pollution as well as greater number of sea accidents. In view of this problem the introduction of VTMS along on our coast is required, following careful study of a large number of foreign systems. This paper analyzes the actual condition of 132 VTMSs in the world from the view point of management method authority of VTMS, coverage and characteristics of system. And this results provide helpful information for the development of VTMS in the future and for the implementation of VTMS in our coastal waterway.
The purpose of this study was to explore the nature of the relationship between several factors representing the mental health enumerated in the psychology literature and the dadaptability to group life which all of th KMU students encounter. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the differences in mental health of 4 kinds of students groups but also the impact of interaction which mental health affects to the adaptability to group life among grades. The several factors of the mental health can be utilized in suggesting the theoretical bases for the countermeasures of the effective group life along with the motivation of KMU students. The data investigating the impact of interaction between mental health and the adaptability to group life were collected from 537 KMU students selected from 4 different kinds of population-(1) Freshman group (2) Sophomore group (3) Junior group (4) Senior group-by the use of questionnaire method and interview. The 2-way analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used to analyze the data. The results of this study were found as follows; (1) There are significant difference in the cognition of gloom, personal sensitiveness, anagonism, anxiety and total score among 4 grade groups, (2) The freshmen group and the sophomore group have perceived gloom, personal sensitiveness, antagonism, and total score more acutely than the junior group and senior group have. (3) There are significant differences in perceiving an obession and personal sensitiveness according to the adaptation types to the group life; adaopted type, non-adapted type. The non-adapted group has recognized an obsession and personal sensitiveness more seriously than the adapted group has. (4) The interaction between grades and the adaptation status doesn't have an direct influence on the mental health.
