        PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of reducing nitrogen oxide concentration in a photocatalyst (titanium dioxide) using statistical methods such as the Anderson-Darling test. METHODS : To compare and analyze the effect of reducing the nitrogen oxide concentrations in titanium dioxide, titanium dioxide was applied to the public road, and data acquisition in terms of nitrogen oxide concentration was conducted from roads with/without applying titanium dioxide (test section and reference section, respectively). Then, the probabilities of occurrence of nitrogen oxide concentrations in the test and reference sections were estimated and compared using the Anderson-Darling test. RESULTS : According to the comparison and analysis of probabilities in the nitrogen oxide concentration of the test and reference sections, the probabilities of nitrogen oxide concentration on December 4th were estimated as ‘High’ (17.5%, 37.9%), ‘Moderate’ (30.5%, 40.8%), and ‘Low’ (52.0%, 21.3%), respectively, and on December 5th, as ‘High’ (20.6%, 39.1%), ‘Moderate’ (26.2%, 33.0%), and ‘Low’ (53.2%, 27.9%), respectively. In addition, the probabilities of nitrogen oxide concentration in the test and reference sections were analyzed on December 6th as ‘High’ (16.5%, 36.8%), ‘Moderate’ (27.9%, 38.5%), and ‘Low’ (55.6%, 24.8%), respectively. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the results of this study, in the test section with application of titanium dioxide, the nitrogen oxide concentration was found to have a low probability, and in the reference section, the nitrogen oxide concentration was found to be higher than that in the test section. Therefore, it can be concluded that titanium dioxide applied to road facilities has a nitrogen oxide reduction effect.

        High voltage impulse (HVI) has been gained attention as an alternative technique that could control the CaCO3 scale problems encountered in water main, pipe, cooling tower and heat exchanger vessels. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of electric field (E) and contact time (t) of HVI on reduction of Ca2+ concentration at two different temperatures of 25℃ and 60℃. A kinetic model on the effect of E and t was investigated too. As the E and t increased, the Ca2+ concentration decreased more than that of the control (= no HVI). The Ca2+ concentration decreased up to 81% at 15 kV/cm at 60℃, which was nearly 2 times greater than the control. With these experimental data-set of reduction of Ca2+ concentration under different E and t, the kinetic model was developed. The relationship between E and t required to reduce the concentration of Ca2+ by 30% was modeled at each temperature. The empirical model equations were; E0.83· t = 60.3 at 25℃ and E0.08· t = 1.1 at 60℃. These equations state the products of En and t is always constant, which means that the required contact time can be reduced in accordance with the increment of E and vice versa.

        This study was conducted to find an efficient and economical mixing ratio of deodorant and a isolated microorganism to reduce ammonia in livestock manure compost. In this study, a simple experimental device that can compare the degree of odor reduction by connecting the vial containing the odor generating source and the gas detection tube and leaving it to stand was used. This test method cannot accurately measure ammonia concentration according to the characteristics of the detector tube, but it is an easy method to compare various experimental conditions. The microorganism isolated from pig manure, “Enterococcus casseliflavus” was found to have an effect on ammonia reduction. Surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate), mineral A, mineral B, sulfur, persimmon leaves, and glycerin used as a deodorant were mixed with E. casseliflavus NO-2-L to find the optimum mixing ratio. When 20% of deodorants and E. casseliflavus NO-2-L were added to the source of odor alone, the ammonia reduction efficiency of NO-2-L was the highest (66.7%) compared with other deodorants. When a mixture of microorganisms and deodorants were used, the ammonia reduction efficiency was the best when the mixing ratio of the deodorant was 20%. When mineral B and sulfur were added, the ammonia concentration reduction efficiency was the highest at 83.3%.

        본 연구에서는 서리의 피해 저감을 위하여 과수 무봉지 재배를 목적으로 사용하고 있는 그물망을 이용하고자, 서리의 양을 관측하는 장치를 대조구와 시험구에 설치하여 그 비교를 통해 서리 저감 효과를 구명하였다. 시험 결과 실제 서리가 관측된 날을 기준으로 시험구에서 37%에서 59%까지 저감 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 서리의 양을 자동으로 관측하는 장치를 개발하고 풍동실험을 통해 서리 측정 장치의 방풍함 높이를 30 cm로 결정하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 그물망 설치 함으로써 과수 개화기에 서리 피해를 저감할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 그물망의 농업적 이용에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        Earthquake preparedness has become more important with recent increase in the number of earthquakes in Korea, but many existing structures are not prepared for earthquakes. There are various types of liquefaction prevention method that can be applied, such as compaction, replacement, dewatering, and inhibition of shear strain. However, most of the liquefaction prevention methods are applied before construction, and it is important to find optimal methods that can be applied to existing structures and that have few effects on the environment, such as noise, vibration, and changes in underground water level. The purpose of this study is to estimate the correlation between the displacement of a structure and variations of pore water pressure on the ground in accordance with the depth of the sheet file when liquidation occurs. To achieve this, a shaking table test was performed for Joo-Mun-Jin standard sand and an earth pressure, accelerometer, pore water pressure transducer, and LVDT were installed in both the non-liquefiable layer and the liquefiable layer to measure the subsidence and excess pore water pressure in accordance with the time of each embedded depth. Then the results were analyzed. A comparison of the pore water pressure in accordance with Hsp/Hsl was shown to prevent lateral water flow at 1, 0.85 and confirmed that the pore water pressure increased. In addition, the relationship between Hsp/Hsl and subsidence was expressed as a trend line to calculate the expected settlement rate formula for the embedded depth ratio.

        본 연구는 고농도 염화칼슘 처리 토양에서 토양개량제인 하이드로볼, 활성탄의 처리와 수크령 식재 유무에 따른 토양침출수 의 화학적 특성과 토양 내 염분 저감 효과에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 수행하였다. 고농도 제설제처리 염분토양에서 토양개량 제 하이드로볼, 활성탄의 염분 저감 효과 및 수크령의 식재 효과를 알아보기 위하여 2018년 4월부터 10월까지 유리온실에 직경 10 cm, 높이 9 cm의 플라스틱 포트에 수크령을 식재하고 무처리 (Cont.), 하이드로볼 (H), 활성탄 (AC), 수크령식재 (P), 하이드로볼 + 수크령식재 (H + P), 활성탄 + 수크령식재 (AC + P) 총 6개의 처리구로 나누었다. 염화칼슘 (CaCl2) 처리는 10 mg/L 농도의 수용액을 조제하여 2주 간격 1회 200mL씩 분주하였다. 토양침출수 분석은 pH와 EC, 염류계 치환성양이온 (K+, Ca2+, Na+, Mg2+) 함량을 측정하였고, 수크령의 생육은 초장, 엽장, 엽폭, 엽수를 측정한 뒤 실험종료 후 생체중, 건물중, 건물률, T/R률을 조사 분석하였다. 토양침출수 화학성 분석결과, 토양산도는 처리구별 뚜렷한 차이를 보이지는 않았으나 모든 처리구에서 약산성을 띄었으며, 전기전도도는 H + P, P, AC + P, H, AC, Cont. 순으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 염류계 치환성양이온함량에 있어서 토양 염류도의 지표라 할 수 있는 Ca2+ 항목에서 Cont., P, H, AC, H + P, AC + P 순으로 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 수크령의 생육변화는 H + P, AC + P, P 순으로 초장, 엽장, 엽폭, 엽수 모든 항목에서 상대생장률이 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 따라서 하이드로볼과 활성탄은 제설제 피해지역 토양개량제로 활용가치가 높으며 수크령은 토양 내 고농도 염화칼슘 염분저감 식물소재로 적합한 수종이라 판단된다.

        The objective of this study is to find the optimal production process in the aluminum IMS core parts. To reduce the production process, the total stage was designed at a total of 2 stages and 3 stages. In the total 2 stages process, the production stage was divided into a shaft part production and a yoke part production. In the total 3 stages process, the yoke production stages were subdivided into the 2 stages for distributing the stress. The results were compared and analyzed in terms of effective stress, folding characteristics and load characteristics. The stress distributions according to the production total stages were almost the same, the yoke production stage was received high stress due to the high strain. Both the tubular shaft yoke and solid shaft yoke according to the production total stages did not have any problems in the production because there did not occur the folding, metal flow and under-fill. When the total 2 stages were employed, the load for producing the tubular shaft yoke and the solid shaft yoke was decreased by 35.0% and 27.1%, respectively. As the results, when the total 2 stages process is applied rather than 3 stages process, the product is produced quickly and it is expected to be advantageous for the production cost due to the low load.

        본 연구는 저관리 경량형 옥상녹화에 이용되고 있는 지피식물인 맥문동(Liriope platyphylla), 울릉국화(Chrysanthemum zaqadskii), 비비추(Hosta longipes), 돌나물(Sedum sarmentosum), 잔디(Zoysia japonica) 의 온열환경을 비교하여 향후 온도저감을 위한 옥상녹화 조성 시 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행하였다. 온열환경 측정은 옥상녹화 및 토양의 표면, 하부 그리고 대조구 표면에 T형 열전대를 설치하여 데이터로거로 연속 측정하였다. 온열환경 측정결과 표면온도는 대조구가 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로 토양, 맥문동, 잔디, 울릉국화, 돌나물, 비비추 순으로 나타났다. 하부온도는 대조구가 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로 잔디, 토양, 맥문동, 돌나물, 울릉국화, 비비추 순으로 나타났다. 실험구의 일일 온도변화 폭은 대조구가 가장 높은 변화를 기록하였으며, 그 다음으로 토양, 잔디, 맥문동, 울릉국화, 돌나물, 비비추의 순으로 나타나 옥상녹화 식물로 온도변동 폭이 작아지는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과 저관리 경량형 옥상녹화를 조성할 시 온도저감 효과가 확인할 수 있었으며, 그 효과는 식재 식물 종에 따라 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 본 연구는 옥상녹화에 이용되고 있는 수많은 식물들 중 극히 일부를 대상으로 하고 있어 향후 다양한 식물들에 관한 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

        The object of this paper is to estimation of noise reduction effect of road noise by operating condition due to tire noise regulation. A prepare the countermeasure of the noise reduction according to collect tire/road noise data under various influencing factors by using the tire test method. To accomplish the object : A automotive is used as a test platform to test tire/road noise by changing different types of tires and using the On-Board Sound Intensity test system. The influence of inflation pressure, road, load, speed and pattern type on tire/road noise is compared and analyzed. At the same time, the mechanism of tire/road noise is analyzed, which provides an experimental basis for tire noise reduction.

        Electro-coagulation process has been gained an attention recently because it could overcome the membrane fouling problems in MBR(Membrane bio-reactor). Effect of the key operational parameters in electro-coagulation, current density(ρ i) and contact time(t) on membrane fouling reduction was investigated in this study. A kinetic model for ρi and t required to reduce the membrane fouling was suggested under different MLSS(mixed liquor suspended solids) concentration. Total 48 batch type experiments of electro-coagulations under different sets of current densities(2.5, 6, 12 and 24 A/m2), contact times(0, 2, 6 and 12 hr) and MLSS concentration(4500, 6500 and 8500mg/L) were carried out. After each electro-coagulation under different conditions, a series of membrane filtration was performed to get information on how much of membrane fouling was reduced. The membrane fouling decreased as the ρi and t increased but as MLSS decreased. Total fouling resistances, Rt (=Rc+Rf) were calculated and compared to those of the controls (Ro), which were obtained from the experiments without electro-coagulation. A kinetic approach for the fouling reduction rate (Rt/Ro) was carried out and three equations under different MLSS concentration were suggested: i) pi0.39t = 3.5 (MLSS=4500 mg/L), ii) pi0.46t = 7.0 (MLSS=6500 mg/L), iii) pi0.74t = 10.5 (MLSS=8500 mg/L). These equations state that the product of ρi and t needed to reduce the fouling in certain amounts (in this study, 10% of fouling reduction) is always constant.

        High voltage impulse(HVI) has been gained attention as an alternate technique controlling CaCO3 scale formation. Investigation of key operational parameters for HVI is important, however, those had not been reported yet. In this study, the effect of temperature and applied voltage of HVI on Ca2+ concentration was studied. As the applied voltage from 0 to 15kV and the temperature increased from 20 to 60°C, the Ca2+ concentration decreased, indicating that the aqueous Ca2+ precipitated to CaCO3. The Ca2+ concentration decreased up to 81% under the condition of 15kV and 60°C. Rate constant for the precipitation reaction, k was determined under different temper1ature and voltage. The reaction rate constant under the 15kV and 60°C condition was evaluated to 66☓10-3 L/(mmol·hr), which was 5 times greater than the k of the reaction without HVI at same temperature. The increases in k by HVI at higher temperature region(40 to 60°C) was much greater than at lower temperature region(20 to 40°C), which implies temperature is more important parameter than voltage for reducing Ca2+ concentration at high temperature region. These results show that the HVI induction accelerates the precipitation to CaCO3, particularly much faster at higher temperature.

        CFRP는 경량화 소재로 각광받고 있으며, 해양산업에서도 고급요트와 특수목적 선박 등에 사용되고 있다. 전기추진체계 또한 친환경 추진 방법으로써, 요트와 소형 여객선 등의 주 추진계로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소형선박의 선체소재와 추진계를 각각 CFRP와 전동기로 교체하였을 때의 경량화 효과를 정량적으로 비교분석하였다. 45ft GFRP 선박을 대상으로 사례연구를 수행하였으며, 선체소재를 설계원안과 동일 함침율 기준의 CFRP로 재설계하였고, 추진계는 설계원안의 동일 마력, 항해거리를 유지할 수 있도록 전동기와 배터리 시스템을 설계하였다. 연구결과 CFRP 소재는 선각을 45 % 정도 경량화 할 수 있었고, 전기추진체계는 기관부를 58% 경량화 할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 다만 전기추진체계의 경우, 디젤 추진체계의 항해거리를 확보하기 위하여 상당한 양의 배터리 팩을 필요로 하기 때문에, 현실적인 수준에서의 경량화 실효성은 없는 것으로 확인되었다.

        This study is intended to look into the effect of construction safety supervision system on risk control and reduction. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 114 companies in construction, ordering, contract and management. The overall findings were as follows. The effect of construction safety supervision system on risk control and reduction showed that factors of supervision system, supervision cost and supervision method had a positive effect on risk control and reduction. And their perception of the introduction of safety supervision system in construction sites according to process showed that there was a difference between them according to the field of ordering, contract and supervision. There was the biggest difference between owner and contractor in double supervision system, but no difference between them in the perception of risk reduction. These results show that all ordering, contract and supervision are positively needed for the introduction of construction safety supervision. This means that there is a difference between owner and contractor in the perception of process according to system operation. All companies agree to system improvement by the settlement of safety supervision system for the prevention of safety accidents and safe construction, but the systematic complement of safety supervision is the burden of contractor. And there is a big difference between owner and contractor in the perception of responsibility and concern for cost burden.

        PURPOSES: Most of the traffic surveys are carried out by an inspection method by the manpower. In some cases, the video equipment is used only in some regions when the traffic volume is surveyed. In this case, there is environmental restriction that the road equipment to fix the video equipment should exist. Also, in areas where information such as digital maps and satellite photographs is old or not provided, they are forced to rely on manpower research, but it is difficult to put huge amounts of time and money into the research in places where labor supply and demand is difficult. This difficulty is particularly pronounced in overseas business. METHODS : The purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of business by using the drones in the traffic investigation through analysis of the cost reduction effect between the existing method and the proposed method in the overseas business traffic survey. The scope of the research is limited to the scope of research, and based on the case of overseas projects, the method of using drone for each research sector is suggested. RESULTS: In the traffic condition survey section, we propose the use of drone for traffic survey and queue length survey, and it is confirmed that there is a cost saving effect of 16% ~ 27% compared with the existing method. In the road condition survey, we propose the use of drones for road surface linear survey, geometry survey, and obstacle survey, and it was confirmed that the cost reduction effect is 39% ~ 93% compared to the existing method. CONCLUSIONS: In addition to overseas business, it is expected that it will have a positive effect on research time and cost reduction by using drone in traffic survey in domestic area where labor supply is not easy or basic data is insufficient.

        PURPOSES: The objective of this study is to evaluate of the effect of thermal segregation reduction in asphalt paving using material transfer vehicles (MTVs). METHODS: Asphalt paving using MTVs was carried out, and the paved surface temperature was measured using an infrared camera. The amount of thermal segregation was estimated from temperature variations. RESULTS : The transportation of hot mix asphalt (HMA) using dump trucks caused temperature segregation that persisted in the paving surface if an MTV was not used. The average temperature variation was 8.58% in paved surfaces where an MTV was not used. However, the temperature variation was 3.10%, 2.86%, and 4.53% for the base layer, inter-layer, and surface layer, respectively, when an MTV was used. CONCLUSIONS: The use of an MTV in asphalt paving reduces thermal segregation approximately 2.3 times in an asphalt mat via a remixing process and also allows for a smoother work process because the paver never needs to stop to receive HMA. However, MTV equipment without pre-heating devices requires careful temperature control during the warm up process at the MTV during construction in the winter.

        As human's average lifespan is gradually increased, the interest in the quality of life and health is also increasing. More and more customers like to use the facial manual technique as a way to live a healthy life, instead of using it as measures to simply improve skin troubles or to have beautiful skin. The facial manual technique performed in the skin care stage is closely related to the decrease of stress. In order to verify the effects of facial manual technique on the decrease of stress, an experiment was conducted in the same method by dividing 16 women residing in Seoul into four groups, from September 1st to September 30th 2016. To understand their general characteristics, perceptual stress, and satisfaction with facial manual technique through questionnaire, the frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were performed by using SPSS 22.0 program. The paired t-test was conducted to see changes in stress, LF, HF, LF/HF, average pulse, pulse standard, and average deviation before/after experiment. The stress index was decreased in every group. Especially, the group of the 20s showed a huge decrease(24.3%), which was significant to every group except for the 50s. In the results of LF, the group of the 20s and of the 30s increased 2.8% and 4.6% respectively, which was significant. In the group of the 40s, it was increased 4.0% while it was decreased 1.2% in the 50s. Rather than women in climacteric age, it was more effective for women in younger age. In results of pulse standard, it was increased 36.5% in the 20s, 63.6% in the 40s respectively, which was significant(p<0.05, p<0.01). In the group of the 30s and 50s, the significant values were not shown although it was still increased 48.3% and 65.1% respectively. In the survey of the facial manual technique, the whole participants showed positive responses to its effects on the decrease of stress. A majority of them took easy to control feelings, and it was highly possible for them to use it perio-dically in the future. It suggested that the effects of facial manual technique could play a role on recovering psychological stability and decrease of stress. It could be considered as a safe and effective healthcare method to improve the quality of human's life.

        In recent years, there have been applied methods for minimizing noise by adjusting the method of installing soundproof walls, soundproof tunnels, soundproofing rims, environmental facilities, etc., and the shape of the surface texture of tire treads and packaging materials for the purpose of reducing road noise. Low noise pavement methods such as rubber asphalt (CRM), open graded asphalt concrete (OGAC), permeable Friction Courses (PFC), open graded friction courses (OGFC) and porous asphalt have been applied to reduce road noise. Especially, porous pavement is the most widely used low noise pavement with porous structure, which can reduce noise and drain water through continuous void of pavement. On the other hand, porous asphalt pavement has problems such as reduction of noise reduction effect and difficulty of road surface management due to void closing and increase of construction cost. The purpose of this study is to develop ultra-thin layer hot mix asphalt pavement method which maximizes road noise reduction effect by surface micro voids (Recover asphalt pavement) to improve void clogging of present porous pavement method. For this study, maximum size 5mm aggregate and cationic-treated fiber reinforced asphalt modifier (CSM) were used. The Marshall design method was applied grain-size distribution curve was based on SMA mix design. Marshall test, TSR, MMLS3 test and Hamburg test were carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties of ultra -thin layered asphalt pavement method with surface micro voids. Also, the effect of road noise reduction was evaluated through field application in urban area.
