        벼 다단선반육묘 시 건모 육성과 벼 육묘 후 다단육묘선반의 활용도를 높일 수 있는 다단육묘선반을 제작하기 위한 기초자료를 얻고, 간이다단육묘선반을 설치하여 육묘하는 농가의 건모 육묘를 위한 자료로 제공하고자 길이 215 cm, 폭95/125 cm에 각각 높이 35, 50, 65 cm의 다단육묘선반을 제작하여 기존 앞마당육묘기/편안육묘기(길이 122, 폭 62, 단높이 20/30 cm)와 대비하여 실시하였던. 시험연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다 1. 다단육묘선반의 길이와 폭은 묘소질에 큰 영향이 없었으나 단간격은 높이가 높을수록 초장이 짧고, 엽수가 많았으며,건물중 및 모충실도가 높았고, 비정상모의 발생이 적었다. 2. 초장은 다단선반의 단높이가 높을수록 짧았고, 제작한 선반은 앞마당육묘기와는 파종후 20일 및 30일 다같이 모든 단높이에서, 편안육묘기와는 파종후 20일에는 단높이 50 cm 및65 cm, 파종후 30일에는 단높이 65 cm에서 유의차가 있었다. 3. 엽수는 파종후 20일 3.08 ~ 3.44매, 30일 3.37 ~ 3.87매로선반 간에 큰 차이는 없었으나, 선반높이가 높을수록 엽수가많은 경향이었고, 제작한 선반은 파종후 20일에는 단높이65 cm, 파종후 30일에는 선반의 길이 125 cm에 단높이 35 cm외는 모두 앞마당육묘기와 편안육묘기와 유의차가 있었다. 4. 건물중은 파종 후 20일 및 30일 100본당 각각 859 ~1,003 mg, 1,247 ~ 1,531 mg으로 선반의 단높이가 높을수록 높았고, 각 시기 다같이 앞마당육묘기와 편안육묘기와 유의차가있었다. 같은 단높이라도 폭 95 cm가 125 cm에 비하여 건물중이 높았고 유의차도 있었다. 5. 모충실도(mg/cm)는 파종 후 20일 0.71 ~ 1.04, 30일0.82 ~ 1.15로 다단선반의 폭과 길이는 별 영향이 없는 것으로나타났으나 선반간격은 단높이가 높을수록 높았고, 제작선반은 앞마당육묘기와 편안육묘기에 비하여 모충실도가 높고 유의차도 있었다. 6. 비정상모 발생은 파종 후 20일 0.2 ~ 3.0%, 30일 0.8 ~6.0%로 단높이가 높을수록 적었다. 제작선반은 앞마당육묘기와 편안육묘기에 비하여 비정상모 발생율이 파종후 20일0.9 ~ 2.8%, 30일 1 ~ 5.2% 적었으며 유의차도 있었다. 특히 선반 폭 95 cm에 단높이 65 cm의 비정상모 발생은 파종 후30일까지 1%미만이었다. 7. 제작 조립식다단육묘선반은 제작비는 1,000상자 기준으로앞마당육묘기에 비해서는 4,460 ~ 6,103천원이, 벼 육묘장의 육묘선반에 비해서는 선반 폭 125 cm, 길이 215 cm, 높이 65 cm는 893천원이 적었으나, 선반 폭 95 cm에 높이 50 cm및 65 cm는 각각 750천원, 390천원이 많았다. 파종상자의 재치상 등 비용 포함시 비용은 1,000상자당 기준 다단육묘선반은 앞마당육묘기 및 육묘공장용 선반에 비해 각각5,460 ~ 7,103천원, 250 ~ 1,893천원의 이익이 있는 것으로 예상된다. 이상의 결과로 볼때 건묘 육묘를 위한 다단선반은 폭95 cm, 선반높이 65 cm가 가장 좋았으나, 묘소질과 선반제작비, 편리성 등을 종합적으로 고려해 볼 때 다단선반은 폭95 cm에 선반높이 65 cm, 또는 폭 125 cm에 선반높이 65 cm가 적절한 것으로 보인다.

        In this paper we have studied the effect of water droplet size on nano-particle size distribution using SMPS(Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer)system. It can be seen that the unknown peak at >100 nm was caused by water droplets which did not dry completely when DI water was used as a solvent in the SMPS system. Therefore, it is important to dry water droplets generated from atomizer in the SMPS system when measuring the particle size distribution using less than 100 nm nano-particles in diameter. From this study, It can be concluded that the napion was a useful material as dryer ones and using EAG(Electro Aerosol Generator) as a particle generator was the most effective in reducing the effect of water droplets.

        This paper reports the microstructures and thermal conductivities of -SiC composite ceramics with size and amount of SiC. We fabricated sintered bodies of -x vol.% SiC (x=10, 20, 30) with submicron and nanosized SiC densified by spark plasma sintering. Microstructure retained the initial powder size of especially SiC, except the agglomeration of nanosized SiC. For sintered bodies, thermal conductivities were examined. The observed thermal conductivity values are 40~60 W/mK, which is slightly lower than the reported values. The relation between microstructural parameter and thermal conductivity was also discussed.

        오리엔탈나리 ‘Siberia’ 품종 조직배양구를 이용하여 생산된 소구 및 중구를 강원지역 고랭지(인제)와 평난 지(강릉)의 무가온하우스에 정식하였을 때 정식한 구근 크기와 재배지역에 따라 구근비대 정도를 조사 분석하 여 향후 나리 종구 생산의 예측가능한 구근생산모델을 제시하고자 본 시험을 실시하였다. 인제지역(해발 500 m)에서 재배된 것이 평난지 보다 종구 생존율, 구 주가 크고, 구중이 무겁고, 자구수가 많아 효과적이었 다. 인제지역에서 구근 크기별로 정식한 후 180일간 재배하여 수확한 구근의 비대 결과, 구주(구근둘레) 4.0-5.9 cm 크기의 구근을 정식하였을 때 수확한 구근 크기는 10.8-11.3cm, 구중은 19.5-23.4 g, 구주 6.0- 8.9 cm 크기의 구근 정식 시 수확 한 것은 12.5- 13.9 cm, 구중은 29.2-43.5 g, 9.0-10.9 cm 크기의 구 근 정식 시 수확한 것은 16.0-17.9 cm, 구중 58.9- 85.5 g의 구근을 생산하였다.

        절임용 양파자구의 주년생산 공급 및 상품수율 향상의 일환으로 셀 수가 다른 플러그 트레이에 파종하여 가능성을 타진하고자 하여 조생종인 '조생썬더볼' 품종과 중 만생종인 '대지' 품종을 2010년 3월 27일에 105공, 128공 및 162공 플러그 트레이에 파종하여 벤치에서 재배 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조생종인 조생썬더볼 품종의 엽수는 5월 23일 조사에서 최대를 보인 후 감소하였으나 중 만생종인 대지 품종은 6월 하순에 최대를 보였다. 조생썬더볼 품종의 구 비대는 5월 23일 조사에서 이미 개시되었으나 대지 품종은 6월6일에 개시되었다. 셀 수에 따른 생육은 두 품종 공히셀 용적이 큰 105공 트레이가 128공 및 162공에 비해 좋은 경향이었다. 셀 수에 따른 구 비대 개시는 차이가 없었으나 구 비대 정도는 셀 수가 많은 것에 비해 적은 것이 큰 경향을 보였다. 자구의 수확시기별 분포는 조생썬더볼 품종은 7월에 모두 수확되었으나 대지 품종은 전체 수확량의 50% 이상이 8월에 수확 되었다. 셀 수에 따른 수확시기는 셀 수가 많을수록 늦어졌다. 수확된 자구의 크기별 분포는 두 품종 공히 셀 수가 많을수록 작은 자구의 분포가 많았다.

         ,  , The size of infective Steinernema arenarium juveniles is variable and ranges from 724 to 1408 ㎛. Effects of harvest time and infective juvenile size on pathogenicity, development, and reproduction were examined in the last instar of the great wax moth, Galleria mellonella. Harvest time of infective juveniles (IJs) of S. arenarium affected pathogenicity. IJs harvested at the 10th day from trapping were more pathogenic than those harvested the 3rd day from trapping. Mortality of G. mellonella also depending on harvest time, i.e, 100% died within 48h when IJs were harvested at the 10th day, without relation to size. However, mortality was 40% in the small size group (SSG) compared with 18% in the large size group (LSG) within 48h when IJs were harvested at the 3rd day. Establishment of S. arenarium within the host was different depending on IJ size. The number of established IJs was 1.8 in the SSG, 3.3 in the LSG, and 3.2 in the mixed size group (MSG) when IJs were harvested at the 3rd day, and 5.3 in the SSG, 7.4 in the LSG, and 7.6 in the MSG when IJs were harvested at the 10th day. The length of the female adult was 7,070.5 ㎛ in the SSG and 7,893.9 ㎛ in the LSG and that of the male was 1,460.5 ㎛ in the SSG and 1,688.2 ㎛ in the LSG when IJs were harvested at the 3rd day. The length of the female adult was 7,573.6 ㎛ in the SSG and 8,305.4 ㎛ in the LSG and that of the male adult was 1,733.4 ㎛ in the SSG and 1,794.4 ㎛ in the LSG when IJs were harvested at the 10th day. Harvest time and size of IJs did not influence numbers of progeny or size of IJS.

        파프리카 공정육묘시 육묘일수와 적정 육묘소요면적의 관계를 구명하기 위하여 육묘블록의 크기를 5×5cm, 7.5×7.5cm, 10×10cm로 달리 하여 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50일간 육묘하는 시험처리를 하였다. 묘소질은 25일 육묘시에는 육묘블록의 크기에 따른 차이가 없었으나 육묘기간이 길어지면 5×5cm 블록처리에서 나빠졌다. 7.5×7.5cm와 10×10cm간에는 엽수와 엽면적을 제외한 생육은 차이가 없었다. 정식이후 생육은 정식 후 35일까지는 육묘기간이나 블록크기간의 차이가 없었으나 육묘기간이 길어지고, 육묘블록의 크기가 작을수록 나빠졌다. 개화시기도 35일 육묘처리까지는 처리간 차이가 거의 없었으나 이후 육묘기기간이 길어지고 육묘블록의 크기가 작을수록 개화가 지연되었다. 수량은 30일과 35일 육묘구가 가장 많았고, 40일 이상 육묘할 경우 육묘기간이 길고 육묘블록의 크기가 작을수록 생산량이 감소하였다.

        The aim of the study was to identify which fall-prevention program offered in community settings in Korea is the most effective in strengthening muscles. Muscle weakness is one of the major risk factors causing falls among the elderly. Randomized controlled trials and clinical controlled trials published between 1996 and February 2011 were included in this study. Seventeen of the 69 identified studies met the study's criteria and were included in this meta-analysis. The overall effect size of the program was .822 (95% confidence interval= .717~.927). The general strengthening exercise (1.608), dance sports training (1.538), Thera-band exercise for lower extremities (1.517), Seniorobic exercise (1.146), gait training (.959), balance training (.909), gradual resistive exercise (.888), and multifactorial fall prevention (.842) programs all show positive effects on muscle strengthening. Subgroup analyses found that more relative effects are seen in programs offered to the more elderly. In this study, the effect of increasing muscle strength on the prevention of falls can only be indirectly suggested; there are few available studies that report the frequency or history of falls in Korea. Further studies are needed to examine the direct effect of fall prevention exercise programs among the elderly.

        In the current study, the effects of particle size on compaction behavior of water-atomized pure iron powders are investigated. The iron powders are assorted into three groups depending on the particle size; 20-45 , 75-106 , and 150-180 for the compaction experiments. The powder compaction procedures are processed with pressure of 200, 400, 600, and 800 MPa in a cylindrical die. After the compaction stage, the group having 150-180 of particle size distribution shows the best densification behavior and reaches the highest green density. The reason for these results can be explained by the largest average grain size in the largest particle group, due to the low plastic deformation resistance in large grain sized materials.

        Ni 8 wt.%-doped tin oxide (SnO2) thick films were fabricated into gas sensors by the method of screen printing onto alumina substrates. The particle size of SnO2 was controlled by changing the ball-mill time between 0~120 h. The structural and morphological properties of these thick films were investigated using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The structural properties of SnO2 powders showed a tetragonal phase with (110) dominant orientation. The particle size of the SnO2:Ni powders after ball-mill of 120 h was about 0.05 μm. The gas sensitivity (S = Rg/Ra) to 5 ppm CH4 gas and CH3CH2CH3 gas was measured at room temperature by comparing the resistance in air (Ra) with that of the target gases (Rg). The sensitivity of the SnO2 gas sensors was enhanced by increasing the ball-mill time. There was an association between the sensitivity of both the CH4 gas and the CH3CH2CH3 gas and the particle size of the SnO2. SnO2 gas sensors prepared by 72 h ball-mill showed a sensitivity of about 13 to 5 ppm CH4 gas and CH3CH2CH3 gas. The response time of the SnO2:Ni gas sensors to the CH4 gas was about 20 seconds.

        Prior austenite grain size plays an important role in the production of high strength hot-rolled steel. This study investigated the effect of Ti and C contents on the precipitates and prior austenite grain size. Steel with no Ti solutes had prior austenite grain size of about 620 μm. The addition of Ti ~ 0.03 wt.% and 0.11 wt.% reduced the prior austenite grain size to 180 μm and 120 μm, respectively. The amount of Ti required to significantly decrease the prior austenite grain size was in the range of 0.03 wt.%. However, the amount of carbon required to significantly decrease the prior austenite grain size was not present from 0.04 wt.% to 0.12 wt.%. Oxides of Ti (Ti2O3) were observed as the Ti content increased to 0.03 wt.%. The specimen containing 0.11 wt.% of Ti exhibited the complex carbides of (Ti, Nb) C. The formation of Ti precipitates was critical to reduce the prior austenite grain size. Furthermore, the consistency of prior austenite grain size increased as the carbon and Ti contents increased. During the reheating process of hot-rolled steel, the most critical factor for controlling the prior austenite grain size seems to be the presence of Ti precipitates.

        본 연구에서는 고춧가루의 매운맛을 내는 주성분인 캡사이신 함량을 신속하게 측정할 수 있도록 근적외선 흡광도를 측정할 수 있는 시스템을 구성하였다. 이를 이용하여 동일지역(영광군)에서 생산된 맵지 않은 일반 품종의 고춧가루와 우리나라에서 아주 매운 고추로 알려진 청양 품종의 고춧가루를 혼합하여 만들어진 시료에 대하여 입자의 크기별로 캡사이신 함량을 예측할 수 있는 PLSR 모델을 개발하였다. 고춧가루 입도별로 캡사이신 함량의 예측성능을 향상시키기 위한 스펙트럼 전처리 조건을 구명하였으며, 입도가 캡사이신의 함량 예측에 미치는 영향을 구명하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. (1) 고춧가루의 근적외선 흡광도 측정 시스템은 1100-2300 nm 대역에서의 근적외선 흡광도 측정용 AOTF-NIR Spectrometer, 여러 부위의 흡광도를 측정하기 위하여 제작된 시료 회전판, 시료 회전판을 회전시키는 모터, 회전판의 속도를 조절하는 속도조절장치와, 시료 용기 등으로 구성되었다. (2) 1100-2300 nm의 대역에서 고춧가루와 순수 캡사이신 분말의 스펙트럼을 측정한 결과 고춧가루의 스펙트럼 피크들과 캡사이신의 스펙트럼 피크가 유사한 대역에서 나타나, 근적외선 분광법을 이용하여 고춧가루의 캡사이신 함량 예측이 가능한것으로 판단되었다. (3) 고춧가루 입도별(0.425 mm이하, 0.425-0.71 mm, 0.71-1.4 mm)로 획득한 근적외선 흡광도에 대하여 전처리를 달리하여 개발한 캡사이신 함량 예측용 PLSR 모델을 교차검증한 결과 결정계수(RV2)는 0.948-0.979, 예측오차(SEP)는 6.56-7.94 mg% 범위에서 나타났으며, 입도가 작을수록 예측성능이 우수하였다. (4) 3가지 입도를 통합한 고춧가루(입도 1.4 mm이하)에 대하여 캡사이신 함량 예측모델 개발을 위한 최적의 스펙트럼 전처리 조건은 영역 정규화, SNV와 1차 미분 3가지를 순차적으로 적용하는 것이었으며, 이를 이용하여 PLSR 예측모델을 개발하여 교차검증으로 검증할 때 결정계수(Rv2)는 0.959, 예측오차(SEP)는 8.82 mg%로 나타났다. (5) 입도가 구분된 고춧가루에는 입도별 예측모델을 적용하고, 입도가 구분되지 않은 고춧가루는 통합 입도 예측모델에 적용함으로써 캡사이신 함량의 예측정확도를 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

        To investigate new potential application of a clay material for C/C composites, illite added C/C composites were prepared with various illite contents. The improvement of filler effect by illite size reduction was also investigated using wet ballmilling by evaluating illite/phenolic resin infiltration using bulk density and porosity measurements, chemical structural changes of the composites using XRD, and thermal oxidation stability in air of the composites using TGA. The size reduction of illite resulted in narrower particle size distribution and improved illite infiltration into carbon preform. And the resultant C/C composites prepared with illite had even more improved thermal oxidation stability in air, showing more increased IDTs up to 100℃, compared to those of the C/C composites with pristine illite, due to the SiC formation through carbothermal reduction between illite and carbon materials. The illite induced delay in oxidation of the illite-C/C composites was also observed and the delayed oxidation behavior was attributed to the layered structure of illite, which improved illite/phenol resin infiltration. Therefore, the potential use of illite as filler to improve oxidation stability of C/C composite can be promising. And the size reduction of illite can improve its effect on the desired properties of illite-C/C composites even more.

        This work presents a fabrication procedure to make large-area, size-tunable, periodically different shape metal arrays using nanosphere lithography (NSL) combined with ashing and annealing. A polystyrene (PS, 580 μm) monolayer, which was used as a mask, was obtained with a mixed solution of PS in methanol by multi-step spin coating. The mask morphology was changed by oxygen RIE (Reactive Ion Etching) ashing and temperature processing by microwave heating. The Au or Pt deposition resulted in size tunable nano patterns with different morphologies such as hole and dots. These processes allow outstanding control of the size and morphology of the particles. Various sizes of hole patterns were obtained by reducing the size of the PS sphere through the ashing process, and by increasing the size of the PS sphere through annealing treatment, which resulted in tcontrolling the size of the metallic nanoparticles from 30 nm to 230 nm.

        Recently, Fishermen have required to expand the circumference of trap entrance for conger eel because it was difficult to take the catch out as well as to put the baits into. A series of fishing experiments was carried out in coastal areas of Tongyoung, Korea in 2008 and 2009 using the traps to describe the effect of the entrance size on the catch. The experimental traps (five types) were used in filed experiments with four types circumference size traps (140, 180, 220 and 260mm) with mesh size 22mm and another type was used the same one usually using in filed with mesh size 35mm (750mm circumference). The experiment results were, the conger eels of total length 35mm more or so were caught 85, 93, 142 and 176 individual by the experiment traps with mesh size 22mm as increase circumference size from 140mm to 260mm, respectively. And the small conger eels of the total length below 35mm to be prohibited to catch by law were caught 145, 160, 288 and 304 individual according to increase the circumference size of trap, respectively. In addition, in case of the trap with mesh size 22mm, bycatches were 230 - 260 individuals and much more than bycatches of the trap with mesh size 35mm. In conclusion, when we expand the circumference size of trap according to fishermen's requirement, we should review not only economic of fishery but also increasement the bycatch of non-target fishes and small size fishes.

        In this research, the optimal manufacturing conditions of fine Si powders from Si scrap were investigated as a function of different initial powder size using the high-energy ball milling equipment, which produces the fine powder by means of an ultra high-energy within a short duration. The morphological change of the powders according to the milling time was observed by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). With the increasing milling time, the size of Si powder was decreased. In addition, more energy and stress for milling were required with the decreasing initial powder size. The refinement of Si scrap was rapidly carried out at 10min ball milling time. However, the refined powder started to agglomerate at 30 min milling time, while the powder size became uniform at 60 min milling time.

        This study was conducted to estimate the effect of the breed, sire-breeds, farrowing year, farrowing season and parity on number of born alive (NBA), number of weaning (NW) and survival rates of weaning (SRW) in swine. The data were obtained from 46,704 litters of the Landrace, Yorkshire, Duroc and Cross breed farrowed from 1996 to 2005 at 142 GP are registered in Korean Animal Improvement Association (KAIA). There was highly significant effect of breed, sire breed, farrowing year, farrowing season and parity on NBA, NW, SRW (p<0.01). The result of this study could be available to genetic improvement of reproductive traits as a basic reference in Korean pig industry. To achieve the more effective improvement of reproductive traits, additional research such as genetic parameter evaluation should be performed.

        The object of this study was to investigate the effects of rice particle size on the physicochemical properties of beef-rice porridge. The pH of beef-rice porridge was decreased as compared to that of the control, while the redness of beef porridge increased according to rice particle size. The viscosity of flour in the beef-rice porridge was the highest among three porridges, at 40℃. The protein content of beef-rice porridge was increased 3-fold over that of rice porridges. The total amino acid content of the beef-rice porridge was 3071.2 mg/100 g, and that of rice porridge was 1147.5 mg/100 g. As compared to rice porridge, the maximum amounts of the amino acids Lys and Thr were increased beef-rice porridge. Sensory evaluation results showed that the beef-rice porridge with a particle size half that of rice had the highest scores in color, taste, texture, and overall preference. Based on these results, it is suggested that beef-rice porridge with a particle size half (0.7-2.5 mm) that of rice has optimal quality in terms of both physicochemical and sensory properties.
