        최근 폐기물관리법이 개정됨에 따라 재활용 사업자가 재활용 원칙 및 준수사항이 없는 폐기물을 재활용하려는 경우 및 폐기물이 토양, 지하수 등과 접촉하는 매체접촉형 재활용을 하려는 경우에는 재활용환경성평가를 받아야 한다. 재활용환경성평가에서는 폐기물에 대한 유해특성과 재활용 기술의 적합성 등을 평가한다. 폐기물에 대한 유해특성이 있는 경우 폐기물을 재활용하기 위해서는 폐기물관리법 시행령 [별표4의2]에 따라 이들 유해특성을 제거 또는 안정화하여야 한다. 하지만 현재 폐기물 유해특성을 파악하기 위해서는 높은 분석 비용과 많은 시간이 소요되므로 재활용 사업자 모두가 재활용환경성평가에서 폐기물의 유해특성을 분석하기는 현실적으로 어렵다. 유해특성은 폐기물에 포함된 화학물질에 의하여 발현될 수 있으므로 유해특성별 대표 화학물질이 설정되어 있다면 폐기물 유해특성을 사전에 판정할 수 있다. 유해특성별 대표 화학물질 선정을 위하여 국내 화학물질 배출량 조사제도 대상 물질 415종, 화학물질관리법상 유독 및 제한물질 목록 959종, EU Regulation of(EC) No 1272/2008 4,231종의 화학물질을 대상으로 설정하였다. 유해특성의 구분 기준은 United Nations의 Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals(GHS)의 한 부분인 Hazard Statement Code(유해・위험 문구)로 하였다. GHS는 화학물질에 대한 분류・표시 국제조화시스템으로 각 물질별로 유해・위험 문구가 제시되어 있으며 유해・위험 문구를 확인하기 위한 시험 방법과 국내 폐기물 유해특성의 판정 기준의 비교를 통하여 국내 유해특성 별 대표 화학물질을 검토하고자 한다. 최근 재활용 허용 범위의 확대를 위하여 폐기물관리법에서의 폐기물 재활용에 대한 방식은 허용행위 열거방식에서 제한행위 열거방식으로 전면 개정되었다. 이에 따라 폐기물의 재활용으로 인한 인체의 건강과 환경에 대한 악영향을 최소화하기 위하여 폐기물에 대한 신규 유해특성을 도입하였다. 폐기물에 대한 유해특성은 기존 3종(감염성, 부식성, 용출독성)이었으나 6종(폭발성, 인화성, 생태독성 등)이 추가되어 9종으로 확대되었다. 폐기물관리법 시행령 [별표 4의2] (폐기물의 재활용 준수사항)에 따르면 폐기물을 재활용하려는 자는 폐기물에 대한 유해특성을 제거 또는 안정화하여야 한다고 명시되어 있어 폐기물의 재활용을 위해서는 우선적으로 폐기물에 대한 유해특성을 파악해야 한다.

        본 최근 건축물 외벽공사에 커튼월 공법의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 외벽 커튼월 공법은 공기단축 및 경제적 효용이 크다는 장점으로 인해 건물의 외벽으로도 널리 시공되고 있다. 그러나, 커튼월 공법의 프레임과 유리를 연결해 주는 구조용 실란트에 대한 내후성 및 구조물의 거동에 대한 열화를 대체한 시험은 KS F 4910 규격에는 부재한 실정으로 안정적인 커튼월 공법 도입과 품질향상을 위해서는 필요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 외기환경하에서 거동에 대한 탄성복원력시험을 실시하였다. 구조용 실란트를 대상으로 열에 대한 실링재의 열화를 평가하였다. 국내에서는 구조용 실란트의 가변형 변위거동에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정으로 본 연구에서는 외기 환경에 노출된 열화조건을 대체하여 실 험실 조건에서 재현한 결과를 확인하고, 설계에 반영하고자 한다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면, 기존의 구조용 실링재는 KS F 4910의 품질기준은 만 족하지만, 본 연구에서 실시한 조건에서는 시험체의 파단과 표면의 균열 등이 발생하는 것을 확인하였다. 특히, 내후성 시험에서는 시험체 모두 불용의 상태를 확인하여 향후, 커튼월 공법에 사용되는 구조용 실링재의 장기적인 내구성능 평가가 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서, 기존의 구조용 실링재가 현장에 적용되기 위해서는 별도의 내구성능 평가를 실시가 요구된다.

        This study aimed to identify the aquatic and riparian factors associated with the presence/absence of the Eurasian otter in the Nakdong river basin, where the species is relatively more abundant than other otter species. Environmental factors and presence records were collected. Geographical Information System technology and chi-square test were used to compare environmental gradients in aquatic and riparian factors between presence and absence sites. Aquatic habitat attributes were evaluated with natural riverside sandbars and channel crossing artificial structures, the ratio of channel width to alluvial plain width, riverbed substrate, and flow diversity. Riverbank characteristics, bank materials, man-made embankment types, and land use/land cover of inland and riverside areas were selected as riparian habitat attributes. Compared to the aquatic attributes, riparian attributes were highly significant when assessing otter presence and absence sites, suggesting that conservation of suitable riparian areas to provide maternity and resting areas for otter species is essential in the Nakdong river basin. None of the aquatic attributes examined were statistically significant when evaluating otter presence or absence. These results indicate that the presence of suitable riparian area for resting and reproduction habitats is more critical to the presence of Eurasian otter than food availability in aquatic areas.         Total mixed ration (TMR) including concentrate diet and roughage together have been used for the ruminant animal. Relatively high concentrations of moisture and water soluble carbohydrate are representative feature of TMR. Those moisture and water can also provide a niche for bacterial growth. Therefore, a possible fermentation of TMR induced by micro-organism is generally accepted. The present study hypothesized that different lactic acid bacteria could alter fermentation of TMR and subsequently rumen fermentation. Three lactic acid bacteria, Lactobacillus paracasei (A), L. plantarum (B) and L. parabuchneri (C), were employed and 7 treatments under full factorial design were compared with control without inoculation. TMR for dairy cow was used. Significant alterations by treatments were detected at lactic acid and butyric acid contents in TMR (p<0.05). Treatment AC (mixture of A and C) and BC (mixture of B and C) showed great lactate production. Great butyrate production was found at treatment C. At in vitro rumen fermentation, treatments B, C and AB (mixture of A and B) showed significantly great total gas production (p<0.05). All treatments except treatments B and AB, showed less dry matter digestibility, significantly (p<0.05). Total volatile fatty acid production at treatment AC was significantly greater than others (p<0.05). In individual volatile fatty acid production, treatment AB and AC showed great acetate and propionate productions, significantly (p<0.05). This study investigated correlation between organic acid production in TMR and rumen volatile fatty acid production. And it was found that butyric acid in TMR had significant negative correlation with acetate, propionate, total volatile fatty acid, AP ratio and dry matter digestibility.

        Coal ash from power plants is divided into fly ash and bottom ash, which are produced after burning bituminous anthracite coal at 1,600°C. Coal ash is composed of fly ash (82%) and bottom ash (18%); while most fly ash is recycled as ready-mix concrete admixture and cement additive, bottom ash is left unused in landfill sites located within power plant grounds. This has been studied less comprehensively than fly ash; therefore, our aim was to assess the recyclability of the bottom ash generated by two (A & B) thermal power plants and thus identify the characteristics of hazardous substances in coal ash that are generated in power plants and evaluate the environmental contamination likelihood in the recycling of the produced coal ash. Currently, emitters such as thermal power plants have various requirements for the recycling of coal ash (bottom ash and they are also required by law to consider how the country’s environmental impact may be affected by recycling large amounts of coal ash. The concentrations of hazardous substances contained in coal ash (bottom ash) are generally lower than the criteria for soil contaminants and the standard for hazardous substances contained in designated waste. We found no significant leaching of heavy metal and its concentration; however, the levels of heavy metals in coal ash were generally low. The results of column leaching testing for potential environmental impact assessment indicated that increased leaching time might lead to the reduced ionic concentration of coal ash.

        This research was carried out to investigate the germination and seedling growth characteristics of the halophyte Suaeda asparagoides under various salt concentrations, temperatures, and the presence or absence of light S. asparagoides has a non-endospermic dicotyledonous seed structure that is go stone-shaped with a dark brown color and covered by a star-shaped perianth. Germination within the temperature range 5~40°C varied from 8% to 65%. The highest germination occurred at 15°C. In seeds exposed to salt concentrations in the range 0~400 mM, the highest germination occurred at 0 mM, and the germination progressively decreased as the salt concentration increased. When the perianth of the seed was removed, the germination increased significantly. In the presence or absence of light, germination under white light was 5~20% higher than that under darkness, which varied according to salt concentrations in the range 0~300 mM. The plant growth of S. asparagoides, evaluated by plant height, branch number, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight, was higher in the concentration range 50~100 mM, and it decreased in the other concentrations. In conclusion, the seeds of S. asparagoides showed higher germination in fresh water at low temperature of approximately 15°C under light when the perianth was removed, and the plant growth was higher at salt concentrations of 50~100 mM.

        In the current concrete structure of the highway is still the major problem most of concrete deterioration caused by the freeze-thaw and de-icing salt, which is of issues that are not completely resolved. In particular, a single freezing event does not cause much harm, durability of concrete under multi-deterioration environment by repeated freeze-thaw and de-icing salt is rapidly degraded and reduce its service life. In this study, to considering environmental characteristics when design and construction of concrete structures, the exposure environmental guidelines were established by investigation the application rates of de-icing salt, temperatures and snowfall characteristics during five years (2004∼2008) by regions. Also, damage condition and chloride content of the structural at regions of moderate and severe environmental exposures were investigated.

        개병풍(Astilboides tabularis (Hemsl.) Engl.)의 보전 및 복원을 위한 기초자료를 확보하기 위해 자생지 환경특성을 조사하였다. 자생지 고도는 해발 432-1,413 m까지 다양하게 위치하 였으며, 경사도는 16-49.5°로 비교적 급한 경사지에 자라는 것 으로 확인되었고, 주로 북사면을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 개 병풍 자생지의 식생분석 결과 12개 방형구에서 조사된 관속식 물은 246분류군이었으며, 개병풍이 주로 분포한 초본층의 중요 치는 개병풍이 20.40%로 가장 높았고, 다음으로는 관중(4.56%), 도깨비부채(3.72%), 노루오줌(2.81%), 대사초(2.67%), 단풍취 (2.65%), 벌깨덩굴(2.46%)의 순으로 나타나 이러한 종류들이 개병풍과 유사한 환경을 선호하는 것으로 판단된다. 종다양도는 평균 1.23, 우점도와 균등도는 각각 0.11과 0.86으로 산출되었다. 토양분석 결과 낙엽층의 두께는 2-10 ㎝이었으며, 토심 은 20.8-67.5 ㎝로 나타났다. 토성은 사질토, 미사질토, 양토 등이었으며, pH는 5.63-7.74, 유기물함량은 8.88-42.55%, 그 리고 질소함량은 1.40-6.58 ㎎/g으로 나타났다.

        This study was to investigate characteristics of Seoho watershed in Suwon city. BOD5 and SS were selected due to the one of the important factors of the water qualities. Monitoring was conducted monthly for four years during the non-rainfall time. Also, we have been monitored BOD5, CODMn, SS, TN and TP with two times sampling after the rainfalls. The highest concentrations of BOD5 and SS were observed in downstream compare with upstream and midstream during the non-rainfall time. No change was observed in BOD5 and CODMn during the non-rainfall time and after the rainfalls. The monitoring result indicated that the concentration of SS was the highest in downstream after the rainfalls. We have collected the samples two times after the rainfalls. The rainfall intensity in first sampling was two times higher than second sampling. TN and TP concentrations were increased with increasing the rainfall intensity at all stream. The ESB (Ecological Score of Benthic macroinverterbrate community) index was used to evaluate the statement of stream. ESB results were identified that the upstream is protected waters and the down and midstream is reformed waters. EBS analysis results indicated that the Seoho watershed was β-mesosaprobic at all stream.

        강원도 연복초 자생지 입지환경을 알아보기 위하여 분포지를 밝히고 9개 지역의 22 지점을 대상으로 환경요인, 식생 및 토양분석을 실시하였다. 연복초는 강원도 동해시, 속초시, 고성군과 양구군을 제외한 14개 시군의 총 44개 지역에 분포하는 것으로 확인되었다. 자생지는 해발 99-1,084 m의 범위에 위치하였으며, 경사는 0-25˚로 비교적 완만하였다. 식생조사 결과 방형구 내에 출현한 관속식물은 총 215분류군이었다. 초본층의 중요치는 연복초가 32.8%로 가장 높았으며 다음으로는 벌깨덩굴(7.5%), 미나리냉이(5.1%), 미치광이풀(3.8%), 현호색(3.3%) 등의 순으로 나타나 이 종류들이 연복초와 친화도가 높은 것으로 생각된다. 식생의 양적지수를 산출한 결과 종다양도는 0.4870-0.9848, 균등도와 우점도는 각각 0.4525-0.7601과 0.1335-0.4191의 범위로 나타났다. 각 방형구내에 조사된 종류들의 중요치에 기초한 군집분석 결과에서는 우점종의 상이성에 의해 유집되는 경향을 보였다. 토양 분석결과 포장용수량, pH 그리고 유기물함량은 각각 4.29-38.45%, 4.61-5.98, 2.44-20.21%의 범위로 조사되었다.

        This study was conducted to compare the protein characteristics, dough rheology and bread loaf volume of Korean wheat cultivars and CIMMYT lines produced in diverse environments and to determine the genetic and environmental effects on bread making quality. Protein characteristics, including protein content and SDS-sedimentation volume, mixing properties during dough development and bread loaf volume were primarily influenced by the environment. Wheat cultivated in Jinju exhibited higher SDS-sedimentation volume based on constant protein weight and bread loaf volume than those in Suwon and Iksan. SDS-sedimentation volume based on constant protein weight, mixing time of mixograph and mixing tolerance of mixograph were positively correlated with bread volume. Korean wheat cultivars showed different allelic variations of Glu-1 and Glu-3 compared to CIMMYT wheat lines. Alchanmil, Keumkangmil and Tapdongmil could be suitable for bread making because these cultivars exhibited a 10 point Glu-1 score. However, Korean wheat cultivars should be introduced specific alleles in Glu-3 loci, including Glu-A3b or d and Glu-B3b , d , f or g , to improve gluten strength related to increase bread loaf volume.

        Rhododendron brachycarpum is a evergreen broad-leaved shrub and belongs to the Ericaceae family and the Rhododendron genus. It is well known for its beautiful leaves and flowers. There are 11 species of the Rhododendron genus in Korea. It includes 3 species - Rhododendron brachycarpum, Rhododendron aureum Georgi and Rhododendron brachycarpum var. roseum Koidz. They grow naturally over 1,000 meters above sea level of the Baekdu Mountain Range in Korea. These habitats, according to investigations of 9 Rhododendron brachycarpum natural habitats, are mostly located on the slope of mountains facing north at an altitude of 1,200 m to 1,526 m above sea level with angle of inclination from 30 degrees to 45 degrees. Based on the result of vegetation analysis of dominance species in the quadrates, there are Quercus aliena, Quercus mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb, Abies holophylla in species of upper trees, and so on. Dominant species of woody plants in tree layer are Quercus aliena, Quercus mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb, Abies holophylla, Betula platyphylla and Veeatrum patulum Loes. fil, Erythronium japonicum, Dryopteris crassirhizoma, Paeonia japonica var. glabra Makino are founded in herbaceous plants. And we can see another result of the investigation that the flowering rates of the plants with the buds are highly ranked mountains such as Mt. Hambaek 68%, Mt. Gyebang 40%, Mt. Yagksu 9%, Mt. Gaein 7% and Mt. Seolag 0%. The results show that there are 24 over 15-year-old Rhododendron brachycarpums in Mt. Odae and are 56 under 15-year-old trees in Mt. Hambaek and are no trees in Mt. Gyebang and are 9 over 30-year-dead trees only in Mt. Taebaeg. Out of found trees, the highest tree is 7 m in height and 0.6 m in diameter. Also this result shows what are the vulnerability factors of the natural habitats. They are as follows: indiscriminate trails in mountains, damages by mountain climbers, uncareful plant collecting, the fierce competitions with other plants such as Acer pseudosieboldianum var. ishidoyanum Uyeki, Quercus aliena, Celastrus orbiculatus and damages by disease and insect, unusual temperature in natural habitats, etc. Rhododendron brachycarpums have high ornamental value and excellent pharmaceutical effect. But the areas of its habitats decrease dramatically. So we need measures to protect and their natural habitats. It is necessary that we conduct further investigations to designate conservation area for Rhododendron brachycarpums.

        This study was carried out to determine marine environments and phytoplankton community in Deukryang Bay during the period of summer in 1987-2010. Water temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen were shown in much yearly fluctuations. In August, water temperatures in surface and on bottom were the highest, compared with average surface (24.54℃) and bottom (22.90℃) water temperature for 18 years in Deukryang Bay. The main reason is assumed to longer duration of sunshine during the period of August. Although the amount of the rainfall in August was the highest, significant impact of marine environment did not show. Most of dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphate in Deukryang were lower concentration during summer and N:P ratio also showed below 18 in Redfield. In particular, extreme increasing of N:P ratio in August was occurred by intensive precipitation. Distribution of phytoplankton community was a consistent occurrence for 18 years. The genus of Chaetoceros, Cosinodisucs and Skeletonema were regarded as the represent diatom, whereas the highest occurrence of genus among dinofagellates was Ceratium. It is thought that the relationship between phytoplankton and nutrient has a strong positive signal, although nutrients persist a little concentration and much fluctuations in marine environments were observed. High availability in phytoplankton is contributed to consistently provide the food organism of shellfish. Consequently, recent decreasing production of shellfish and seed are probably associated with higher temperature during the period of summer. However, higher temperature is also occurred ago and after 2000. On the basis of geography, Deukryang Bay had a small mouth and long channel, which is attributed to decreasing genetic diversity. It is assumed that higher temperature and lower genetic diversity have a extreme impact of larvae and shellfish for reproduction in Deukryang. It is necessary to persistently monitor based on water quality and phytoplankton community.

        A ecosystem model was applied for understanding of circulation process of state variables in marine ecosystem. A mass balance was conducted by calculating the physical process. The sensitivity analysis was conducted to know which coefficient is the most effective factor to the state variables in the model. The results of the mass balance indicate that the primary production was 58.6 ton C/day in the case of mass flux. DIN and DIP in nutrient ingestion of phytoplankton were each 7.9 ton N/day, 1.1 ton P/day. POC and DOC in mineralization of organic matter were each 10.8 ton C/day, 40.6 ton C/day. The results of sensitivity analysis showed that the maximum growth rate of phytoplankton was the most important factor for overall state variables. In the case of nutrients, Half saturation constant of DIN, and mineralization rate of DOM for COD were important factor.

        This study intended to investigate environmental factors including soil and vegetation in order to understand the environmental and ecological characteristics of 12 different habitats of Iris odaesanensis. These habitats, according to investigations, are mostly located at elevation of 280 m to 1,555 m with angles of inclination ranging from 2 degree to 30 degrees. A total of 273 vascular plants are identified in 23 quadrates of 12 habitats. Dominant species of woody plants in 12 habitats are represented as Quercus mongolica in the tree layer (T1) and the subtree (T2) layer, and Lespedeza maximowiczii, Lindera obtusiloba, Rhododendron schlippenbachii in the shrub (S) layer. The importance value of Iris odaesanensis is 9.65%, as regards the herbaceous layer, and 6 highly ranked species such as Carex siderosticta (3.92%), Meehania urticifolia (2.67%), Spodiopogon cotulifer (2.58%), Aconitum pseudolaeve (2.51%), Carex bostrychostigma (2.28%) and Disporum smilacinum (2.09%) are considered to be an affinity with Iris odaesanensis in their habitats. The degree of their average species diversity is 1.32, and that of dominance and evenness are 0.08 and 0.89, respectively. The type of soil is sandy loam and loam, and the average field capacity of soil is 28.31%. Their average organic matter is 16.71%, soil pH 5.29, and available phosphorus is 9.29%. Correlation coefficients analysis based on environmental factors, vegetation and soil analysis shows that the coverage of Iris odaesanensis is correlated with pH and dominance, and species richness is positive related with species diversity.

        한반도 개모시풀의 자생지 환경조건에 따른 분포특성, 토양성분, 혼생식물을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 개모시풀의 상대밀도와 상대피도는 7.0%와 25.6%이었다. 해발고도별로는 200 m 이하에서 가장 많이 분포하였으며 해발고도가 높아질수록 분포지역이 적었다. 경사도별로는 20˚ 이하에서 80% 이상이 자생하였고, 사면별로는 남사면보다 햇빛이 적은 서사면과 북사면에서 집중되었다. 광량에 따른 분포는 90% 정도가 중광이나 약광이었고, 습윤 정도에 따른 분포는 69.1%가 습윤지역이었다. 자생지의 토성은 식양토이었으며, 평균 pH는 6.2로서 약산성 토양이었다. 유기물 함량은 24 g kg?1이었으며, 유효인산은 31 mg kg?1이었다. 혼생하는 식물은 60과 125속에 총 171분류군이었으며, 상대밀도와 상대피도가 가장 높은 혼생식물은 사위질빵이었다.

        To investigate correlation between the distribution of marine bacteria and environmental characteristics in the surface sediments of Kamak Bay, chemical oxygen demand(COD), acid volatile sulfide(AVS), ignition loss(IL), total organic carbon(TOC), and total organic nitrogen(TON) were measured and analyzed at 7 stations in winter and summer. In winter, COD and AVS ranged from 13.45 mg/g to 30.06 mg/g(average: 23.58 mg/g) and from 0.03 mg/g to 1.04 mg/g(average: 0.63 mg/g), respectively. IL, TOC, and TON ranged from 8.03% to 11.41%(average: 9.41%), from 1.17% to 2.10%(average: 1.62%), and from 0.09% to 0.18%(average 0.15%), respectively. In summer, COD, AVS, IL, TOC, and TON ranged from 14.06 mg/g to 32.19 mg/g(average: 24.71 mg/g), from 0.03 mg/g to 1.11 mg/g(average: 0.66 mg/g), from 9.00% to 12.15%(average: 10.96%), from 1.27% to 2.12%(average 1.77%), and from 0.12% to 0.19%(average: 0.16%), respectively. These values were relatively higher than those in winter. Kamak Bay had high C/N ratio that might be resulted from the input of terrestrial sewage and industrial wastewater. The number of marine viable bacteria was 8.9 × 104 cfu/g in winter and 9.7 × 105 cfu/g in summer. The most abundant species were Pseudomonas spp., Flavobacterium spp., and Vibrio spp. in the surface sediments of Kamak Bay. It was found that the concentration of organic matters and viable bacterial cells in the inner part were relatively higher than those in the outer of Kamak Bay. The distribution of viable bacterial cells was closely influenced by environmental factors.

        본 연구는 댐으로 유입되는 하천수의 수질과 부유물질의 특성 분석을 통하여 댐의 탁수발생원인을 환경지질학적으로 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 2004년 5월부터 8월까지 3회에 걸쳐 가창댐의 본 댐 유역, 수변과 상류지역의 토양, 암석, 유입하천을 대상으로 댐 원수와 하천수, 토양, 암석, 부유물질의 특성을 ICP, IC, 입도분석기, XRD, SEM로써 분석하였다. 상류에서 하류로 갈수록 EC, 탁도, 양이온, 음이온의 농도가 증가하는데, 이는 풍화와 같은 지질학적인 영향으로 이온들의 총량이 증가하기 때문이다. 부유물과 토양내의 주 광물조성은 질석, 일라이트, 카올리나이트, 석영, 장석, 철수산화물 등이었다. 토양의 경우, 상류에서 하류로 갈수록 세립질 10% 구간(d10)의 입자의 양이 약간 증가하며, 부유물은 댐에 가까워질수록 질석의 함량이 증가한다. 그러나 본 유역을 구성하는 암석은 대부분 유사함을 보이고 이러한 지질분포특성에 의하여 부유물과 토양의 광물조성의 변화는 거의 나타나지 않는다. 부유물을 구성하는 점토광물들은 주변의 토양 구성광물과 유사하며 주변 모암의 풍화작용에 의해 생성된 토양으로부터 유래된 것을 지시한다.
