        This study aimed to investigate the perception and preferences related to Korean food of university students in Yanbian, China. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 306 (124 males and 182 females) students. The preferences for Chinese food (44.7%) and a combination of Korean (32.0%) and Chosun food (12.4%) were similar, and Korean food was more preferred than traditional Chosun food. The main reason for preferences for Korean food was taste. The perception of Korean hot spices and kimchi smell was not good, whereas positive perceptions where held for foods made with jang, new Korean food experience and healthiness of Korean food. Awareness of Korean food was in the order of bibimbap, kimchibokkeum- bap, gimbap, baechi-kimchi and ttoe-bbokki. Preference order was bulgogi, so-galbi, jang-jorim, dak-galbi and dewaeji-galbil. Meat foods and Korean traditional foods were relatively high, whereas kimchi, ttoe-bbokki and bibimbap were relatively low in terms of preference. More female than male students preferred Korean food, and the perception of new food experience and healthiness of Korean food were positive. Moreover, both awareness and preference related to Korean food were significantly higher in female than male students. These results can be used as a foundation to prepare a localization strategy of Korean food to China.

        The purpose of this study was to compare hand washing awareness and microorganism contamination on the hands for evaluating the difference between awareness and conditions of hand hygiene. The average number of total aerobic bacteria and coliform was 2.7 log CFU/hand and 1.8 log CFU/hand, respectively. Coliform bacteria were detected in all of the students tested in this study. The questionnaire survey data obtained via a direct interview were collected from 100 university students with microorganism analysis. A majority (90%) of the students recognized that good hand hygiene is important in order to prevent food poisoning. In the hand washing survey data, the responses suggesting “always washed” from “before eating food”, “after handling money”, “after finishing study” and “after visiting patients” were observed in 18, 13, 15 and 33 out of the 100 students, respectively. The questionnaire data of hand washing frequency and time duration showed that 14 students and 6 students answered “more than 8 times of hand washing per day” and “more than 30 seconds of hand washing time”, respectively. These results indicated that improper hand washing practices and poor hand hygiene were identified in the majority of the students. This emphasizes the difference between awareness and conditions of hand hygiene. Repeated hand washing education about the frequency, time duration and methods is constantly required to improve hand hygiene. Installation of hand washing equipment in the space of a restaurant and cafeteria is suggested for enhancing hand hygiene before eating food.

        Korean government has made continued efforts to aim the communicative method as the national object of English education since the 6th curriculum. However, a number of researches have reported that there are consistent problems in English education instructions in public schools. Students in Korea including Jeju have suffered from communicative competence such as speaking and writing since public schools in Korea have focused on grammar-translation method. This research focuses on the differences exists among undergraduate students’ perceptions on the effectiveness of university English curriculum in Jeju. The participants in this research are the first and second year undergraduate students in the Department of Tourism English for the spring semester of 2017 in Jeju province. The data were collected in May, 2017 by distributing survey questionnaire to the students in four classes. Six questions in the questionnaire were used to measure how participants perceived the importance of various goals regarding English instructional approaches. Participants tend to be more interested in Communicative language teaching (CLT) than the traditional English instruction (TRA).

        This paper was to explore the effect of user characteristics of SNS on interpersonal problems of university students. This survey was conducted from March, 2016 to Apeil, 2016 and 315 responses from the survey were used for the analysis. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and Multiple Regression. As a main result, limited personal relationship on SNS and SNS utilization time were the significant predictors to interpersonal problems, but SNS access rate, relationships on SNS as well as in real life didn't have the effectiveness to interpersonal problems. In conclusion, to reduce interpersonal problems, limited personal relationship on SNS and SNS utilization time should be controled.

        The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between conspicuous consumption tendency, brand attitudes, and purchase intentions of college students regarding eating out by limiting conspicuous consumption tendency among several psychological variables to acquire a more precise and concrete influence factor on consumption behavior to eat out. First, as for sensing other people, pursuing individuality and brand orientation among conspicuous consumption tendency of restaurant costumers had significant effects on brand attitudes, whereas the influence of status symbols and pursuing trend factor on brand attitudes was not verified. Second, as for sensing other people, pursing individuality, pursuing trends, and brand orientation factor among conspicuous consumption tendency had significant effects on purchasing intention. Otherwise, the significant effect relationship between status symbols factor and purchasing intentions was not confirmed. Third, as purchase intentions increased, brand attitudes of consumers increased according to existing research. Thus, this study suggests a more departmentalized marketing strategy method to create profits and enhance competitiveness of food service enterprises, and academic implications suggest fundamental data of relevant studies on conspicuous consumption tendency and purchasing behavior of consumers to eat out

        Stress is resistance to stimuli to destroy a balance of mind and body in order to maintain an original steady state : A type of response and avoidance. Mild stress, which happens in tension, has a positive effect to improve concentration, but most of stress is likely to be a main factor to damage health. This is because it causes physical ailments and psychological diseases (e.g., depression, anger, frustration, loneliness, and anxiety). The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference between two groups, daytime and night university students, on ego-state, stressors, and stress coping types to improve their academic achievement by reducing their stress. There were 266 university students, who participated in a survey from November 30, 2015 until September 30, 2016. The study employed three measuring instruments : Ego-gram, stressor scale, and stress coping type scale. All the collected data were analyzed through regression analysis and t-test. The results of the regression analysis showed no significant differences in ego-state, stressors, and stress coping types between two groups. However, the results of t-test showed significant difference between the two groups : In terms of ego-state, a CP (Critical Parent) average of the night university students was significantly higher than the daytime university students’. Also, there is a significant difference in employment, future issues, and economic issues : the daytime university students considered employment and future issues more serious, while the night university students had more mental burdens of economic issues. When it comes to coping stress types, there was no significant difference between the two groups.

        인간의 삶에 있어 사고 및 환경의 변화를 대할 때, 혹은 새로운 환경의 적응과 어려움이 있을 때 인간에게 있어서는 선택을 하는 순간이 오게 된다. 많은 문제와 어려움의 시기에 우울이나 부정적인 감정과 함께 이는 다양한 종류의 또 다른 문제의 시발점이 될 수도 있고, 또 다른 선택으로 개인의 자아성장이나 다른 자원의 발견 및 스스로에 대한 힘과 에너지를 통하여 새로운 방향으로의 생각과 깊이 있게 다른 사람과 다양한 문제들을 바라보는 시각의 변화를 경험할 수도 있다. 대학생 시기는 사회에 나가는 첫 번째의 시기로 그 어느 때보다 삶의 반경이 넓어질 수 있으며, 스스로에 대하여 어떻게 생각하고 여러 본인에게 있어서의 위기 상황에서 어 떻게 대처할 것인가에 대하여 알게 될 수 있는 시기이기에 중요하다. 이에 대학생의 우 울감 및 자아존중감 또한 이러한 어려움에 대하는 자세인 회복탄력성에 대하여 알아보 고자 한 결과, 회복탄력성은 대인관계능력, 긍정성에 의미있게 나왔으며, 우울은 정서적, 인지적, 동기적, 생리적 부분에서 모두 매우 낮게 나타났다. 자아존중감은 남성이 여성보 다 더 높았으며, 연령으로는 회복탄력성의 대인관계 능력과 우울감의 인지적, 동기적 우울에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 자아존중감에 미치는 영향으로는 대인관계능력에 의미 가 있었다. 회복탄력성의 자기조절능력은 자아존중감과 관계가 있었으며 자기조절능력 이 높아질수록 자아존중감이 높아지며, 자기조절능력이 높을수록 우울감이 낮아짐으로 이를 통하여 위기나 다양한 상황에서 자기조절능력과 자아존중감과 긍정성을 키우는 것 이 회복탄력성에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 이에 따라서 대학에서의 대학생들의 삶에 많은 영향을 미치는 이러한 자기조절능력이나 긍정성을 키울 수 있는 다양한 상담 방법의 활용 및 프로그램이 필요하다고 할 수 있겠다.

        목적 : 본 연구는 대학생들의 활동 참여와 자율성 및 삶의 질을 알아보고 성별, 연령, 학년, 거주 형태, 본인의 종교, 한 달 용돈 등 다양한 일반적 특성에 따른 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 2014년 11월부터 12월까지 강원도 원주시에 위치한 Y대학교에 재학 중인 남⋅여 대학생 140명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 회수된 설문지 중 데이터가 빠진 항목을 제외한 118부를 분석하였으며, SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 일원배치 분산분석 및 사후검정을 실시하였다. 결과 : 대학생들은 ‘전화 혹은 컴퓨터로 다른 사람과 연락하기’(한 달에 19회 이상)를 가장 많이 하고 있었으며 대부분의 활동에 있어 제한으로 인한 어려움을 느끼고, 만족도는 보통이었다. 집안/주변에서의 활동에서 가장 낮은 자율성을 느끼 고 있었으며, 신체적 기능은 좋지만 활력이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 대학생들은 한 달 용돈에 따라서 통계적으로 유의미한 차가 가장 많이 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 건강한 대학생들의 참여와 자율성 및 삶의 질의 현황을 파악 할 수 있었으며, 향후 대학생들에게 다양한 작업의 참여를 권장하고 자율성과 삶의 질을 향상시키는 교육 및 프로그램 개발에 기초 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

        목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 대학생 초보운전자의 심리적 요인과 안전운전행동의 관계를 알아보고자 함이다. 연구방법 : K대에 재학중인 대학생 초보운전자 30명의 자아존중감, 자기효능감, 행동억제 및 행동활성화 체계, 정적정서 및 부적정서, 불안, 우울 그리고 분노를 측정하고 안전운전행동의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 운전수행자와 비운전자 집단간 비교를 위해서는 맨휘트니 검정을 실시하였다. 결과 : 심리적 요인과 안전운전행동의 관계를 살펴본 결과 자아존중감과 자기효능감 그리고 정적정서와 안전운전행동은 정적상관관계가 있고 행동억제체계와 불안과는 부적상관관계가 있었다. 또한 운전수행자와 비운전자의 심리적 요인 중 자기효능감과 정적정서, 우울에서 집단간 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 초보운전자의 심리적 요인이 안전운전행동에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였으며 초보운전자의 심리적 요인에 보다 주목할 필요성을 시사하고 있다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate eating habits and dormitory foodservices’ satisfaction in university students using dormitory foodservice in the Jeollabuk-do Iksan area. Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 195 students (86 male, 109 female). Many students (58.5%) ate less than two meals per day and spent around 30 min eating meals. The results show that snack and midnight meals were the main reasons (37.9%) for unhealthy eating habits. Main source of nutritional knowledge and information were TV and the Internet (58.5%), followed by friends and people (25.1%), nutrition books (10.3%), elective courses (4.6%), and newspapers and magazines (1.5%). Men had significantly higher satisfaction scores for nutrition, taste, diversity of menu, as well as hygiene of dormitory food court compared to women (p<0.05). Salty taste was the most important factor in evaluation of taste satisfaction, whereas sour taste was opposite. The reason for taste dissatisfaction in the dormitory food court was not salty enough, and it may be related with their eating habits. The results show that students need education for adequate knowledge and information about the relationship between health and nutrition.

        The purpose of this study was to analyze University student’s dietary behavior for processed foods and recognition on food nutrition labelling according to the degree of health concern. For this study, 302 University students in Gyeonggi region was surveyed by questionnaire from May in 2016 and it included the questions about general matters, dietary behavior on processed foods, and the food nutrition label system. It was analysed by SPSS win 23.0 program. And the results are as follows. According to the result of the factor analysis, the preference of processed foods were showed 3.21~3.97. There were significant differences in milk and milk products preference according to health concern (p<0.05). Also frequency of processed foods was shown significant differences in milk and milk products, noodles, beverage, and fast food (p<0.05), whereas no significant differences were found in meat products, snack, bread and frozen food (p>0.05). Also, the processed food purchase consideration according to health concern was shown significant differences in nutrition, origin, manufacturing company (p<0.05), whereas no significant differences were found in taste, price, exterior, brand, and shelf life (p>0.05). Thus, it is necessary to do continuing public relations and to provide more opportunities for nutrition education so that the University students may obtain right dietary behavior on processed foods and the system of food nutrition indication be established properly.

        This study aimed to examine the health-related lifestyle habits and eating behaviors according to gender, ethnicity, and residence type of university students in Yanbian, China. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 302 university students. Of the male students, 12.1% and 42.0% were in the underweight and overweight groups, respectively, and of the female subjects, 21.3% and 16.3%, were in those respective groups. More male than female students preferred the overweight body somatotype. In contrast, about 49.4% of female students were hoping to be underweight, and female students had more obvious difficulties with body somatotype perception, whereas their exercise frequency and time spent exercising per day were much less than those of male students. More Chinese than Korean-Chinese subjects exhibited regular eating habits, which included eating at the same time everyday and at the same frequency per day; these habits were, accompanied by generally healthier lifestyle habits regarding regularity of activity and exercise time. Self-boarding students had a significantly higher BMI (23.7±5.1 kg/m2) and were more likely to be overweight (43.5%) as compared to students who lived in a dormitory or with family. Salty taste was preferred by Chinese students more than Korean-Chinese students, and greasy taste was preferred by Korean-Chinese students as compared with Chinese students. This study found that inherent and environmental factors are related with the dietary behaviors of university students in Yanbian, China. Further studies are required to elucidate the structural elements of family life and the sociocultural factors associated with dietary behaviors in Yanbian.

        The purpose of this study is to explore changes in university students’ self-directed learning attitude through the implementation of self-assessment in a classroom setting. The current study adopted Guglielmino’s (1977) characteristics to investigate changes in students’ self-directed learning attitude over time: self-directedness, responsibility, creativity, and problem-solving. A class of 24 students enrolled in Current English Practice was observed for 15 weeks, where four self-assessment sessions were administered. After mid-term exam, a questionnaire was conducted to find out whether self-assessment helped students with their self-directed learning attitude. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with four students of a group regarding possible changes in self-directed learning attitude through self-assessment in the course of time. The findings are as follows. First, the results of the survey indicated that students felt positive changes in those four characteristics of self-directed learning attitude by the implementation of self-assessment in the classroom. Second, the analysis of in-depth interviews supported the findings of the questionnaire that self-assessment provided students with opportunities to strengthen their self-directed learning attitude. However, there is a research limitation that the impact of self-assessment cannot be singled out because of the flipped learning method in class.

        This research study was conducted to explore the association between consumer attitudes and adoption of mobile payment in South Africa. Students of University of Witwatersrand were interviewed to identify their attitudes regarding usefulness, ease of use and risk. The results revealed majority of consumers found mobile payment systems as convenient and saved significant amount of time. Consumer perception of usefulness was found to be significantly associated with adoption. Perceived risk was weakly associated with adoption and perceived ease of use was not associated with adoption. However, introduction of income to moderate the effects of perceived ease of use led to significant positive association with adoption. Similarly when awareness was introduced to moderate the influence of perceived risk, the interaction had a significant positive association with adoption. The outcome of study resulted in improve understanding of consumer adoption of MPS in South Africa.

        neighbors separated by a narrow strip of water, China and Japan have periodic rises and falls in their diplomatic relationship, but there are many things the two countries share in common. China experienced great social upheaval and Japan went through World War II, but despite these different historical traumas, both resolved to assign priority to economic development. Yet how will the dramatic social changes and the fading away of tradition affect the Chinese and Japanese people, especially the thought and values of their young people. Amid dramatic social changes and turbulence in values, what are the characteristics of their young people’s attitudes and behavior? Focusing on such problems, the author of this paper spent four years carrying out indepth investigations and research on college students’ understanding of nature, ecological and environmental issues, etc. The college students in this study came from nearly 20 universities in Japan and 20 universities in China. This paper will undertake a detailed comparative analysis of the ideological and value orientations of young people in China and Japan.

        목 적: McMonnies 설문과 OSDI 설문을 통하여 건성안여부를 확인하고, 건성안에 영향을 미치는 환경적 요인들을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 건성안이 삶의 질(WHOQOL-BREF)에 미치는 영향을 확인함으로써 건성안 과 삶의 질과의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법: 2016년 3월부터 2016년 4월까지 충남지역 대학교 학생 490명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문을 실 시하였다. 총 490부를 배포하여 불성실하게 응답한 4부를 제외한 486부를 분석에 이용하였다. 결 과: 설문에 응답한 인원 486명 중 건성안은 McMonnies 설문결과 149명이었고, OSDI 설문결과 119 명이었다. OSDI 와 McMonnies 설문에 모두 포함되는 건성안은 62명이었다. McMonnies에서 분류된 건성 안 대상자의 삶의 질은 신체적 건강 영역과 심리적 영역, 환경적 영역에서 부적 상관을 나타내었다. OSDI에 서 분류된 건성안의 삶의 질은 전반적인 건강 영역, 신체적 건강 영역, 심리적 영역, 사회적 관계 영역, 환경 영역에서 부적 상관을 나타내었다. McMonnies와 OSDI 설문 모두에 해당되는 건성안의 삶의 질은 사회적 관계 영역을 제외한 전반적인 건강 영역, 신체적 건강 영역, 심리적 영역, 환경 영역에서 각각 6.23, 21.24, 19.23, 25.68로 정상안 보다 낮았으며 통계적으로 유의하였다. 결 론: 건성안이 전반적인 영역에서 삶의 질의 저하를 일으킬 수 있음을 인식하고 건성안 치료에 있어서 신체적인 영역을 넘어 심리적, 사회적, 환경적 문제에도 관심이 필요할 것이다.

        목 적: 본 연구의 목적은 최근 시력검사와 조제가공, 그리고 제품의 차별화를 기반으로 다양한 형태의 안경원이 탄생하고 있는 경영환경에서 안경원의 관계효익과 경북지역 20대 대학생의 고객가치가 어떠한 관 계를 나타내는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 방 법: 본 연구는 안경원에서 안경테, 안경렌즈, C/L를 구입하였던 217명의 20대 대학생들을 대상으로 설문조사하고 그 데이터를 분석하였다. 데이터 분석은 SPSS 18.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 요인 분석, 회귀분석을 실시하여 안경원의 관계효익과 고객가치에 관한 연구 가설을 검증하였다. 결 과: 첫째, 관계효익 중 경제적효익이 가격가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 관계효익의 네 요인, 즉 경제적효익, 고객화효익, 사회적효익, 심리적효익이 모두 품질가치에 미약하지만 긍정적인 영향을 미치 는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 관계효익 중 경제적효익이 사회적가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 넷째, 관계효 익 중 사회적효익이 감정적가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결 론: 본 연구에서는 안경원의 관계효익 중에서 경제적효익이 가격가치와 사회적가치에 중요한 역할을 하는 것과 관계효익의 네 요인이 고객의 품질가치에 약하지만 고르게 영향을 주는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 사 회적효익은 감정적가치에 영향을 미치므로 안경원 경영자는 고객에게 제공되는 경제적효익을 개발하는 노력 뿐만 아니라 안경원을 지속적으로 이용함으로써 획득하게 되는 사회적효익을 높이고 고객이 인식하는 다양 한 가치를 개발하기위한 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the dietary life status according to smart device use among university students. In 2015, data was collected during a 3 month survey of the eating behaviors, lifestyles, eating habits, and use of smart devices of 550 university students, as well as their dependency on smartphones. Ultimately, 520 subjects (94.5% analysis rate) were divided into three groups based on their daily use time of smart device: low-use group (<4.7 hours, n=173), medium-use group (≥4.7 hours and <6.4 hours, n=174), and high-use group (≥6.4 hours, n=173). The more frequent use groups showed a higher level of dependency on the smartphone. Breakfast was found to be the most commonly skipped meal; and the high-use group showed a higher response of irregular meals than low-use group. In assessment of eating habits, the subjects with less smart device usage ate more regularly and at fixed times, did not overeat, drank milk everyday, and did not consume processed food as often. To sum up, more irregularity of meal and undesirable eating habits were found among university students with higher use of smart devices. These results suggest that a control of smart device usage would lead to a more desirable dietary life in university students.

        목 적: 본 연구의 목적은 급격하게 변화하는 안경원의 경영 환경에서 경북지역 20대 대학생들의 안경원 의 환경에 대한 인식과 구매 후 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 대한 성향을 분석하고, 안경원의 환경과 경험적 쇼핑가 치 간의 관계를 설명하고, 이용 형태와 구매 활동에 따라 안경원 환경과 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 대한 인식이 차 이가 있는지를 확인하는 것 이었다. 방 법: 본 연구는 안경원에서 안경, 콘택트렌즈, 썬글라스 등을 구매했던 경험이 있는 20대 대학생들을 대상으로 설문조사하고 그 데이터를 분석 하였다. 데이터 분석은 SPSS 18.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도 분석, 요인분석, 회귀분석을 실시하여 안경원의 환경과 소비자가 지각하는 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 대한 연구가 설과 유형에 따른 점포환경과 경험적 쇼핑가치 간의 관계에 대하여 연구가설을 검증하였다. 결 과: 첫째, 일반 안경원의 이용 형태가 체인 안경원보다 높았으며, 많은 학생들이 안경과 콘택트렌즈를 각각 구입하였다. 둘째, 안경원의 환경은 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 유의한 영향을 주었으며, 특히 안경원의 매력 성과 상품의 다양성이 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 많은 영향을 미치고 안경원의 환경은 쾌락적 체험에 영향을 받았 다. 셋째, 체인 안경원을 이용하는 소비자들이 안경원의 환경에 더 많은 영향을 받았고 일반 안경원을 이용 하는 소비자들은 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 결 론: 본 연구에서는 안경원의 환경이 경험적 쇼핑 가치에 영향을 미치며, 일반 안경원과 체인 안경원에 따라 안경원의 환경과 경험적 쇼핑가치가 차이가 있는 것을 발견하였다. 따라서 최근의 소비 경향에 따라 안 경원의 매력성과 제품의 다양성, 그리고 쾌락적 체험을 높이기 위한 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate university students’ perceptions on their English conversation classes taught by native English speakers. Its focus is on finding out how well the students understand and how actively they participate in class, what causes difficulty in their understanding or participation in class, and whether their class helps them in terms of affective aspects and English skills. A survey was conducted on a total of 465 university students in Korea, and the collected data were analyzed to compute basic descriptive and inferential statistics. Some of the important findings are 1) over 50% of the students understand their classes well; 2) a little over 30% actively participate in class; 3) about 30~50% of the students perceive their class help them affectively; and 4) about 50% of the students perceive their class help them improve their English skills in general. These results are discussed along with other findings related to the causes of the difficulties that the students experienced. Suggestions are provided on the basis of the results and their implications.
