        본 시험은 효소제 및 효모추출물 급여가 사양성적, in vitro 반추위 발효 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해 23개월령의 한우 거세우 48두를 공시하여 사료용 첨가제로 농후사료의 0.1% 수준으로 급여하여 출하시까지 대조구(무첨가), 처리구 1(효소제), 처리구 2(효모추출물), 처리구 3(효소제+효모추출물)으로 구분하여 급여하였다. 사양성적에서는 급여 4개월과 8개월의 일당증체량과 사료요구율이 처리구 1에서 가장 향상되었고 (p<0.05), 대조구에서 가장 낮았다(p<0.05). 도축성적에서는 육량지수를 포함하여 처리구 1>처리구 3>처리구 2>대조구 순으로 나타났다. in vitro 배양액에 따른 처리구별 pH는 대조구>처리구 2>처리구 3>처리구 1 순으로 유의적(p<0.05)인 차이를 나타냈고, VFA와 사료소화율은 처리구 1과 3에서 높았고 (p<0.05), 대조구에서는 낮았다(p<0.05). 혈액성상에서는 면역 첨가제 급여군인 처리구 2와 3에서 급여기간에 따른 백혈구 수치가 유의적(p<0.05)으로 감소하였는데, 이는 면역글로블린 G의 유의적(p<0.05)인증가에 따라서 상대적으로 나타난 것으로 판단된다. 결과적으로, 한우 비육후기 거세우의 사료첨가제 급여 시험에서 처리구 1은 급여 4개월부터 대조구 대비 사양성적 및 도체성적을 향상시켰고, 처리구 2는 급여 2개월부터 면역에 관련된 면역글로블린 G의 혈액성상을 개선시키는 것으로 분석되었다.

        This experiment was conducted to investigate effect of brine mineral water (BMW) on growth performance and properties of blood in weaning pigs. Treatments allotted were 0% (general water), 2%, 3% and 5% BMW. In growth trial, a total of 36 weaning pig barrows [(Landrace×Yorkshire)×Duroc] weaned after 21 days with an average initial weight of 5.38±0.89 kg were used. Each treatment had 3 replications of 3 pigs per pen in a randomized complete block design. Weaning pigs were investigated for growth performance, complete blood corpuscle count and blood biochemical assay. In results, growth performance of 2% and 3% treatment groups were significantly higher than other groups (p<0.05). In addition, high density lipoprotein cholesterol was significantly (p<0.05) higher in 2% group than other treatment groups. On the other hand, mean corpuscular volume of supplement of BMW treatment groups were significantly (p<0.05) increased than control. Therefore, this study suggests that supplementation of BMW could improve growth performance and level of red blood cell in weaning pigs.

        본 연구는 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 랫드에서 파리유충 에탄올추출물(Ethanolic extract of fly maggot, EM)의 경구투여가 혈액 지질감소에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Sprague-Dawley 수컷 랫드를 이용하여 4 처리구(EM 투여량; 대조군=0, 5.0, 7.0, 9.0 mg/100 g 체중)로 구분해서 6주 동안 진행하였다. EM 투여군은 대조군과 비교할 때 혈청 중성지방, 총콜레스테롤, LDL-C가 유의하게 낮았다 (p<0.05). HMG-CoA reductase activity는 대조군과 비교할 때 EM 투여군에서 낮았으나 총스테롤, 중성스테롤 및 담즙산 배설량은 EM 투여군에서 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). EM의 혈액 콜레스테롤 감소와 관련한 생물학적 작용기작을 규명하기 위해서 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 랫드에서 유도된 생체유전자 sterol response element binding proteins (SREBPs) 및 the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARα) 발현을 측정하였다. EM은 고콜레스테롤 식이를 공급받은 랫드의 간에서 SREBP-1α, SREBP-2 mRNA 발현을 억압함과 동시에 PPARα mRNA 발현을 촉진시키는 것으로 나타났다 (p<0.05). 본 연구의 결과는 파리유충 에탄올추출물이 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 랫드에서 지질대사와 관련한 생화학적 매개변수 및 유전자발현 조절을 통하여 혈액 콜레스테롤을 낮춘다는 새로운 사실을 발견하였다.

        This experiment evaluated the interaction effect of extreme heat diet(EHD), inverse lighting, and cool water on the growth performance of broiler chickens under extreme heat stress. There were 4 experimental groups (T1: EHD 1, 10:00-19:00 dark, 19:00-10:00 light, cold water 9℃; T2: EHD 2, 10:00-19:00 dark, 19:00-10:00 light, cold water 9℃; T3: EHD 1, 09:00-18:00 dark, 18:00-09:00 light, cold water 14℃; T4: EHD 2, 09:00-18:00 dark, 18:00-09:00 light, cold water 14℃), each group composed of 25 broilers and the experiment was repeated 3 times. EHD 1 contained soybean oil, molasses, methionine and lysine. EHD 2 contained all nutrients of EHD 1 and vitamin C additionally. As a result, T1 and T2 displayed higher body weight increase and diet intake compared to T3 and T4 (p<0.05). The weights of their liver and gizzard were similar but the weights of the thymus and bursa F were higher for T1 and T2 compared to that of T3 and T4 (p<0.05). It was observed that T1 and T2 displayed higher concentrations of blood triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-C and blood sugar compared to that of T3 and T4 but LDL-C level was higher for T3 and T4 compared to that of T1 and T2 (p<0.05). T1 and T2 displayed higher levels of immunity substances such as IgG, IgA and IgM compared to T3 and T4 but the blood level of corticosterone displayed to be lower for T1 and T2 compared to T3 and T4 (p<0.05). The T1 and T2 contained a higher amount of fecal lactobacillus compared to that of T3 and T4 but the T3 and T4 contained a higher amount of fecal E. coli, total aerobic bacteria, coliform bacteria compared o that of T1 and T2 (p<0.05). T1 and T2 displayed higher concentrations of cecal acetic acid, ropionic acid and total short chain fatty acids compared to T3 and T4 but T3 and T4 displayed igher concentrations of butyric acid, isobutyric acid, valeric acid and isovaleric acid compared to T1 and T2 (p<0.05). These results have been observed that broiler chickens exposed to extreme eat stress with feeding EHD, inverse lighting and cold water would improve blood lipid, and elevate the production of immunity substance, beneficial microorganisms, and short chain fatty acids. This provision would also reduce the blood sugar consumption rate as energy sources and these effects will improve the growth performance of the broilers exposed to extreme heat.

        Heavy metals such as cadmium and mercury are a highly toxic metal that affects a variety of cellular events, such as cell proliferation, differentiation and survival in animals as well as in human. The exposed heavy metals significantly affected the development and health in pubertal period. However, it is not clear how the toxicity of heavy metals in pubertal affects comparing in adults. To determine the effects of heavy metals on pubertal and adults, heavy metals such as cadmium and mercury were exposed to in pubertal and adults mice for 48 and 72h. Results showed that mice exposed to heavy metals for several hours induced overall tissue and organ damage. Especially, blood vessels of the most organ were more increased in adult mice compared to pubertal mice. And for morphologic alteration, secretary organs such as salivary gland and kidney were affected the most. Taken together, exposing to heavy metal in mice altered the blood vessels. In addition, the adverse effects of cadmium and mercury were more severe in adult mouse than puberty mouse. Further study is needed to focus on endothelial cells for more precise its mechanism

        This study was conducted in order to determine the functionality of mineral-rich salt with lower NaCl and higher mineral contents on blood pressure and lipid metabolism in Dahl salt-sensitive rats. A 1% salt solution was administered to five-week-old male Dahl rats– one normal and three salt groups (Purified salt, sun-dried salt, and bamboo salt) for 15 weeks. On the basis of the salt production process, the sun-dried group was classified into two subgroups: SS1 (2-year) and SS2 (>5-year) depending on the storage period of the mineral-rich salt. The relationships between salt intake and changes in blood pressure, serum lipids, and serum mineral concentrations were then examined. The results showed that intake of SS2, which is stored for five years, and BS (bamboo salt) resulted in continuous delay of the increase in blood pressure and inhibited angiotensin–converting enzyme (ACE) activity. In addition, a significant decrease in the triglyceride level in serum lipids of approximately 30% was observed in the SS2 group compared to the PS (purified salt) group. However, all salt intake groups showed an increase in total cholesterol levels compared to the normal group. The results demonstrate that intake of mineral-rich salt is beneficial for the human body and results in reduced blood pressure and triglyceride levels in serum lipids, however, conduct of more research will be needed in order to explore other functions.

        In the present numerical study, simple stenotic artery models using pulsatile flow condition were investigated. A reversing sinusoidal velocity for pulsatile flow was imposed at the flow inlet and the corresponding based on the vessel radius. The stenotic geometries modeled using mechanical 3D CAD. It has been used that consist of 0.2, 0.4, 0.5 0.75 and 0.8 stenotic rate in a cylindrical tube. In this paper, numerical solutions are presented for a second harmonic oscillatory flow using commercial code CFX 14. As stenosis rate increases, the maximum wall shear stress(WSS) increases while the minimum WSS decreases. As the stenotic rate increases, the pressure drop at the throat severely decreases to collapse the artery and plaque. It is found that the fluid mechanical disturbances due to the constriction were highly sensitive with rate of stenosis. When stenosis rate increases, the recirculation region exists. In this recirculation region the possibility of plaque attachment is increasingly higher. The present results enhance our understanding of the hemodynamics of a stenotic artery.

        오늘날 현대인들의 식생활방식 중 과다한 열량의 영양소 섭취로 인하여 초래되는 비만의 유발 원인 중의 하나로 알려진 고지혈증(hyperlipidemia)에 대한 예방효과가 있는 것으로 알려진 전통방식으로 제조된 고추장의 생리활성 기능성 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 실험동물로서 Sprague-Dawley(SD)-Rat에 대해서 고추장 추출물의 건강증진 효과에 대해서 실험동물을 사용하여 직접 확인하고 시도하였다. 실험군은 실험동물용 일반사료만을 먹인 음성대조군 그룹(N-group)과 일반사료와 고추장 추출물을 동시에 먹인 시험그룹(K-group) 그리고 양성대조군으로 고콜레스테롤 사료만을 먹인 그룹(H-group)으로 구분하여 5주간 사육하면서 건강증진효과의 발현에 대해서 분석하 였다. 3그룹의 실험동물을 5주간의 사육 후 해부했을 때 H-group의 모든 동물(100%)에서 공통적으로 심한 지방간 (fatty liver) 소견이 관찰되었으나, N-group이나 K-group의 어떠한 동물에서도 지방간 소견은 관찰되지 않았다. 한편, 실험동물의 혈장성분에 대한 혈액생화학적 성적의 비교에서는 고지혈증의 예방에 유익한 성분으로 알려진 HDL의 경우, 고추장 추출물 투여 그룹(25±8.43 ㎎/㎗)은 H-group(22.6±4.16) 보다 다소간 상승된 수치를 보였으나, 특히 고지혈 증을 악화시키는 원인으로 알려진 LDL 경우에는 H-group (55.8± 44.8 ㎎/㎗)이 고추장 추출물 투여 그룹(8.6±1.52 ㎎/㎗)과 음성대조군인 N-group(9.8±2.39)의 성적보다도 유의적으로 높은 수치를 나타냈다. 결과적으로 이 연구에서 SD-Rat에 투여했던 고추장 추출물은 실험동물에서 건강기능 개선효과의 하나인 저지방혈증 효과를 발현한 것으로 사료되었다.

        본 연구는 다양한 수준의 셀레늄 강화 청보리 사일리지 와 무기셀레늄을 급여 시 비육기 거세한우의 생산성, 혈액 성상, 도체특성 및 조직 내 셀레늄 축적에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 시험은 거세비육우 20두를 공시하였고, 처리구 는 셀레늄 수준에 따라 0.1 ppm Se(대조구), 0.3 ppm Se (T1), 0.9 ppm Se (T2) 및 무기셀레늄 0.9 ppm Se (T3) 급 여구로 4처리를 나누어 처리구 구당 5두씩 완전임의 배치 하여 90일간 사양시험을 실시하였다. 각 시험사료는 셀레 늄 강화 및 셀레늄 무처리 관행 청보리 사일리지를 조합하 여 건물기준 30% 함유하도록 배합하였다. 실험사료 내에 셀레늄 강화수준은 사료섭취량과 증체에 영향을 미치지 않 았고, 혈중 총 지질과 중성지방농도는 대조구보다 T2구가 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). 혈중 면역글로불린은 셀레늄함유 량이 많을수록 높게 나타나 T2와 T3구가 대조구보다 유의 하게 높았다(p<0.05). 혈중 셀레늄농도는 유기태 셀레늄을 0.9 ppm 급여한 T2구가 가장 높았다(p<0.05). 도체율, 배최 장근, 등지방두께, 근내지방도, 육색 및 지방색은 셀레늄급 여로 인한 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 또한, 사료 내 셀레늄 수준 및 형태는 육질 및 육량등급 간에 관련성이 형성되지 않았다. 신장, 간장 및 후지 내 셀레늄 함량은 사료 내 셀 레늄 강화수준이 증가함에 따라 유의하게 직선적으로 증가 하였고(p<0.05), 무기셀레늄급여는 대조구와 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않아, 조직 내 셀레늄함량 증가에 도움이 되지 않았다(p>0.05). 이상의 결과에서 셀레늄 강화 청보리 사일 리지 내 존재하는 셀레늄은 조직 내 셀레늄함량을 증가시 키기에 유효한 셀레늄급원인 것으로 나타났고, 셀레늄 강 화 청보리 최고수준(0.9 ppm Se)으로 급여하여 생산된 한 우 후지육 100 g에 함유되어 있는 셀레늄은 성인기준 1일 최소 셀레늄 권장량(40 ㎍)의 약 69%를 충족시키는 것으로 조사되었다.

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of enzyme and yeast extract supplement on growth performance, carcass characteristics and blood parameters in Hanwoo steers. A total of forty-eight 23-month-old Hanwoo steers, with average initial body weight of 545.25±12.60 kg, were assigned to four treatments with three replicates in a completely randomized design. Hanwoo steers housed in four heads group per pen. The treatments comprised of four groups of control (no feed additives), treatment 1 (xylanase, cellulase, and gluco-amylase; 0.1%/concentrate), treatment 2 (β-glucan and mannan-oligosaccharide; 0.1%/concentrate), and treatment 3 (treatment 1+2; 0.1%/concentrate). During the fourth and eighth month, average daily gain and feed conversion rates improved in treatment 1, but in the control this was lower than the other treatments (p<0.05). Real-time ultrasound was used for measuring the live carcass traits (longissimus muscle area, back fat thickness, and marbling score) and the better results were in the following order: treatment 1 > treatment 3 > treatment 2 > control, and extended to carcass grade. White blood cell indices were lower in treatments 2 and 3 and the IgG indices were relatively higher than in other treatments.         Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of debriefing learning using peer feedback after blood transfusion nursing simulation practice. Methods: This study is a mixed method research to investigate the effect of debriefing using peer feedback on learning. The subjects of this study were third-year nursing students, and 23 of them were allocated to the control group and 19 to the experimental group. The experimental treatment was performed for about three hours, and the debriefing using peer feedback was not performed with the control group. The effect of the debriefing was measured in terms of the knowledge, attitude, and confidence in the performance with regard to blood transfusion nursing. The qualitative data about cognitive learning experience during the debriefing were analyzed. The quantitative data were analyzed by a t-test, a x² test, and a paired t-test by using IBM Statistics SPSS 19.0 software. Results: The results showed that the knowledge was significantly increased in both the control group and the experimental group (paired t=-6.411, p<.001; paired t=-5.759, p<.001), that the attitude toward the blood transfusion nursing was not significantly changed in both groups (paired t=-0.639, p=.530; paired t=-0.631, p=.536), and that the confidence in the performance was significantly increased in both groups (paired t=-5.124, p<.001; paired t=-4.747, p<.001). The qualitative data analysis of the cognitive learning experience during the debriefing showed that the content was divided into four subjects: “My errors are clearly seen as I reflect on myself,” “I can understand how to say and perform,” “I could make the knowledge my own by reviewing what I have done,” and “I could have see the big picture of nursing skills.” Conclusion:. The results of this study showed that the debriefing using peer feedback after the simulation had the learning effects of repeated learning and experiential learning of specific nursing skill, indicating that it is a useful education tool in nursing education.

        동맥경화 상태에서는 혈관이 수축물질에 예민하게 반응 함으로써 혈압의 급격한 변화에 대한 회복능력이 저하한다. 한편 뽕나무 잎에는 고지방식의 섭취로 인해 발생하는 동맥경화증의 발달을 감소시킬 가능성이 있는 여러 물질이 있다고 추정된다. 뽕나무 잎을 백서에 투여하면 고지 방식에 의해 유발된 혈관이 예민해지는 현상을 감소시킬 수 있는지 시험하기 위하여 고지방식 및 뽕나무잎을 8주 간 투여하고 혈관수축 물질에 대한 혈압의 반응성을 시험 하였다. 순환기반사에 따른 혈압반응 감수성차이를 최소화 할 목적으로 동물의 중추신경계를 파괴(pithing)하고 시험 하였다. 고콜레스테롤을 함유한 식이를 공급한 백서에서 교감신경계 전기자극이나 norepinephrine, phenylephrine, angiotensin II 및 vasopressin 등의 투여로 유발된 혈압상승반응이 증강되었으며, 사료에 뽕잎을 2% 또는 10% 첨 가하면 정상적인 혈압상승반응을 보여주었다. 교감신경계를 파괴하지 않은 채 마취만 한 백서에서는 고콜레스테롤에 의한 반응증강이나 뽕잎에 의한 변화를 관찰할 수 없었다. 이 결과로 부터 뽕잎이 동맥경화에서 나타나는 혈관반응성 변화를 방지하는 데 유용한 것으로 판단할 수 있을 것이다.

        Mycotoxins such as aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), ochratoxin A (OTA) and zearalenone (ZEA) are widespread contaminants of food and feedstuffs. It is very likely, that humans and animals are always exposed to mixtures of mycotoxins rather than to individual compounds. Therefore, risk assessments should consider mixture toxicity data. In the present study the combination of AFB1, OTA and ZEA was tested for genotoxicity in rat bone marrow and blood leukocytes after 15, 30 and 60 days treatment. The level of DNA damage was determined by the comet assay. The tail intensity and Olive tail moment in leukocytes and bone marrow cells were significantly higher than in controls. At the same time, the level of DNA damage in bone marrow cells was higher than in leukocytes. The data suggests that prolonged exposure to mycotoxins combination through food consumption can induce DNA damage contributing to the harmful effects in vivo.

        This study was carried out to investigate the effects of feeding the broilers that are exposed to extreme heat stress by control of inverse lighting times with night restricted feeding of extreme heat diet(EHD1, 2: extreme heat diet) containing different amount of soy oil, molasses, amino acids and vitamin C on short chain fatty acid and blood lipid profile. 300 broiler chickens(Abaica strain) were randomized into four dietary treatment groups according to a randomized block design on the day they were hatched. The four dietary treatment groups were: T1(EHD 1, 10:00~19:00 Dark, 19:00〜10:00 Light), T2(EHD 2, 10:00〜19:00 Dark, 19:00〜 10:00 Light), T3(EHD 1, 09:00〜18:00 Dark, 18:00〜09:00 Light), T4(EHD 2, 09:00〜18:00 Dark, 18:00~09:00 Light). The body weight gain of the broilers was highest in T2, and high in order T1, T4, T3(p<0.05). Weights of the lymphoid organ, thymus and bursa of Fabricius were high in T1, T2 as compared to T3, T4 but spleen was lower in T4 than T1, T2, T3(p<0.05). Blood triglyceride, total cholesterol and glucose were higher in T1, T2 than T3, T4(p<0.05). LDL-C was high in orderT4, T3, T2, T1 but HDL-C showed the opposite trend(p<0.05). Blood concentrations of IgG, IgG and IgM were higher in T1, T2 than inT3, T4, but the corticosterone concentration decreased significantly in them. In T1 and T2, Lactobacillus in the feces increased, but total aerobic bacteria, E.coli, coliform bacteria was decreased rather significantly, compared with those in T3 and T4(p<0.05). Concentrations of acetic acid, propionic acid and total SCFA in cecum were high in order T2, T1, T3, T4, but butyric acid, isobutyric acid, valeric acid, isovaleric acid were lower in T1, T2 than in T3, T4 (p<0.05).

        An experiment was conducted to study effects of abomasal infusions of casein, glucose or starch on milk production and blood metabolites in dairy cows. Four lactating cows (559±41.9kg) fitted with 100 mm ruminal cannulas were used in a 4 × 4 Latin square experiment. The cows were given access ad libitum to grass silage and received 6.2 kg dry matter (DM) of a mixture of rapeseed meal (5.3kg/d DM) and barley grain (0.9kg/d DM) as a basal diet (CON), the basal diet plus intra-abomasal infusions of 270 g sodium caseinate (CAS), 300 g of glucose (GLU) or 243 g of starch (STA) starting at 09:00 h each day. Abomasal infusion of different nutrients did not affect (p>0.05) grass silage intake and rumen fermentation parameters (rumen pH, ammonia N and volatile fatty acids). As unexpected, milk yield and composition data did not differ between CON and the treated groups (p>0.05). Most of plasma amino acids were not significantly (p>0.05) affected by the abomasal infusions of CAS, GLU or STA except for histidine, tryptophan and glycine. Although histidine, known as the first limiting amino acid in dairy cows fed grass silage based diets, was significantly (p=0.003) increased by CAS, we failed to result in a clear increase in milk yield and protein yield. This discrepancy between plasma AA profiles and milk production could be presumably explained by relatively high concentration of total amino acids in the present study (2,039μmol/l).

        혈액 속의 글루코우즈의 농도를 측정하기 위해 포스파젠 고분자로 만들어진 진단막을 제조하였다. 혈액 속에 존재할 가능성이 있는 장애성분들이 글루코우즈의 농도측정에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 그러한 물질들 중, ascorbic acid (AA)는 기준 플라즈마 용액보다 3~9% 정도 높은 K/S 결과치를 나타내었고, tolbutamide (TA)는 기준용액보다 11~13% 정 도 낮은 K/S 결과치를 나타내었고, triglycerides와 bovine serum albumin (BSA)은 기준용액 보다 20~25% 정도 낮은 K/S 결과치를 나타내었다. 그러나 위의 물질들을 제외하고는 대부분의 장애성분들이 포스파젠 고분자 진단막을 이용한 혈당측정에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는다는 것을 보여 주었다.
