        차선을 벗어난 승용차가 기초에 강결된 표지판 지주에 충돌할 경우 차량이 받는 충격과 변형은 탑승자의 안전을 위협하게 되므로 분리지주를 쓰는 것이 일반적이다. 국도에서 1200mm×1200mm의 단일노선표지에 사용되는 직경 101.6mm, 두께 4.0mm의 강관지주가 기초에 강결되었을 때와 Clip형 분리장치를 갖는 경우에 대한 820kg-50kg-정면 충돌 시 차량과 지주의 거동을 LS-DYNA 시뮬레이션을 통하여 비교 분석하였다. 분리식 지주 충돌 시뮬레이션 결과는 동일한 조건의 충돌실험 결과와 비교하여 신뢰도를 높였다. 강결된 원형지주에 대한 충돌 시뮬레이션 결과 탑승자 안전지수(THIV, PHD)와 차량의 변위가 탑승자의 안전을 위협하는 수준으로 나타났으나 Clip형 분리장치를 갖는 지주에 대한 충돌 시뮬레이션 결과 충돌 시 지주의 분리로 감속도가 현저히 줄어들어 안전한 것으로 확인되었다.

        The purpose of this study was to measure intra-rater and inter-rater reliability and range of motion for measurement of passive shoulder internal rotation range of motion and to compare anterior glide distance of humeral head in three methods. Fifty healthy subjects and fifty patients with shoulder musculoskeletal pain were recruited for this study. The subjects' passive shoulder internal rotation range of motion was measured by visual estimation, manual stabilization, and pressure biofeedback unit methods. In two trials, measurements were performed on each subject by two examiners. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC(3,1)) was used to determine the reliability of each measurement. The intra-rater reliability of the three methods was excellent (ICC=.77~.93) in both groups. The inter-rater reliability of the visual estimation method was poor (ICC=.20, .29), the manual scapular stabilization method was poor and fair (ICC=.09, .50), and the pressure biofeedback unit method was excellent (ICC .86, .75) in the experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, the difference of examined range of motion by each examiner was significant in the visual estimation method and manual scapular stabilization method, but there was an insignificant difference between the groups is the pressure biofeedback unit method. This result suggests that the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of a pressure biofeedback unit was better than the other methods. The difference in distance of the anterior glide of humeral head was insignificant among all the methods. The pressure biofeedback unit method was the most reliable method, so it is proposed to be a new and reliable method to measure internal rotation range of motion.

        Domestic SUV were evaluated for rating the ability of seat and head restraints to prevent neck injury in low speed rear-end crashes. The dynamic test criteria are divided into two groups-seat design parameters(Initial evaluation) and test dummy response parameters(Dynamic evaluation). Head restraint designs with initial geometric ratings of “acceptable" or “good" will be tested in a simulated 16 km/h rear impact to assess whether they provide effective dynamic support for the torso, neck and head. In the measurement and rating of static head restraint geometry, the initial static geometric rating of the domestic SUV cars were “good" except the A-car. In the final rating of the seat and head restraints, W-Car was “good", the other cars were “poor". The performance of dynamic test for the most part of the domestic SUV cars were “poor" and it is necessary to improve.

        The human embryonic-lethal abnormal vision-like protein, HuR, stabilizes mRNA containing adenine- and uridine- rich elements in their 3’untranslated region. Because cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) mRNA is a cellular transcript that contains an adenine- and uridine-rich element, it can be regulated by the HuR protein. In this study, we examined the relationship between COX-2, HuR, MVD, and the clinicopathological parameters. Nineteen out of 43 cases of HNSCC showed high level of COX-2expression, and 68% of these patients showed high COX-2 immuno-reactivity indicating the strong expression of the cytoplasmic HuR protein. Also, MVD expression in the cases with high COX-2 expression was higher than in the cases with low COX-2 expression. These results suggest a strong correlation between the overexpression of cytoplasmic HuR and COX-2 expression in HNSCC, and that COX-2 is associated with MVD in HNSCC. In conclusion, COX-2 regulated by cytoplasmic HuR may be a good tumor angiogenic factor in HNSCC.

        목적 : 본 연구는 머리 각도에 따른 목뿔위근육의 활성 정도를 확인하여 임상에서 삼킴 기능 증진을 위한 치료적 적용시 목뿔위근육들이 보다 활성화 되는 자세를 확인하고 이를 치료에 적용하기 위하여 시행되었다. 연구 방법 : 대전광역시 OO대학교에 재학중인 학생들을 대상으로 실험참가 대상자들을 모집하여, 지원자 중 무작위로 39명의 학생(남 24명, 여 15명)들을 선정하여 실험을 진행하였다. 프랑크포트 수평면이 지면과 수평이 되는 각도를 기준으로 머리각도 중립 자세(head flexion 0°)를 설정하였으며, 방사선 촬영을 통하여 머리각도 15°하방, 머리각도 15°상방 상태를 확인한 후, 각각의 상태(머리 중립 0°, 머리 굴곡 15°, 머리 신전 15°)에서 3회씩(1회 삼킴 후 10초 휴식) 마른 삼킴과 젖은 삼킴을 시도하였다. 결과 : 마른 삼킴과 젖은 삼킴 모두에서 중립시보다 머리 각도를 15°굴곡하였을 경우 목뿔위근육들이 보다 활성화되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이에 반하여 머리 각도를 15°신전하여 삼킴을 시도하였을 경우에는 통계적으로 유의할만한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 결론 : 머리를 굴곡시킨 자세에서 삼킴을 유도하는 것이 좀더 목뿔위근육을 활성화시키고 목뿔의 가동성을 높여, 보다 안전한 식이를 위한 방법으로 제안될 수 있을 것이다.

        To search for hyper-variable genetic markers that can distinguish regional populations of head lice, we screened the inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) based on the genome database of body louse, which is closely related conspecific species. An ISSR mining software, SciRoKo 3.4, was employed to excavate ISSR markers from the genome database under the MISA mode (≥ 60 bp repeats). Entire body louse genome (ca.100 Mb) was loaded to SciRoKo for ISSRs mining. A total of 5,336 ISSRs were obtained, and primers specific to individual ISSRs were designed by the Primer 3 and DesignPrimer 1.0 softwares. In order to prove the compatibility of body louse ISSRs to head lice, 31 PCR primers were randomly chosen out of a total of 613 pairs, and their appropriateness was tested by comparing the amplified PCR band patterns between body and head lice. Eleven primer pairs that resulted in poor or little amplification were excluded, and 20 primer pairs were further tested for three head louse populations (California, Panama and Chung-ju, Korea). Finally, nine primer pairs ensuring robust amplification of highly variable band patterns were selected to use for population genetic study of head lice.

        This study was conducted to investigate specific stages and distribution of overwintering nymphs of green rice leafhopper, Nephotettix cincticeps by measuring head capsule width. The nymphal head capsule width of the 1st instar to the 5th instar was 0.381, 0.502, 0.673, 0.979 and 1.128 ㎜, respectively. Its coefficient variation was 5.3, 4.0, 3.0, 4.5 and 5.3%, respectively. Growth ratio of each instar was not significantly different among 2nd to 4th instars as 1.31 to 1.34, but for the 5th instar it decreased as 1.28. The logarithm of the nymphal head capsule width was regressed as a function of the stage number of insects, resulting in LogY = 1.4627 + 0.1192X (r² = 0.9993). Also fitness to the Dyar’s law for the nymphal head capsule width of each instar was 98% or over and the Dyar’s constant (K) was 1.316. The occurrence of N. cincticeps was maximum at the end of January with 195 individuals/0.25 ㎡. The most abundant instar in the overwintering N. cincticeps population was 4th instar accounting for over 90%. Population of the 5th instar began to increase from mid-March, and adults began to occur in early April.

        Body lice (Pediculus humanus humanus), obligatory human ectopasites, differ from conspecific head lice (Pediculus humanus capitas) in the choice of habitat and the capacity of disease transmission. Only body lice are known to naturally transmit a variety of human diseases, including epidemic typhus, trench fever and relapsing fever. Such differences in vectoral capacity are expected to be due to their differences in immune responses during pathogen invasion. Here, we annotated 94 immune related genes from the body louse genome and determined the differences in the transcription profiling of immune related genes between the head and body lice by qrt-PCR. In general, head louse females showed more sensitive immune responses than body louse females to Staphylococcu. aureus dermal challenge as judged by selective induction of defensin 2 in head lice. In contrast, when the 3rd nymphs were orally challenged, body lice exhibited more sensitive immune responses than head louse to Escherichia coli as judged by selective induction of defensin 1 and PGRP in body lice. These stage- and pathogen-specific differences in immune responses should provide basic insight on the vector competencies in the head and body lice.

        I look at the images of Maud Gonne in Yeats's "Bronze Head." The bronze head is a sculpture made by Lawrence Campbell, which is in the Municipal Gallery of Modern Art, Dublin. When Yeats saw it, he must be shocked; she is old, and yet she looks "magnificent." In the bronze work, Yeats sees Maud Gonne as "human, superhuman," and "supernatural," as well. He puts down all that occurs to him, from the very first encounter, when "she walks like a goddess," not without wildness, though, to the image of Cathleen-like soul, to the image of her being supernatural with a sterner eye. All this enriching vision is made possible in this last poem of his; it is a conclusion to his poetry that is a history of a great heart craving for life for anther great heart; it is the best paean dedicated to a Goddess in his heart.

        Determining age distributions of insect is required for many basic ecological studies. Most of insect developmental studies, the head capsule width and other developmental traits have been widely used to distinguish the instars. Unlike to other insect species, collembolan continues to molt after they reach sexual maturity. So these traits sometimes make it difficult to conduct developmental studies. Model animal used in this study was Paranura rosea a native collembolan speciese. To determine the age groups of P. rosea, we periodically (1week) made digital images of P. rosea (over 100 different images) under the magnifier (DIMIS-M) for consecutive 20 week. And then the head capsule width and the surface area of P. rosea were analyzed using a image software (ImageJ). In this test the head capsule widths and surface area were set as developmental parameters. Both two developmental parameters showed time-dependent increase patterns. And they gave good agreements between predicted developmental parameters and observed parameters (r2=0.83 and 0.71). Based on the reproducibility of juveniles and statistical mean separation tests (tukey's test), both two developmental parameters could be divided into 3 age groups. The information given this study will be used as a basis for understanding the population dynamics and other ecological research.

        Amino acid transporters are essential for the growth and proliferation in all living cells. Among the amino acid transporters, the system L amino acid transporters are the major nutrient transport system responsible for the Na+-independent transport of neutral amino acids including several essential amino acids. The L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1), an isoform of system L amino acid transporter, is highly expressed in cancer cells to support their continuous growth and proliferation. 2-Aminobicyclo-(2,2,1)-heptane-2-carboxylic acid(BCH) is a model compound for study of amino acid transporter as a system L selective inhibitor. We have examined the effect and mechanism of BCH on cell growth suppression in FaDu human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The BCH inhibited the L-leucine transport in a concentration-dependent manner with a IC 50 value of 43.8±4.3μM. The majority of L-leucine uptake is, therefore, mediated by LAT1 in FaDu cells. The growth of FaDu cells was inhibited by BCH in the time- and concentration- dependent manners. The formation of DNA ladder was not observed with BCH treatment in the cells. Furthermore, the proteolytic processing of caspase-3 and caspase-7 in the cells was not detected by BCH treatment. These results suggest that the BCH inhibits the growth of FaDu human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma through the intracellular depletion of neutral amino acids for cell growth without apoptotic processing

        A test was conducted using two high density discharge lamps, the H2D and the structurally new H4D. They were tested for luminous illumination and luminous temperature in the day and night time. The test was conducted without crippling the performance of the H2D by adding a magnetic actuator, enabling it to move left to right, and up and down. By making these modifications we constructed a sample of the H4D. We compared the H2D and the H4D sample's luminous illumination and luminous temperature by using a photometer and a digital thermometer in the day and night time. We discovered that the H2D and H4D performed similarly from the data we gathered. Now we know the H4D has potential use and extensive research needs to be made to gather more detailed data.

        본 연구에서는 아스팔트 혼합물의 변형강도시험에서 하중봉의 치수가 변형강도 특성에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 이를 위하여 직경(D) 40mm, 하단의 원형 절삭 반경(r)을 10.0mm와 10.5mm로 제작한 두 개의 하중봉으로 아스팔트 혼합물의 변형강도를 측정하고, 반복주행시험을 수행하여 얻어진 소성변형 특성치와 상관성 분석을 하였다. 또한 하중봉의 원형 절삭반경에 따른 골재치수에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하기 위하여 통계 분석을 하였다. 변형강도 값과 변동계수는 r=10mm하중봉을 사용한 것이 더 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 r=10mm 하중봉이 변형강도와 소성변형 특성치와 상관성 분석에서도 더 높은 상관성을 보였다. 골재치수와 원형 절삭반경은 변형강도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 두 변수의 교호작용에서는 골재의 크기가 10mm~19mm내에서는 r에 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 소성변형과의 상관성이 더 우수하며 변동계수도 낮은 것으로 나타난 D=40mm, r=10.0mm의 하중봉을 사용하는 것이 적합할 것으로 판단되었다.

        A quantitative sequencing (QS) protocol that detects the frequencies of sodium channel mutations (M815I, T917I and L920F) responsible for knockdown resistance in permethrin-resistant head lice was tested as a population genotyping method. Genomic DNA fragments of the sodium channel α-subunit gene that encompass the three mutation sites were PCR-amplified from individual head lice with either resistant or susceptible genotypes, and combined together in various ratios to generate standard DNA template mixtures for QS. Following sequencing, the signal ratios between resistant and susceptible nucleotides were calculated and plotted against the corresponding resistance allele frequencies. Quadratic regression coefficients of the plots were close to 1, demonstrating that QS is highly reliable for the prediction of resistance allele frequencies. Prediction of resistance allele frequencies by QS in several globally collected lice samples including 12 Korean lice populations suggested that permethrin resistance varied substantially amongst different geographical regions. Three local populations of Korean lice were determined to have 9.8-36.7% resistance allele frequencies, indicating that an urgent resistance management is needed. QS should serve as a preliminary resistance monitoring tool for proper management strategies by allowing early resistance detection.

        As a result of analyzing the floor plan shown in the three drafts, there were a great deal of differences in composing the space of the inner main hall. The inner room facing to the east with the arrangement crossing the inner floor at right angles in the 'Baekdangguje Draft' faces to the south in the east or west in front of the main house thereafter. This represents that it reflects the intent of the owner of the architecture emphasizing the size increase and ceremonies of the main house in the 'ㅁ shape', which has changed to the directions of easily accommodating the Confucian ceremonial activities in the floor plan of the inner house as the size of the main house was gradually increasing from 24 sections to 30 or 38 sections. The expansion in the size of main house further divided the functions of floor into one for daily life and the other for ceremonies as well. In other words, the 30 Sections in Yijeong Draft as being the first planned draft for reconstruction had a hall for memorial services in the main hall of the inner house, whereas the 'Draft with 38 Sections' as being the second planned draft for reconstruction was planning a room with a floor (two sections of Bangdang) for memorial purpose in the back of the inner main hall. The variations in the guest house (or space for men) shown in the drafts confirms the establishment of space for men as the size of the main house increases. We can see the change that a large guest house is placed over the south and in the south and east of the main house as the number of main house increases by 30 sections or 38 sections. Especially, a guest house with a wide space in a 'ㄴ shape' is arranged from the south of main house to the east wing in the Draft with 38 Sections. In addition, the backward sections are advanced in the front and back of guest house in the drafts with 30 and 38 sections, while a back floor or a back floor connecting to the back room or sleeping room or inner house is installed in the backward sections.

        The human ELAV(embryonic lethal abnormal vision)-like protein HuR stabilizes a certain group of cellul ar mHNAs that contain AU- rich elements in their 3’ - untranslated region , To test the significance of HuR in carcinogenesis of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas(HNSCCs), we have investigated HuH expression from 32 benign epithelial lesions , 14 prema lignant epitheli al lesions and 80 HNSCCs, There were two different staining patterns of HuR in HNSCCs : nuclear expression was seen in 78 7% (63 of 80) 01' cases; and an additional cyto plasmic expression was seen in 28, 7%(23 of 80) 01 cases, Nuclear expression of HuR was s ignificantly increased in premalignant lesions and HNSCCs, whereas increased cytoplasπli c expression of HuR was only observed in HNSCCs Cytoplasmic HuR expression was significantly increased in pa tients of HNSCC younger than 60 yea rs , Al though there was no significant correlation between a natomic s ites of HNSCCs and HuR express ion , cyto plasmic HuR expression was highly increased in HNSCCs of larynx, There was no significant co rrela tion between HuR expression and other clinicopathological parameters such as histological type‘ tumor s ize‘ 0 1' n odal s tatus , ln conclusion, this study s uggests that overexpression of HuR in HNSCCs may be part of a regula tory pathway tha t co ntro ls the mHNA stability 0 1' several important targets in carcinogenesis of HNSCCs

        본 논문에서는 투영공간변환기법을 이용하여 초고속 DSP camera 기반의 multi-head형 3차원 레이저 스캐너로부터 정확한 3차원 영상을 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험결과 투영공간변환기법을 적용할 경우 레이저 기반 3차원 스캐너에서 실제 좌표축과 영상 좌표축 사이의 차이에 기인한 비선형 왜곡을 현저하게 감소시켜 registration과 merging후 전신스캐너의 출력 영상의 질이 현저하게 개선될 수 있음을 밝혔다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate electromyographic activities of the flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) and the flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU) by the shape of the ultrasound head. Twelve healthy subjects participated and performed ultrasound therapy with a round head and a long handled head during each 5-minute application. Electromyographic activities of the FDS and FCU were recorded by surface electrodes and normalized by maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) values. There was no difference in the muscular fatigue of FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of the ultrasound head (p>.05). Without the shape of head, the mean power frequency decreased with the time. There also was no difference in %MVIC of the FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of the ultrasound head (p>.05), but the force exerted exceeded 20%MVIC. There was however a significant difference in the amount of cumulative workload of the FDS and FCU as determined by the shape of ultrasound head (p<.05). The workload was however not affected by the shape of the ultrasound head. Constant static grasp of ultrasound transducer head during ultrasound therapy is considered a high risk factor of work-related musculoskeletal disease.

        지금까지 보고된 하부 오르도비스기의 Tremadocian과 Arenigian에 속하는 방산충 군집들 간에는 유사성이나 연관성이 거의 보이지 않았다. Tremadocian에서 Arenigian의 방산충 군집의 진화경향을 알 수 없었던 이유는 후기 Tremadocian 방산충 군집에 대해 알려진 바가 없었기 때문이다. 캐나다 뉴파운드랜드의 Cow Head Group에서 후기 Tremadocian에 속하는 방산충 화석 군집들이 처음으로 발견되었다. 이 새로운 방산충 군집들은 모두 6과, 11속, 26종에 속한다. 이들 가운데 6속 17종이 새로이 발견된 것들이다. Arenigian에서만 보고되었던 Proventocitidae에 속하는 종들이 다양하게 산출되었다. 초기 Tremadocian에 번성했던 Protoentactiniidae와 Echidniniidae에 속하는 것들은 감소하고 Aspiculumidae에 속하는 것들은 더욱 분화되어 다양하고 풍부하게 산출되었다. 방산충과 함께 출현하는 코노돈트 연구로 Low Diversity Interval에서 M. dianae Zone 그리고 하부 P. proteus Zone에 속하는 후기 Tremadocian 방산충 군집들로 밝혀졌다. 또한 R. manitouensis Zone에 속하는 코노돈트 화석군집이 발견되어 중기와 후기 Tremadocian에 속하는 Cow Head Group이 분포하는 여러 지역 간의 (Martin Point, Western Brook Pond, Broom Point, 그리고 St. Paul's Inlet) 층서대비를 보다 정확하게 할 수 있었고, 코노돈트 생층서에서는 R. manitouensis Zone, Low Diversity Interval, M. dianae Zone, 그리고 하부 P. proteus Zone이 식별되었다.
