In this study, a comparative test operation was conducted through the alternate haul method to examine the selectivity of the four mesh sizes (60 mm, 90 mm, 110 mm, and 130 mm) of the trawl codend. The selectivity was analyzed using the SELECT model considering the fishing efficiency (split parameter) of each fishing gear in the comparative test fishing operation in the trawl and the maximum likelihood method for parameter estimation. A selectivity master curve was estimated for several mesh sizes using the extended-SELECT model. As a result of analyzing the selectivity for silver croaker based on the results of three times hauls for each experimental gear, it was found that the size of the fish caught increased as the size of the mesh size increased. When the selectivity for each mesh size analyzed by the SELECT model considering the split ratio was evaluated based on the size of the AIC value, the estimated split model was superior to the equal split model. Based on the master curve, the 50% selection length value was 2.893, which was estimated to be 136 mm based on the mesh size of 60 mm. In some selectivity models, there was a large deviance between observed and theoretical values due to the non-uniformity of the distribution of fished length classes. As a result, it is considered that appropriate sea trials and selectivity evaluation methods with high reliability should be applied to present trawl fishery resource management methods.

The concept of sustainability was first introduced a few decades ago, and it has gradually become the primary concern of many nations and firms around the world. Sustainability is a broad concept that encompasses three pillars, namely, economic, social, and environmental, represented as profit, people, and nature. It implies that firms can only sustainably develop if they grow without compromising the benefits of their stakeholders. Thus, this study aims to identify, through the participatory approach and the Delphi method, an appropriate set of sustainability indicators to strategically evaluate Hai Phong port's sustainable development achievements. The paper will critically review past studies on port sustainable development to find the most frequently used indicators for assessing port sustainability. These indicators vary because of the availability of data and the researcher's perceived level of importance given to each indicator. Finally, we employ the Delphi method to narrow down the initial set of sustainability indicators based on consensus on the importance of indicators and availability of data among experts. Some indicators that are not important and statistical data unavailable are eliminated. Therefore, the final set includes all crucial indicators for evaluating the sustainability of Hai Phong seaports with collected data.

The most important thing to successfully restore an oak forest is finding suitable climatic conditions and topographic factors for the oak species to be introduced. In this study, in order to find suitable environmental conditions for the five dominant oak trees on the Korean Peninsula, we carried out analysing the information on the location of forest vegetation on the Korean Peninsula. The range of annual mean temperature of the five oak trees was narrow in the order of Q. mongolica (7.7~14.3°C), Q. variabilis (9.2~13.8°C), Q. acutissima (10.5~14.3°C), Q. serrata (11.4~13.7°C), Q. aliena (11.0~12.9°C). The range of annual precipitation of oaks was narrow in order of Q. mongolica (1072.7~1780.9 mm), Q. variablis (1066.6~1554.9 mm), Q. acustissima (1036.5~1504.8 mm), Q. serrata (1062.6~1504.7 mm). The range of altitude was in order of Q. mongolica (147~1388 m), Q. serrata (93~950 m), Q. variabilis (90~913 m), Q. acustissima (60~516 m), Q. aliena (55~465 m). The range of slope was in the order of Q. mongolica (8~56°), Q. variabilis (5~52°), Q. serrata (11~45°), Q. aliena (15~38°), Q. acustissima (16~37°). These results are considered to be very useful in the case of ecological restoration using deciduous oak trees on the Korean Peninsula.

This study examines the role of visual merchandising (VMD) in creating effective interior displays for fashion “select shops”(shops that carry a wide selection of brands) amid the recent changes in consumption trends, with consumer needs becoming increasingly individualized and diversified. Fashion select shop interior displays can be categorized as self-service, showcase, counter, and environmental display spaces. Regarding the VMD elements that contribute to effective interior displays, we reached the following conclusions. First, in self-service displays, in order to heighten sales efficacy, display elements should be presented in such a way as to enable customers to select products with ease by themselves. Second, the mere presence of showcase displays was found to be insufficient; if, however, select shops use showcase displays to arrange products according to the flow of customer traffic, enabling the creation of a gentrified atmosphere for products, this may contribute to a differentiated image of brands, heightening perceived product value. Third, in counter displays, having a harmonious arrangement of display and presentation elements promotes sales by inspiring customer confidence. Fourth, regarding environmental displays, it is important for stores to have attractive interior designs and decorations in order to reproduce settings in which products are actually used, as this can inspire interest in products and promote customers’ purchasing intention.

This study undertook to evaluate the quality characteristics of rice, to select a variety suitable for porridge. Seven varieties of rice were studied: Dabo, Daebo, Samkwang, Sindongjin, Sukwang, Jinsumi and Haiami were investigated for proximate contents and physicochemical characteristics. The moisture and crude protein contents of the rice cultivars were in the range 11.26-12.66% and 5.34-6.47%, respectively. The amylose content was the highest in the Samkwang (20.83%), and lowest in Haiami (18.32%). The water binding capacity and solubility of Samkwang and Jinsumi cultivars were greater than those of the other samples. Hardness of rice and viscosity of porridge was the least in Samkwang and Sukwang. The pH of porridge in Samkwang and Jinsumi (7.04) was higher than the other varieties (6.80-7.03). The results of this study indicate that Samkwang and Jinsumi are suitable varieties for porridge. We expect this data will be useful in the manufacturing of porridge.

본 연구는 근거이론 관점에서 유아대상 영어학원의 선택결정요인을 학부모와 학원장의 심층면접을 통 한 연구결과를 토대로, 교육적․정책적 시사점을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 4단계의 과 정을 거쳐 10명의 연구 참여자를 최종적으로 선정한 후, 자료 수집을 위해 심층면담을 실시하였다. 심층 면담을 통해 수집된 자료는 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)이 제시한 근거이론 방식에 의해 개방코딩-축코딩- 선택코딩의 순으로 진행하였다. 분석결과, 중심현상은 자녀의 차별화된 성장에 대한 갈망이었다. 이의 인과적 조건, 맥락적 조건, 중재적 조건 등을 살펴보면서, 유아대상 영어학원 선택 결정요인에 대한 패러다임 모형을 제시하였다. 이상의 결과를 토대로, 유아대상 공교육 정책수립, 강사의 자질, 교습시간, 조기 공교육 영어교육정책의 시사점, 유아대상 영어학원의 분당 수강료 측면에서 함의를 제고시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

This study aimed to analyze the beverage usage behavior according to the food-related lifestyle in Seoul, Gyeonggi province area. Group 1, named ‘health & safety seeking’ group, consists of high percentage of women in their 40s, as well as a high percentage of high income and highly educated. Group 2, was group of ‘high interest in dietary life’, consists of a high percentage of women in their 30s, highly educated, earned 3~5 million won. Although chemical fertilizers have a quick effect and broad applicability to agricultural fields, they have caused many problems like increasing soil acidity or decreasing soil organic matters. Environmental-friendly agriculture has been attempted in various ways such as organic agriculture, natural farming, low input and sustainable agriculture. The common interest of all environmental-friendly systems is to decrease burden to agricultural environment by low input of agricultural labor and materials. This study was conducted to estimate overwintering capacity and genetic distance among Chinese Milk Vetch (Astragalus sinicus, CMV) collections based on morphological characteristics and AFLP (Amplified fragment length polymorphism) analysis. Furthermore, the effect of CMV as green manure was observed in mix-cultured paddy fields with rice, sesame and sweet-potato. An another objective of this study was also to compare the pattern of weed occurrence in paddy fields with or without CMV and different rice transplanting times. The CMV collected from Paju district in central region of Korea was successively occurring through self-reseeding without artificial management. However, there was no noticeable difference in growth habit between Paju native CMV and introduced CMV from China which is currently used in farm fields. On the basis of multi-dimensional scaling and tree analyses, there are no significant difference of agricultural growth characteristics among Paju and chinese collections only excepting leaf angle and root length. The flowering time of Gurye collection was fast for 1 week as compared to other collections. AFLP that was commonly used for plant classfication, was applied to exam the genetic variation of CMV collections. Total 579 PCR products and 336 polymorphic fragments were generated using 8 primer pairs.

이 연구는 양이온 불균질막을 제조하기 위해 PVdF와 상용 양이온교환수지를 배합하여 제조하고 최적의 조건제시 및 기존 상용화막과 비교 평가하였다. 연구결과 불균질막이 기존의 상용화막보다 이온교환용량, 전기저항, 함수율 부분에서 높은 물성을 나타내기 위해서는 이온교환수지의 무게 비율을 40% 이상 첨가해야 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 인장강도가 상용화 막보다 높기 위해서는 이온교환수지의 무게 비율을 50% 이하로 첨가해야 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 화학적 특성과 기 계적 특성을 고려했을 때, PVdF와 이온교환분말의 최적 비율은 60 : 40이며, 이때의 전기저항 1.82 Ω⋅cm-1, 함수율 79%, 이 온교환용량 1.60 meq/g으로 측정되었고 기계적 강도는 0.97 MPa로 측정되었다. 이때, TDS 제거율은 약 40%로 측정되었다.

Selecting surrogated species is the first step for environmental risk assessment of GM crop on non-target arthropods. To select surrogated species considering the domestic environment, we surveyed the arthropod fauna in five main localities (Changnyeong-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do, Goesan-gun in Chungcheongbuk-do, Gokseong-gun in Jeollanam-do, Hongcheon-gun in Gangwon-do and Hwaseong-si in Gyeonggi-do) in which maize was cultivated with large scale. Maize is one of the main imported GM crop in Korea. Arthropods were surveyed with yellow sticky traps and pitfall traps from May to August with a week interval considering the crop growing season in 2012 and 2013. A total of 135 species of 51 families in 13 orders were identified from the 17,470 arthropods. Six orders (Coleoptera, Araneae, Hemiptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera and Lepidoptera) were dominant in species richness and three orders (Collembola, Thysanoptera and Diptera) in abundance, representing 84% and 86% of the total, respectively. In the composition of fuctional guilds, herbivore group was the most dominant followed by predator group occupying 40% and 37% of the total abundance.

The mesh selectivity of a drift net for yellow croaker (Larimichthys polyactis) was examined in field experiments with six different net mesh size (40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65mm) from April to December, 2008 in the coastal areas of Jeollanam-do in Korea. The total catch of 6,748 consisted of yellow croaker (n=6,310; 89.1% of total catch), common mackerel (n=158; 5.6%) and other species (n=280; 9.6%). The selectivity curve for yellow croaker was fit by the models of selectivity curve in SELECT method. The optimal mesh size for 50% retention for minimum landing size (191mm) of yellow croaker was estimated as 49.6mm-51mm by selectivity curves. And the bi-normal model for the selectivity curve was found to fit the data best.

전통장례방법의 문제 해소를 위한 대안으로 제시된 수목장의 국내 정착화를 위한 정부와 관계기관의 노력에도 불구하고 시민들의 수목장 선택 비율은 여전히 매우 낮은 실정이다. 시민들의 보다 적극적인 수목장 참여를 유도하기 위해서는 그들의 수목장에 대한 인식과 태도에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 본 연구는 수목장에 대한 지식, 수목장 선택 행동결과에 대한 신념, 수목장 선택행동에 대한 태도 및 수목장 선택의도와 더불어 이들 변수와 인구사회학적 특성과의 관계를 조사하기 위해 시행되었다. 2011-5월 중 광주시민을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 데이터를 수집하였으며 총 320명의 답변이 본 연구의 분석을 위해 이용되었다. 분석결과, 응답자의 65.3%가 수목장에 대해 알고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이 중 47.6%가 TV/Radio를 통해 정보를 입수하는 것으로 조사되었다. 연령, 교육수준, 결혼여부, 장남여부는 수목장에 대한 지식수준과 관련이 있었다. 연령과 교육수준이 높을수록 그리고 기혼자와 비장남이 수목장에 대한 지식수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연령과 교육수준이 높을수록, 그리고 기혼자가 수목장 선택행동에 대한 보다 긍정적 태도를 가지고 있었으며 관습 탈피적 경향이 강한 것으로 분석되었다. 연령과 교육수준이 높을수록, 그리고 비장남이 수목장 선택의도가 높게 조사되었다. 수목장에 대한 지식수준은 수목장 선택행동에 대한 태도 및 선택의도와 긍정적 관계가 있었다. 결과에 대한 토의와 더불어 수목장 선택행동 촉진을 위한 몇 가지 대안을 제시하였다.

An entomopathogenic bacterium, Photorhabdus temperata ssp. temperata (Ptt), suppresses insect immune responses and facilitates its symbiotic nematode development in target insects. The immunosuppressive activity of Ptt enhances pathogenicity of various microbial pesticides including Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). This study was performed to select a cheap and efficient bacterial culture medium for large scale culturing of the bacteria. Relatively cheap industrial bacterial culture media (MY and M2) were compared to two research media, Luria-Bertani (LB) and tryptic soy broth (TSB). In all tested media, a constant initial population of Ptt multiplied and reached a stationary phase at 48 h. However, more bacterial colony densities were detected in LB and TSB at the stationary phase compared to two industrial media. All bacterial culture broth gave significant synergism to Bt pathogenicity against third instars of the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella. Production of bacterial metabolites extracted by either hexane or ethyl acetate did not show any significant difference in total mass among four culture media. Reverse phase HPLC separated the four bacterial metabolites, which were not much different in quantities among four bacterial culture broths. This study suggests that two industrial bacterial culture media can be used to economically culture Ptt in a large scale.

온라인 게임을 비롯한 많은 인터넷 매체 중에 사회적 통제를 요구하는 유해한 동영상이 아무른 재제 없이 무분별하게 배포됨으로서 심각한 역기능이 발생되고 있다. 이는 청소년의 정신 건강에 큰 문제를 발생하게 되면 사회적, 제도적 규제가 절실하다. 본 논문에서는 영상이 가지는 컬러 공간 정보를 이용하여 동영상의 유해성을 판별할 수 있는 대표 프레임 선정 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법을 기존의 히스토그램 정보를 이용한 유해한 대표 프레임 선정 기법과 비교하여 매우 효과적임을 증명하였다. 본 연구 결과는 유해 동영상을 판별하는 도구에 적용하면 매우 효과적일 것이다.
