스페인은 1992 CLC와 1992 FC 체약국임에도 불구하고, 스페인 대법원은 협 약과 국내법을 혼용하는 방법을 통해 선주의 책임제한권을 부인하는 한편 P&I 보험자가 보험계약상의 담보한도까지 항변권 없이 보상해야 한다고 판결하였 다. 이는 선주의 책임제한권이 배제되는 경우에도 책임보험자는 선주책임한도 액까지만 보상책임이 있다는 1992 CLC의 명시적 규정을 무력화한 판결이다. 스페인이 1992 CLC와 1992 FC 체약국임에도 불구하고 협약과 달리 판결하 고 이의 집행을 추진하는 것에 대해 많은 P&I보험자들은 물론 ICS와 같은 선주단체에서도 선주책임제한 제도의 붕괴를 우려하고 있다. 스페인 대법원 판결이 나온 직후 IMO에서는 선주책임제한 규정의 통일해석 결의안을 채택하였다. 통일해석 결의안은 1992 CLC나 1976 LLMC를 기초할 때 에 선주책임한도액의 인상 대가로 선주책임제한이 사실상 조각되지 않도록 의 도하였다는 점을 인정하여 채택한 것이다. 이 결의안은 선주책임제한 배제사유 의 해석이 국가에 따라 또는 지역에 따라 편의적으로 해석되지 않게 하여 선주 책임제한 제도의 붕괴를 막으려는 조치로 다행스러운 일이다. 향후 이 IMO 통 일해석 결의안이 의도한 대로 해석되도록 P&I보험자와 선주 및 이들을 상대로 손해배상을 청구할 당사자들과 각국의 법원이 함께 노력해야 한다. 왜냐하면, 선주책임제한 제도 없이는 특히, 유류오염손해와 관련한 선주책임제한 제도 없 이는 선박활동이나 무역이 온전히 유지될 수 없고 무역 없이는 현대사회도 지 금처럼 지속될 수 없기 때문이다. 스페인 정부가 협약에서 정한 금액보다 훨씬 많은 금액을 회수하기 위해 사고발생 20년이 지난 지금도 P&I Club을 상대로 소송을 계속하고 있는 것 자체가 협약의 통일적인 해석기준과 지침이 국제적으로 절실히 필요함의 방 증이다. 한편, 이 사건에서 영국의 London P&I Club은 보험계약규정상의 조합원선 지급원칙을 통해 스페인 정부의 직접청구를 방어 중인데, 만일 Korea P&I Club을 상대로 직접청구를 시도한다면 우리나라 법원은 이를 승인할 것인 가? 우리나라가 1992 CLC 체약국인데 이 협약을 무력화한 스페인 대법원의 판결은 외국판결의 승인요건 제외사유인 “우리나라의 선량한 풍속이나 사회 질서에 어긋난” 판결에 해당하기 때문에 우리 법원이 이의 집행을 승인하지 않아야 할 것이다. “선주의 고의 또는 무모한 행위”를 근거로 선주책임제한이 배제되는 경우, 보험보상 역시 “피보험자의 고의적 불법행위”를 근거로 보험자 면책에 해당 될 수 있으므로 선주의 책임제한을 배제하려는 시도는 무조건 추진될 일은 아니다.

The coda /s/ is the most extensively studied phonological segment in Hispanic dialectology and sociolinguistics. However, the coda /s/ in Peruvian Andean Spanish has received relatively little attention. This study examines the variation in syllables and word-final /s/ in the city of Cusco, Peru. The statistical analysis of 2400 tokens from 24 sociolinguistic interviews reveals that the Spanish of Cusco is located within the conservative dialects with the predominant use of the sibilant [s] and that coda /s/ weakening is conditioned by linguistic factors, such as word position and the following phonological context. Additionally, younger speakers and those who have higher levels of education weaken codal /s/ more frequently than older generations and speakers with lower levels of education.

2014년 포데모스의 부상은 정당정치의 위기를 온라인플랫폼 정당으로 해소할 수 있다는 가능성을 보여줬다. 온라인플랫폼을 매개로 일반유권자 에게까지 정당 활동을 개방함으로써 포데모스의 당원 가입은 크게 증가하 였다. 포데모스의 등장으로 다당체계가 형성되면서 포데모스의 정당운영 방식은 기성 정당들에 대한 압박으로 작용하여 국민당과 사회노동당도 정 책 결정 과정에서 온라인플랫폼을 도입하였고, 공직후보자와 지도부 선출 과정에 당원 참여 보장을 제도화하였다. 그러나 당내민주주의 발전을 위한 제도는 구축하였으나 실제 작동에 있어서는 제한적이었다. 포데모스에서도 유권자들의 정당 활동에는 제약이 많았고, 역할과 권한을 부여받은 당원들 이 제안한 정책이 지도부에 의해 채택되는 일도 매우 드물었다. 온라인플 랫폼이 대면 활동을 대신할 것으로 기대했지만, 온라인 활동에 있어서도 한계가 드러났다. 기존 정당도 당원 중심의 대면 활동을 중심으로 운영하 고 있으며, 온라인 도구는 보완의 기제로만 활용하고 있다. 포데모스와 같 은 온라인플랫폼 정당이 대의민주주의의 위기를 대체하는 데 한계가 있음 이 드러났다. 그러므로 스페인의 정당 운영 사례는 디지털 기술은 단순히 당원의 참여를 보장하는 도구가 아닌 당원의 역할과 권한을 보장하는 아 래로부터의 정당으로 발전하는 데 활용해야 함을 보여준다.

Este estudio aborda el aprendizaje de la pronunciación en español como una tercera lengua por parte de los hablantes nativos de coreano en los EEUU. Específicamente, profundiza en las características de sus pronunciaciones, las perspectivas desde las que se pueden entender las pronunciaciones y los puntos que los investigadores de L3 deben tener en cuenta para examinar sus pronunciaciones. Para ello, primero este estudio presenta modelos sobre la percepción y producción de L2, así como modelos sobre la morfosintaxis de L3. Luego, aplica los principios principales de los modelos a las situaciones y características del aprendizaje que muestran los estudiantes coreanos de español en los EEUU. Por último, con base en los fundamentos teóricos y sus características del aprendizaje, hace sugerencias para estudios empíricos que examinen la pronunciación de español como L3. Este estudio puede ser útil para los estudiantes coreanos de español como L3 y sus padres, profesores de español e investigadores de L3. Además, algunas sugerencias de este estudio se pueden aplicar a los estudiantes coreanos de español como L3 que viven en Corea y países angloparlantes que no sean los EEUU.

Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.), a green leafy vegetable, is well known as a functional food due to its biological activities. Vascular calcification is associated with several disease conditions including atherosclerosis, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease (CKD), and is known to raise the risk of cardiovascular diseases related morbidity and mortality. However, there are no previous studies that have investigated the effects of fermented spinach exract (FSE) against aortic and its underlying mechanisms. Therefore, this study investigated the effects and action of possible mechanisms of FSE on inorganic phosphate (PI)-induced vascular calcification in ex vivo mouse aortic rings. PI increased vascular calcification through calcium deposition in ex vivo aortic rings. FSE inhibited calcium accumulation and osteogenic key marker, runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), and bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 (BMP-2) protein expression in ex vivo aortic rings. And, FSE inhibited PI-induced extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and p38 phosphorylation in ex vivo aortic rings. These results show that FSE can prevent vascular calcification which may be a crucial way for the prevention and treatment of vascular disease association with vascular calcification.

Este trabajo analiza los errores debidos a la interferencia coreana al escribir/traducir al español. Sostenemos que, cuando los alumnos ingresan una vez en la memoria una forma española α que corresponde preferentemente a una forma coreana A, tienden a equiparar esta correspondencia como ‘A = α’ y la aplican a los casos en los que dicha correspondencia no debería usarse. Para averiguar cuántos alumnos cometen este tipo de error, realizamos un experimento con 42 alumnos. En el experimento, dividimos las oraciones en dos grupos. Las oraciones que pueden producir un resultado apropiado se colocaron en el grupo A si usamos la correspondencia ‘A → α’, mientras que las que pueden producir un resultado inapropiado se ubicaron en el grupo B si lo hacemos. Nuestro análisis mostró que el error más común del grupo B es reutilizar la correspondencia utilizada en el grupo A. Por lo tanto, los estudiantes necesitan evitar una “ecuación excesiva” para reducir errores. Finalmente, para cada oración, sugerimos formas de reducir o evitar errores.

El objetivo de este estudio es proponer la verbalización metalingüística como una manera de ayudar a los estudiantes de español como lengua extranjera a convertir el conocimiento explícito en implícito. En las aulas de la segunda lengua, la verbalización metalingüística suele ser realizada por los profesores o aparece en el libro de texto. Pero, en este artículo, nos centraremos en la verbalización metalingüística llevada a cabo por los alumnos y analizaremos sus efectos en la adquisición del español como lengua extranjera. En primer lugar, dividiremos la verbalización metalingüística en tres fases (input, reestructuración y output) y presentaremos las acciones del alumno que aparecen en cada fase. En segundo lugar, explicaremos cómo influyen estas acciones en la construcción del conocimiento implícito, basándonos en la reflexión metalingüística, el aumento de la conciencia gramatical, la hipótesis del reconocimiento, el constructivismo cognitivo, el aprendizaje significativo y la hipótesis del output comprensible. Como resultado del estudio, se ha demostrado teóricamente que la verbalización metalingüística realizada por los alumnos es una manera de aprendizaje útil que ayuda a formar el conocimiento implícito. Sin embargo, no se debe olvidar que los alumnos tienen que practicar los elementos lingüísticos meta para que puedan procesar automáticamente el conocimiento adquirido.

This paper examines the variation of the intervocalic /b, d, g/ in the Spanish spoken in one of the Andean Spanish varieties. One of the regional phonological features that characterize the Andean Spanish is the use of occlusive [b, d, g] in intervocalic positions where other standard varieties would favor approximate variants [ß, ð, ɣ]. This research provides the first quantitative study on the linguistic and extra-linguistic factors influencing the use of [b, d, g] in Andean Spanish. A total of 4,080 tokens from 24 speakers in the Tupe district were analyzed via multivariate statistical analysis with Goldvarb X. The results show that the most important extra-linguistic factors are speakers’ gender and age, with old female speakers producing significantly more occlusive [b, d, g] than other speakers. The results also indicate that the speakers are standardizing their use of /b, d, g/ but its process is quite different between the male and female speakers.

This paper analyses the foreign language curriculum of general high schools in China. The Chinese educational authority announced an experimental version of its language curriculum in 2003, revised it in 2017, and revised it in 2020. In 2003, the foreign language curriculum included only three foreign languages: English, Japanese, and Russian. German, French, and Spanish were added from the 2017 curriculum. The 2017 curriculum consists of three categories: ‘required’, ‘required optional’, and ‘optional’. The required courses meet the requirements for graduation by all students. Students intending to go to college must complete all required optional courses. The six foreign language curriculums equally set four core competencies: language ability, cultural consciousness, thinking ability, and learning ability. In addition, this paper investigated curriculum structure of the six foreign languages, learning vocabulary, and items included in the appendix, and compared the foreign language curriculum in China and Korea. In conclusion, Korea’s next curriculum suggested that achievement standards and evaluation criteria should be more specific in preparation for the high school credit system, and that achievement standards and evaluation criteria should be described so that the curriculum and college entrance can be linked.

In this study, spray-dried double emulsion loaded bromelain was applied to Japanese Spanish mackerel fillets to develop fish-type, elderly-friendly foods. Japanese Spanish mackerel, treated with spray-dried double emulsions, were stored at 4oC for 24 h. For the characterization of emulsion particles, the particle size, ζ-potential, and morphology were determined. The color, TBARS, VBN, TMA, hardness, and adhesiveness of fish fillets treated by emulsion were measured for physicochemical properties. All the particle sizes of spray-dried emulsion were decreased while their double emulsion structure was maintained. Spray-dried emulsion reduced the color difference of fish fillets and did not catalyze lipid oxidation and protein decomposition. Values of TBA, VBN, and TMA of all fish did not exceed 0.5 mg MDA/kg, 30 mg/100 g, and 10 mg/100 g, respectively, which are considered edible limits regardless of bromelain or emulsion application. Bromelain modified fish fillets' hardness and adhesiveness to be suitable for elderly food, although it was encapsulated in the emulsion. Thus, spray-dried fish oil W/O/W double emulsion-loaded bromelain can be applied as a fish tenderizer, and this study’s results can be utilized to develop elderly-friendly food.

This study about hotel bookings in Spain analyzes the influence of three low price signals and the type of distribution channel on perceived value and behavioral intentions: Positive influences on perceived value and buying intention were found for price beating guarantee and for always low price signals but the distribution channel was only found to have an effect on behavioral intentions. Finally, it has been detected that gender plays a moderating role on both perceived value and buying intention.

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the acquisition of figurative language contributes to the development of communicative competence. In addition, this educational proposal aims to enhance the metaphorical awareness of the E/LE students and develop the strategies to the understanding of the Spanish phraseological units (PUs). Therefore, I selected quite a number of Spanish PUs of emotions of joy, sadness and anger from the latest dictionaries and analyzed these PUs on the basis of the Cognitive Metaphor Theory. With the cognitive models like ANGER IS FIRE, JOY IS LIGHT, SADNESS IS DOWN that underlie these PUs, I demonstrated the didactic possibilities to explain the idiomaticity of PUs, which becomes an additional resource that guarantees the enhancement of lexical capacity. Finally, I made some didactic proposals about how to deal with PUs in Spanish as a foreign language classroom. El objetivo de esta comunicación es mostrar que la adquisición del lenguaje figurado contribuye al desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa de forma integral. Se trata de una propuesta didáctica que tiene como meta desarrollar en los alumnos de la E/LE conciencia metafórica y estrategias para comprender unidades fraseológicas españolas (UFs). Asimismo, seleccionamos bastantes UFs de las emociones como alegría, tristeza e ira en los más recientes diccionarios y las analizamos a base de la teoría de la metáfora cognitiva. Con los modelos cognitivos como LA IRA ES FUEGO, LA ALEGRÍA ES LUZ, LA TRISTEZA ES ABAJO que subyacen a estas UFs demostramos las posibilidades didácticas de explicar la idiomaticidad de estas UFs, que se convierte en un recurso adicional con capacidad potenciadora del léxico. Por último, ofrecemos algunas propuestas didácticas para abordar UFs en la clase de ELE.

본고에서는 2011년 국토지리정보원 발간 세계전도 및 대한민국 주변도의 표준매트릭스를 기초로 다국어 매트릭스의 스페인어 매트릭스를 작성한 과정을 다루었다. 매트릭스의 작업 과정은 기존 스페인어 지명 표기의 수집 과정과 공인된 스페인어식 표기법이 없는 한국, 중국, 일본 등의 지명을 스페인어로 표기하는 과정으로 구성되었다. 스페인의 식민지 지배의 역사적 경험으로 인해 스페인어는 16세기 초 이후 외국 지명의 스페인어식 표기가 지속적으로 이루어졌다. 스페인어 사용자들에게 익숙한 발음으로 전환하고 언중들이 지명의 의미를 알기 쉽게 스페인어로 의미를 표기하는 것이 특징이었으며, 외국 지명의 상당 부분이 ‘스페인어화’된 경향이 있었다. 이에 비해 우리나라의 외국 지명 표기는 의미의 전달보다는 한국어의 발음을 중요시하는 경향이 있었다. 스페인어 매트릭스 작성 과정에서는 스페인어 지도집을 기준으로 삼았고, UNGEGN의 자료 및 각국의 지도관련 사이트 등을 이용하여 공인된 지명을 최대한 반영하였다. 스페인어 표기가 없는 상세한 지명은 국립국어원의 로마자어 표기법 및 스페인어 표기세칙을 따라 스페인어로 변환하였다.

The current study focused on acquisition of If-conditionals by L2 learners of English with two different native tongues, Spanish and Korean, and with two different proficiency levels, high and low. An experiment with two subparts, each focusing on production and comprehension respectively, was performed in order to explore which factor among input frequencies, grammatical complexities and L1 influence best explains the acquisition of If-conditionals by L2 learners. The results from both production and comprehension data suggest that If-conditionals with lower hypotheticality are acquired before than those with higher hypotheticality by L2learners, just as they are by children learning their L1, and hierarchies of input frequencies best explain the acquisition order of If-conditionals. At this point, it is not possible to distinguish between influences of input frequencies and typological universals, as they coincide. One thing for sure is that both L1 and L2 acquisitions seem to be influenced by them, suggesting the universality of language acquisition. Influence of instruction, on the other hand, was also found, especially in the production data of the higher-level L2 learners. Even though there were no differences in the acquisition order of If-conditionals between the two groups of learners with different L1 backgrounds, the influence of L1 was also found in the analysis of non-target forms produced by learner participants.
