        본 연구는 A대학의 PBL기반 혁신교수법이 대학생의 학습성과와 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 대상은 2022년부터 2024년까지 PBL기반 혁신교수법이 적용된 강의를 수강한 514명의 학생이며, 사전-사후 설문을 통해 학습 역량 변화를 측 정하였다. 연구 결과, 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력, 자기주도적학습능력 모든 영역에서 유의미한 향상이 나타났으며, 수업 만족도 평균도 4.52로 높은 수준을 보였다. 특히, 학생 퍼실리테이터 활용, 팀 프로젝트 기반 학습, 경험학습 사이클 적용, 에듀테크 기반 수업 설계 등의 요소가 학습 성과 향상에 기여한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 온라인 학습 도구 활용 만족 도는 상대적으로 낮아 향후 개선이 필요함이 확인되었다. 본 연구의 의 의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존 강의식 교육의 한계를 극복하고, 학습자 중심의 문제 해결형 수업 모델이 실제 대학 교육 현장에서 효과적으로 구현될 수 있음을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 둘째, 학생 퍼실리테이터, 에 듀테크, 경험학습 사이클 등을 통합한 구체적인 운영 사례를 제시함으로 써, 타 대학에서도 적용 가능한 실천적 교수 전략을 제공하였다. 셋째, 혁신교수법의 효과성 평가 체계와 개선 방향(예: 퍼실리테이터 양성, 실 습형 수업과의 연계 등)을 제안함으로써 향후 교육 정책 수립에 기초자 료를 제공할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.

        This study investigated the impact of diabetes mellitus (DM) on phacoemulsification outcomes in dogs, focusing on blindness and postoperative complications. A retrospective analysis of 26 dogs (38 eyes) was conducted, comparing diabetic (n=4) and non-diabetic dogs (n=22). Postoperative outcomes were observed for 2 months, and Fisher’s Exact Test was used to assess statistical significance (p<0.05). Blindness occurred in 50% of diabetic eyes compared to 6% in non-diabetic eyes (OR=14.0, p=0.0116). Major complications included glaucoma and retinal detachment, both more common in diabetic dogs. Diabetic dogs are at a significantly higher risk of blindness after phacoemulsification, highlighting the need for thorough preand postoperative management to reduce complications that could lead to vision loss.

        Background: Rotator cuff tears often cause shoulder pain and functional limitations that may require conservative treatment or surgical intervention. Identifying preoperative differences in muscle strength and function can aid in treatment decisions. Objects: This study aimed to compare the preoperative shoulder muscle strength and functional outcomes between patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and those receiving conservative treatment. Methods: A retrospective review was conducted of 315 patients with rotator cuff tears, including 145 who underwent surgery and 170 who received conservative treatment. Shoulder isokinetic muscle strength (external rotator, internal rotators, abductor, and adductors) and functional scores (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons [ASES] and Constant-Murley shoulder scores) were measured. The conservative treatment group was assessed during a hospital visit, whereas the surgery group was tested on the morning of the surgery. An independent t-test was used to evaluate the preoperative shoulder strength and functional scores. Results: The conservative treatment group showed lower deficits in external (11.3 ± 23.9) and internal (11.7 ± 15.5) rotators compared to the surgery group (26.3 ± 33.8 and 17.1 ± 26.1, respectively; p = 0.001). Abductor and adductor deficits (18.2 ± 25.3 and 9.8 ± 16.8) were also lower in the conservative treatment group (30.7 ± 31.6 and 21.9 ± 28.4, respectively; p = 0.036 and p = 0.001). The external per internal rotator ratio (50.9 ± 16.8; p = 0.003) and ASES scores were higher (74.5 ± 14.8; p = 0.047) was higher in the conservative treatment group. Conclusion: The conservative treatment group had lower shoulder strength deficits, better muscle balance, and higher ASES scores than the surgery group, indicating superior functional outcomes. These findings suggest that assessing preoperative muscle strength and function might provide valuable insights into treatment planning for patients with rotator cuff tears.

Understanding the effects of cognitive stimulation on exercise can help in developing more effective strategies for promoting both physical and cognitive health. In summary, physical exercise emerges as a powerful tool for enhancing cognitive stimulation and mental well-being. By making regular physical activity a habit, individuals can reap cognitive benefits alongside physical ones, underlining the importance of including exercise in daily routines for optimal cognitive function and overall health.

        배경/목적: 본 연구에서는 췌장 낭종을 가진 환자들 중 임상적 으로 분지형 췌관내유두상점액종양(branch-duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm)으로 여겨지는 환자에서 췌장암 및 우려되는 특징의 누적 발생률을 조사하였다. 방법: 분지형 췌관내유두상점액종양으로 추적관찰한 환자 177명의 자료를 후향적으로 분석하였다. 영상 검사를 통해 주췌관과의 소통이 확인된 췌장 낭종을 ‘분지형 췌관내유두상 점액종양 의심’으로 정의하였고, 주췌관과의 명확한 소통이 없는 경우를 ‘분지형 췌관내유두상점액종양 추정’으로 정의 하였다. 결과: 환자 중 30.5%가 분지형 췌관내유두상점액종양 의심으로 분류되었다. 진단 시의 중위 연령은 64세였으며, 낭종 크기의 중앙값은 13 mm였다. 진단 시 19명(10.7%)의 환자가 우려되는 특징을 보였으며, 고위험 인자(high risk stigmata)를 보인 환자는 없었다. 70.5개월의 추적 기간 동안 3명의 환자에게서 췌장암이 발생하였으며 96개월 시점의 누적 발생률은 4.0% (95% 신뢰 구간[confidence interval, CI], 0.98-10.76%)였다. 진단 시 우려되는 특징이 없는 158명의 환자에서 우려되는 특징의 누적 발생률은 24개월 시점에 5.1% (95% CI, 2.37-9.28%)였고, 96개월 시점에 11.2% (95% CI, 6.34-17.53%)였다. 우려되는 특징의 발생은 분지형 췌관내 유두상점액종양 추정 군(p=0.102)과 75세 미만 환자(p=0.463) 에서 더 낮았으나, 이러한 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 특히, 75세 이상 환자 군에서는 2년이 지난 이후 우려되는 특징은 발생하지 않았다. 결론: 저위험 췌장 낭종 환자에서 췌장암 및 우려되는 특징의 누적 발생률은 현저히 낮았다. 또한, 첫 2년 동안 변화가 없는 고령 환자의 경우 감시를 중단하는 것을 고려할 수 있다.

        본 연구는 원격수업 상황에서 대학생이 지각한 원격수업의 질, 학업적 자기효능감, 무형식 학습, 학습 성과 간의 구조적 관계는 어떠한지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한 학기 이상 원격수업에 참여한 경험 이 있는 국내 대학생을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 시행하였고 총 313명의 자료를 최종 분석에 활용하였다. 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 원격수업 학습성과에 직접적인 영향을 주는 요인 은 원격수업의 질과 무형식 학습이었고, 학업적 자기효능감은 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 원격 수업의 질은 학업적 자기효능감을 통해 무형식 학습에 영향을 미치고, 무형식 학습은 학습 성과에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 부분매개효과가 있었다. 마지막으로 원격수업의 질과 학습성과의 관계에서 학업적 자기 효능감과 무형식 학습의 이중매개효과를 확인하였다. 이 연구 결과는 원격수업 환경에서 대학생들의 학습 성과와 관련된 변수들의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 학업적 자기효능감과 무형식 학습의 단순 및 이중 매개 효과를 검증하는 데 중요한 의의가 있다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 대학교육에 있어서 원격수업의 활용과 적용 에 대한 시사점 및 후속 연구 방향을 제안하고자 하였다.

        This study aims to predict return-to-work outcomes for workers injured in industrial accidents using a TabNet-RUSBoost hybrid model. The study analyzed data from 1,383 workers who had completed recuperation. Key predictors identified include length of recuperation, disability grade, occupation activity, self-efficacy, and socioeconomic status. The model effectively addresses class imbalance and demonstrates superior predictive performance. These findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach, incorporating both medical and psychosocial factors.

        본 연구는 대학 창의융합수업에서 Appreciative Inquiry 교수학습방법을 적용한 후 창의융합역량 학습 성과 효과를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 창의융합교육을 위한 창의융합역량 학습성과 평가도구를 개발하고 이를 타당화하였다. 이후, 경기도 소재 G 대학교 경영대학원에서 교육경영 교과목을 수강하는 대학원생 12명을 대상으로 교수학습 방법을 적용한 창의융합교육을 실시하고 창의융합역량 학 습성과 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 팀기반 Appreciative Inquiry 교수학습 방법이 학습자의 창의융합역 량 학습성과 증진에 유의미한 역할을 하였다. 학습자-학습자간, 교수자-학습자간 평가로 실시한 학습성 과 평가에서 Appreciative Inquiry의 4D 활동이 혁신적 사고, 다양한 아이디어, 경험의 결합, 협력적 태도 역량 증진에 효과적인 것으로 분석하였다. 이를 통해 창의융합교육에서 학습자의 적극적인 참여와 협업을 바탕으로 긍정적인 분위기의 아이디어 발산과 공유의 팀기반 교수학습 방법이 창의융합역량 학습성과에 효과가 있다 결론을 도출하였다.

        Following the Antecedents, Methods, and Outcomes (AMO) framework, this paper contributes to a better understanding of corporate activism (CA) in an international context. Through an in-depth review of publications over the past 33 years, we aim to shed light on the rising trend of CA and identify its most important antecedents, manifestations, and the short-term and long-term consequences of CA. In this context, we focus particularly on cross-country differences. Guided by the scientific Procedures and Rationales for a Systematic Literature Reviews Protocol (SPAR-4-SLR), this paper offers a framework-based systematic literature review on CA. We observe that the topic of CA is somewhat underexplored in the literature. Moreover, CA is very often misinterpreted, and lines between CA and similar terms, such as Corporate Social Responsibility, CEO activism, and lobbying often remain blurred. Nevertheless, our review identifies a rising trend among companies to express their stance on various controversial issues. Reflecting this trend, we can also witness a substantial increase in the number of studies on CA over the past two years. Through the articles identified in our literature review, we improve the understanding of the common antecedents and manifestations of CA, but also observe a lack of conceptual clarity in many extant contributions on CA. As to the outcome of CA, the literature indicates that the long-term and shortterm consequences of CA also still call for further analysis. The international nature and ramifications of CA, recently highlighted by the considerable CA in response to the war between Russia and Ukraine and its spillover effect worldwide, is neglected in current research. Thus, given the international dimension of some CA there is a particular need to research both, national idiosyncrasies and international consequences of CA.

        The growing trend of companies using digital platforms for internationalization has raised the important issue of how companies on such platforms develop unique abilities, but few academic studies have focused on this field. This study develops a theoretical framework of the drivers and outcomes of multinational corporations’ organizational generativity on digital platforms. This study explores how companies effectively convert and integrate resources for generativity, and further improve firm performance during the process of internationalization. Our empirical results show that companies’ big data analytics capability, customer agility, platform openness, and network centrality have significant positive effects on organizational generativity. Furthermore, organizational generativity has a significant positive effect on firm performance. This study ultimately discusses theoretical and practical implications.

        Adding new stores close to incumbent franchisees, or franchise encroachment, has been a contentious issue in the marketplace. Prior studies on the encroachment effect focus mainly on the store-level cannibalization, lacking the understanding of customer-level post-encroachment outcomes. The authors investigate individual-level transaction data from a cluster of bakery franchise stores to quantify the franchise encroachment effect at store- and individual-levels with store and customer heterogeneity. Our results show that incumbents experience a decrease in sales, and the extent of the lost sales is attenuated by the distance between incumbent and new stores and the size of incumbents’ product assortment. The individual-level analysis reveals that three customer segments exhibit different post-encroachment shopping behaviors: (1) patronizing incumbents only, (2) patronizing both incumbent and new stores, and (3) completely switching to new stores. While the second segment increases the post-encroachment overall spending, the third segment contributes to both cannibalization to incumbents and higher sales to the franchisor. Our findings offer managerial implications of how to manage franchise encroachment with context-dependency and customer segmentation in terms of maximizing overall franchise performance.

        Voice assistant devices (VADs), driven and improved by artificial intelligence, have been adapted for consumers (e.g., Hey Google and Alexa) and are widely used for their daily lives (Guha et al., 2022; Rabassa, Sabri, & Spaletta, 2022). Consumers benefit from the use of a VAD as it makes their daily lives more convenient, more comfortable, and simpler (Zierau et al., 2022). At the same time, companies can also benefit from interactions with VADs by collecting consumer-related data and storing it in large databases for marketing purposes (Guha et al., 2022; Rabassa et al., 2022).

        Conventional flipped learning instructional models are operated in a blended learning environment online and offline. In contrast, this study moved onto fully online systems and explored how a sense of presence worked for students’ learning outcomes at university English writing courses. The two research questions for this study are: 1) What is the relationship between a sense of presence (teaching, cognitive, social presence) and learning outcomes (group cohesion, class satisfaction)? and 2) What are the variables among a sense of presence that affect group cohesion and class satisfaction? For the purposes of this study, 46 university students from English composition courses answered student questionnaires in the spring of 2021. Correlation and multiple-regression analyses were conducted to look into the relationships among the variables. Additionally, focus-group interviews were conducted and teaching journals were analyzed. The major findings were revealed as follows: Firstly, a sense of presence was significantly related to group cohesion and satisfaction. Secondly, social presence and cognitive presence only had a predictive power of group cohesion. Thirdly, cognitive presence and teaching presence were significant predictors of class satisfaction. Pedagogical implications are discussed for those interested in applying flipped learning in a fully online setting.
