        This study aims to provide preliminary review for standardization of methods for evaluating reduction performance of pollution-reducing building materials and to select commercially available pollution-reducing building materials for assessing their current status. The ISO 16000-23 and -24 standards were used as references for standardizing the test methods. The sub test categories—stability of the supply air concentration, type of the supply air, and supply air concentration—which were not included in the standards were selected and conducted for the purpose of this study. Five (5) wall materials and 2 ceiling materials were tested for formaldehyde reduction performance and 3 wall materials were tested for toluene reduction performance. The study included experimental review of the essential test criteria such as stability of the supply air, internal stability of the chamber, and recovery rate. The samples tested exhibited some reduction performance for formaldehyde but little reduction performance for toluene.

        본 실험은 Dendrobium nobile 계통의 교잡종인 'Hamana Lake Dream' X 'No. 55' 유묘의 기내삽목 시 증 식 및 생육에 알맞은 배지와 배양조건을 구명하고자 실시하였다. Hyponex배지보다 MS배지에서 생장이 잘되었는데 MS배지에 활성탄을 0.1과 1.0g/L 수준에서 첨가했을 때 줄기수와 엽장, 근수, 생체중이 양호 하였으나 2.0g/L이상에서는 감소하였으나 통계적 유의성은 없었다. MS배지에 agar, sucrose, peptone, gelite 를 농도별로 첨가한 실험에서는 agar 5g/L 첨가 시 줄기 길이와 엽폭, 생체중의 값이 높았고, 절간장과 근수는 sucrose 40g/L을 첨가했을 때 효과적이었다. 또한 줄기수와 엽수는 peptone 1g/L에서 효과적이었으 나 gelite는 모든 농도에서 대조구에 비해 저조하였다. 기내삽목 시 배양온도는 28℃가 알맞았고 동일한 온도조건에서는 MS배지가 Hyponex배지보다 더 효과적이었다. 또한 sucrose 농도별 실험에서는 28℃에서 40 g/L를 첨가하는 것이 좋았다.

        In this study, a shear wall-slab damper system for seismic retrofitting of existing low-rise school buildings was proposed. The proposed system is to control the earthquake-induced vibration of the existing building structures using the energy dissipation effect of hysteretic damper inserted between the extended shear wall and existing moment frame. The numerical analyses were performed to investigate the vibration control efficiency of the shear wall-slab damper system and to identify the range of optimal yielding strength of the slab damper. In addition, variation of shear force of the extended shear wall with regard to the yield strength of the dampers in a range from 10 to 100 percent of the maximum base shear force of the retrofitted structure was investigated. The numerical analyses results showed that the maximum displacement of the structures with the slab damper whose yield strength is equal to 20 percent of the maximum base shear. On top of that, the slab damper system reduced the shear force of the shear wall by about 50 percent in comparison with the existing frame-shear wall system with rigid diaphragm slabs.

        겹꽃으로 개화하는 한국자생 산수국(Hydragea serrata for. acuminata)을 분화용 식물로 개발하기 위하여 알맞은 삽목시기를 구명하고 월별 삽목시기가 이듬해의 생육과 개화에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 하였다. 본 실험은 2008년 3월부터 9월까지 매월 10일날에 직경 15cm 크기 의 화분에 직접 삽목을 하여 재배한 결과, 초장은 5월에 삽목한 것이 31.7cm로서 가장 컷고 그 다음이 4월과 7월에 삽목한 것 이었으며 8월과 9월에 삽목한 것은 각각 23.6cm와 22.0cm로서 비슷하였다. 그러나 6월에 삽목한 것은 비정상적으로 작았고 생육도 매우 부진 하였다. 잎은 8월 이후에 삽목했을때에 엽폭이 좁아지고 엽장도 짧아져서 엽면적이 감소되었으며 엽병장 또한 짧아졌으나 착엽수는 변화가 없었다. 주당 꽃송이의 수는 5월에 삽목한 것이 4송이로서 가장 많았고 7월부터 9월 사이에 삽목한 것은 3송이가 피었으며 6월에 삽목한 것은 1송이가 착화 되어서 가장 적었다. 화관의 크기는 5월에 삽목한 개체가 직경 10.3cm로서 가장 컷으며 7월이후부 터는 삽목시기가 늦어질수록 화관의 크기가 감소되었다. 착화수나 꽃의 크기, 소화의 수 등의 개화 상태는 5월에 삽목한 것이 가장 양호하였고 6월에 삽목한 것이 가장 저조하였다. 그러나 8월과 9월에 삽목을 실시하더라도 이듬해에 관상가치가 있는 정상적인 꽃모양을 가진 꽃이 피었으나 개화시기는 약간 늦어졌다.

        Earthquake is one of the hazard so hard to provide because it is difficult predicted occurred time, scale and characters. Neighbors which have damaged by earthquake look out for statement of damage, It is bigger than nation which has not prepared seismic code at ordinary time seismic damage which belong to loss of life. The earthquake in Kobe, Japan showed that the damages were concentrated on the buildings which were not considered to be protected from the earthquakes. Seismic code applied structures was small damaged but non applied structures was much damaged such as collapse and loss of life. In this study, apartment structures in Korea analyze about earthquake hazard and evaluate seismic performance. Through the this study we have notice of earthquake hazard for apartment structures which live a lot of population of Korea and suppose necessary for seismic retrofit.

        In this study, the seismic performance of RC school buildings which were not designed according to earthquake-resistance design code were evaluated by using response spectrum and push-over analyses. From the results of analysis, the efficiency of the seismic retrofitting methods RC shear wall, steel frame, RC frame and PC wing wall for existing RC school buildings was evaluated and analysised. The analysis result indicate that the inter-story drift concentrated in the first floor and most plastic hinge forms in the column of the first story. And results of analysis of the efficiency of the seismic retrofitting indicate that inter-story drift significantly reduced and ductile behavior is expected.

        Trace analysis of Cd and Pb at surface modified thick film graphite electrode with Bi nanopowder has been carried out using square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) technique. Bi nanopowder synthesized by gas condensation (GC) method showed the size of nm with BET surface area, . For a strong adhesion of the Bi nanopowder onto the screen printed carbon paste electrode, nafion solution was added into Bi-containing suspension. From the SWASV, it was found that the Bi nanopowder electrode exhibited a well-defined responses relating to the oxidations of Cd and Pb. The current peak intensity increased with increasing concentration of Cd and Pb. From the linear relationship between Cd/Pb concentrations and peak current, the sensitivity of the Bi nanopowder electrode was quantitatively estimated. The detection limit of the electrode was estimated to be and for Cd and Pb, respectively, on the basis of the signal-to-noise characteristics (S/N=3) of the response for the solution under a 10 min accumulation.

        This study was performed to analysis the concentration of TVOC, 5VOC and formaldehyde for building material of total 262 using 20L test chamber. The concentration of TVOC, 5VOC and formaldehyde were measured 1.001㎎/㎡・h, 43.032㎍/㎡・h, 0.012㎎/㎡・h, respectively. TVOC concentration of paint and floor covering occupied the largest concentration of the indoor building materials as 2.689㎎/㎡・h, 2.120㎎/㎡・h, respectively. 5VOC concentration of floor covering was measured 106.636㎍/㎡・h. Toulene and xylene were occupied the largest part of the 5VOC as 51.2% and 33.1%, respectively. The concentration of formaldehyde for furniture materials occupied the largest concentration of the indoor building material as 0.072㎎/㎡h.

        This study was designed to identify the actual state of ready-to-eat street-foods usage in a college-town in northern part of seoul. For the empirical study, data was collected from customers who had eaten street-foods and a survey was conducted from 16 to 30, May 2006. The results showed that many respondents had irregular eating habits. More than 60% of them responded they usually skipped breakfast and the reason was no time. It was shown that they have had Frequent snacks and unbalanced diet. The results of survey are as follows ; 1. The major time for street-foods usage: p.m 3-5 (28.77%). 2. The frequency of street-foods usage: 1-2 times/week (43.85%). 3. The street-foods usage days of the week: weekday (52.79%). 4. The mean cost for the onetime purchase of street-foods usage: 1000-3000won (71.79%). 5. The monthly cost for the purchase of street-foods usage: below 50000won (81.84%). 6. The reason for street-foods usage: mainly convenience (60.61%). 7. The reason for minding street-foods : mainly insanitary (40.50)%. 8. Factors considered when choosing street-foods: tastes of the foods (65.08%). Also, it was shown that over 50% of respondents have considered the street-foods as the worth of meal replacement, and taken effective factor on eating habits for influx of new culture. It was indicated that problems of street-foods usage was the unbalanced nutrition for 81.8% of respondents and suggestions for improving the street-foods were sanitary controls for products for 63.4% of respondents.

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate English education experts’ current general views on the college English curriculum at Korean provincial universities and elicit their consensus of opinion on the distinctive characteristics of the curriculum. For that purpose, two rounds of the delphi survey were presented to forty experts, with thirty one experts’ responses in the first round and nineteen in the second. Based on their responses, the following characteristics of the Korean college English curriculum for provincial universities were deduced as a consensus of opinion: the curriculum is supposed to be more intensive, practical, proficiency-based, and university-specific than the curriculum for the universities in the Metropolitan area; it is supposed to be English for Specific Purposes (ESP) rather than English for General Purposes (EGP) in order to promote the future career of the individual provincial university students and the competitiveness of the provincial universities themselves.
