PURPOSES: Climbing lanes on expressways managed by the Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) have been hot potatoes due to conflicts between slow-moving vehicles such as trucks and other vehicles at the merging section as well as the less popularity with the slow-moving vehicles. In order to resolve such problems, KEC has altered existing climbing lanes to passing-type climbing lanes in 1999. The new type of climbing lanes showed an apparent improvement in mobility. For example, the speeds of vehicles using both climbing lane and other lanes improved a lot. However, there has been no clear evidence about improved safety. METHODS: This research effort was initiated to evaluate the safety of the new passing-type climbing lanes using the comparison-group(CG) method based on three-year-long traffic accident data sets before and after the change, respectively. RESULTS: The passing-type climbing lanes showed twice increased traffic accidents even though the traffic accidents on old type climbing lanes increased 1.1% during the same periods. In addition, in-depth study, the merging area of the passing-type climbing lanes was found out to be the weakest section where 43.8% traffic accidents out of total traffic accidents happened. It is noted that the merging area of the old type climbing showed only 25.0% traffic accidents. CONCLUSIONS : The new passing-type climbing lanes were found to be weak in terms of safety when compared with the old type climbing lanes. Especially, the merging area should be improved to reduce the risk of traffic conflicts between slow-moving vehicles and other vehicles.
PURPOSES : Capacity is a main factor of determining the number of lane in highway design or the level of service in road on operation. Previous studies showed that breakdown may occur before capacity is reached, and then it was concluded that capacity is a stochastic value rather than a deterministic one. In general, estimating capacity is based on average over maximum traffic volume observed for capacity state. This method includes the empirical distribution method(EDM) and would underestimate capacity. This study estimated existing empirical methods of estimating stochastic highway capacity. Among the studied methods are the product limit method(PLM) and the selected method(SM). METHODS: Speed and volume data were collected at three freeway bottleneck sites in Cheonan-Nonsan and West Sea Freeway. The data were grouped into a free-flow state or capacity state with speeds observed in the bottlenecks and the upstream. The data were applied to the empirical methods. RESULTS : The results show that the PLM and SM estimated capacity higher than EDM. The reason is that while the EDM is based on capacity observations only, the PLM and SM are based on free-flow high volumes and capacity observations. CONCLUSIONS : The PLM and SM using both free-flow and capacity observations would be improved to enhance the reliability of the capacity estimation.

수치한정발명은 공지발명에‘수치’라는 구성 이 개시되어 있지 않거나, 그 구성에 차이가 있음에 도 대부분 그 수치범위에 임계적 의의가 없다거나, 반복 실험에 의해 쉽게 도출할 수 있는 단순한 수치 한정에 불과하다는 이유로 특허성을 인정받지 못 한다. 그런데 최근 수정한정에 따른 임계적 의의가 없음에도 진보성이 인정된 대법원 판결들이 나타 나고 있고, 일본에서도 지적재산고등재판소가 생긴 이후 수치한정발명에서 진보성을 인정하는 사례들 이 많이 생겨나고 있다.
우리나라의 경우는 대부분 기술적 과제 내지 효 과의 이질성으로 인해 특허성이 인정되고 있지만, 일본의 경우는 임계적 의의로 인해 특허성이 인정된 사례도 있고, 또한, 효과의 이질성 내지 임계적 의의 가 없더라도 수치한정의 기술적 의의만으로 인해 특허성이 인정된 사례도 찾아볼 수 있다. 수치한정 을구성의곤란성관점에서바라볼때수치한정자체 에 기술적 의의가 있는 경우에는 해당 수치한정을 용이하게 도출할 수 있다고 볼 수 없기 때문에 우리 나라에서도 일본처럼 수치한정 자체에 기술적 의의 를 갖는 경우에도 특허성을 인정할 수 있도록 새로 운 판단기준을 마련해야 할 것이다
한편 수치한정을 수반하는 파라미터 발명의 경우 넓은 의미에서의 수치한정발명에 포함된다. 하지만 우리나라에서는 파라미터 발명에 관한 판 단기준을 수치한정발명의 판단기준과 별도로 제시 하고 있기 때문에 실무적으로 수치한정발명과 파 라미터 발명을 별도로 구분해서 특허성 여부를 판 단하고 있다. 그런데 이러한 이원론적인 접근 방법 은 특허성 판단 이전에 청구항에 기재된 발명이 파 라미터 발명인지 수치한정발명인지를 구분해야 하 기 때문에 심사관이나 심판관에게 부담이 될 수 있 고, 잘못된 판단을 초래할 가능성도 있다. 또한, 수 치를 포함한 발명이 수치를 한정하고 있는 대상(관 용적 파라미터인지 특수한 파라미터인지)에 따라서 그 판단방법이 달라진다는 것은 타당하다고 말하 기 어렵기 때문에 수치를 포함한 모든 발명에 공통 적으로 적용될 수 있는 통합적인 판단기준이 필요 하다고 본다.
이글에서제시된통합적인판단기준은현재의 판단기준을 그대로 따르면서도 수치한정발명이든 파라미터 발명이든 관계없이 하나의 판단기준만으 로 특허성 여부를 판단할 수 있도록 한 것이어서, 수치한정을 포함한 모든 발명의 특허성 여부를 좀 더 일관적이고 효율적으로 판단할 수 있게 될 것으 로 기대된다.
중국에서 이루어진 일본의 한자교육에 대한 연구는 대외 중국어 교육의 중요한 부분 중 하나이기 때문에, 이전의 많은 학자들은 이에 관심을 가지고 여러 방면에 서 연구를 진행하였다. 본고는 중국에서 이루어진 일본의 한자교육과 관련된 문장 과 논문, 전문 저서 79편을 분석하고 이를 분류하여 정리한 후, 综述 부분에서 자 형과 자음, 자의의 세 방면으로 나누어 각기 그 연구 성과를 비평하였다. 이러한 기초 위에 본문에서는 일본의 한자교육의 발전 상황에 대해 집중적으로 논의하였다. 30여년 동안의 발전을 통해 일본의 한자교육에 대한 중국에서의 연구 성과는 양적으로는 풍부하지만 연구의 방향이 경도화되어 있으며, 개별 국가에 맞는 특수 한 교육의 방법에 대해서도 아직까지 더 많은 발전이 요구되는 상황이다.
Fund-raising is critical to start-up and early stage company. We try to analyse a status of fund-raising in start-up and early stage company, and a correlation between angel investment and start-up. With last 10 years’ data sheets, we find that angel investment is not related with start-up fund raising.
본 실험은 건전한 토마토 접목묘 생산을 목적으로 활착 및 순화기에 광환경을 달리하여 접목부위에 캘러스의 형성을 도우며, 접목묘의 광합성이 원활할 수 있는 적정 광환경을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 암 처리를 하지 않는 방법(Non), 접목부분만 암 처리하는 방법(Part), 2일간 암 처리 후 순화실로 옮기는 방법(Day-2), 4일간 암 처리 후 순화실로 옮기는 방법(Day-4) 등으로 처리하였다. 접목은 1.5mm 실리콘 튜브를 이용하는 방법으로 하였으며, 부분 암 처리를 위해 튜브를 끼워 둔 접목부분을 알루미늄호일로 감싸주었다. 연구결과, 활착율은 2일간 암 처리 후 순화실로 옮기는 방법(Day-2)에서 가장 좋았으며, 유묘의 SPAD 값과 묘소질 및 초기 수확량은 모두 접목부분만 암 처리한 방법(Part)에서 가장 우수하였다. 또한 경제성 분석에서도 부분 암처리 방법이 타 처리에 비해 추가 비용이 발생하지만, 초기 수확량이 많아서 타 처리보다 월등히 높은 소득이 예상되었다. 따라서 토마토 접목시 가장 적절한 광처리는 접목부분만 암 처리한 방법(Part)이 가장 좋은 방법으로 판단되었다.
Multi-view system is one of the auto-stereoscopic displays that allows users to watch 3D images without wearing special glasses. Generating contents for the multi-view display system is often accomplished using Depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) intermediate view generation. DIBR-based intermediate view generation method reconstructs a 3D scene with a color image and depth map information. Then, a virtual camera is put in various view positions to capture intermediate view images. In this research, we tried to improve the quality of the DIBR-based intermediate views by applying non-uniform quantization method for depth map information. This paper describes the intermediate view generation process using DIBR. Then, it discusses the evaluation of multi-view intermediate images generated using uniform and non-uniform depth quantization methods. Finally, the paper describes the future direction and how the muti-view systems can be utilized in computer games.
The purpose of cooperation is to obtain mutual benefit. The basic process on cooperation is exchanging something that an individual cannot product. It means that cooperation can be decomposed into two processes: give and take. So, social network combined with give and take process becomes a complex system that represents cooperation. However, there was no method to measure cooperation numerically based on the complex system model before. Online messenger is an appropriate tool because it works on social network. With the number of messages sent or received on messenger, cooperative score is measurable in real time. To do it, the following three elements should be considered. First, cooperation means that both give and take need to be equally distributed among people in an organization. This measurement is available from entropy in information theory. However, without the amount of activity in give and take process, the equal distribution is not enough to present cooperative score. Last, the biased activity with a large amount of activity must be inhibited. Without the third element, only competition is led for selfish benefit. The example in the paper shows that cooperative score equation is proper to be applied if there are countable information in give and take process. With this cooperative scoring system, organizations could easily detect cooperativeness among teams and employee in real time.
본 연구는 질적 연구로서 대학교육의 일환으로 부각되고 있는 볼룸 댄스(Ballroom Dance)와 댄스스포트(DanceSport)의 교육방법 및 교수자료 개발이라는 맥락에서 서울에 위치한 S대학교 학생들을 중심으로 실시되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 룸바의 기본 동작들을 본 연구자가 라반동작 분석과 바르테니에프 기본원 리를 토대로 개발한 무한 신체 운동 시스템(ISES)과 발레 탄듀를 적용했을 때 발생되는 결과를 알아보는 것이었다. 본 연구에서 참여자들의 근본적 룸바 움직임이 특징적 탄듀의 미적 동작과 무한 신체 운동 시스템의 안전적 적용을 통하여 증진된다는 결과를 도출했다. 따라서 발레 탄듀 와 무한 신체 운동 시스템은 기본적 룸바 움직임에 유익하며, 특히 앞, 뒤, 옆, 그리고 제자리에 서 이루어지는 기본적인 체중이동에 효과적이었다. 그러나 본 연구는 다섯 명이라는 특정 참여 자들에 관한 사례연구로써 일반화하기에는 주의가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 자연스럽게 룸바의 움직임을 촉진하고, 효과적으로 기본 동작을 수행하는데 다 음과 같은 세 가지의 핵심 요소들로 함축할 수 있다는 결과를 얻었다. 이러한 요소들은‘발레의 움직임 기반과 무한 신체 운동 시스템 및 룸바’,‘발레 탄듀의 특성 및 룸바’,‘미적 부문의 상 승’ 등이다. 본 연구를 통해 발레, 무한 신체 운동 시스템, 그리고 룸바에는 각각 고유의 움직임 테크닉들이 존재하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 이 유형들의 움직임 간에는 서로 밀접한 관계 를 형성하고 있음을 발견할 수 있었고, 각 유형의 움직임들은 서로 다른 유형의 움직임에 긍정 적인 도움을 주고 있음을 알아냈다. 본 연구에서 제시된 교육방법과 교수자료는 교육과 학습을 위한 대학교육의 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다
Many automotive components for power generation such as motors and alternators have been widely using ferrite magnets. To ensure a high level of efficiency could be achieved in an alternator, the assembled magnets must be in good enough durability. Recently, some hairline cracks have been found on the magnet produced by manufacturers in Korea. Thus, there is an increasing concern that some of the magnets produced could cause further problems after being assembled in the alternator. Based on the standard alternator test (RS0008 : 2006), this paper has developed an accelerated failure-free test for magnets in alternator to demonstrate that assembled magnets will meet durability objective specified by the manufacturer. This guarantees the target life of the magnet with 90 percent reliability and 90 percent confidence level (R90C90). Temperature and rotation speed were selected as accelerated stress factors.
Because the damages of corrosion resulting from the chloride ion are very serious, many research studies have been performed to measure the penetration depth of the chloride ion. However, there is a problem with data selection obtained from collection during experiments. In this study, it appears that the collected data are not conformed to a normal distribution. The result of this study will play a very important role, as a first step for the development and construction of a forecasting system to help determine a reliable service lifetime of marine structures.
Estimation approaches for casual relation model with high-order factors have strict restrictions or limits. In the case of ML (Maximum Likelihood), a strong assumption which data must show a normal distribution is required and factors of exponentiation is impossible due to the uncertainty of factors. To overcome this limitation many PLS (Partial Least Squares) approaches are introduced to estimate the structural equation model including high-order factors. However, it is possible to yield biased estimates if there are some differences in the number of measurement variables connected to each latent variable. In addition, any approach does not exist to deal with general cases not having any measurement variable of high-order factors. This study compare several approaches including the repeated measures approach which are used to estimate the casual relation model including high-order factors by using PLS (Partial Least Squares), and suggest the best estimation approach. In other words, the study proposes the best approach through the research on the existing studies related to the casual relation model including high-order factors by using PLS and approach comparison using a virtual model.
Korean local governments have been planning for u-City construction with great efforts. Such efforts are needed in order to reflect the urban characteristics of each city, to promote local economic growth, and to have a sustainable operation model. Thus it is critical at an earlier stage to set a strategic direction based on urban environment analysis, which will lead to a feasible implementation of u-City. This paper derives issues and suggests improvement methods based on a case study on the USPs (u-City Strategy Planning’s) of ten local governments. It is expected that the improvement methods will greatly reduce risks involved in u-City construction and contribute to better provided local-specific u-services.
There is an increasing amount of discussion toward ODA as national status of Korea has greatly been increasing. Developing countries, especially, are highly appraising Korean case studies where education plays significant role as fundamental basis of economic development which, in turn, increases the scale and demand of cooperation with Korea. Despite growing international interest and scale of education ODA, there is not only limitation in domestic professional manpower engaged in development but also lack of plans to nurture experts and to proliferate participation of aid in education field . Thus, based on‘Competency’that has high feasibility, this study aims to theoretically examine overall capacity, talents, skills, and values etc, that are required for education development cooperation experts. Approaching ways deduced from the following study would be of support to establish‘Competency’based nurturing system for the government, universities that are already practicing for promotion of the experts in international education development cooperation, nationally and internationally.
Soy sauce, a basic ingredient in Asian cuisine, is made of fermented soybeans, salt, water, and barley or wheat flour. The sensory characteristics of soy sauce are not only determined through its main ingredients but also by various flavor compounds produced during the fermentation process. This study was conducted to identify the sensory attributes of five different commercial soy sauce samples that differ in Meju types (traditional Meju or modified Meju) and usage types. Thirty three sensory attributes, including appearance (1), odor (16), flavor (14), and mouthfeel (2) attributes, were generated and evaluated by eight trained panelists. The collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance and principal component analysis. There were significant differences in the intensities of all sensory attributes among the soy sauce samples. Soy sauce made with traditional Meju had high intensity of fermented fish, beany, musty odors and salt, Cheonggukjang, fermented fish flavors. Whereas two soy sauces made with modified Meju were strong in alcohol, sweet, Doenjang, roasted soybean flavors. Two soy sauces for soup made with modified Meju had medium levels of briny, sulfury, fermented odors and bitter, chemical flavors and biting mouthfeel characteristic.
PURPOSES : About 35% of air pollutant is occurred from road transport. NOx is the primary pollutant. Recently, the importance of NOx removal has arisen in the world. TiO2 is very efficient for removing NOx by photocatalytic reaction. The mechanism of removing NOx is the reaction of photocatalysis and solar energy. Therefore, TiO2 in concrete need to be contacted with solar radiation to be activated. In general, TiO2 concrete are produced by substitute TiO2 as a part of concrete binder. However, 90% of TiO2 in the photocatalysis can not contacted with the pollutant in the air and solar radiation. Coating and penetration method are attempted as the alternative of mixing method in order to locate TiO2 to the surface of structure.
METHODS : The goal of this study was to attempt to locate TiO2 to the surface of concrete, so we can use the concrete in pavement construction. The distribution of TiO2 along the depth were confirmed by basing on the comparison of TiO2 compare by using the EDAX(Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy).
RESULTS : TiO2 were distributed within 3mm from concrete surface. This distribution of TiO2 is desirable, since the TiO2 induce photocatalysis are located to where they can be contacted with the air pollutant and solar radiation.
CONCLUSIONS : Nano size TiO2 is easily penetration in the top 3mm of concrete surface. By the penetration TiO2 concrete can be produced with the use of only 10% of TiO2, by comparing the mixing types.
