This study was investigated the contents of total polyphenol, flavonoids and antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of Codonopsis lanceolata extracts according to different steaming times. The contents of total polyphenol and flavonoid proportionally increased from 6.45 mgGAE/g to 18.26 mgGAE/g and 2.01 mgRE/g to 6.12 mgRE/g according to ethanol extracts at EDS7. DPPH radical scavenging activity was found to have been 15.26~65.2% and showed the highest level of antioxidant activity at EDS7 was 65.2%. The activity of ABTS radical scavenging and SOD-like activity were also the same result. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity was related to the number of steaming, and the scavenging activity was increased up to 7 times of steaming. The antimicrobial activity of EDS7 had strong antioxidant activity. Antimicrobial activities were examined against 5 microorganisms related to pathogens and food poisoning. The antimicrobial Activity was different depending on the bacteria, but it was effective at the concentration of 300 mg/mL rather than 150 mg/mL. These results showed that Codonopsis lanceolata extracts with a different number of steaming would be conducted to confirm the possibility of developing antimicrobial and antioxidant. It will be helpful in the study of component analysis of Codonopsis lanceolata extracts processed products.
In this study, hot water and ethanol, acetone, and hexane extracts of the steamed Deodeok were investigated for use as raw materials for natural cosmetics. Hot water and ethanol, acetone and hexane extracts of steamed Deodeok did not indicate cell toxicity up to 300 μg/mL concentration in the MTT assay. The tyrosinase inhibition effects of the ethanol extract were higher than the ascorbic acid. The efficacy of the steamed Deodeok's ethanol extract on the elastase inhibition was similar to that of quercetin at higher concentrations. In conclusion, water, ethanol, acetone and hexane extracts of the steamed Deodeok indicated strong possibility as a whitening and anti-wrinkle functional cosmetic ingredient. Among them, the steamed Deodeok's ethanol extract, which showed excellent activity, is highly available because it has high safety compared to other organic solvent extraction methods used in cosmetics, and has minimal irritation to the skin.
사상초유의 대통령 탄핵을 경험한 한국사회에서 인터넷은 소통의 새로운 방식이자 공간의 확장으로 여겨진다. 그러나 중국의 인터넷 공간은 한국과는 사뭇 다른 방향으로 발전하고 있다. 표현의 자유보다는 ‘인터넷 주권’이 우선시되기 때문에 국가 안보를 위협하는 요소들은 모두 검열과 차단의 대상이 되고 있다. 인터넷 만리장성(Gr eat Firewall of China)의 구축, 구글·페이스북·트위터 등 글로벌 인터넷 기업들의 퇴 출과 중국 IT 기업의 부상은 중국 내 인터넷 통제가 더욱 견고해지고 치밀해지는 과정을 여실히 보여준다. 이와 동시에 중국정부는 경제발전에 핵심적 역할을 담당하는 인터넷 산업을 발전시키기 위해 적극적인 지원을 아끼지 않고 있다. 정부의 지원에 힘입어 중국은 모바일 결제 시스템, 공유경제 시장에서 타의 추종을 불허하는 성장세를 보이고 있다. 본고는 중국의 사례를 통해 인터넷 공간이 국가권력에 의해 어떻게 재영토화되는 지와 공간이론으로 설명하기 힘든 중국식 가상공간의 확장을 살펴보고, 중국을 포함 한 전 세계적 가상공간이 보편성을 획득하기 위해 갖추어야 할 선행조건에 대해 고민해보고자 한다. 아울러 서구 철학사와 물리학사에서 논의되어온 절대적 공간 개념 및 상대적 공간 개념이 중국의 인터넷 공간에서도 적용 가능한지를 짚어봄으로써 중국의 인터넷 공간이 지니는 특성에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
The study aims to design an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program model for college English classes (CECs) in Korea. To achieve this aim, two questions were raised: 1) how do foreign universities apply EAP into their CECs? and 2) what are differences in Y university students' satisfaction with the current CECs system and their future needs? In order to answer the first research question, several cases of English programs in foreign universities were investigated through Internet queries. For the second question, we collected surveys from a total of 673 undergraduates. The results indicated that foreign universities primarily target English for general academic purposes, prefer task-based instruction in their EAP classes, and emphasize academic writing and reading skills. In addition, the survey results displayed that the satisfaction with current CECs and future needs are different among students in different disciplines, most students hope to take EAP classes prior to their 4th semester, and students prefer a class size less than 20 students, and an after-class workload less than 4 hours a week. Those results were integrated to ultimately establish a dual model for EAP. More detailed accounts of the model are discussed in the paper.
1. 키르키즈스탄에서 한국형 토마토 재배 온실 내 최저온도는 12월 상순에 12℃ 내외였고 딸기 재배온실은 10℃ 내외로 상당히 양호하였다.
2. 10월 1일부터 12월 2일까지의 최고 광량은 토마토 온실에서 400W/m2, 딸기 온실에서 300W/m2 미만인 날이 대부분으로 광은 부족하였다.
3. 환기관리가 정상적으로 이루어지지 않아 잎 결로시간이 토마토는 10시간, 딸기는 12시간 이상 되는 날이 많아 곰팡이 병에 매우 취약한 것으로 나타났다.
4. 한국형 온실에서 문제점은 온도보다는 광량이 적은 것이 토마토, 딸기의 생산성을 감소시키는 요인으로 판단되었다.
5. 온실 시공 시 보온다겹커튼보다는 광 환경에 유리한 알루미늄보온스크린, 투광보온스크린 등이 설치되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.
6. 재배기술에 있어서는 수경재배에서 일사제어와 배액구 적정 위치를 충분히 이해하지 못하고 있었으며 타이머로 관수하였다.
7. 키르키즈스탄에서 저온기 과채류의 생산을 증대하기 위해서는 온실 시공 시 광량을 증가시키는데 중점을 두어야 하며, 결로를 예방할 수 있는 보일러, 환기 제어시설 등과 함께 온실을 운영하는 기본적인 관리기술도 함께 보급되어야 할 것이다.
본 연구는 토마토 코이어 자루재배시 습해의 원인을 구명하고 습해를 방지하기 위하여 실시하였다. 실험은 미니찰을 고시하고 단동형 2중 플라스틱하우스에서 실시 되었다. 배양액은 Yamazaki 토마토 전용배양액을 사용하였으며. 배양액 공급시간은 해뜨고 1시간 후 시작하여 해지기 2시간 전에 종료하였다. 자루당 I자형 찢기 및 L 자형 찢기는 6개씩 15cm 길이로 찢었으며, 밑 찢기는 3 개씩 15cm 길이로 뚫었다. 배액구 위치에 따른 배지무게는 포습 24시간 후 I자형 찢기는 14.2kg, L자형 찢기는 13.8kg, 밑 찢기는 12.8kg로 밑 찢기가 가장 가벼웠다. 포습 24시간 후 1일 관수하여 무게를 측정한 결과 I 자형 찢기는 14.5kg, L자형 찢기 14.2kg, 밑 찢기 13.3kg 로 역시 밑 찢기가 가벼웠다. 이것은 밑 찢기에서 배지 내 함수량이 가장 적은 것을 의미한다. 부정근 발생정도 는 I자형 뚫기 및 L자형 뚫기에서 160 및 170개 발생하였으나 밑 뚫기에서는 53개 발생하였다. 뿌리의 건물중 (5주)은 밑 찢기가 57g으로 I자형 찢기 23g 및 L자형 찢기 25g과 비교해서 2배 이상 높았으며, 뿌리길이도 밑 찢기가 31.4cm로 다른 찢기 방법과 비교하여 길었다. 상품수량은 밑 찢기가 26.5kg/20주 로 I자형 찢기 19.7kg, L 자형 찢기 24.0kg와 비교해 높은 수량성을 보였다. 따라서 U자형 베드에서 코이어 자루배지를 이용하여 수경재배를 할 경우 배액구는 밑 찢기로 만들어야 습해를 방지하여 생산성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다.
최근 언론을 통해 보도된 성폭력범죄의 대다수는 성폭력범죄를 저지른 전력이 있는 자들에 의해 이루어진 것이다. 성폭력범죄자들이 계속하여 동종범죄를 저지르는 주목할 만한 이유 중 하나는 친고죄인 성폭력범죄에 있어 피해자들이 고소하지 않는 경우에는 검사가 공소를 제기할 수 없으므로 범죄자들이 처벌받지 않는다는 것을 알고 있다는 점에 있다. 이들이 범한 성폭력범죄 중 피해자와 합의하거나 피해자가 피해사실을 고소하지 않아 처벌받지 않은 경험이 그들의 향후 성폭력범죄를 조장한 것이다. 따라서 성폭력범죄에 대한 처벌의 확실성 측면에서 현행법상 친고죄로 규정되어 있는 성폭력범죄를 전면적으로 비친고죄화 해야 한다. 현행법상 성폭력범죄를 친고죄로 규정한 이유는 피해자의 명예 또는 프라이버시 보호에서 찾는다. 그러나, 현행법상 일부 성폭력범죄는 비친고죄인 점과, 성폭력범죄는 반복적으로 이루어지는 경향이 강하다는 점을 고려할 때, 고소권자가 고소를 하지 않아 처벌을 면하게 된 성폭력 범죄자는 또 다른 피해자 사냥에 나서 성폭력범죄의 피해자의 재생산을 막지 못한다는 점에서, 성폭력범죄의 예방이라는 공공의 이익을 위해 성폭력범죄는 비친고죄로 하여야 한다. 이에 의해 성폭력범죄의 필벌을 통한 형벌의 일반예방과 특별예방의 효과의 실효성을 누려야 한다. 다만, 성폭력범죄를 비친고죄로 전면 개정하는 경우에도 현행 법률이 성폭력범죄를 친고죄로 규정함으로써 피해자의 명예 또는 사생활을 보호하려 한 취지는 보호할 필요가 있다. 즉, 성폭력범죄의 수사절차와 재판절차에서 일어날 수 있는 성폭력범죄 피해자의 2차 피해를 막기 위해 범죄피해자의 신상비밀 보호규정의 실효성을 확보할 것, 미국 연방강간피해자방지법(FRE) 제412조 규정을 참고하여 당해 성폭력사건과 무관한 성폭력피해자의 성관계 이력 등의 증거사용 제한 규정을 신설할 것, 성폭력범죄 피해자에게 인정되는 형사소송법 및 특별법상 권리를 실질적으로 보장하기 위해 권리고지규정을 신설할 것 등이 필요하다.
This study aimed to explore the etfect of translated writing on English writing performance of Korean learners of English and their perceptions on translated writing in comparison with direct writing depending on their English proficiency level. A total of 75 male high school students were divided into two groups according to their L2 writing expertise and were asked to perform two ditferent writing tasks: 1) write directly in English (direct writing), and 2) write in Korean first and then translate the draft into English (translated writing). 136 written compositions (68 direct writing samples and 68 translated writing samples each) from 68 students were selected for analytical scoring and T-Unit analysis. The 68 students also filled a survey questionnaire which asked which type of writing was preferred for their English writing. The results showed that the performance of the direct writing was significantly better than that of the translated writing for hjghlevel writers, while there were no great ditferences among low-Ievel writers between the two writing tasks. T-Unit analysis revealed that syntactic complexity between direct and translated writings by two proficiency groups did not yield any statistically significant ditferences, and more students preferred translated writing to di rect writi ng in general. 8ased on the results, pedagogical implications are suggested.
This study aimed to investigate characteristics of English summary skills of Korean college freshmen. To achieve this aim, 120 English summary writings were collected from an English diagnostic test for college freshmen. Two texts with different features were used for the test. Text A is a persuasive essay with a problem/solution structure, and Text B is an expository essay with a collective structure. Fifty-three students summarized Text A and the others Text B. For each of the text groups, students were classified into two groups by their summary level. In the analysis of the writings considering the genre of the original text, organization, and adherence to summarization rules, it was found that the learners summarized the persuasive essay better than the expository essay. The high-ability group used various transition words and followed the structure of the original text when they organized their writings. As for summarization rules such as invention, selection, and paraphrasing, Text A group did not show any difference in their creation skill of topic sentence between the high- and low-ability group. On the other hand, the high-ability group that read Text B was better at creating general sentences than the low group. There was not a significant difference between the high- and low-ability groups in their paraphrasing skills, Text A group in general performing better than Text B group. Further suggestions and pedagogical implications are discussed.
This paper aims to examine the differential degree of the task difficulty presented in high school English activity books. To achive the aim, the researchers analyzed tasks for three levels(high, intermediate, and low) in five English activity books currently published based on the revised 7th National Curriculum for high school freshmen. The criteria utilized for grading task difficulty are modified from Ellis(2003a, 2003b) which were developed to account for task complexity in terms of input, conditions, processes and outcomes. The results revealed that in general, the tasks of the activity books were organized in the sequential order of difficulty from low, imtermediate to high proficiency, but the difference of task difficulty across the three proficiency levels was not significant. It was also discovered that among three main factors determining task difficulty, task condition, task process, and task outcomes, task process and required task outcomes were more frequently adopted to di fferentiate the task difficulty level. In addition, there was lack of communicative tasks integrating four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in all the five activity books. Further study suggesiotns and limitations are followed.
이연구에서재식밀도, 적심, 그리고예취가생육과수 량에 영향을 미쳤다. 재식거리 90cm × 30cm에서 최고 의생장과 수량을얻었는데, 이재식거리에서는최고초 장이 140cm, 식물체당 1차, 2차 및 3차 분지수가 각각 32개, 164개및 367개로자랐다. 이처리에서건조한꽃 의무게는 10a당 98kg에달해재식거리 120cm × 30cm 에비해 40% 증수되었다. 경경, 지상부 건물중및건조 한 꽃 무게는 적심 하였을 때 무적심에 비해 증가되었 다. 7월 10일 적심시 건조한꽃 무게가 10a당 102kg으 로무적심에 비해 57% 증가되었다. 생육과 수량특성은 무예취와 6월 10일예취처리간에비슷하였지만 7월 10 일예취에서는초장, 경경및분지수가무처리에비해유 의하게감소되었다. 누적 지상부 건물중은모든처리에 서차이가없었지만 6월 10일예취시건조한꽃무게와 꽃수가 10a당각각 123kg과 2,592개로가장많았다.
This study is to investigate the relationship between teaching and testing restricted on English listening comprehension processing. 726 listening activities in three textbooks of High School English and 80 questions in four nationwide English listening comprehension tests for high-school first grades were analyzed and classified into micro-skill categories of top-down, bottom-up and interactive processing. The results revealed that the tests put emphasis on the top-down processing in contrast to overemphasis of the textbooks on the bottom-up processing, whereas interactive processing took up a small portion both in the textbooks and tests. While the number of questions requiring bottom-up processing reduced in the tests, all the questions of bottom-up processing were focused only on one specific micro-skill, comprehending details. Further, despite diverse demonstrations of top-down micro-skills, each micro-skill question for top-down processing in the tests took some specific forms, which might lead students only to studying for preparation for the specific forms rather than for enhancing general comprehension abilities. Further pedagogical suggestions and implications for listening teaching were suggested.
This study examines ESL learners’ satisfaction levels in two types of ESL writing courses at a Midwest American university. Approximately 100 students in an English-for-General Purposes (EGP) writing classes and 27 students in an English-for-Business Purposes (EBP) writing classes were surveyed. Responses to survey items were then analyzed using factor analysis. The two primary satisfaction factors identified from the response patterns were social atmosphere of the classes, and the effectiveness of ESL instruction. The degree of students’ satisfaction with the ESL instruction efficiency was not much different between the two groups of students, whereas the level of satisfaction with social atmosphere was significantly higher among the EGP students than the other group. Furthermore, in general, students’ perceived improvement on some writing skills after taking their ESL class was significantly higher than before taking the class, and particularly the perception level of improvement of organizational writing skill was significantly different among the two ESL groups, the EGP students reporting more improvement than the students. These results were discussed for further implications for development of ESL curriculum in the context under study in specific, and in Korean English education context in general.
Effect of seedling type and early transplanting of summer grown seedling on the growth and yield of tomato was investigated to minimize problems caused by legginess of seedling in summer. Grafted seedling, 20 days seedling (young seedling), 40 days seedling, and rooted cutting were raised from July 20 to Sept. 7 and young seedling was transplanted 20 days earlier than other seedling types. Young seedling growth was weaker than other seedling types and fresh weight was only 1/10 of 40 days seedling. Growth of young seedling at 20 days after transplanting was better than other seedling types and fresh weight was 3 times higher than 40 days seedling. Creased stem did not appear and trusses developed faster in young seedling. Total yield and commercial yield were highest in young seedling as 8,535 kg/10a, and 7,575 kg/10a. There is no significant difference among seedling types in fruit quality. This result shows that early transplanting of summer grown seedling is more effective to attain stable growth and yield in tomato.
토마토 억제 재배 시 생산비를 절감하고 토마토의 수확시기를 앞당기며 잦은 경운에 의한 토양환경을 보호하고자 가지대목(EG203)을 활용한 딸기후작 토마토 무경운 재배법 연구를 실시하였다. 가지대목(EG203)을 사용하여 토마토 재배를 실시한 결과 풋마름병 발생은 무경운 재배에서 실생은 30%, 가지대목(EG203)은 0%였으며 경운 재배에서는 실생은 25%, 가지대목(EG203)은 0%였다. 가지대목(EG203)을 이용한 경운 및 무경운 재배에서 상품수량은 각각 2,693, 2,657 kg/10a로 유사하였으며 당도 및 경도도 차이를 보이지는 않았다. 따라서 딸기 후작 토마토 재배에서 풋마름병에 대한 안전성을 높이기 위해 가지대목(EG203)을 활용하여 접목을 실시하여야하며 가지대목(EG203)을 이용하여 재배할 경우는 경운과 무경운 재배의 차이가 나타나지 않으므로 경제성 및 환경적으로 무경운 재배가 유리할 것으로 판단된다. 토마토 정식 당일, 10, 20, 30일 후 전작물인 딸기를 제거한 결과 20, 30일 후 제거에서 초장과 절간장은 길었으나 다른 생육에서는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 상품 수량은 정식 당일 제거한 것이 1,885 kg/10a로 30일 후 제거 1,678 kg/10a보다 12% 많았으나 전작물인 딸기의 제거 시기는 딸기의 생육과 가격을 토마토의 기대소득과 비교 경제성을 분석하여 결정하여야 할 것으로 생각된다.
This research was performed to test the effects of oleic acid for the management of greenhouse whiteflies and tobacco whiteflies. Tobacco whiteflies, especially, are the vectors of tomato yellow leaf curl virus on tomato plants. Whiteflies are not only the vectors of various viruses but also the major insect pests that cause direct damages through sucking and induce sooty mold with their sweet dew on tomato plants. There are many eco-friendly management measures including the use of yellow sticky trap and natural enemies such as Eretmocerus eremicus and Amblyseius swirskii. However, these management measures have difficulties to implement in the greenhouse. Therefore, in this research, oleic acid was tested for its effect on the management of whiteflies at various concentrations of 1,000ppm, 2,000ppm, or 4,000ppm. As a result, treatments of 1,000ppm, 2,000ppm and 4,000ppm oleic acid showed the control value of 70%, 76% and 84%, respectively. In another test, treatments of 2,000ppm oleic acid, and control treatment of 1,5000ppm neem oil and 50ppm dinotefuran showed the control value of 82%, 75%, and 75%, respectively. Cost for one application of oleic acid and neem oil for 10a area would be 3,180 Won and 20,150 Won, respectively. As a result, it was assumed that the use of oleic acid would be a appropriate management measure.
