이 연구는 식품산업의 경쟁력 확보 수단으로 클러스터에 대한 논의가 세계 각국에서 활성화되고 있음을 감안하여 경남지역의 식품산업이 클러스터로 형성 및 발전이 가능한지를 분석하였다. 클러스터의 잠재성 평가는 2차 자료로 측정이 가능한 5가지 지표를 사용하여 분석 하였다. 평가지표로는 클러스터의 절대적 규모, 상대적 규모, 전문화, 지배력, 집적도가 사용되었다. 측정지표의 분석결과 경남의 식품산업은 클러스터 조성시 경제적 효과의 창출이 가능하며, 경쟁력 뿐 만 아니라 지역전문화와 지배력을 갖춘 것으로 평가되어 잠재적 클러스터 기준에 합치하는 것으로 나타났다.

본 논문은 벤처기업가의 창업위치결정에 대한 분석을 통해 기업집적의 전략적 도구로 인정되는 클러스터의 성장 동력을 체계적으로 분석했다. 한 기업가의 창업위치 결정은 `전략적 사안`으로서, 다음의 세 가지 동력의 상호작용에 의해 작동함을 도출하였다. 그 세가지 동력은 창업위치에 본질적으로 담겨진 효용과 비용의 편차, 신규 진입기업의 연구개발 역량, 클러스터에 이미 진입해 있는 기존기업의 연구개발 역량 등이다. 본 논문은 신생기업의 입장이 클러스터에 진입하는 것에 존재하는 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면을 제안하면서 연구가설을 도출하였다. 그 긍정적인 면은 기존기업의 지식 스필오버에 의한 지식학습 효과이며, 부정적인 면은 지식뺏김 효과이다. 이 양 측면에 대한 전략적 결정에 의해 창업위치가 결정되고, 거시적으로는 클러스터의 성장 여부가 결정됨을 가설로 설정했다. 한국 바이오 벤처기업 710개를 실증대상으로 선정해서, 앞서 설정한 논리에서 도출된 연구가설들을 검증하였다. 실증분석에서 발견은, 조직유산과 클러스터의 경쟁상황에 의해 비용과 효과가 달라진다는 점, 그리고 클러스터에서 작동하는 협력규범의 존재 등에 의해 신생기업이 클러스터에서 창업하게 됨을 발견하였다. 결론적으로 신생기업에게 전달되는 지식 스필오버 효과가 클 때 기업집적 효과가 증가하며, 클러스터가 성장하게 됨을 확인하였다.

In this study, we offered a way that is to make warehouse industry clustered in Incheon port for getting competitive and high end value added activities like advanced port logistics center considering trend that is changing functions of port and importance of port-hinterland. For this, we studied the existing research about port cluster, the present condition of warehouse industry in Incheon port and importance of value-added logistics activities. Also, we offered needs to build a high value-added and integrated logistics center by examples of advanced port logistics center in Singapore, Netherlands(Rotterdam) and Hongkong. We get the questionnaires for gathering ideas of port logistics industry about to set integrated logistics centers by strategy we offered that is making warehouse logistics clustered.

본고에서는 지난 1990년부터 추진된 포동 개발·개방의 배경과 목적, 추진 과정에서 등소평의 역할, 구체적인 추진 방식, 네 개의 핵심 기능클러스터의 형성 등을 중국의 최근 자료에 기초하여 상세히 고찰하였다. 1990년 개발·개방을 시작한 이래 포동신구의 경제는 경이적인 고성장을 계속하였다. 포동의 GDP는 1990년의 60.2억 위안에서 2006년에는 2,365억 위안으로 급증해, 16년간 연평균 18.4%의 실질성장을 기록하였다. 또 2006년 말까지 외국인 직접투자 계약건수는 1만 4,910개, 계약금액은 357.1억 달러에 이르렀다. 타 성·시에서 투자한 국내기업도 9,300여 사이고, 등록자본은 600억 위안에 이르렀다. 그 결과 전형적인 농촌지역이었던 포동은 이제 외향형, 다기능의 현대화된 신도시로 바뀌었다. 이제 포동은 중국 전역에서 가장 경제발전 수준이 높고, 주변에 대한 파급력이 강하며, 가장 개방적이고 국제화된 지역의 하나가 되었다. 포동의 개발·개방을 계기로 1990년대 이후 장강삼각주 경제권은 전체 중국경제의 새로운 중심으로 부상하게 되었다. 몇 가지 문제점이 없는 것은 아니지만, 전체적으로 볼 때 지난 15~16년간 포동의 개발·개방은 매우 성공적이었다고 평가할 수 있다.

A high performance computing cluster for astronomical computations has been built at Korea Astronomy Observatory. The 64 node cluster interconnected with Gigabit Ethernet is composed of 128 Intel Xeon processors, 160 GB memory, 6 TB global storage space, and an LTO (Linear Tape-Open) tape library. The cluster was installed and has been managed with the Open Source Cluster Application Resource (OSCAR) framework. Its performance for parallel computations was measured with a three-dimensional hydrodynamic code and showed quite a good scalability as the number of computational cells increases. The cluster has already been utilized for several computational research projects, some of which resulted in a few publications, even though its full operation time is less than one year. As a major resource of the K∗Grid testbed, the cluster has been used for Grid computations, too.
