        목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 균형능력에 문제가 있는 만성 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 과제 지향적 활동의 실험군과 보존적 작업치료의 대조군과의 중재결과를 비교하여 일상생활동작의 수행 능력과 균형능력, 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2000년 7월부터 2008년 6월까지 뇌졸중 진단을 받고 서울 △병원에서 입원 치료를 받은 대상자 중 본 연구 목적에 맞는 실험군 18명 대조군 15명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 모든 중재는 훈련받은 2인의 작업치료사가 3개월 동안 주 5회, 1일 30분씩 시행하였고, 실험군은 과제 지향적 활동으로, 대조군은 신경발달치료를 기반으로 한 보존적 작업치료로 중재하였다. 중재 전·후 일상생활동작과 균형능력, 작업수행 만족도는 Berg Balance Scale(BBS), Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM), Functional Independence Measure(FIM)으로 측정하였다. 결과 : 중재 후 과제 지향적 활동의 실험군(p<.001)과 보존적 작업치료를 받은 대조군(p<.01)의 균형능력과 일상생활동작 수행능력, 환자의 만족도 모두 중재 전보다 유의하게 향상되었다. 중재 후 집단 간 비교에서는 균형능력(p<.05)과 환자의 만족도(p<.01)에서 실험군이 대조군보다 유의하게 향상되었다. 일상생활동작 수행능력에서는 집단 간 차이를 보여주지 못했다(p>.05). 결론 : 본 연구 결과에 근거하여 과제 지향적 활동이 보존적 작업치료보다 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 일상생활동작 수행능력과 균형능력, 만족도를 향상하는데 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

        This paper examines whether and how L2 learners’ reading strategies vary depending on the task type or on the measure of eliciting strategy use. Participants were 28 college students in a Korean university. Two reading tasks (i.e., reading for comprehension vs. reading for summarizing) and three measures of strategy use (i.e., pre-reading strategy survey, while-reading think aloud, and post-reading strategy check list) were employed to answer the posed research questions. The researcher’s observation of the participants’ thinking-aloud and a post-task interview were also implemented for data triangulation. All the participants completed two tasks based on two texts (one for each) selected from the same chapter in a book that were considered equivalent in length, readability, and topic. The results revealed that the number of reading strategies reported decreased dramatically in the order of strategy survey, strategy check list, and think aloud. Significantly more frequent use of reading strategy was found in reading for comprehension than in reading for summarizing, large portion of which was devoted to bottom-up style decoding, while in reading for summarizing the students approached the text with more focused attention caring about propositional connections at discourse level. Some other findings are presented along with implications for reading research and for L2 reading instruction.

        내현적 주의와 재정향이 탐지과제 수행에 미치는 영향을 반응촉진과 회귀억제를 통해 탐색하였다. Posner와 Cohen(1980)의 고전적인 탐지패러다임에서는 단서를 제시하고 일정한 자극제시시차 후 그 단서와 같거나 또는 다른 위치에 나타나는 표적에 대한 탐지수행을 관찰한다. 본 연구에서는 내현적 주의를 유발하기 위해 단서가 표적에 대해 예측력을 가지도록 조작하였고, 단서자극과 표적 사이에 새로운 단서(재정향단서)를 삽입하여 재정향을 유도하였다. 실험 1에서는 재정향단서가 제시되는 시기를 초기, 중기, 후기로 구분하여 실험을 실시하였다. 그 결과 재정향이 제시되는 시기별로 자극제시시차(150ms, 400ms, 850ms)에 따라 다른 양상의 반응촉진 및 회귀억제가 발생하였으나, 해석 가능한 일정 패턴을 확인하기는 어려웠다. 하지만 재정향이 초기에 발생한 실험조건을 재분석한 결과, 반응촉진과 회귀억제가 자극제시시차에 따라 교차하여 나타나는 단순탐지과제의 전형적인 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 실험 2에서는 실험 1에서 재정향이 초기에 발생하는 조건에 대한 추가 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 자극제시시차가 짧을 때는 반응촉진이 발생하였으며 자극제시시차가 길때는 회귀억제가 발생하였다. 이 결과는 단서자극이 표적에 대한 예측력을 가질 때 자극제시시차가 긴 조건에서 회귀억제가 사라진다는 기존의 보고(Wright & Richard, 2000)와 반대되는 결과이다. 이 결과는 최초 단서가 제시된 후 회귀억제의 효과가 소멸되기 전에 매우 빠르게 제시되는 재정향단서는 이중 회귀억제를 가져온다는 것을 제안한다. 본 연구는 내현적 주의에 의해 특정한 위치에 주의를 할당할 때에도 반복적으로 빠르게 제시되는 단서자극은 회귀억제를 극대화함으로써 내현적 주의를 상쇄할 수 있음을 시사한다.

        The purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility of task-oriented arm training for chronic hemiparetic stroke patients. The experimental design in this study was the pre-test and post-test with control group for 4-week intervention. Thirty patients with chronic hemiparetic stroke were recruited from 2 rehabilitation units. The subjects were divided randomly into experimental and control groups. The experimental group conducted task-oriented approach, involving 3 subparts of upper extremity activities, and the control group involved in the general upper extremity exercises. Functional movements of the upper extremities were assessed using clinical measures, including the Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity Section, Box and Block Test, and Action Research Arm Test. The score of Fugl-Meyer Assessment showed greater increases in the experimental group than in the control group after training. The improvement in Box and Block Test between pre-test and post-test measurements was significantly greater after task-oriented arm training compared to general upper extremity exercises. Action Research Arm Test scores also improved after task-oriented arm training compared to exercises in the control group. The task-oriented arm training improves the gross and fine motor activities and encouraging the use of the paretic arm through activity dependent intervention expedites the recovery of functional activities in the upper extremities for chronic hemiparetic stroke.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the two different types of chairs on trapezius muscle activation during dictation tasks. Seventeen university students, each of whom were within standard deviation of the mean Korean standard body size, voluntarily participated in this study. Surface electromyography was used to collect electrical signals from both the upper and lower trapezius muscles. Amplitude Probability Distribution Function (APDF) was performed to analyze the muscle activity. The findings of this study were 1) The backrest-point height of the auditorium chair and the height, length and width of the connected desk were shorter than what was suggested by the KS. Another difference was that the auditorium chair had a bigger angle of the backrest compared to the classroom chair. 2) Regarding within-subject effect the sole statistically significant difference was found between activation of the upper trapezius muscle. The upper trapezius muscle's %RVC in the APDF 10th-50th-90th percentile was statistically higher for participants sitting in the auditorium chair than for participants sitting in the classroom chair (p<.05). 3) There was an interaction effect between the 'two chair-types' and the 'two muscle-sides' in the APDF 10th-50th percentile (p<.05). 4) There was an interaction effect between the 'two chair-types' and the 'three gaze-direction' in the APDF 90th percentile (p<.05). The findings of this study indicated that maintaining a writing posture for a prolonged period of time in an auditorium chair significantly increased the left upper trapezius muscle activation compared to a classroom chair.

        This study investigated the effects of pairing based on English proficiency and gender on high school students’ speaking task performance. A total of 16 high school students - 4 female advanced, 4 female intermediate, 4 male advanced, and 4 male intermediate learners - performed two information gap tasks spotting differences between two pictures, once with a same-level learner and once with a different-level learner. Their performance was analyzed in terms of degree of task completion, amount of utterances and fluency. The results showed (a) advanced level learners performed the task more accurately, more fluently, and in higher length when they were paired with advanced level learners than paired with lower level learners, although the differences were not significant; (b) For intermediate level learners, male students demonstrated a better performance when paired with higher level learners, but female students performed better when paired with the same level learners. The findings are discussed with regard to more feasible and more effective ways of grouping for pair work in high school English classes.

        본 논문은 한국학 연구를 수행하는 학문집단이 내면적으로 지녀야 할 규범에 대한 검토 작업이다. 그러한 논의 지평은 한국학이 아시아의 연대의식 구축을 위해서 독자적이고 자립적인 ‘자치적 학문공동체’의 모습으로 등장되어야 한다는 것에 설정된다. 이러한 논의 안에서 오리엔탈리즘이나 옥시덴탈리즘의 시각은‘아시아적 연대의식’구축의 저해 요소로 전제된다. 본 논문은 두 시각에 내재한 근본적 문제가 무엇인가를 검토하면서, 그 극복에 대한 단초를 시론적 형태로 제시하는 것에 그 초점을 맞춘다. 그러한 시도는 본 논문 안에서 두 가지의 방법에 의해 제시된다. 첫째는 동서의 기존 가치에 상호 간의 가치 덕목을 보충하는 교차적 상보작업이다. 둘째는 상호 전통문화에 대한 비(非)대응적, 혹은 다(多)대응적인 눈높이를 지니게 하는 일이다. 이러한 작업은 동·서양의 동등한 상호이해를 전제로 옥시덴탈리즘과 오리엔탈리즘에 들어있는 권력관계를 지양하는 것에 들어있다. 이러한 시도는 학문 차원의 미시적 연구가 수행할 의무이자, 그러한 의무 이행은 공동체적 연대에서만 가능하다. 서양에 대한 객관적 이해를 위해서 먼저 아시아에서의 올바른 연대가 필요하며, 이러한 작업은 한국학 탐구의 규범적 태도를 설정하는 기준으로까지 부상되어야 할 것이다.

        목적 : 본 연구는 기능적 전기자극 동안의 과제훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 상지기능에 미치는 영향을 평가하고, 회귀분석 을 통해 인과관계에 따른 설명력을 확인하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자 39명을 대상으로 중재방법에 따라 세 그룹으로 나누어 비교하였다. 15명 의 실험군은 기능적 전기자극 동안에 과제훈련을 실시하였고, 13명의 대조군Ⅰ은 기능적 전기자극만을 실시하였으며, 11명의 대조군Ⅱ는 과제훈련만을 실시하였다. 6주 후에 분산분석을 통해 세 그룹 간에 손의 근력과 상지의 기능, 운동 활동 지표와 일상생활활동에서 평균변화량의 차이를 각각 비교하였다. 그리고 영역별 결과에서 상지기능의 향상에 대한 잠재적인 변인들과의 상관관계를 분석하고, 회귀분석을 통해 상지기능에 영향을 주는 요소의 인과관계를 분석하였다. 결과 : 연구 결과 손의 근력과 상지 기능, 운동 활동 지표에서 세 그룹 간에 유의한 차이를 확인하였고, 기능적 전기자극 동안에 과제훈련을 실시한 실험군에서 통계적으로 유의한 향상을 보였다(p<.05). 이러한 긍정적인 결과에서 나타난 각 요소들은 상호간에 높은 상관관계를 보였으며, 변수간의 인과성을 확인하기 위한 위계적 중다회귀분석 결과, 모형 1에서는 근력(R2 = .17), 모형 2에서는 움직임의 질(R2 = .28), 모형 3에서는 움직임의 질과 실험군 중재법(R2 = .37)이 유의한 설명력을 보였다. 운동 활동 지표 중 움직임의 질과 실험군에서 실시한 중재 방법이 상지 기능에 가장 영향력 있는 변수로 나타났고, 상지기능의 회복을 위해 기능적 전기자극 동안의 과제훈련에 대한 중요성을 입증하였다. 결론 : 기능적 전기자극 동안에 과제훈련을 실시한 실험군은 대조군Ⅰ,Ⅱ보다 손의 근력과 상지기능, 운동 활동 지표에서 더 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 또한 움직임의 질과 기능적 전기자극 동안의 과제훈련이 상지기능 향상을 위한 높은 설명력을 보였다. 따라서 뇌졸중 환자의 상지기능 향상을 위하여 기능적 전기자극 동안에 능동적이고 반복적인 과제훈련 적용이 작업치료사에 의해서 활발하게 이루어져야 할 것이다.

        목적 : 본 연구에서는 뇌졸중 환자들에게 RECK MOTOmed viva2를 이용한 반복적 단일 운동 치료와 과제 수행을 통한 과제 지향적 운동 치료의 적용이 상지 기능 향상에 미치는 효과를 비교해보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 대상자는 2010년 3월부터 동년 9월까지 A병원에서 뇌졸중으로 진단받고 재활치료가 의뢰된 입원환자 들 중 선정 기준에 적합한 46명을 각각 23명씩 반복적 단일 운동 치료군과 과제 지향적 운동 치료군으로 나누어 중재 전, 후의 변화를 비교해 보았다. 대상자들은 3주간 30분씩 주 5회 작업치료를 받았고, 추가적으로 RECK MOTOmed viva2를 이용한 반복적 단일 운동 치료 혹은 과제 수행을 통한 과제 지향적 운동 치료를 3주간 30분씩 주 5회 동안 받았다. 상기 기능 향상을 알아보기 위하여 중재 전, 후에 Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA), Manual Function Test(MFT)를 실시하였다. 결과 : 반복적 단일 운동 치료군의 상지 기능은 FMA의 총점이 21.22±12.35에서 25.26±11.88로, MFT의 총점이 33.17±22.83에서 41.52±23.69로 향상되었고(p<.05), 과제 지향적 운동 치료군의 상지 기능은 FMA의 총점이 22.22±12.48에서 26.39±10.84로, MFT의 총점이 33.52±21.83에서 42.22±21.67로 향상되었다(p<.05). 결론 : 반복적 단일 운동 치료군과 과제 지향적 운동 치료군의 상지 기능 향상을 비교해 본 결과, 두 군 사이에 유의한 차이가 없다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 반복적 단일 운동 치료와 과제 지향적 운동 치료가 대근육 기능 또는 소근육 기능과 같은 상지의 특정 기능 향상에 유의한 영향을 미치기 보다는 전반적인 상지의 기능 향상을 유도한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of attentional focus and distance of external focus on the performance of balance task of upper extremity. Subjects (N=30) held a stick (2 m) and maintained it horizontally. All of the subjects performed balance task of upper extremity under four different attentional focus conditions: focus on hand (internal focus), marker at 10 cm inside of hand (external focus 1), marker at 10 cm outside of hand (external focus 2), marker at 20 cm outside of hand (external focus 3). The mean velocity of the bar (mm/s) and the muscle activity of biceps brachii (%RVC) were measured. They were decreased when the subjects focused on external focuses compared to internal focus and decreased as distance of attentional focus from body increased (p<.05). There were significant differences between groups (p<.05); internal focus-external focus 1, internal focus-external focus 2, internal focus-external focus 3, external focus 2-external focus 3. These results showed that external focus is more effective than internal focus in enhancing motor performance and focusing on more distant attentional focus results in enhanced motor performance promoting the utilization of more automatic control mechanisms.

        Previous task-based focus on form studies have shown that second language (L2) learners are strongly interested in lexis, which allows minimal attention for morphosyntax. A possible reason may be a lack of sufficient lexical knowledge crucial for completing a meaning-oriented task. In other words, from an L2 information processing perspective, learners may have limited attentional capacity to focus on the multiple aspects of a language, so they choose to focus on words as they express their meaning. But this leaves little attention for less salient and meaningful grammatical forms. Thus, this study investigated if providing learners with lexical assistance during a synchronous text-based computer-mediated communication (CMC) task would reduce their attention to lexis and divert that attention to morphosyntax. Twenty Korean learners of English performed a picture-based narrative task in dyads through online text chatting. While engaging in this task, one group of learners (n=10) was able to refer to a list of English words for the task, while the other group (n=10) was not. The findings showed no statistically significant differences between and within the groups. Possible explanations are discussed with suggestions for teaching and future research.

        This study examines the effects of the sequence of increasing task complexity in different modalities on the learning of the English past tense of Korean secondary learners. Robinson’s (2007) Cognition Hypothesis argued that learners pay more attention to grammatical forms in complex tasks than in less complex tasks. He suggested that tasks should be sequenced in such a way that resource-dispersing dimensions are first increased in complexity followed by an increase in the complexity of resource-directing dimensions. However, little empirical research has been done on how tasks are sequenced according to their cognitive complexity and how task modality affects second language development in the sequence. Fifty-four learners were divided into an integrated (writing with oral interaction) task group (EG 1), an oral-only task group (EG 2) and a comparison group (CG). After the sequence of six tasks was completed, one-way ANOVA revealed the EGs outperformed the CG significantly on the posttest. The mean score of EG 1 was the highest, while the improvement rate of EG 2 was the highest among the three groups. It is hoped that this result will contribute to building a solid basis on which practitioners can make decisions about sequencing tasks and implementing task modality.

        The purpose of this study is to examine the activity ratios of global trunk muscles and local trunk muscles in relation to adjustments in the level of task difficulty while performing stability exercises in easily applied bridging lumbar stabilization exercise. Twenty healthy subjects performed bridging lumbar stabilization exercise while the level of task difficulty was plate was used in the same posture for all the exercises. EMG was used to examine the activity ratios of the global muscles and multifidus in relation to the level of task difficulty. Moreover, the activity ratios of the multifidus muscle, the erector spinae and the gluteus maximus muscle were measured. A one-way ANOVA with repeated measures was used, and a Bonferroni correction was conducted (=.05). When the bridging lumbar stabilization exercise were performed at different difficulty levels, the activity of the multifidus muscle, which is a local muscle, was high in all three exercises. Also, compared to low intensity and intermediate intensity exercises, high intensity exercises showed more significant differences (=.05). Among all the muscles, the multifidus showed the highest activity at intermediate intensity. Based on these results, we suggest that in the case of bridging lumbar stabilization exercise, low intensity or intermediate intensity exercises are more suitable and efficient for local muscle stabilization.

        The present study was motivated by the claim that attention and noticing are important for SLA and investigated the extent to which learners may notice the target form and its subsequent learning through noticing. To address the methodological concern about how to collect and analyze noticing data, the dictogloss procedure was employed following Swain’s (1998) suggestion. The transcripts of LREs of each pair of the learners were examined to capture the moments when their attention was drawn to form for their L2 output when performing a dictogloss. In general, the basic premise that the more attention to the form, the better its chance of learning was attested. There was also a positive relationship between the extent of noticing and subsequent learning and the learner’s readiness for the target form. This result led to the second research question which explores what factors constrain noticing and learning of the target form. Internal learner capacities (i.e. readiness, attentional capacity, bias, type of processing, and familiarity) appear to be the crucial constraining factors on noticing and subsequent learning. There was a disparity between the extent of noticing and learning outcomes in the case of some learners. This disparity seems partly due to the problem with the coding of noticing data. Therefore, the present study suggests that concerns still exist about how to best operationalize and measure the noticing of L2 forms. Finally, the limitations of this study are discussed and suggestions for future research are provided.

        The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the effects of the secondary task with unexpected situation during simulated driving using the variable indicating control of vehicle. The subjects were participated 50s people including 15 males with 29.5±6.7 years of driving experiences and 15 females with 20.1±5.6 years of driving experiences. All subjects were instructed to keep a certain distance (30m) from the car ahead and a constant speed (80km/hr or 100km/hr). Sending text message(STM) and Searching navigation(SN) were selected as the secondary task. Experiment consisted of driving alone for 1 minute and driving with secondary task for 1 minute. It was defined driving phase and unexpected situation phase respectively. Medial-lateral coefficient of variation(MLCV) of car movement was analyzed for evaluating lane keeping in this study. In the results, MLCV was increased by 118.3% at 100km/hr. In the case of secondary task, MLCV in STN and in SN were increased by 235.1% and 290.3%, respectively. There was no significant difference between male and female. In case of driving at high-speed and with secondary task, it may be disturbed constant control of the vehicle when unexpected situation appeared suddenly.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a task-oriented approach on weight-bearing distribution and muscular activities of the paretic leg during sit-to-stand movement in 18 chronic stroke patients. Both groups were received neurodevelopmental treatment for 30 min/day and then the experimental group (=9) followed additional a task-oriented approach (sit-to stand training with controlled environment) and the control group (=9) followed a passive range of motion exercise for 15 min/day, five days/week, for four weeks. Weight-bearing distribution and muscular activities of the paretic leg during sit-to-stand movement were measured before and after four weeks of training. There was significantly improved weight-bearing distribution of the paretic leg during sit-to-stand movement in the experimental group compared with that of the control group after four weeks of training (p<.05). But electromyographic activities of the quadriceps and the tibialis anterior of the paretic leg were not significantly different (p>.05). Thus, it is necessary to apply a task-oriented approach to improve the weight-bearing distribution of the paretic leg during sit-to-stand movement in chronic stroke patients.

        This study is intended to examine the tDCS and Montoya stair task(MST) on sensorimotor recovery and glial scar expression in MCAo induced stroke model of rat. To achieve this goal, this study selected 80 SD rats of 8 weeks. The experiment groups were divided them into four groups, and assigned 20 rats to each group. GroupⅠ was a experimental control group; GroupⅡ was a tDCS application group after MCAo; GroupⅢ was a MST application group after MCAo; GroupⅣ was a tDCS and MST application group after MCAo. In each group, neurological function test measurement, motor behavior test, montoya stair task test, immunohistochemistric finding of GFAP expression finding were analyzed. In motor behavior test, the outcome of groupⅠ was significantly difference than the other group, especially from 14days. In montoya stair task test, the outcome of groupⅠ was significantly lower than the other group especially, groupⅡ were significantly different on 14days and group Ⅳ was most significantly difference than the other group. In immunohistochemistric finding, groupⅡ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ were decrease GFAP expression on depend on time stream. These results throughout the MCAo due to focal ischemic brain injury rat model four weeks tDCS and MST was applied, when the neurobehavioural, upper extremity function and ability, histopathologic data suggest that sensorimotor function recovery and a positive influence on glial scar decrease and confirmed that.

        본 연구의 목적은 차량 통제 변인과 동작의 부드러움 변인을 이용하여 동시 과제 수행이 운전 수행 능력에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 제시하는 것이다. 1~2년의 운전 경력을 가진 피험자 20명이 실험에 참여하였다. 피험자는 동작분석을 위해 상지(shoulder, elbow, wrist) 및 하지(knee, ankle, toe)에 9개의 마커를 부착한 후, 운전 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 80km/hr로 주행하는 선행 차량과 30m의 간격을 유지하며 직선 주행하도록 하였다. 동시과제는 문자 메시지 보내기와 네비게이션 검색으로 선정하였다. 실험 시간은 2분으로 운전 시작 후 1분은 운전만을, 다음 1분은 운전과 동시과제를 함께 실시하도록 하였고, 각각 운전구간과 동시과제구간으로 정의하였다. 차간거리(Anterior-Posterior Coefficient of Variation, APCV) 및 차선이격거리의 분산계수(Medial-Lateral Coefficient of variation, MLCV)와 저크비용함수(Jerk-cost function, JC)를 이용하여 운전 수행 능력을 평가하였다. APCV는 운전구간에 비해 운전 중 네비게이션 검색 시 222.1% 증가하였다. MLCV는 문자 메시지 전송 과제를 수행할 경우, 318.2%, 네비게이션 검색 과제를 수행할 경우 309.4%가 증가하였다. JC는 운전구간에 비해 동시과제 수행 시, 팔꿈치, 무릎, 발목, 발가락에서 유의하게 증가하였고, 하지마커 전체의 평균값은 문자과제 수행 시 218.2%, 네비게이션 과제 수행 시 294.7%가 증가하였다. 운전 중 동시과제의 수행은 JC를 증가시켜 운전자의 동작의 부드러움을 감소시키고, APCV와 MLCV를 증가시켜 차량의 횡적 종적 통제를 어렵게 한다고 결론 내릴 수 있다.
