        In South Korea, the level of Highway Pavement Management System (HPMS) was developed since early 2000. During this time numbers of professional pavement condition monitoring equipment were developed and applied in the actual field. One of the remarkable results is 3D Pavement condition Monitoring profiler vehicle (3DPM) designed and developed in Korea Expressway Corporation Research Division (KECRD). Thanks to this equipment, The surface condition of current pavement can successfully be monitored and proper following management strategy cab be established. However, the inner condition of pavement layer cannot be monitored dur to limitation of 3DPM equipment. In this paper, Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR) mixture creep test was performed to verify the effectiveness of current 3DPM equipment. It was found that the current 3DPM equipment has reasonable feasibility on surveying pavement condition.

        This paper is a study of a prototype development project in progress as part of an industry-academia joint technology development task. The so-called bird collision test equipment is a study to prove the validity of the performance and function content of the test equipment through the speed measurement of the specimen corresponding to the bird and other test procedures to evaluate its function by developing the bird collision test equipment, and the research and development goal is to establish a bird collision simulation test environment and develop data performance methods through this industry-academia study.

        선박에서 호흡성 심정지가 발생하거나, 장시간 심폐소생술을 하는 경우, 가슴압박소생술이 아닌 구조호흡을 동반한 심폐소생 술이 요구된다. 이에 선박은 산소 공급을 위한 구조호흡 장비를 보유하고 선원들은 이를 사용할 수 있는 해기능력을 갖추어야 한다. 본 연구는 선박 내 구조호흡 장비 활용을 높이기 위하여, 선박의 구조호흡 장비 설치 현황과 선원의 사용의향을 분석하여 개선방안을 제시 하기 위한 조사연구이다. 2023년 2월 2일부터 4월 21일까지 진행하였으며, 총 340명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여, 빈도와 백분율, 카이제곱 검정으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 직책에서 항해사와 선장, 근무부서에서 갑판부, 항해구역 에서 외항선 선원이 선박에서 구조호흡 장비를 많이 확인한 것으로 분석되었다. 선원의 구조호흡 장비에 사용의향은 낮았고, 주요 저해요 인은 사용방법을 모르는 것이었다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성 중 직책이 항해사, 선장, 근무부서는 갑판부, 항해구역은 외항, 총톤수 2만 톤 이상인 경우, 구조호흡 장비에 대해 사용의향이 높았다. 그리고 구조호흡의 필요성을 알고, 실습과 장비 교육을 받은 선원이 구조호흡 장비 사용에 적극적인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 모든 선박이 구조호흡 장비를 갖출 수 있도록 제도 마련이 되어야 하고, 선박 내에서 구 조호흡 장비에 대한 접근성을 높이는 환경조성이 필요하다. 또한 구조호흡 장비에 대한 실습과 장비 교육 기반의 교육체계를 구축하여 선원이 해기능력을 갖추도록 해야 한다.

        PURPOSES : As the number of fixed traffic enforcement equipments increase rapidly, it is necessary to improve efficient operation and management plans. The aim of this study is to evaluate the factors influencing fixed traffic enforcement equipment failure. METHODS : This study utilized binary logistic regression analysis using the database provided by the Korean Road Traffic Authority to evaluate the factors affecting the failure of fixed traffic enforcement equipment. RESULTS : As a result of the evaluation of this study, the main factors affecting failure were red-light camera, old equipment, Jeju, National expressways, and equipment with low speed limits. CONCLUSIONS : This study can be used as basic data on the improvement of operation management plas for maintenance of traffic enforcement equipment. Through this study, it will be possible to establish a step-by-step plan with high efficiency comapared to the input of required manpower.

        During wartime, the operation of engineering equipment plays a pivotal role in bolstering the combat prowess of military units. To fully harness this combat potential, it is imperative to provide efficient support precisely when and where it is needed most. While previous research has predominantly focused on optimizing equipment combinations to expedite individual mission performance, our model considers routing challenges encompassing multiple missions and temporal constraints. We implement a comprehensive analysis of potential wartime missions and developed a routing model for the operation of engineering equipment that takes into account multiple missions and their respective time windows of required start and completion time. Our approach focused on two primary objectives: maximizing overall capability and minimizing mission duration, all while adhering to a diverse set of constraints, including mission requirements, equipment availability, geographical locations, and time constraints.

        In this paper, among the various facilities used in marine farming, young bivalves of the Mytilus galloprovincialis of marine farming was placed on the deck of the fishing vessel to evaluate the environment conditions and drive shaft movement by rolling affecting the separator for the young bivalves and a clean process. There were a few studies on stress analysis of development facilities because it was difficult to access the fishing site due to the use of imported equipment and the lack of development of domestic equipment. In this study, stress analysis of the fixed part of separator for young bivalves and its adjacent part was performed on various phases when the vessel was tilted by rolling using the finite element method. In addition, the structural safety of the internal blade under the driving conditions according to the movement of the drive shaft by the hydraulic motor was confirmed through structural analysis. As a result, the connection part between the deck and the separator by rolling was confirmed to have higher stress than that of other parts due to stress concentration. In addition, it was confirmed that the maximum stress occurred on the connection part between blades. Even though the safety of the separator for marine farming was confirmed by structural analysis, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the age of vessels, the material of the deck, and the corrosion of the deck.

In pursuit of efficient loading procedures characterized by precision and time-effectiveness, our study has delved into the realm of optimization modeling. Employing a mixed-integer mathematical programming approach, this optimization model offers a valuable tool to streamline and enhance the preparatory phase of amphibious operations.

        PURPOSES : The evaluation of the low-temperature performance of an asphalt mixture is crucial for mitigating transverse thermal cracking and preventing traffic accidents on expressways. Engineers in pavement agencies must identify and verify the pavement sections that require urgent management. In early 2000, the research division of the Korea Expressway Corporation developed a three-dimensional (3D) pavement condition monitoring profiler vehicle (3DPM) and an advanced infographic (AIG) highway pavement management system computer program. Owing to these efforts, the management of the entire expressway network has become more precise, effective, and efficient. However, current 3DPM and AIG technologies focus only on the pavement surface and not on the entire pavement layer. Over the years, along with monitoring, further strengthening and verification of the feasibility of current 3DPM and AIG technologies by performing extensive mechanical tests and data analyses have been recommended. METHODS : First, the pavement section that required urgent care was selected using the 3DPM and AIG approaches. Second, asphalt mixture cores were acquired from the specified section, and a low-temperature fracture test, semi- circular bending (SCB) test, was performed. The mechanical parameters, energy-release rate, and fracture toughness were computed and compared. RESULTS : As expected, the asphalt mixture cores acquired from the specified pavement section ( poor condition – bad section) exhibited negative fracture performances compared to the control section (good section). CONCLUSIONS : The current 3DPM and AIG approaches in KEC can successfully evaluate and analyze selected pavement conditions. However, more extensive experimental studies and mathematical analyses are required to further strengthen and upgrade current pavement analysis approaches.

        PURPOSES : The numeric-based Highway Pavement Management System (HPMS), along with an advanced three-dimensional pavement condition monitoring profiler vehicle (3DPM), in South Korea has presented remarkable advancements in pavement management since the early 2000. Based on these results, visual distress on pavement surfaces can be easily detected and analyzed. Additionally, the entire expressway pavement surface conditions in South Korea can be easily monitored using the current graphical user interface-based advanced information graphic (AIG) approach. Therefore, a critically negative pavement section can be detected and managed more easily and efficiently. However, the actual mechanical performance of the selected pavement layer still needs to be investigated in a more thorough manner not only to provide more accurate pavement performance results but also to verify the feasibility of the current 3DPM and AIG approaches. In this study, the low-temperature performance of the selected asphalt pavement layer section was evaluated to further verify and strengthen the feasibility of the current 3DPM and AIG approaches developed by the Korea Expressway Corporation. METHODS : Based on 3DPM and AIG approach, the positive and negative-riding-quality road sections were selected, respectively. The asphalt material cores were extracted from each section then bending beam rheometer mixture creep test was performed to measure their low-temperature properties. Based on the experimental results, thermal stress results were computed and visually compared. RESULTS : As expected, the asphalt material from the negative driving performance section presented a poorer low-temperature cracking resistance than that from the positive driving performance section. CONCLUSIONS : Current 3DPM equipment can successfully evaluate expressway surface conditions and the corresponding material performance quality. However, more extensive experimental studies are recommended to verify and strengthen the findings of this study

        Thin-film shape technology is recognized for its core technology to enhance the technology of LCD, PDP, semiconductor manufacturing processes, hard disks and optical disks, and is widely used to form coated thin films of products. In addition, resistance (electron beam filament) technology for heating is used to manufacture filament for ion implants used in semiconductor manufacturing processes. By establishing an electronic beam filament production system and developing seven specifications of electronic beam filament, it is contributing to improving trade dynamics and increasing exports to Japan through localized media of theoretical imports to domestic companies. In this study, CAE analysis was performed after setting electron beam filament specification and development objectives, facilities and fabrication for electron beam filament production, electron beam filament JIG & fixture design and fabrication followed by electron beam filament prototype. Then, the automation and complete inspection equipment of the previously developed electronic beam filament manufacturing facilities was developed and researched to mass-produce them, to analyze and modify prototypes, design and manufacture automation facilities, and finally, to design and manufacture the complete inspection equipment. In this paper, design and manufacture of electronic beam filament total inspection equipment for mass production were dealted with.
